Despite the sixth year's best efforts to distract the Head Boy, his focus was on Gobstones. He released another stone onto the court... countered with one blue thrown by the sixth year.... the two stones seemed to sail through the air... for a brief moment before the fell... rolling over a rock, which caused them to bounce a bit.

The blue one bounced twice and then simply stopped, the yellow one, bounced thrice and then rolled a bit farther.... close to the center Jack Stone, enough to seal another point for Hufflepuff, and the round. Hufflepuff now leads in rounds.

Perhaps the sixth year had finally succeeded in distracting the Head Boy, but alas, it wasn't him who rolled for the house of Badgers this time. Young third year, Alyssa Potter took the initiative.... rolling her yellow stone with a certain sense of carefree being. Of course, despite the Head Boy not rolling for his house, Ellie wasn't about to back down for her own house.

Both stones were released from their respective owner's hands at the same time.... the yellow one inching just a bit farther ahead, as was the case with the last roll, closer to the Jack Stone.... Hufflepuff takes another point.

Feeling confident, Alyssa Potter ignored the older kids and tossed her yellow stone onto the court again... her yellow stone rolled smoothly, evenly and then stopped right next to the Jack Stone.

A difficult shot for Ravenclaw to match, should they attempt it ... and .... nope! The point and round goes to Hufflepuff, along with another spraying of gob at the Ravenclaw players! Perhaps that ought to keep Ellie focused on the match - if it didn't, then Merlin only knew what would.

Given how distracted Ellie was at that moment, a new Ravenclaw stepped in to play for her.... Vincenzo Vanderbilt, despite the glasses, actually rolled his blue stone quite well. It swerved a bit ... but mostly stayed within the confines of the path to the Jack Stone. And a new Hufflepuff also stepped in to roll .... The Hufflepuff Captain, Keefer Marius rolled his stone.

It seemed that quidditch beating wasn't his only strong point either. The yellow stone rolled past the blue one and to a stop closer to the center Jack Stone.

ooc: I asked for charm. Occulmency is the act of protecting one's mind from infiltration, yes, but it's not a charm ;D

Treyen un-distracted himself and managed to lob his stone onto the court first that time. The yellow marble rolled over a few bumps and then rolled to a stop right next to the Jack Stone. Still plenty of room for those Eagles to maybe out-shoot him, should they attempt to do so.

But .... no... they were pre-occupied with the gob on their faces it seemed. Pity too, as they just received a fresh squirting of gob, signifying the end of another round. Hufflepuff was on a roll it seemed.

For a moment, Hadley wondered what happened to the players. Perhaps they'd all passed out from the smell of the gob? But oh no... just at that moment, young, determined First Year Hufflepuff, Ella Bishop stepped up and took one of the golden marbles. She cast her roll .... a bit of a novice, her first gobstones roll rolled slightly off and away from the Jack Stone....

Second year Harvey Watson also seemed quite unaffected by the gob smell and tossed a blue stone onto the court. Similar to Ella's stone, the blue stone also rolled off to the opposite edge of the court.

"Er... let's try that one again." Please? Shoot. Not point.

ooc: close, but the correct answer was Ansuz, Ehwaz, Eihwaz, Isa, Othila and Uruz. Also this will be my last question for the night; I'll continue at approx. 6pm EST tomorrow.

And different players again this time; for Hufflepuff, Justin Wellheart rolled... his yellow stone rolling slightly off skew and over to the edge. Seeing an advantage, Ellie took it and cast her blue stone ... it rolled gracefully over a few bumps on the court and right up next to the center Jack Stone.

The sixth year Ravenclaw scores a point!
