graphics by sweetpinkpixie The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

"Whoops! Sorry, I guess I was getting a little carried away," he laughed. "And of course I will go to the matches!" He grinned crookedly. "I might learn a little more. Maybe I'll make a poster! Or a lion hat that roars!" That would be cool. And was probably a little dorky, but he didn't know very many people, so he didn't have anything to be embarrassed about. "I share my great-great grandfather's birthday of March 10th actually." Ooops! Going into family details. Roman hated going there. Not that this girl would probably care right? "As for my favorite food...hmm...there's so many...but I would say...CREPES! I love crepes! And there's so many you can make...they can be sweet or they can be savory! Just delicious!" "Aww. That's fun." she said not sensing his awkwardness. "Yum. Crepes are super yummy. Do you like the dessert kind better?" Because Anya sure did. Dessert was her favorite!
"My birthday was last week. November 11th." she said. She was already 12! "And my favorite is definitely ice cream." With gummy bears!
She frowned for a second at his last question. "I have no idea. I haven't read my History of Magic book..." It was all old-timey and boring sounding. "But I do admire anyone that's made it on those chocolate card things."
