The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.
Jezz laughed, "I do the exact same thing." She liked going over the top.
"Yeah, well I use it as my me time." Jezz didn't really want her parents there. "It was something me and my grandfather would do together before he passed away." She really did miss him. Being here at the school made her miss him a little more. She listened to the girl wheeze just a little more, "Are you sure you're okay?"
Kacie was really happy that she now had a friend. "I believe we're going to get along great," she replied, happily. There was so many places she wanted to explore around the castle and it would make it ten times better if she had someone with her. "Have you explored the castle a lot?"
"Awww... I'm sorry," she said, sad that she had lost someone close to her. She could only imagine what she was feeling now because she had never lost anyone close to her. "I bet you miss him a lot. I don't know what I'd do if I lost someone."
She cleared her throat hoping that it would stop the wheezing some. "Yeah, I'm sure. I think I played way to much today," Kacie replied, smiling to reasure her friend that she was indeed alright. "Hey, you wanna meet my brother. He's a fifth year and I know he'll be happy that I have a friend now so I don't bug him."

Kurumi's own words revealed that which meant she had likely already gotten the fiery red-head's outbursts not to mention the persuasive attempts already mention. Kacie looked around the common room for her brother. She bet he would be happy that she found a friend. When she spotted him she called out his name. "GIDDY!!!" she called a bit to loud, to get his attention. "Guess what?" Calling out that loud certainly didn't her wheezing.
Kacie was really happy that she now had a friend. "I believe we're going to get along great," she replied, happily. There was so many places she wanted to explore around the castle and it would make it ten times better if she had someone with her. "Have you explored the castle a lot?"

"Sure I'd like to meet your brother," Jezzabelle said smiling. Another person to add on to the list of names to remember. Speaking of names. "So I'm giving you a nickname. I'm going to call you Kacie Kat. Sounds kinda like Kitty Kat." And it was very fitting considering the house they were both in.

Plus, as I've mentioned, there are too many books in my life to settle down just yet," he teased, setting his book to the side.

No joke. So, how are you?" Adam asked as he took the seat. The plush couch felt so comfortable on his back, as if he were sitting on one of heaven's clouds.
Nessie smiled at Max and waved. "I'm sorry about that. I snuck off to study for a bit. The feast was great. The food was AMAZING as usual." She said with enthusiasm. She laughed and remember the circumstances in which they met. Her sitting at the table. Stuffing her face. She shook her head with a smile on her face. "How are you so far?" She asked.
Maxwell laughed. "That's all right, we have all year to hang out! Things have been strange so far this year. It's odd i feel like i can open up to you, i don't really do that." Maxwell said thinking of the only other person he opened up to: Josie. Snapping out of it he said "How have things been for you?"

Laughing, Christopher jokingly placed a hand over his heart. "Thank you so much, mate. You're doing me a huge favour! I'll have to make you my best man," he teased. It felt awesome to have a guy best friend to just joke around with. Whenever he hung out with Selina or Elektra, things seemed to always be swept up in some sort of disaster. Laughing with his mates in the common room made him feel like a regular guy, which was all he wanted.
With a shrug, he glanced down back at his book. "Tempting offer.. but I think I may just have to pass. I mean, can't I have both?" he said with a smirk. He could return to real life in between chapters or something. Maybe he'd work out a schedule to fit in the two. "Nah, but seriously, I'm great, actually. It's been a good start to what hopefully will be a good year. Even if I will spend most of the time stressing over OWLs," he said with a chuckle. But even though there had already been some drama, and he hadn't quite fixed things with Violet, the year had been pretty good. Better than most. "What about you? How're the honors of being a prefect?" he asked, nodding towards the shiny badge pinned to his friend's robes.

It seemed Ariella had caught onto the need for a topic change, the girl asking the prefect about her summer much like she had asked him previously. However Gideon didn't have much time to dwell on that fact as Kacie's voice rang out across the common room. He bit his lip to fight a groan at the use of his nickname seeing as it was clear since the start of term that his sister didn't care of his discomfort of it in public.
"What Kac?" he questioned with a sigh, turning away from Ariella and Kurumi at the moment to look in the direction her voice came from. The older boy spotting her with another young girl.

He wasn't exactly planning on slacking off.

Adam had never seen someone he absolutely enjoyed reading as much as Chris. He even seemed happy to read something that wasn't of his choice, a school book. As far as Adam could tell several students didn't particularly like reading school books, in fact they dreaded the thought. "I think you have the symptom called readoritis. The condition in which reading has become a constant part of your life that you even enjoy school work reading. Don't worry, together we can get through this." Adam said in a serious, caring tone as he grabbed both of Chris' shoulders in an reassuring manner.
"I'll believe it when I see it too." He agreed laughing. Praise. Probably the only person praising him at the moment was Professor Bently. His friends that knew of this were either confused, not happy, or downright laughing at him. "Praise? You're the first one praising me, really. Everyone else just seems confused,mad or laughing at the prospect. Which only makes me think that this is all a big mistake. That they must've gotten my last name mixed up with another Adam." But when he heard himself say his own name he realized something. "ADAM!" He screamed in Chris' face. Adam Fitzgerald. They probably had mixed up the names, there was no other way this was right. "There's another Adam. Actually we're friends an he's a sixth year also..It must be him."

"Well I don't know the technical name for it but it hasn't bloomed yet and the bud is in the shape of a heart," Jezz said. "But Professor Bentley told me that it was fine because it'll bloom when it's ready."
"I'm glad you like your nickname." Jezz smiled at the older boy and waved, "Hi." she laughed, "Well then maybe he wouldn't be so grumpy if you didn't call him Giddy."

Kurumi giggled. "Perfectly fine," she nodded. "I sometimes slip Japanese into conversation without realizing it." That, and she still had a hint of an accent, especially when L and R sounds were included.

Damn it, her mother wanted her to send an owl as well, and knowing her if she didn't send one she'd get a howler next morning at breakfast.
Maxwell smiled, he knew jordan was trying to be a good friend but who would know what to say to that. "It's alright i don't even know what to do, i wouldn't expect anyone else to, but thank you for trying."
"No problem," Jordan grinned. "I'm your friend, its what I'm here for!" he said.

Nessie shrugged. "It's school. The classes this year are a bit technical for my liking. Alot of dates in HoM. I'm terrible at dates." She said shaking her head. She HATED dates she could never remember them and when she was tested on them . . . well lets just say that the grade was never pretty.
Adam had never seen someone he absolutely enjoyed reading as much as Chris. He even seemed happy to read something that wasn't of his choice, a school book. As far as Adam could tell several students didn't particularly like reading school books, in fact they dreaded the thought. "I think you have the symptom called readoritis. The condition in which reading has become a constant part of your life that you even enjoy school work reading. Don't worry, together we can get through this." Adam said in a serious, caring tone as he grabbed both of Chris' shoulders in an reassuring manner.
"I'll believe it when I see it too." He agreed laughing. Praise. Probably the only person praising him at the moment was Professor Bently. His friends that knew of this were either confused, not happy, or downright laughing at him. "Praise? You're the first one praising me, really. Everyone else just seems confused,mad or laughing at the prospect. Which only makes me think that this is all a big mistake. That they must've gotten my last name mixed up with another Adam." But when he heard himself say his own name he realized something. "ADAM!" He screamed in Chris' face. Adam Fitzgerald. They probably had mixed up the names, there was no other way this was right. "There's another Adam. Actually we're friends an he's a sixth year also..It must be him."
Laughing as he freed himself from Adam's grip, he grabbed his book and hugged it close. "Well.. the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...." And a reading problem he did have. No one could deny that. He'd thought this to be quite normally, as he'd seen tons of kids reading all over the school all the time, but perhaps not as frequently as himself. At least it wasn't usual to the prefect before him. "Oh, and if I have readoritis, you must have a deadly disease called makefunofChristopheritis. It's quite common among Gryffindors, really," he joked.
The joking faded away however, when Adam mentioned that no one had actually congratulated him yet. "Wait... you're serious?" What kind of friends blatently refused to congratulate their friend at the least for becoming a prefect!? It was kind of a big deal, and Adam deserved to be excited about it. "I'm really sorry about that mate... It seems you've got too many people jealous of your authority. Or perhaps they're just bummed that they can't tease you anymore," he said, the grin and joking tone begining to return.
However, when Adam began yelling about some crazy conclusion that he was the wrong guy Christopher chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Oh come on mate, that's mad! You really believe that the headmaster would make a mistake like that? And hey! You're the best person I know for the job; there's no way you got that badge by accident," he said, giving his friend a reassuring smile. He decided that'd he'd try to be a good friend to Adam, even when his other friends couldn't be.

He could read forever and be perfectly content. "Getting support with others who suffer from readoritis must be so relieving." With a chuckle, he added on about Adam's new found disease. "It's pretty common, you could've caught from anyone!" he exclaimed, gesturing to the room full of busy people. "Hopefully you'll survive this. If not, you can spend your remaining days with me in Readoritis Annonymus."
"Hmm.." he frowned, not sure why anyone's friends would do that. Even if they were surprised, they could at least pretend not to be! Couldn't people just be happy for their friends anymore, or did they always have to go and make it be about themselves? Trying to come up with alternative to cheer up his friend, Christopher suggested, "Perhaps they didn't expect someone so fun to be a prefect. You're certainly not the prat the prefects are usually made out to be."
However, no matter what he was saying, Adam still looked a little bit lost. Like he couldn't understand why this would happen to him. And that's when the fifth year realized something a bit important. Like the identity of the female prefect Adam would be spending a good amount of time with. "This... this isn't about her... is it?" Hopefully it wasn't too sensitive of a topic, but if Adam wanted to get something off of his chest, Christopher was there to listen. Especially since he'd been the one entrusted to rid of the love potion originally meant for her when they'd met at Diagon Alley. Hopefully he could be trusted again.

Prats? As far as Adam could remember all the prefects he knew, or head boys or head girls, never turned out to be prats. Salandar was great. Treyen is great. Kurumi is perfect. No one was prats in the prefect group. "Thanks about that. That means a lot to me."
"No. Not really. It's more about what I've gotten in terms of personal problems that makes me think I am not worthy of this. I haven't done anything bad concerning the school, minus having one detention. But I think my personality over the past few years doesn't exactly showcase what a prefect is considered to be." People were doubting his ability so much, now he was doing it himself. Though, maybe having to spend so much time with the two people he loved before, an now having to spend so much time with them now, well, the time would be spent in a different way, he expected. "Though, having to spend time with Selina an Kurumi will be difficult considering our friendships are fragmented."
