The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.

This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.

Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.

A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.

If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.

For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

Logan walked through the portrait, and into the common room, feeling more cheerful than normal. Whenever he returned to the common room, he was tired and sleepy and never wanted to talk to anyone. He always wanted to just go to bed and SLEEEEEP.

But today, was a different day!

He felt cheerful. Maybe it was being around Ella most of the day. Yeah, that was probably it. He smiled and took the guitar pic out of his pocket to look at it again. He was glad she had given it to him. He put it back in his pocket carefully, and walked to a cozy seat by the fire. He sat down in it, and let himself sink back into it. Now this was cozy. He could sit here all night.....he let his eyes slowly close...
Forget the no sleeping thing! He was randomly tired!

"Not too different from owls I see," Tayla replied. She remained silent for a while as she pet Marigold who perched on the couch.

"No, just bigger and more foul smelling." Maxwell said with a laugh. "You should see him when he gets toward the end of his cycle, he smells like a giant burnt chicken... kinda looks like one too!" Maxwell said with a hard laugh and at this and the laugh Helios made a loud squawking noise as if to mock Maxwell.

Gideon was glad to finally have some free time between classes. It had seemed lately that everything was piling up and there was very little chance to relax. Not that he would be relaxing seeing as he was still concerned about Selina since the game and since she still appeared to be out of it with her occasional absences. He sighed, giving the fat lady's portrait the passwords and stepped inside the common room once he had been allowed to enter.

Looking around to see who and what was going on, he spotted an empty couch in front of the fireplace. A rarity at times, Gideon crossed the room and sat down upon it. The fifth year setting his bag down on the floor at his feet before leaning back against the back of the couch with his arm over his forehead.

Selina walked into the Common Room with her head hung low. She was exhausted and quite sad about the whole incident at the Quidditch match. She knew deep down that there was a chance the game could have changed if she were there, but she had messed up. She should have been there for her team and she wasn't. It was partially her fault and she was distraught over the prospect.

Not only that, but she was exhausted from her visions. They had been acting up as of late and Kurumi was so withdrawn from whatever it was that was troubling her that she could not bother her with it. And Gideon, well she was too ashamed of missing the match to face him. She was afraid he would be upset with her and he wouldn't be wrong.

Sure enough it was a redhead...and not just any redhead but his redhead girlfriend who he had been worried about.

"Hey..." Gideon said in greeting as he lowered his arm back to his side before straightening up, debating his actions and finally getting up gradually to his feet. "There ye are," the boy added turning so he was facing Selina over the back of the couch. "I had been wondering where ye was."

Logan looked around as he sat in his chair, quite bored. He sighed and dug in his back for his comics. He finally pulled one out; Captain America. He flipped it open, and began reading. Suddenly, his kitten, Peeta walked into the room and hopped up onto his lap and curled up. Logan smiled, and began petting Peeta while reading.

Selina dragged her feet through the portrait hole. She was exhausted to say the least, but that was how she had been as of late. It seemed that having no visions for the entire year had finally caught up with her. Selina had thought, foolishly, that if she suppressed her visions with her new knowledge of her ability they would not crop up. However, it seemed that she was wrong. Her ability was part of her and by subduing it, she had let her team down and they had lost the game. Selina was so upset by the whole ordeal that she felt sick to her stomach. It was that and that her visions were acting up. Everytime she had another she felt progressively more and more light headed and sick. It seemed to always kick the life right out of her.

Just as she dragged herself up to her room she heard a voice call after her over by the center of the Common Room, on the couch. She knew who it was without even looking at the face, Gideon. Oh Merlin, she was not ready to see him now. She knew that he was probably so put out with her for letting the team down. It was times like this she detested her ability, more than anything.

When he said that he thought not Selina nodded her head and turned to look in the direction of the dorms. Perhaps, since it seemed that she was in the clear, she could just excuse herself for a bit and then head on up to her dorms. Sleep off whatever funk she had been in since her never ending onslaught lately of visions. Just as she was about to excuse herself from the Common Room, she turned around and faced Gideon. He paused and then said that he was worried about her. Maybe it was her tiredness acting up or maybe it was just because she had missed him, but she let out a very heavy sigh. Without even hesitating she said, "I'm so sorry. For everything. I should have been at the game, I ruined everything. You must be so mad at me... I wouldn't blame you if you were. I just- I don't even know what to say."

She took a few steps toward Gideon, cautiously of course not knowing if he was still angry with her or not, and then continued on, "I am sorry... truly." She was sorry for a lot of things. She was sorry for her cursed ability, for missing the game, for letting her team down, for being a bad girlfriend to him, for everything. She was truly sorry.

Lilly sighed, curled up in an armchair, strokinh Smartie who was asleep on her lap. Why did life suck, she wondered. She'd had an owl from Thomas earlier and she was meant to meet him in the common room, but she really didn't feel like it at that moment in time. Lilly tied back her long hair, looking up. She was a bit early, so she couldn't expect him to come right that minute. The Lioness hadn't seen Thomas for ages and wondered where he'd been and what he'd been doing. She hadn't seen him since her first night in the common room on her first day, in fact. The blonde had a lot of questions.

Thomas walked into the common room. He was early but Lilly probably was too he thought. He saw Lilly curled up on a armchair. "How ya doing Lilly!" He called grabbing a seat.

"Thomas!" she saw him and smiled. "I've been...fine," Lilly lied. "What about you?" she asked, her face shining in delight. "Where have you been?" The blonde fiddled with the hairclip holding back her hair, not sure of what else to say.

Thomas noticed the pause but decided not to press it. "I've been doing classes, studying, you know the usual stuff! Anything happened to you?"

"My mum's died and my dad can't look after us anymore so we're living with Ronnie's older brother, Rupert," Lilly said, sighing again. She did that a lot sice recently. But no, he would simply continue to worry about her and wonder what she was up to in her room. And neither Kurumi nor Kacie was around to keep an eye on her for him. Uggg the downfall of the enchantments keeping the two genders apart...not like he'd try anything funny.

And then she turned back and faced him and the 5th year quickly flicked his eyes back to her face to pretend he hadn't been watching her gaze longingly at the tower escape. "Its alright," Gideon said, trying to wave off her words. "Ye didn't ruin anything and ye had yer reasons...valid reasons for not being there."

Mad at her?!

As she took a few cautious steps towards him, he moved closer, closing the short distance between them. "Its alright Selina," he repeated, " And no real reason for ye to be sorry." Did she really think he was THAT upset with her for missing the game or being allusive or any other reason?

Tayla laughed as well. "I think Helios is getting irritated," she said, amused by the beautiful phoenix. "I hope you tell me when Helios will be coming out from the ashes again. That's something I definitely want to see."

In want of attention, Marigold nipped Tayla's little finger. Tayla smiled at her tawny owl and pet her fondly.

Selina watched Gideon as he started to reply to her. Out of nervous habit she fiddled with her fingers. She kept her eyes focused on the task at hand with her fingers as he spoke to her. There was not really any part of her that wanted to look at him. He knew why she could not make the game. He knew that she had the handicap of her ability and she hated it. The one thing she did not want Gideon to do was to think less of her. She knew that he did not lol at her ability as a bad thing, quite the opposite; she did not want him to think less of her in the way that she was controlled by her ability and could not escape its clutches when it took over. She did not want him to think her weak. After all she was not sure if he knew or not why she had not been at the game. Kurumi had found her, who saw her when she saw down under she could not be sure. But perhaps Gideon was among the persons who had seen her.

Then she smiled up at Gideon softly when he said he was not mad at her. Then she buried her head into his chest and pulled him into a hug. She knew that he was probably upset about losing the match, but if he said he was not mad at her then she would believe him. Or at least she would try to believe him. She herself was still upset about the whole ordeal.

Maxwell laughed. "He does that sometimes." Then Maxwell stuck his tongue out at his large bird.

"I'll try and let you know but it's difficult, i know when he gets to the end of his cycle but it's almost random when it happens." Maxwell said "The first time i missed it i thought he ran away but then he emerged from the ashes and i felt a little stupid." Maxwell said with a laugh.
