The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

At least she had no plans of trying out right now, studies and prefecting were sort of more important to Kurumi and, well, the kitchens were open and she had an entire year of missed baking to make up for.
This news may or may not have come as a shock to Gideon, seeing as Selina was the only person Kurumi had told about her hanging up her Seeker's uniform, but better late than never, yeah? He would have figured things out come tryouts anyway.

And then another girl joined their conversation and asked about New Zealand. Was the name Kiora a very New Zealand sounding name? Kurumi wasn't familiar with the country at all to know, but many people had guessed her Japanese heritage based on her name and her obviously Asian features.

As well? New Zealand was a small country, Quentin didn't think anyone else would be from there.
She nodded along to Prue's explanation, that proved it- she was a kiwi as well, "What part of New Zealand are you from?" maybe they were from around the same part, it was a small place and for all she knew they could have met before but not remember. Probably not though, it may have been small compared to others but it was still quiet large to those who knew nothing else.
"I guess I still haven't broken the habit of occasionally speaking in moari." she smiled at Kurumi, "Quentin Kingsbury, I just moved from New Zealand."

Quentin was from New Zealand, she was right about that! "I'm from Dunedin, in the South Island, you?" she said. "Don't worry, I used to do it a lot but got out of the habit when I'm back in England. Abby and I haven't moved away from New Zealand yet but we live with our Uncle here in England for a week before and after the years over before we head back"

"Angels trumpet," Matthew said, wearily to the fat lady. "Nice to see you, by the way," he added, grinning, as the portrait swung open for him to go through.
The second-year went straight to one of the armchairs. Most were full, but he spotted one that wasn't. His rat, Romeo, wriggled out of his pocket, sat on Matt's lap, and fell asleep straight away. He smiled at the snoring rat, remembering when he'd purchased Romeo, and the rat had curled up in his hand and fallen asleep. He was a very lazy rat, it seemed.

"Sure," Matt nodded. "Ryan, right? One of Lilly's friends?" he checked, looking at the crowds of first-years all over the room. Millions of them. Getting smaller every time he looked. "Good to be back, isn't it?" the second-year. Oh, yeah, he hadn't introduced himself. "I'm Matthew," he said.

"Angel's Trumpet!" Maxwell said with excitement to see his Common Room again. He walked in and took a seat on the floor near the fire and started reading one of his Animagus study books, He normally had one on hand He opened the page that He kept bookmarked with a blue rose He received from Josie last year. Maybe I should move on. He thought I'm not saying i want to go out and meet someone now, I'm not even sure i really like girls that much. i mean they're great friends, but they're not all Josie. Maxwell was determined to make this year even better than last with or without her.
Jordan strolled into the Gryffie Common Room, it was good to be home! He looked around, searching for a familiar face before noticing Maxwell sat by the fire. "Hows the research going then?" he asked, sitting down opposite him. Jordan was also interested in becoming an animagus, but he hadn't put too much research into it yet.

Ariella breathed a silent sigh of relief, glad that her voice hadn't shown anything that was brewing inside her. "He helps with dragons? How cool!"
Gideon tilted his head ever so slightly picking up her sense of relief. What it was for, he couldn't tell so he let it be, returning to the current topic of conversation. "Aye...he works on a dragon reserve," he informed the girl, a job fitting his elder 'brother' to a t. Andy had been fascinated by the large majestic creatures as long as he could remember.

"Aye I am," he answered, looking to Ariella as she spoke up during his chat with Kurumi. Gideon nodded in agreement to her statement about the quiditch cup. "I figured I survived last term, I might as well try again...eh?" When Kurumi added her two cents Gideon couldn't help but look back at the prefect a bit taken back.
"Ye aren't?"
Did Selina know?...Had she blown a gask--Nah she had to know. Those two were tight.

"You aren't?" Ariella said in disbelief. She had suspected that Kurumi would have played Quidditch her whole Hogwarts career. "But you're amazing! We're going to miss you out there on the pitch." She shuffled her weight from foot-to-foot, not sure of what she should do or say next. Yes, there she was. Ariella...the Queen of Awkward Conversations. "But schoolwork is definitely more important," she added quickly. Where did that come from?! She didn't know what Kurumi's reasoning for not trying out this term was. It might not be schoolwork. Well, it could be, but it might not. Why did she always seem to make a fool of herself?

Tanya walked into the gryffindor common room, looking arund at the red emblazened everywhere. She sat down on a red armchair, finding a comfortable position where she could hang out and watch everything going on with the older kids. Fluffling her brunette hair, she wondered if anyone would care if she just laid down on this chair and people watched.

Maxwell frowned slightly. "No, I haven't. I'm not sure what's going on with her and Joseph. Ariana knows it's odd too. I can tell she's been acting stranger than normal lately." Maxwell looked down at the rose in the book. "I'm thinking about just moving on, But i'd feel horrible if she came back or her being gone wasn't her fault. At the same time i don't think it's healthy to wait forever, as much as i want to." Maxwell said

Logan found a comfy chair in the Gryffindor common room and took out his Quidditch magazine. He heard a familiar meow of a kitten and looked down to see Peeta, his pet kitten. He smiled and patted his lap and watched as Peeta hopped up on his lap and curled up. Then Logan continued reading.

"So..." never being a social butterfly Quentin was running out of things to say, "Are you trying out for Quidditch?" You could never go wrong with Quidditch, she had been playing since she started school back in New Zealand. On her old team she was a Chaser but played Seeker if she needed to. Quentin really wanted to be on the team, but she wouldn't complain if someone better got on instead- she could always fly in her spare time.
Selina wanted to get as far away from the girls bathroom as possible. She knew she probably looked a little crazy but it was not her fault. Elektra had gone crazy in the bathroom and backhanded Selina so hard she swore she saw stars. Not only had the taller girl hit Selina but the sheer force of the blow had caused Selina's cheek to now bruise and at the time a little bit of blood trickled from her mouth. She fled as soon as she was hit and headed straight for the Common Room. No doubt her cheek was black and blue now.
As soon as she gave the fat lady the password Selina passed the group of students assembled and headed toward the dorms.
