Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
The house poem, penned by All4oliverwood:
Get up off of your seats
Ready for some fun?
You ain't seen nothin' yet
For this years just begun
Friends are rollin' in
It's faces old and new
Nothing comes between us
Dear Gryffindors be true
Outside of the castle
Ready for things to fly
Lions are soaring strong
In a game that's do or die
On this autumn night
Near the crimson fireplace
Solid friendships forming
People so full of grace
Rockin' the competition
In a race for the house cup
Doing everything we can
Earning points to keep us up
Reeling for a win
Us Lions gettin' it done
Loyality guiding us through
Everyone working as one
Ahh yes. Finally got away from those crowd of students. Zeke was so relieved to be in a place where he'd be seeing just enough amount of people. It was way past lunchtime, that ruckus with the Hufflepuff girl and her lost pygmy puff totally got in the way and he completely forgot about lunch until now. Talk about delay of time. He'd tried to find a place for the little fella to stay in which consumed his time. But he finally decided he couldn't put it anywhere safe where it couldn't run away. Puffles. Hm.
And that delayed him until his stomach growled. Only then was he reminded he hasn't eaten lunch so Zeke was there now, in the Gryffindor House Table. For the first time though, he didn't go there alone. He took the pygmy puff with him. And he gave it a name: Hairball. Zeke just had no other choice than to find the owner again, he wouldn't want to go through the trouble of actually taking care of it.
He'd thought of handing it over to someone else, but he knew no one. He also thought of giving it to some stranger student but found it too troublesome since he had to tell the whole story on how he got it. So he took it with him. And it was on the table, watching him eat. It felt strange how the pygmy puff never seemed to show any sign of wanting to leave. Zeke didn't even have to try, even if he didn't carry it with him, Hairball followed him and his every move. Gee.

The whole morning all Ness had been doing was searching for her pygmy puff. Where he was? She honestly had no idea, but she really wanted to find him soon. He had never been away from her for this long before and she had really begun worrying. What if something bad had happened to her beloved Puffles. What if he was hurt? What if he was kidnapped? Or worse what if he was dead? The thought made Nessie shudder. She couldn't think like that about her precious Puffles. He was alright, he had to be wherever he was. She just had to believe he was okay.
It was then that she entered the Great hall, a little hungry herself. She could definitely do with some lunch and knowing her pygmy puff it was possible he was already here too, probably eating. She headed over to the Hufflepuff table, but stopped when she saw the good looking boy that she had seen earlier. He was supposed to help her look for her pygmy puff, but she couldn't blame him if he didn't. After all Puffles was her responsibility and nobody elses.
Renesmee walked over to him, hoping she wouldn't stutter this time. She wanted to apologize and she wanted to ask him if there was anyway she could repay him. Not even asking she took a seat beside him and gave him a small smile. "Erm..um..Ttthank you..for eearlier." her stuttering was better then before at least. "I'm sorry I ..I..I acted so strangely." And now her cheeks we're beginning to redden. "I still haven't find my pygmy puff, he must be lost for good." She sighed at the thought. What she didn't realise was that Puffles was right there, right next to this boy, but she was completely oblivious. "I'm Renesmee by the way, but you can call me Nessie." she said trying to be a little more polite then before.
If only she wasn't so focused on this Gryffindors looks then she might have noticed Puffles.

Great, just great. Zeke was all contented that he'd found an empty spot at the edge of the Gryffindor House Table but there always had to be someone. Why? WHY? Lately, the number of people who suddenly approaches him increased. Before nobody even noticed him at all nor talked to him since it was clear on his face he didn't want company and would shun anyone before they even attempt to speak to him. What on earth was with it this term?
The owner of Hairball was here. It was her. Again. Suddenly beside him. So much for privacy. He faced the girl and looked at her. With the much brighter light from the place, he got a better look at her. 'Renesmee? What an unusual name.' He thought as he took in her striking features. Her face was pale but with captivating eyes that seemed to tell a lot of stories yet at the same time, it looks like it hides a lot of secrets while her whole face was greatly accented by her auburn hair. 'This girl. Renesmee. She looks just like her..' he thought unconsciously. And as he realized what he just said, he facepalmed himself in his mind and thought, 'Oh, what am I thinking? No. No one could ever replace her. Get yourself together, Zeke. You made a promise.'
In an attempt to stop himself, he looked away from her and his eyes lingered on the pygmy puff that continued to stare at him. What was her question again? Oh right. "Sure, it was nothing. You can get Hair--erm, Puffles now and be on your way." He murmured barely loud enough to be heard. But he was sure she heard it. There was, after all, a few people in the room and Renesmee was just beside him.
Zeke hasn't even taken a bite yet out of the sandwich lying on the place in front of him. And altogether, his hunger just disappeared and his appetite was lost.

Alex entered the Great Hall looking about at everyone chatting away to their friends. Speaking of friends she missed Ronnie, can't find Rose and hasn't spoke to Logan in a while. 'Oh well' the third year thought as she sat down on a bench at the Gryffindor table.
She opened her book and rested it against a Goblet that wasn't getting used and made herself look busy as she got herself some soup.

Why was he scruitinizing her? Renesmee's eyebrow slowly shot up as her face showed that she was confused. This Gryffindor was looking at her, as though he was checking her out or trying to find something wrong with her. She bit her lip for a few seconds and then after that her lips formed their usual pout as she tried to ignore the way he was looking at her.
Wait? Puffles was here? O___O Ness looked over the older boy to see her baby safe and sound. Immediately her face turned into a big bright smile. Her Puff ball was alright! Thank Merlin! She didn't know what she'd do without her little fur ball. As silly as it may have sounded, Puffles had always been there for Nessie. Yes he may have not been able to talk or act like a normal human, but all those cuddles and warm hugs he gave helped Renesmee with almost anything and everything. He was like her spear teddy bear. He was just great!...sometimes.
Not really thinking about saying excuse me, or using any manners, the red head reached over the Gryffie and picked up her cute little pygmy puff. "PUFFLES!" she said maybe a little over excited. She then began to hug and shnuggle him. Her little sweetie was home again. Oops! Manners! Now she remembered them. "Umm..Sorry once again, and erm thanks for looking after him. I was worried sick." She was able to talk properly now, which must have been because Puffies was with her.
Be on her way? What? Noo! She wanted to stay, she wanted to get to know this hero properly. After all he had saved Puffles."Um..would you mind if I stayed?" she bit her lip. He'd be okay with that right. "Its just..um..you see, my best friend isn't here and I...I ergetlonely." Now her thoughts wondered of to Thomas and Zara too. She missed them both. If only Thomas didn't have to be at home and if only Zara was easier to find. No need to tell him she was talking about two people though. "Whats your name by the way?" She was rather curious.
Text Cut: Hahaha, Nessie and his ol' best friend Janine had the same hair. Though the paleness was what he remembered last seeing her when she was in the hospital.

'Hooray. You found your little Hairball. Now leave me alone, Huffy.' He thought sarcastically as his eyes were still focused on the table but he could hear the sweet sound of the reunion between the owner and, well, Hairball.
Stay? What? Was he hearing correctly? She wanted to stay? "Actually, no offense, but I would mind. I just wanna be alone." Zeke frankly said, it was no use being polite anymore. Besides, he's never spoken to anyone in Hogwarts more than twice. And there they were having their second encounter, meaning another set of conversations to keep up with. He instantly regretted saying those words, not because he wanted her to stay but because of what Renesmee said next. Her best friend wasn't there and she'd get lonely..
Zeke headsmacked himself in his mind. 'Dammit. I hate these situations.' Well, he was alone all the time. And he hates to admit it but he's pretty lonely too but Zeke fights against that feeling and insists he likes the isolation. That it gives him peace and quiet from all the chaos around. Deep inside though, he's lonely. This girl in front of him, Renesmee, she was lonely too. Does Zeke have the heart to keep her in that loneliness when he could potentially drive it away?
No, that totally wasn't his attitude. He'd never care for the feelings of others. Plus, he'd already told her to leave him alone. There's no taking that back now. All he could do was, erm, say sorry. "I'm sorry," he murmured fast, then got up. "It was nice meeting you Renesmee." With that, he walked away without looking at her face again. He couldn't take it if he saw her face full of regret, it'd just make him feel bad about what he'd just done to that polite gal. Nosiree, hurting others wasn't his thing either, but if he had to do it, he had to do it.
