At the top of the steep steps, high in Ravenclaw Tower your dormitory awaits you. The circular room is lined with beds and trunks, a few owls flutter about the space and several cats chase dustballs on the wooden floor. Books and homework cast throughout the room show just how studious the members of Ravenclaw are. Pull back the sheets and close the curtains because another day of learning lies ahead!

RACHEL?!? O___________________o She hadn't seen her in well.. ages ''Pardon, but ummm... Rachel?,'' she glanced at the light beside her, she never avoided Rache... No, it couldn't be, Luna didn't talk to her any more, but maybe...
She scanned her and sure enough, it was Luna!
They hadn't spoken or seen each other in ages, "Luna?!" she grinned, "Oh my, it is you isn't it!" then she asked where she had been, the truth was, she didn't really know, but she had been ill over the summer and arrived at Hogwarts about a month late, "I-I've been ill for quite a while, most of the summer actually and a bit of this term, I did mean to tell you, but my dad said it would be best not to, so..." she trailed off, hoping Luna remembered her relationship with her father, they never spoke, not even when in public, when he had to go to a fancy function, she was always left behind. "What about you? How's Presley? I haven't seen her for ages!"
It seemed awkward, they were talking for the first time in months, possibly a year.

The fifteen years old tried so hard not to keep her jaw dropped at the news of Ellie looking for a rebound guy after breaking up with her former boyfriend. She had a former boyfriend? The image of Ellie in a white dress standing next to a blank faced dude popped in Louisa's head, she had to shake it off though. It was impossible!
They kissed after what? O________o TWENTY MINUTES? The hypocrite. He thought three dang months too short to get a boyfriend. Heh. So much for being a reasonable adviser.
"Aww, Ellie." Louisa murmured sadly. Why did she tell him that?! Honesty wasn't always the right thing to do. It was obvious why he left her then.. Louisa couldn't blame him anymore. Ellie was lucky, in fact, that Dallin only left her. He didn't.. like punched or broke up with her. Louisa would have.
The reason why Ellie broke up with him later, though, did not make sense to the girl furrowing her eyebrows at the news. Maybe it was because Louisa never been in love, or due to her being a 'practical' girl. Or because she was simply dumb at the moment. "You ca-" She started to say assuming that Ellie was finished, but apparently she wasn't. Oh, good, they were making progress. Well, that was a start.
NOT.
If Ellie was sniffling and fidgeting with her toy teddy bear, Louisa gasped. Loudly. Blatantly. Unabashed by the girls trying to sleep. "HE DID WHAT?" With Vashti? HOLYMERLIN'SPANTS. The jaw dropping wasn't controllable now. The picture of Dallin snogging with Vashti was stuck in Louisa's mind as her eyes stared in horror. What about Anakin? What about Dallin reaching a new level of... jerkness?
After what seemed like a good three minutes, the Ravenclaw started shaking her head in disbelief. "You're way too nice." Because Ellie was defending the whole thing. Again, if it was Louisa, she'd stick their mouths together for good. Scoff. "Or too much in love," she tried to calm down a bit. "What did you do when he did that?" If she didn't at least slap him, Louisa was going to do it for her.
In an instant, it seemed Louisa had sucked all the oxygen out of the room. Not literally of course, but almost. Her gasp was so big, Ellie almost expected the windows to break in. But they didn't, luckily.
And then she exploded. Ellie flinched a little when Louisa yelled. And her eyes were like: O____O
"HekissedVashti." Ellie repeated quietly. She was actually kind of afraid of Louisa now. She didn't know Louisa could yell that loud. Ellie looked around to see a grumpy seventh year eyeing them. Apparently she had been trying to sleep. Ellie ignored her and looked back at Louisa.
After a while, Louisa finally spoke up again. Ellie was... nice? Did she not hear what Ellie had just told her? She used Dallin as a reeeebound. Nothing about that seemed very nice to Ellie. "I probably deserved it," Ellie mumbled, slumping against the headboard of her bed again.
What did she do after that? Ellie pursed her lips. "I smacked him. In the face... Really hard." Her lips twitched up into a small smile. It felt good to smack him, too.

She deserved it? Louisa frowned seriously at the delusional friend of hers. "Listen, Ellie. I might not be the expert in relationships." Not when her own relationship with Joao is a mess and unstable like this. "But I can give you the perspective of an outsider." Which was the best thing Louisa could ever do to a heartbroken friend. She was good at those. "You were wrong by telling him he was the rebound guy. It might be true when you first met him. Maybe it continued to be true for the next week or so but I am sure as I breathe that it's fate that made your ex break up with you so you can go and fetch a rebound, only to meet your real soul mate." Talking confidently and very softly, "Using that fact to hurt Dallin is awful. I think you both were mad at the moment, maybe you should've given yourselves some time away from each other."
Louisa sighed sadly, "If I can speak up my mind, I'll tell you that you're the one to mend this." She gave an encouraging smile, "You know how pathetic Dallin is now. I mean, he kissed a girl that he barely know, c'mon." If Louisa recalled right, it was her who introduced Dallin to Vashti two terms ago when she was high on his love. "He needs you. He's hurt even more without you. And so are you." Eying the teddy bear for a second. "Give yourself some time but don't let the idea of you two away from each other forever get to you. You can't." Neither one of them.

Ellie looked up at Louisa again as the girl began talking. And it sounded like she was about to give her some good advice, so she listened well to what she had to say.
She was wrong to call him the rebound guy. Well, duh, Ellie knew that. And it's not like she said it on purpose to hurt him, it just... slipped out. But, siiigh. Ellie didn't say anything about that and let Louisa continue. And then she started going on about... fate? It was fate that Alex broke up with her so that Ellie felt like she needed a rebound. And then she found Dallin. And look where they were now? Well... Where they were before the breakup. It seemed a bit odd, though. Louisa was the last person Ellie expected to talk about 'fate' and 'soul mates'.
Wait... She had to mend this? Ellie had to mend this? "What?!" Nooo way, this wasn't her fault. Well, the last part wasn't; Dallin deliberately tried to make Ellie mad or jealous or whatever by kissing another girl. "Dallin knows Vashti and he kissed her to make me upset! I hardly see how this is my problem to fix." And he needed her? Pff. Yeah right. All he seemed to need was a kissing booth and he'd be just fine. Ellie rolled her eyes and glared off into a corner. "I don't need to give it time; I can't fix this... It's not mine to fix." And there was Ellie's stubbornness.

Louisa sighed. There we go again. "He knows her but he's not in love with her! Besides, Vashti has a boyfriend." Poor Anakin. The Ravenclaw wanted to retort to Ellie's stubborn words but she pursed her lips and decided to think before saying anything on the matter. This wasn't just any talk she had with Ellie before, this was something critical.
Taking her towel off her hair, she started to slowly untangle her hair with her hand. And she spoke, "This isn't the problem we're talking about. This is a complication of the main problem. You pushed him to do it. He's taking revenge, he's trying to make you feel jealous." Honestly? Louisa had no idea what Dallin was thinking- oh wait, what he was NOT thinking about at the moment. But she could throw a guess. She did know him well, you know. Right? right. "Don't you think it's a gesture of him that he still wants you to feel something for him?" Hmm? The answer was predictable, though. Ellie was looking at the situation in a very emotional way. That was bad for a Ravenclaw, actually.
Throwing her slightly wet hair back, Louisa started folding her wet towel. "You don't want to give it time? Well, then. I'm going to find you a new rebound guy." Rings some bells?

Dallin was not in love with Vashti. As far as they knew. Louisa did have a point about that. So Ellie just pursed her lips and shut her mouth. Poor Vashti. She must have been horrified. Ellie briefly wondered what Anakin would do if he found out... But she had more important matters to think about!
Ellie furrowed her eyebrows and shoved her face into her hands. Louisa was right. And Ellie hated when Louisa was right. Dallin had done this to take revenge on Ellie, probably hoping that she would get jealous. And she was a bit jealous; Vashti got to kiss Dallin McKinley, who was like, the hottest guy in Hogwarts. Ugh. Those should have been heeerr lips! SIGH. Anyway. "You're right," Ellie groaned, her voice muffled into her hands. She lifted her head and looked at the fifth year. "All this time, I thought I was thinking with my brain because I was trying to avoid doing what I wanted and thinking with my heart. But what I thought was my heart was actually my brain so I did what my... brain... no, my heart..." This was all very confusing now that Ellie put it into words. "Never mind." Ellie buried her face again in her hands.
But her head popped up when Louisa mentioned a new rebound guy. Ellie narrowed her eyes and glared at the girl. "That is so not funny, Carter." Especially in this situation, even though Ellie knew she was just having fun. "Fine, I guess I'll give it time, but... How much? And then what?" Since Louisa seemed to be so fantastic at this relationship stuff.

Okay, all this heart/brain talk? It did not make sense. Not in the bit. Louisa didn't say so, though. Ellie was probably trying to justify her actions.. or no, she was trying to justify her sadness. Louisa gave a slow nod though to let her friend know that she was not following her. "Sometimes we make honest mistakes. That's not what matter, it's the decision we choose to make to repair those mistakes that matter." Totally a quote from a book.
Oh and guess what? That adverse therapy worked out! Flashing a smirk, Carter shrugged one shoulder, "It's you that decide that." And Dallin. Who was going to get a similar lecture soon. "When you don't feel like smacking him in the face anymore or when you can control your sniffles around him... that would be the right time to let him know that this isn't working out." And by 'this' she meant staying away and trying to hurt each other to make them feel something.

It seemed awkward, they were talking for the first time in months, possibly a year.
Hmm? Oh yeah ''Umm.. yeah it's me,'' she replied in a been there done that sort of tune! Even though it was like five seconds ago! She frowned at the 'Luna' bit... she didn't like being called 'Luna' most people called her LuLu.. In fact, teacher(s)! Proffeser Bentley was always one to make students happy.. One of the nice teacher and even favorite although Herbology wouldn't necessarily be her best subject... Sadly! LuLu was into Potions and Proffeser Lafay didn't bother her... she called her Ms Kieren... she enjoyed that very much.. Sooo official!
Ill? Poor girl, it must have been dead serious, since LuLu believed she was just avoiding, Herself and Pres.. But Rachel was proved to be a goody goody to friends, in first year! She then frowned again at Presley's name being mentioned... She felt in her feelings that Rachel was mad at her or something, she didn't know all the facts.. because Pres didn't like to talk about it.. Beside she had bigger problems to deal with! ''Yeah.. she's.. fine emmm just a bit more into her studies.. that's all,'' she muttered, she wasn't going to share secrets yet.. It had only been five minutes into the conversation! LuLu moved awkwardly

Presley walked into the dormitory, her hair still wet from her shower, and her cozy jammies on. She busied herself for a moment organizing the pile of books and homework next to her bed. Until she heard an all-too-familiar voice. She flipped around to notice Rachel. Talking to Lu. Smiling determindley, she greeted her best friend. "Hey, Lu. How was Arithmancy?" Not that Presley had skipped that class, she was....indisposed. Okay, she'd skipped it. But skipping one class in three years was not going to kill her. She'd very well derserved that extra hour of sleep.
Presley knew she was being rude, ignoring the other person in the room, but talking calmly to Rachel right now without being a total brat seemed to not be an option. She cut her eyes toward the girl. "Hello, Rachel," She said calmly, politely, and a little coldly.

It seemed okay Rachel didn't bite or nothing... ''Hey Pres,'' This was a Reunion kind of thing although Presley and herself, did keep in touch before hand... LuLu stared at the glances between Rachel and Presley.. It was awkward, but she supported her best friend so she still liked Rachel but Presley had to come first... Even though she was quite ill... She probably had loads more friends, even best friends anyway she smiled at her ''Arithmancy.. Okay I didn't get anything... Wrong!,'' She wasn't going to brag about Arithmancy.. Pres didn't LOVE the subject she was very upset when she got an E in it... So she just sat there and stayed quiet
She patted on the bed for Presley to sit next to her... It was better to start off... Slow!''So how are classes going,'' she asked both of them... There had to be something to talk about even if it was classes!

Then someone entered the room, she heard her say hello to Luna, Rachel recognised that voice, Presley. As much as she missed her, Rachel didn't want to see her right now, she didn't know what to say, she had a feeling that Presley was angry with her, she paused and looked at her, then she said hello, so Rachel thought it was only politely to answer back, "Hello Presley," she said, noticing the coldness in her voice, she closed her eyes for a second and then took a deep breath, "How are you?" she asked.
Luna seemed calm, normal, but there was tension in Presleys glare, luckily Luna asked for her to sit down, she felt awful, she had left them, and allthough they had grown closer, she had drifted apart and now, had no friends, being her was rubbish. She spoke to Luna now, "Classes...Fine, but in most of them I'm really lost, all the words go over my head, I do listen, but I just don't get what they are saying most of the time."

The look on Louisa's face told Ellie that she had no idea what she was talking about. But, that was okay. Ellie didn't really know what she herself was talking about anyway, so she wasn't too offended when Louisa just nodded. Whatever. But Louisa word's of wisdom made Ellie raise an eyebrow. "That was very... deep. But thank you." Because they actually were helpful. All that mattered was that Ellie repaired the mistakes that had been made.
And apparently, according to Dr. Louisa, it was up to Ellie to decide when to solve things with Dallin. When she didn't feel like smacking him, and when she didn't feel like crying her face off. And by "isn't working out", Ellie assumed she meant the separation of her and Dallin.
Ellie sighed. "But what if he's not ready? What if I go to try and talk to him and he wants nothing to do with me?" That was always in the back of Ellie's mind; that maybe, Dallin still didn't want to talk to her. Or see her.

Like she would tell Rachel how she was really doing? This girl who she hadn't seen in over a year...'Yeah, Rache, I'm doing terribly, my father hates me, I'm doing worse in dance, I got an E in Arithmancy, I feel abandoned, and my brother is abandoning me too!' No. That was never going to happen. "I'm doing well," Presley's face showed a bright fake smile. "And you?" She asked cooly.
Presley rolled her eyes and didn't bother to hold back her next comment. "Usually you're behind in classes if you don't go for over a year, now aren't you?" She asked sarcastically. Really. Even if she was a Ravenclaw, she couldn't expect to not go to class, and still get perfect O's.

Presley genuinely smiled at Lu. "I'll probably need help with the homework later if you've got the time?" It could wait, the homework wasn't due for a couple of days, but Presley would need help. She was rubbish at Arithmancy and everyone knew it.
Pres sat where Lu had indicated, and pulled her feet up, crossing her legs. Her classes? Or was Lu talking to Rachel? Presley was unsure, but she answered anyway. "Fine, I suppose. I mean, we've got a couple of new teachers, and that's an adjustment, what with starting new subjects this year, but really, the ettiquette lesson in Muggle Studies? How many people actually didn't know all of that already? It was completely useless." Especially to Presley who had definitely grown up knowing the rules of ettiquette and behaving like a lady.
Or see her.
Louisa smiled proudly and nodded once. Why of course it was very deep. It wasn't her words. It was someone with lots of diplomas and stuff. Louisa didn't let out that bit of detail, though. It was... unnecessary.
...what if he's not ready? Seriously, was this girl playing dumb? Louisa pursed her lips together refusing to offend the girl while she was in this state. "Ellie..." shut up. Forcing a serious smile, Louisa looked right into her eyes, "If I were Dallin and heard you, I would've slapped you." Luckily for the older Ravenclaw, Louisa was not Dallin. "He loves you. I can't believe that after everything you two went through, you still think he might not be ready. He's only away because you broke up with him." Not vice versa. Heh. Teenagers.
With a sigh, she broke into a genuine sad smile, "I'm really sad about this whole thing. Your relationship, no matter what it did to me in the beginning, showed me this kind of love I never knew. If you guys break it..." she left the sentence unfinished.

... WELL.
Sometimes, Ellie loved Louisa's bluntness. This, actually, was one of those times. Because she helped Ellie realize that she was being a complete idiot about all of this and it was pretty much all her fault that everything they had was completely destroyed. "Well, I'm glad you're not Dallin," Ellie mumbled to herself.
Ellie sighed heavily. Dallin loved her; Ellie knew that. It was silly of her to think that he didn't. And Louisa was right about everything - much to Ellie's chagrin. Dallin was only away because Ellie broke up with him. "You're right." And she really hated that fact, too.
Louisa's last sentence made Ellie feel really bad... And sad. Ellie looked at her friend sadly when she didn't finish her sentence. Did Louisa actually look up to her? Well, maybe not Ellie in particular, but her and Dallin's relationship? "I'll fix it. Don't worry." She added a small smile. Because she was confident - or at least hoping - that she would indeed fix it.

SUCCESSSSSSSSSSSS. Louisa felt like letting out one heck of a sigh but she refrained. Instead, she jumped on Ellie, her arms wrapping around the girl's neck, the teddy bear prevented their bodies from crashing. "That's the Ellie Johanson I want to see!" Pulling away a little, Louisa kept her smiling face as she continued, "Well, then! My mission is done here, I guess? I think we should get to sleep before the others throw me out." Eying few girls who were apparently grumbling.

And suddenly, Ellie was being attacked.
O_________________O
Ellie couldn't recall a time where Louisa had hugged her. It was kind of odd. Ellie was frozen for a moment, trying to figure out what was going on. Finally, Ellie hugged her in return and patted her back somewhat awkwardly. That was interesting. Erm.. thank you?'" Sure, why not.
When she pulled away, Ellie gave her a genuine smile. "Yeah, I suppose so." Ellie had a plan. She was going to talk to Dallin and figure things out. FIX things. "Thanks for your help, Louisa. I really appreciate it." And that was the honest truth.
Rachel smiled at Luna, she didn't know whether to call her Lu, as they had only just began to talk to each other after almost a year, she shifted awkwardly, "I'm glad you're good, so how has everything been?" she asked, Rache didn't really know what to say to Lu.

Rachel seemed to be pleading innocent and Presley was more like the judge that didn't seem to want to listen to it... But that was her choice so, she excepted Presley's thought, but she had to atleast hope... that Pres would accept her's, LuLu loved second chances and really what did the girl do wrong other than get sick! But Pres seemed to think otherwise, an emotional
history perhaps... She was told Pres was upset.. So it was a very difficult and annoying subject!
She looked up at Rachel, She didn't exactly how to reply without boasting but she could.. try? ''Oh, well.. I'm sure you'll catch up soon you can mention it to the Headmaster, i'm sure he'll help,'' Tate was a.. nice man he'd try wouldn't he? She sighed heavily
Hm? At least Pres was happy with her... Right? But it wasn't something she wanted to just appear in her mind magically, Dinner etiquette ''Well, you know i'm not much for the whole fancy shmancy stuff, but I strongly agree, it was probably beyond simple,'' she liked muggle studies but sometimes it went to far..
Autumn skipped into the dormitry "I'm back!!" she grinned. ran over to the bed and pulled the curtains and got undressed, pulled on her dressinggown and then walked to the bathroom with a towell, shamoo and soap

Beezus tossed her backpack on her bed and got ready to take off her socks when she heard a sort of something glassy came colliding with the sheets. She froze. She didn't remember putting anything glass inside her backpack. Well..nothing that she could remember. But checking was a better thing to do right? So..she sat down on her bed and opened her backpack. There was a tiny glow going on and off. She frowned more, she couldn't remember placing a lantern there. So why the glowing? But her questions were answered when she pulled out a black picture frame from inside her bag.
"OH!" she exclaimed upon identifying it.
That was the picture frame that she had transfigured earlier that afternoon at the Practice Room. Merlin, how could she forget about that? She felt so bad for she was even thinking of giving it to her Aunt. Quickly, she took out her wand from its holster, pulled out a small photo of her and her Aunt, grabbed the frame and placed it on a small table inside the Dormitory. She was going to transfigure the frame and photo like they did in their Transfiguration Class.
But to start off, she needed to revert the frame back into its original form. "Reverto." she uttered as she lightly touched the frame with her wand's tip. A small pop came and smoke filled the spot. A few seconds later, she was staring at a parchment laid on the table. "Then..placing it in the middle.." the eaglet said as she placed the photo in the middle of the flatly laid parchment.
Okay Beezus. Concentrate. You were able to do it. You can do it again. She encouraged herself. She wasn't sure if she'd still be able to transfigure the parchment properly because once again, the parchment was different from the muggle paper. With a heavy breath, she mumbled "Stat-UA HAB-itum." Beezus traced the square shape of the parchment and closed her eyes. Please, please..Please it be transfigured correctly.. She prayed.
And because she had closed her eyes, she wasn't able to see the reaction that had taken place with the the photo and the frame yet she heard its crumpling. When there wasn't anymore sound, she slowly opened her eyes then a smile curved her lips. "Can't wait to send this to Aunt Belinda." the eaglet said as she held the newly transfigured picture frame.
'Hey guys.' Kendra said as she walked into the room, which seemed to always be warm and comfortable. It also seemed to have a tonne of girls milling around at all times of the day. Someone to talk to, even if they should be in classes. Walking over to her bed she sat down and pulled her gray fluffy slippers on, her shoulders relaxing as she did so. She sat forwards and pulled her glasses on as she began to read a book she had taken from her home. She wasn't too sure what it was about yet, she had sort of just picked it up when she had been in the station before crossing to the Expresses' own station. She didn't need her glasses usually, but sometimes she had to, especially when she was tired.

Jez stormed into the dorms, heading straight for her bed without so much as a glance at the other girls. Nate's words rang in her ears. Jared seems to be getting a little trigger-happy ... that made her feel worse, if it were possible, because it was true. Jared was killing unnecessarily. Jordan had helped them, that was true, but that didn't mean his little brother had to die. Jez remembered Pam's blue features, less noticeable these days since she seemed to have more control over her meta powers. She remembered Nate crying into her shoulder when he'd gotten the note about his parents. It made her angry beyond hell at Team Wolf and their leader, but also extremely guilty. Option 3 resurfaced in her mind, but she pushed it away. It wasn't possible anymore, not without Keegan or Des to help her. Jez wasn't that good at magic yet, and especially not Memory Charms. So now Option 2 was looking inviting.
Jez pulled her backpack form her trunk, stuffing jeans and shirts into it, leaving the front pocket free. She didn't have many special things - no jewellery or ornaments. But she did have photos. The Black family, complete and happy; Jez and Than on a broomstick, Jez holding her brother tightly around the waist as he swooped, laughing; her, Keegan and Des, the only Blacks left but still managing smiles; Pam, Sam and Jasper; Nate and his parents; Nate, Pam and Jez together in the tree. Six photos, but many memories. Jez put them in the front pocket along with her purse filled with money, and the ugly clock necklace, its face broken. Jez pulled on Scott's jacket, slightly surprised it still fit her after her growth spurt, and swung the backpack over her shoulders. She ran out of the dorms, trying not to think too much about the future or she'd have serious second thoughts.
