graphics by sweetpinkpixie The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

Nessie walked into the common room with a bubbly smile on her face. Awefully uncharacteristic of her. She never was this bubbly nor could she stand to be near someone that bubbly. What had changed? She couldn't pin point it. She went and sat at the couch in front of the fireplace. She thought that it must be a fire hazard of some kind. She smiled thinking that she hadn't gone insane after all. She sat back in the very comfy chair and sighed.

Kacie skipped into the common room with a smile on her face. She was so happy to be at Hogwarts, but she did miss her parents a lot. There was so much she wanted to tell her mom and dad, but she way to active to actually sit down and write them a letter. However, despite how much fun she was having and the classes she still haven't made a friend she could hang out with yet.
She walked over to a vacant seat to get comfortable and relax. A little bit worn out which wasn't normal for her. She was always full of some energy, but not so much with her breathing becoming all wheezy and it didn't really cross her mind why it was getting that way.

Jezzabelle walked into the common room and picked up a copy of the Gryffindor Gazette for about the hundredth time. She couldn't stop herself whenever she was near it. She had a copy stashed in her trunk so she could take it home to her parents and let them ooh and ahh at it...or at least she hoped they would. She sat down on a chair and placed the gazette down and took a moment to ponder things.

Kurumi's own words revealed that which meant she had likely already gotten the fiery red-head's outbursts not to mention the persuasive attempts already mention. Hearing the sigh and watching his friend answer himself as well as the younger lion, there definantly was a bit of discomfort there. "Aye...classes are certainly more important," he echoed agreeing with Ariella and discretly giving Kurumi a nod to show he understood her real reason.
"Especially with OWLs coming up. That shall be interesting," he mused furthering the topic to try and bring things away from quidditch. The boy making mental note to perhaps speak with Selina on his yearmate's behave knowing the topic between the two best friends had to be horrible.

Almost an urge to change the subject. "So did you have a good summer, Kurumi?" she asked. For Merlin's sake. Why in the world did she ask that question? Now, after answering, Kurumi would ask Ariella how her summer was. And then the conversation would go downhill from there because of Ariella's out-of-whack family.
She wasn't an actress. But she needed to be. The last thing she wanted was for everybody to find out about her sister.

She had heard the girl wheezing but hadn't really thought anything of it until now. "Are you okay?"

"Great because when I get to excited I'm unable to sit still and I scream and over do things a bit," she replied, just so Jezz knew just what to expect. She wondered if Jezz got like that to when she was excited because if she did they would probably make the perfect duo.
"Well they don't know what their missing cuz gardens are pretty and awesome," She was starting to feel a little bad for her friend that her parents was like that. Kacie nodded when Jezz asked if she was okay. It still haven't occurred to her that her asthma would be messing up now, when she never had to much of a problem with it at home. She was having way to much fun being in school to worry about it. "I'm fine, just a little cough," she wheezed, trying to take in a deeper breath, her cheeks a bit rosy.

Christopher sat on the couch, curled up with a book. He was glad to be back at school, back to his friends, his house, his books. However, there was one thing that had bothered him a bit. Ever since Adam had become a prefect, his presence was quite rare- he was hardly ever seen anymore. At least it seemed that way to the fifth year. He'd been wandering around the school, hoping to catch him once so he could see his awkward best friend- but alas! The sixteen year old was nowhere to be found. So he eventually gave up.
After he returned to the common room, he settled down on the couch and picked up his book. He'd spent a long time looking for his best friend, and now it was reading time- finding Adam could wait. For now.
