Gryffindor House Table by Gideon Gert (Macavity) The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear. |
Arabella-Marie entered into the great hall and made her way over to her house table and sat down and poured some coffee into her goblet she was tired and needed to have something to keep her awake |
Well then...it was time to be back to school. Tiffany was so excited that she ran as fast as she could to be the first one to get to the great hall. It seemed like she had forgotten the pain she had right before as a boy stumbled her and made her fall. The hall was just like last year's. Bright and huge, warm and comfortable. There she went to the table for all the Gryffindors. She would not need to find anymore since this was the second year for her. Everything seemed to be more familiar and comforting. She quickly picked a seat and waited for her friends to come and join her. Although she was really hungry as she was scanning the food on the table, she kept her patience since it would be rude to eat first without waiting for others. |
Selina stepped into the Great Hall with a slight spring to her step. There was something about the candles overhead and the four distinct colors in the room that made her heart all warm. She could not even express how thrilled she was to be back at school. There was something magical about this school, which was extremely ironic and corny because it was a school for young witches and wizards. However, Selina did not care if she was being corny and crazy. She was back at school and no one was going to ruin her mood. No one. Not one single person. Well that wasn't true, a lot of people could dampen her mood but she was being optimistic right now. No need to be a Debbie downer. The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain took a seat at her table and nodded at all of the Gryffindors sitting there. She smiled at them all and waved. Yeah, this term was going to be epic. |
For anyone that wants to nab Tasia XD Well, given how interesting the train ride had turned out to be, Tasia was convinced the opening feast should be equally as interesting, if not more. She just hoped that Mo could keep a handle on his nerves throughout it. Maybe she'd swipe her plate from her table and go give him a visit wherever he turned out to be. But for now, she stood at the head of her table, eyeing the plates and empty seats. Gryffindor eh? Well, one thing was for certain, she hadn't been expecting that. Hopefully her cousin wouldn't give her a hard time for it. Shifting the wand holster on her upper, right arm, Tasia gave a wary eye to the seats before picking one about three-quarters from the far end of the table and taking a seat. Now...what sort of interesting people inhabited her house? There was someone smiling and waving; best not to be rude on a first day. Tasia gave the fellow Gryffindor a friendly smile and nod before glancing at the ceiling. They certainly didn't have that where she came from and she couldn't help but wonder what Mo would think of it. |
Rose skipped into the great hall, sitting down and looking around. She was hoping that the plates would be clean this year, that would suck. She wanted to eat on CLEAN plates. But she didn't mind. To the point where she'd get angry, anyway. She looked at all the ickle firsties, and beamed as Logan was put in Gryffindor. AWESOME! |
Arabella-Marie sipped her coffee and smiled she loved the start of term feast she saw a couple of her friends arrived but knew she would have time to catch up with them another time and she looked at all the new faces and hoped that she would make more friends this term |
After being sorted into GRYFFINDOR ( :woot: ) Logan made his way to the Gryffindor table, a happy look on his face. He was so happy! He sat down at the table and smiled. |
All of you < (everyone up to Logan) Having lingered outside the Great Hall ushering students and those eager to be sorted, Kurumi made her way inside and resisted the urge to fuss with her bangs as they came dangerously close, once again, to poking her in the eye. She made her way to the Gryffindor table where she smiled at her Quidditch Captain who was already present. "Hey Selina, holding down the fort already?," Kurumi winked as she continued towards the front of the table, a rather LARGE box in her hands once again. The box was large enough that Kurumi had to waddle her way through the hall, peering around its sides to be able to see everyone properly. "Arabella, nice to see you again. Hope you had a good summer," Kurumi waved at her fellow fifth year before turning her attention in the direction of a younger student. "Tiffinay, nice to see you as well. I hope you are ready for the term." The lions could certainly use some active student leaders in the second year class, and she was certainly one that Kurumi was expecting great things from. Large box still in her hands, Kurumi was just about to set it down when an older girl who Kurumi didn't recognize came to the table. Chewing on her bottom lip for just a small moment as she attempted to NOT stutter, Kurumi bowed in the girl's direction. "Hello, I'm Kurumi Hollingberry, I don't believe we have met yet." And if they had and Kurumi had forgotten, then she really terrible...or if they had been at the school ALL this time. That had happened last term with Gideon. Awkward. Kurumi then saw that Rose had made her way to the table, and Kurumi offered her a smile as well. "Rose, hello. Have a good summer?" she asked. "How are all those kittens doing, although...I imagine that they are not kittens anymore." Talking to Rose about having too many pets in the dorms was the first thing Kurumi had had to deal with as a prefect, so it was etched very firmly in her memory...and that wasn't exactly a good thing. And then one more student made their way to the table, and a newly sorted one at that. "Congratulations Gryffindor," Kurumi applauded, hoping that others would take part in the gesture as well. "My name is Kurumi Hollingberry, one of your prefects," she continued with a small bow and a cheerful smile. |
Arabella-Marie smiled at Kurumi and said "I had an alright summer thanks Kurumi just glad to be back at school now but i am not looking forward to sitting my owls" |

Text Cut: Sweet Kurumi :3 Tasia's admiration of the impressive and expansive ceiling was abruptly halted as names started to be passed down the table by a girl that didn't look too much younger than herself. Blinking, the sixth-year watched with interest, attempting to match faces and names together. By goodness there were a few of them, weren't there? And my did the girl ever have them memorized. Was she one of the whacha-mah-call-it's then that Tasia had briefly read about? Perfects....no, Prefects? Wait. What was this bowing? Blinking, Tasia glanced a little nervously at the others. She hadn't remembered reading about any bowing in Hogwartian customs, but then there were a lot of customs she couldn't really claim to know. Rising a little, she returned the bow as best as she could. Was there no hand shaking here? Oh wait, that's right, her hands were full. "Tasia...Mirakos." Her eyes flicked to the table before she started, shoving a few dishes to the side. "Here...that looks...heavy?" Or light. It was hard to tell what with the shape and composition of the box. |
Leaving his guitar with his trunk to be handled and brought upstairs to await him after the feast, Gideon made his way through the Entrance Hall and into the Great Hall. He was moving on his own but given the fact they were all headed the same way, it appeared as if he was meerly following the students in front of him. Nevertheless, as he took in the familiar surroundings, he couldn't help but smile. It was good to be back! And now he was officially a 5th Year, begining his 5th term at Hogwarts and exactly half-way between when he started school 3 years before and graduated three years later. Or at least he would be about January technically but he wasn't thinking so. Also there was no need to dwell on such strong thoughts when it was a feast and a time of celebration and by Merlin's beard thats what he would do...celebrate and have fun. And so he headed off to the Gryffindor table to find his friends and housemates. "Hey Selina...long time no see," Gideon greeted teasing his girlfriend. "And hello to you Kurumi...already unleased the welcoming I see," he added with a smile at his friend. |

Open to ALL GRYFFINDORS. Pop by, Have a Seat, Let out a Roar... we are friendly SPOILER!!: Kurumi and Gideon Selina smiled at Kurumi who finally wandered into the Great Hall. Took the prefect long enough. It seemed though that she had been held up by the hoard of cookies that Selina knew were in that box. Speaking of which Selina was starving. The whole idea of cookies sounded bloody wonderful at the present moment and obviously, by the size of the box, Kurumi had enough to go around. Sharing was caring after all. So when she commented on Selina's holding up the fort she nodded and said, "Yes, ma'am. And holding up the fort is a busy job. I'm famished..." Cookies, cookies, cookies, cookies, cookies! Just then she turned to her left and saw Gideon plop down beside her. She smiled at him and teased back, "Yeah its been ages. Where have you been all these years, Gid?" Then her eyes slowly drifted back to the box.... COOKIES! |

SPOILER!!: the girl with the spiffy name :D Kurumi felt her fingers slipping just a bit on the box and managed to readjust just in time to prevent it from crashing to the table. That would have been terrible! Most likely the box's cookie contents would have broken into small sugary bits and it would have looked like a complete massacre. Lion heads and paws everywhere among a sea of red frosting. What a horrible thought. Shivering just for a moment, Kurumi tried to get the image out of her head and was able to do so when the girl in front of her bowed back. The gesture brought a small smile to the prefect's face. "Lovely to meet you Tasia," she chirped. Oh good, they HADN'T met before. Seeing that a place had been cleared, Kurumi set the box down and immediately began shaking her arms to loosen the muscles. She really should have just charmed the box like she had down last term. She blamed this serious lack of judgement on being excited about the term It was now that Kurumi took a proper look at the tableware. Oh GOOD! Things were clean and as they should be. That meant that she didn't have to worry about the house elves this term and that the kitchens would be open. Yep...she had a really REALLY good feeling about this term. Quote:
Didn't mean that she could totally ignore Selina's eyes salivating all over the box. "Well, hopefully you will be getting something in your tummy soon," she teased. |
[QUOTE=Rupert-Grint-Fan;10848091]"Yeah of course! Go ahead." Logan said patting the spot next to him. "What house were you sorted into, Jen?" he asked. "Thanks" Jen said as she sat down. "And I was sorted into Slytherin." |
Text Cut: Kurumi again :3 Well, she was very glad to have actually been able to help. For a moment she eyed the girl's arms, watching as she stretched them out. So it was heavy but it wasn't heavy. Strange. Curious, Tasia leaned forward a little, eyeing the box as if she could see through it. The one that had brought it, Kurumi, said something about tummy-fillings but she had a hand on the top of the box, so Tasia couldn't well take a peak. And she didn't want to look strange by sniffing it. So she was left wondering as she sat back down, slowly. "No worries." Her attention was on the box for a moment more before she blinked up at the other girl. "You wouldn't happen to be a Prefect, would you?" That, or just an all-around friendly house-mate that remembered everyone's names and their kittens. That was a talk about kittens in France, wasn't it? |
Ah, the Great Hall! As much as Scarlett enjoyed going to Spain and visiting her extended family, she was glad to be back at school. |
