The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.
Eager to try transfiguring again, Tayla chose a couch at one corner of the Gryffindor common room. She took out her wand and the drawing she made at the Duck Pond, then lay her bag at the foot of the couch.
She traced the edges of the paper with her wand and concentrated on how she wanted the picture frame to look like. "Statua Habitum!"
The picture turned into a frame, but it still wasn't exactly like the drawing she had made. The frame was, just like before, white with blue streaks, but this time, 'Mother ♥ Daughter' was distinct at the top portion of the frame.
"I must be concentrating on those words well enough, but the design itself too litle..." Tayla thought to herself.
"Reverto!" she said, turning the frame back to the original drawing.
She suddenly sat up straight and hid her drawing upon hearing a familiar voice. "It might be...oh..." She relaxed, realizing it wasn't who she thought it was. "I think the common room's not the best place for this," she said to herself. Tayla wanted this frame to be a complete surprise to the friend she was planning to give it to. Taking her bag again, she left the common room and headed to the first place she thought of - the library.

Anya skipped into the common room. Well... as well as one could skip into a hole in the wall anyway. So far classes were going well and she'd made many friends.
She didn't even miss home too much.
She looked around for a seat... she should probably start some homework. She found an open one by the window. Without asking for permission, she snagged a seat next to a boy that looked her age.
And she was about to reach into her bag when the boy's book distracted her. "Is it any good?" she asked nodding toward his book. "I've only ever seen the film." Classics never really appealed to her. They seemed all... old timey.

"It's really good actually, I think it's the third time I've read it," Roman said without even looking up from his book. "D'Artagnan is my favorite...he certainly has a way with a sword, and the ladies, I guess." He chuckled. Wait a minute, did someone actually him a question? Or was this all in his head?
He was actually a little nervous to look around for the person from which the sweet voice came from. Roman slowly raised his head and took a peek from behind his book. "Um...hi!" Wow, there actually was a person talking to him and it was a girl! He hadn't really talked to a girl before, other than his family members. "Movie, huh? Which one? I think The Three Musketeers was made into about a dozen!" Okay, maybe not that much, but there were quiet a few and in various languages.
"You like to go to the movies?" Wow. He was actually keeping up a conversation. Well, it was on the topic of movies. It was probably one of his favorite muggle activities to do.

"It's not boring and really old?" Anya asked. It was just her luck to be a witch and sent to a really old school, wasn't it? Not that magic wasn't cool of course. She just wished it had electricity... and central heating.
The winter was going to be brutal, she would already tell.
She shrugged. "Some kind of American movie. I wasn't really paying attention. There's only so many sword movies before it all starts looking the same." Not to mention old proper English wasn't really her thing.
She nodded. "Yeah. And I watch them at home. What about you?"
He had to know something about movies if he asked, right?

"It has it's moments...I mean, once you get through some of the language, it's actually quite an exciting tale," Roman shut the book. It was rude to appear reading while having a conversation. "This book is just action-packed, kind of mysterious, and it even has a bit of romance." He figured that might strike her interest. Most girls liked that lovey-dovey stuff, but he liked to sword fights more than anything.
"Sword movies looking the same?" He scoffed. "It's evolved! I mean it's not that much different than when we're dueling with wands right?" Well, he figured it wasn't much of a change. Roman hadn't actually dueled much. Or done much magic with his wand for that matter. He was too nervous of hurting someone.
"Oh, I love movies! And the theater!" Roman loved live action as much as seeing it on the big screen. "I think the 1990s had some of the best films ever!"

Anya nodded as she listened. "Perhaps I ought to read it then." She did enjoy a good love story. And, by that she meant romantic comedy movies. She adored those. They were always just so cute.
She shrugged. "I suppose. I've never seen a duel with wands though. I'm a muggleborn." she replied. She hoped a dueling club or something would open soon. She'd love to watch a magic duel.
She giggled. "1990s?" she asked. "You really enjoy old things, don't you?" And he had a really good memory. She didn't know the release date of any movies.
"So Mr. Old Fashioned. What else do you enjoy?" she asked with a smile. She half-expected to hear something about lanterns and archery. Not that she was teasing. She did find it intriguing. She'd never met anyone that openly embraced such things.

"Oh, that's cool!" Roman hadn't ever met a muggleborn before. "I haven't seen a duel with wands either. It seems a little intense. I would much rather duel with swords...ooh! Or lightsabers!" Now that would be epic. "Something about having more contact seems traditional, I guess. It has a sense of honor to it." The whole wand things seems more distant, but certainly just as dangerous.
Roman chuckled as she giggled. "Yeah the 1990s! There's Forrest Gump, Titanic, Braveheart, Toy Story, Hamlet, Dumb and Dumber, The Lion King, Jurassic Park... I mean I could go on forever!" And he was only naming a few. He was sitting up more straight and could sense that his voice had gotten louder and louder as he named each one.
He smiled at the nickname. He'd have to add that to his list. It was a lot better than being called 'Sunshine' by his older brother. "Hmmm....what else?" Roman was doing the stereotypical chin scratch as he thought. "Well, I like to swim, shop for vintage clothes...um...eat!" He laughed at the last one. "What about you?" He was feeling rather rude just talking about himself.

"Do you think there will be a dueling club or something? I can't wait to see a real live duel." Anya said enthusiastically. She didn't want to see a REAL duel... like one to the death... she just wanted to see a duel.
That made sense, right?
She giggled a bit. "Alright. The Lion King I can understand." And even though Jurassic Park wasn't on her list of favorite movies, she did enjoy watching dinosaurs every once in awhile.
She rolled her eyes. "I have yet to met anyone that didn't enjoy eating. I, myself, love ice cream." It was her favorite. She never grew out of the 'kid' food.
"Me? Well... let's see... movies, games, water balloon fights, treehouses, and kites. I LOVE kites." That... about summed her up. That's pretty much what she spent all summer doing.
"Oh. And I suppose shopping." She might not have been super girly, but she couldn't deny that there was just a certain joy that came with shopping.

"Boy I hope so!" Roman returned the same enthusiasm. "I mean that's something we'll have to learn right?" He doubt they would be as intense as the ones he read about at school, but he wouldn't be surprised if there were some injuries. That idea made him nervous.
He smiled at her approval of 'The Lion King.' It was his favorite animated movie that was drawn before it went all computerized or whatever the muggles changed.
"Kites? That's pretty cool I guess on a windy day." Roman really didn't fly many kites in his life. He'd seen kids fly them in parks and stuff, but he never actually participated. "I hear they duel kites somewhere in Asia." Well, that certainly combined the two subjects. He had a crooked grin on his face.
"My sister hates shopping, which I find rather ironic!" He laughed again. "I just think it's fun. I'm a big fan of suits!" He would much rather wear suits than robes. His robes were so long in the sleeves that they kept catching on things. "So do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"I guess muggles are crazy then." he said chuckling.
"I don't know," Jezz said smiling. "Some of them may be crazy but there are some sane ones." She was thinking about the people who had written the books she held so close to her heart. "What magical powers does this Batman have?"

Anya nodded. "I think so. Maybe that's what the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is about." she suggested. It seemed like something they would learn in there.
"Oh. Kites are fun on ANY day. I did a lot of competitions with trick kites. I've also done some dueling competitions." she said with a nod. Asia wasn't the only place to do it.
She giggled. "Really? I didn't think a girl could hate it." she said laughing behind her hand. "Yeah. And older brother. He graduated from here last year. What about you?"

Roman shivered slightly at Defense Against the Dark Arts. "I kinda don't get the point behind that class. I mean, a hundred years ago, it was a big deal because of that Voldy guy! But, now, it's like seriously? Are there real threats out there?" He was probably not sounding very wizard-like. He liked the idea of more peaceful classes like potions and astronomy.
Wow, this chick was really into kites. "Wow, there's competitions with kite?" He had no idea. "I would really like to see that someday!" He certainly wasn't lying. Especially to see dueling kites.
"I have two older brothers and an older sister. They all graduated from Beauxbatons," Roman said. He was getting a little nervous about getting into family talk. "My oldest brother Ridley, is in the family business and is working with diamonds in France with my Uncle James. He's also engaged. It's kinda gross because they are always so goo goo eyes. Then my other brother, Radley, is in a band called the Cackling Crows. And my sister, Roselyn, has her own catering business." Well, that was a mouthful. And rather boring. Roman hated it when he sounded boring.

"Yeah. But better safe then sorry, right?" Anya would much rather suffer through a class then be unprepared later. Especially when it came to something so... life and death as the dark outs.
It creeped her out that some people used something as amazing as magic for not-so-amazing things.
She nodded. "Oh yeah. I've won a few trophies. My best friend and I go to loads of them." she said happily. She loved when anyone was interested in what she did. Or... pretended to be interested. She could never tell the difference. "Maybe we could show you sometime. He's actually here. Well... in the yellow house."
"Oh! That sounds like lots of fun. Is your family all magic then?" she asked. It sounded like it. "My dad and mum are muggles. Well... my adoptive ones. I don't actually know who my real ones are. And my older brother, well adoptive one, that I told you about, he plays quidditch." she said in a rush.
She then blinked. "I suppose I should introduce myself, huh? I'm Anya Phillips. And I'll just apologize now... but I don't think you're getting back to reading your book anytime soon."
Not while she was around at least. She loved talking.

"Well, my bad keeps encourage me to focus on that class," Roman frowned. "I think he wants me to go into the family biz like my brother, but I don't think it's me. Dealing with diamonds...it's just not my thing. And goblins kinda freak me out." He didn't know if the goblin comment would offend her. It was something about their long noses and fingers, that just seemed weird to him.
Wow, this chick was pretty impressive. Roman didn't win a trophy for anything. "I would definitely like to see it. Do you make your own kites or buy them?" He would love to learn how to make one. He liked making crafty things. "Oh, he's in the Huffly one? That's cool. I haven't really made a lot of friends since I've gotten here." He didn't really get out much.
"And yes, my family is all magical, we have a long line of magic." Roman shrugged. "They run one of the largest Diamond mining enterprises in France. Well, on my dad's side. My mum is an Event Coordinator for the Ministry of Magic. That's why we moved here." Roman felt like he sounded so boring.
"Your family sounds way more interesting! I mean, muggles! That's pretty sweet." Roman was always fascinated with a muggle lifestyle. Mainly because he practically live one for the first ten years of his life. "And quidditch! Wow, that's cool, I guess." His family was really into the sport, but eh. "I'm not really into flying. I mean my brothers and sister will sometimes make me play with them to make it even."
Oh wow! He completely forget to introduce himself, and there was kind of a reason behind it. Roman laughed at the fact he really wasn't going to get back to his book and he didn't mind a bit. "My name is Roman J. Lupin...but you can call me R.J."

"Goblins?" Anya repeated. "Those are the people in the banks, right?" They were people, right? That was a proper term. She didn't really want to call them its. That just seemed rude.
"So what do you want to do then? I really don't have any idea. I wanted to be a vet before... but, now that I know I'm a witch..." her voice trailed off. Maybe she could be a magical animal vet! She'd have to be careful around those crumpet things though. If a PUPPY one didn't like her, bigger words certainly would attack too.
"Both." she said with a nod. "The ones I fly in competitions I buy though." she was in no way talented or creative enough to make trick kites. She nodded once more. "Yup. And my other really good friend is in the house that has the snake." And she'd go into details of how she and Asher met... but she figured being friends with the little brother of your older brother's ex-girlfriend was kind of a weird story.
She smiled. "Well, if you're in London over the summer you're welcome to meet them. My parents love meeting my friends." And yes, Anya was willing to consider them friends even if they were just meeting. She was nice and social like that. "That's still a step ahead of me. I'd never been on a broom before Hogwarts." Her brother didn't like sharing his brooms. In fact, he seemed against her flying in general.
"R.J." she said with a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Although, she wasn't exactly sure why he was being so quiet about his last name. Was it something she should have known?

Alex had happily being staring at the work 'History' in the book when she couldn't see it... bummer she had made about 5words out of it and had been in the process of the 6th. "Hmmm wait a second." she reached behind her and ruffled their hair. "It's Logan isn't it." Alex said as she poked the first year's shoulder.
This girl was just as unsure of goblins as he was. "I think they're like a cross between a house elf and a troll?" Roman wasn't quite sure what he was saying, but he knew they weren't the friendliest of species.
"I'm sure you could still be a vet... there's unicorns and kneazles and stuff I'm sure would need healers right?" Or did magical creatures need help because they were magical? He didn't see why they wouldn't need the attention just like people would. "As for me... I really don't know. I like helping people...so maybe something like that." That answer seemed a little wide open, but he didn't really think much about it. He just liked being a kid for now.
Wow, Anya seemed really popular she had all sorts of friends. "You sure do know a lot of people. Lucky." Roman just didn't really know how to make the first step in meeting people. Maybe that was his problem.
"Well, I'll definitely be in London," he smiled at the invite. "Well...unless we go back to France for the summer, but I guess London is my new home now." That certainly was a weird thing to say. Up until a few months ago, he never imagined living anywhere other than there. "Ick! Brooms! They are so scary, unless you're sweeping with them of course." He chuckled. "I'm perfectly happy with my feet on the ground."
"I guess I've just made my first real friend at school." He smiled. He'd have to write his sister about this. She would be very happy that he was actually socializing.

Anya shrugged. "I don't really know much about either of those. Although... I have seen a house elf." Her brother had one. That was the proper terminology, right?
She nodded. "We'll see. I'll have to learn all sorts of things about all these new animals." Well... new to her at least. But admittedly, that would be the COOLEST job ever. Or maybe she could specialize in a certain animal? She smiled. "Well I'm sure there's lots of jobs out there that you can have to help people." Sheeee.... just didn't know of any. But she was sure they were out there.
She giggled a little. "I guess I just like making friends." She never really realized that that meant that she had a lot of friends. She never really kept count. She just liked people.
"I think you should stay in London." she said with a smile. "There's lots of fun things to do here." Well... there... since they weren't exactly in London at the moment. She nodded. "Yeah... we'll see how I do playing quidditch. So far I haven't had to fly very high." And she was extremely nervous about flying high and fast and playing a sport at the same time. Hopefully they'd be having lots of practices.
She beamed. "In that case... I'm a lucky girl." she said happily. She loved being someone's friend. And being someone's first friend was even cooler!

I'll Spend Forever Wondering If You Knew__________________________________ _____________________________________________I Was Enchanted To Meet You
It was October, one of Jordans favorite time of the year, other than Spring for moderate weather. He could remember the days of racking leaves from trees that lost their leaves, that day seemed like yesterday.
Ryan was fully bored of classes so he headed into the Common Room and sat next to a boy he saw last year.''Mind if I sit here.''He asked pointing to the comfy lounge beside him.
Shel's owner<3 / SSRPG wanderer // Nat luffs you ^^/ Half Slyther half dor =))
She eagerly entered the common room and went to take a seat over the empty comfy couches on the lion’s den to rest for a while. After a few minutes, she rushed up the girl’s dormitory and came back along with her wallet. She forgot to bring it with her today. She should have done with the homework by now. But, it would be really easy this time since she now managed to get the thing right. She opened her wallet first to search for pictures and laid her choices on her lap. She picked her brother’s picture with his best friend, Rosie; then one of her close friend Vivianne and a photo of her last summer. So she’d be making three frames all in all then to send out.
Just like last night, she sat on the floor and pulled out this time some of her special parchments which are even scented. She laid it on the floor and pulled out her wand from her robes’ pocket. She was afraid the photo might be ruined so she placed another parchment on top of it for practice. Atleast she could revert it back and not damaging the photograph. “Stat-UA HAB-itum,” And she traced just a square frame on the parchment for trial, with no designs. The paper was covered in glass, it went fine so she casted “Reverto,” again. She now changed the paper into the photograph and envisioned again the exact same frame that she was able to make at the courtyard and whispered the word for practice. “Stat-UA HAB-itum.” She placed her brother’s picture with his bestfriend at the middle of the parchment.
Once she knew she was ready, “Stat-UA HAB-itum,” and her hand holding her wand traced the rectangular shape of the frame. Tenn didn’t make the edges sharp but curved them instead for that’s how the frame looked like. Then with all her might, she focused on the designs of the frame border and there it came emerging a cartoons picture frame of about 4 centimeters thick and is made of glass and the picture was now inside it covered in transparent glass.
She was done. She finally made it. She put down her wand and stared at the frame for a moment. “Xander would really love this one,” she said. The picture was even really nice to stare on. She placed it on her side. “I’d have to make another one for Vivianne.”
She pulled out again another special scented parchment from her bag. She picked Vivianne’s photo and laid it on the center of the parchment which was now laid on the floor. This time she wanted to have classic frame. Golden brown in color and with not much details but really classy. She pulled up her robe on her wand hand for it was slipping.
“Stat-UA HAB-itum,” Tennessee began tracing again on the paper the frame she wanted. This time the shape is not rectangular but irregular and still not that sharp curves. The parchment began to pop into a 5 centimeter golden brown frame and soon enough, Vivianne’s photo was encased inside.
She left for a moment and run back the dormitory to grab some gift wrappers at her trunk. She neatly wrapped each frame. “Now, I’ll send you at the owlery,” she said as she picked both of the frames and tucked them safely and carefully inside her bag. She again went out of the common room and headed to the owlery.
"Really? I just haven't been here much, but I really like the Knight Bus so far." That probably sounded lame. Roman was sure there were tons of things that were way cooler than that, but he really didn't get out much. "Oh so you're on the team?!" Wow, he was now friends with a real life Quidditch player. "That's pretty sweet. I've seen some matches and they can get pretty intense!" He heard some players even died, but he didn't want to say anything.
"I'm really the lucky one!" He laughed. Wow, a friend. Now what?
