She lowered her fist, still hovering on her broom where she had stopped, and just sort of stared at the little golden ball in her hand, as if trying to comprehend its existence.

Yay yayy yaay. She was really happy. And there was no need to go up to the hospital wing this time, but she probably would anyway. To see Ellie. And tell her the good news. Yaaaay. They could celebrate noww right?

He was off like a rocket in her direction, his smile growing.
Though thoughts of visiting Ellie came flooding back to him, he had business with their star player first. “Vash,” he called, on the ground running toward her and wrapping her in a brief, tight hug. “You did it! Boy, the title of Best Seeker in the School wasn’t enough for you, eh?” he laughed. “Ellie is going to be very proud of you - I'm proud of you, too. I mean, everyone is. You were great!”
Oh my! Lana pulled back as she watching Vashti close in on the snitch and then it was all over. All she saw was the golden ball in the hand of their seeker and Head Girl. Then the booming voice of Vindictus pulled her back to reality.
They had won!!!!!! They really just won! She was in shock! It felt kind of like a dream. The sound of Ellie's voice was with her the whole match and she had been pushing herself to play thrice as hard since the opening whistle. They actually did it though. They were going to the Championship! She couldn't wait to tell Ellie about it. They did it all for her and she would be so proud of them.
Hoping off her broom once she was back on the pitch safely, she ran for Vashti and Max. "Oh my! You guys were so awesome!" she beamed as she nearly tackled them both in a hug. Her tiny body wasn't enough to topple them, but she hugged them both something fierce. "Ellie's gonna be so proud of you guys." Thoughts of Ellie up in the castle since filled her mind again and they needed to tell her about this as soon as they could. Letting going of her older teammates, she offered them a tiny giggle and smile before she turned to see her other team mates. Indy was dancing a bit and she could help but join in for a moment before she set her sights on Spike!
Seeing him, she ran again and tackled him with a hug! "Spike! You were great too!"
Everyone was great! Ellie was really going to be super proud of her team and seriously, Lana couldn't wait to get back to their captain and celebrate. She had heard that 'Claw parties were something epic.

Anya was still busy sniffling when Gideon spoke.
Her eyes widened. She knew that tone. That was the tone that her parents took whenever something was wrong! It was the 'I've got bad news' doctor voice. She must have looked horrible!
Worse than the banner she ripped.
"Idunno..." she squeaked. She looked up again to the spot she fell from... she did hit a beam AND fall from a banner...
O_O She was dying wasn't she?
As the thought crossed her mind... she became more aware of how much she hurt EVERYWHERE.
Her bottom lip trembled as she looked back to Gideon. "I'm... tooscaredtotry" she whimpered. "I'll just stay right here forever."
And not move. She was okay with that.

Selina was furious with the Ravenclaws. Yay! Congrats! They won! How great, but the fact of the matter was that there was a serious problem. Someone was hurt, seriously hurt on the Pitch, and no one cared a lick about whether or not the person was hurt or not. Selina was almost certain that whenever another person was hurt on the opposing team she was always the first person to ask if they were okay. It was human decency. Consideration. None of which Ravenclaw seemed to have at the moment.
When her Seeker who had FALLEN FROM THE SKY was taken care of and in the hospital wing she would be the first person to congradulate the Ravenclaws on their win. They had played marvelously, but the fact of the matter was that they were being selfish pricks and leaving an eleven year old out in the dust.
"I am talking to you," Selina affirmed, "You fould, odious birds. An eleven year old is hurt and you want to know where the party is? What kind of selfish dragon DUNG is that? You know what... congrats on your win. Really... you can all go and on and pretend that ANYA is FINE!"
Trav watched the whole scene from the sky... still feeling rather sick after being put into the position so suddenly. But they had won, and he had little to be nervous about...
Well at least until the Gryffindor captain began to yell.
Ooops. Wait... was he supposed to do something. He had never really paid any attention to how Ellie had dealt with these kind of situations in the past. With out a word, he quickly landed... As acting captain, he was supposed to do something, but what?
He walked quietly over to where the Gryffindor Captain was yelling. "Uhmm... ma'am" he said rather shyly... his stomach was not being happy right now. What was he supposed to say... calm your moustache-less face...? that wouldn't work.
Trav looked around hoping Vindictus would interject.
"I'm sorry, but we did just win..." he said trying to explain why they were celebrating, and why she was the girls captain and should deal with it. "and... and..." Trav could feel his stomach giving into the nervous pressure.
Travis let out a burp... but there was no sound other than a SPLASH!
Oh... oh no... He wasn't supposed to puke on the captain was he?

Waaiiit. That captain was really shouting at them now. Indiana frowned, stepping away from her brother. "Thats not very nice!" At all. How ruddee. They had just won of course they were allowed to celebrate. "We just won, we can celebrate if we want." Duhh. Of course they were gonna celebrate. "And yeah. We know Anya's hurt. We can see. But our Captain is already in the hospital wing, so trust me we know about injures thank you verrry much." Indiana had no idea where this sudden burst of confidence had come from really. But she really did not like being shouted at her.
Now shouldn't this annoying captain go and look after her poor little hurted seeker instead of you know, shouting at them. Cause that was totally not very nice at all. Now. Go away. Hmm. Indy folded her arms, offering the Gryffindor captain a smile. Yup. The captain had better not shout anymore. Oh and Trav was there now. And he was puking over the gryffindor captain. Oh dear. "Trav...Are you okay?" The second year kind of wanted to go closer. But didn't really wanted to be sicked upon. So she remained where she was. For now anyway.

And just like that the game was over. Selina had seen some pretty dirty games in her life, but Ravenclaw was in it to win it. The rough housing was a little out of control, and Casey proved that when he got his penalty. The now-blonde gryffindor Captain was about to yell across the field at the Claw to keep his hands in check, but then the whistle was blown and the game was over. What else could she do? Her team had played their best and their best was bloody brilliant. She was so proud of them and everything that they had accomplished this season. Honestly, she could not even believe that they had advanced as far as they did, but Selina was a little hard on her team. She expected a lot of them and they delivered more than she ever could have dreamed. They worked hard, they were good looking and took the whole sport seriously while not being pricks about it. All-in-all it was a good term.
But then her eyes caught sight of Gideon who had suddenly bolted across the field to a very crumbled form on the ground. Finally, when her blue eyes focused to the face of the injured, it focused on her Seeker, poor little Anya Philips.
...
That. Was. It.
There was NO WAY they were going to get away with hurting her Seeker. Anya was very dear to Selina's heart and she had promised Carter that she would keep an eye on his baby sister. She had broken her promise when Anya's body hit the cold, hard ground. There were some words that were going to be exchanged and someone had best get her bat OUT of her hand before she did something rash.
Without saying another word she gripped her bat tight in her hand and her usual sarcastic, warm blue eyes narrowed into cold, dark slits. People had best restrain her now, because no one hurt an eleven year old the way they had just hurt Anya!
"Ravenclaw!" Selina said at the top of her lungs, "Who hurt my Seeker?"
... she could care less that they lost. When they hurt the Seeker.. things got personal.

He couldn't help but wince when Anya spoke of hitting something, figuring it was a support beam and not a nice soft item either seeing as where the seeker had been. The fall had been evident enough as well as the flag ripping, the boy nodding in understanding on what had transpired. But then she answered his actual question with soft spoken words and that was when the fifth year's worry was made more profound, the boy placing down his broom and kneeled on the ground beside her.
"Can...can you move it...even a little?" he asked trying to think of what his grandfather might ask to judge the situtation. The first response he got however was the familiar voice of Selina yelling, obviously upset with Anya's injury by the opposing team. Gideon shook his head, fighting the urge to step in and try and calm her down, but his focus was on the injured girl in question, awaiting a reaction.

Ever since the hit with the bluger at the beginning of the match Kacie. I'm alright, no time to be weak now. She told her self, trying her best to keep up her game all the way to the last second of the game, ignoring the pain in her side. When the finally whistle was blown and Ravenclaw was announced as the winner she was very disappointed, but she was glad that it was over.
Kacie flew down to where her brother was, to see if Anya was alright. "Is she alright?" she asked, holding her side with one hand and her broom in the other. She looked over at Selina when her yelling voice reached her ears. Oh God!!!! Was there going to be a fight? She hoped not, because she wasn't in any condition to help, but she would if Selina needed some back up. "SELINA YOU TELL THEM!!!!" she yelled, letting go of her broom as she jumped up in down, which wasn't good. "Ow ow ow!!!! That hurts." Kacie moaned, clutching her side.

Lana blinked and stepped back coving her little ears. She wasn't one to judge a group as a whole, but she was seriously starting to dislike this whole house of Lions. All the yelling about how they hurt someone. The last time she checked, their team hadn't forced anyone to fly into anything.
Glancing over at where all the more caring and respectful Gryffies were, she winced as she saw their seeker. She did hope she was okay but having their captain berate them wasn't going to really help anything. "Maybe you should be more concerned with getting the hospital wing than yelling at us!" Yes, she was upset about what happened but being a meanie head wasn't going to make the seeker better.
Narrowing her eyes, she scowled and turned to her fellow team mates. "Maybe we should head to the hospital wing as well. We do have a knocked out and half-conscious captain to check on." Seriously, like they didn't know anything about how having injuries on their team meant to the team as a whole.

Best...what? "I'm not the best Seeker in the school though," she said with a shake of her head. "Ellie is." And she was sure Max would agree with that. Speaking of which, they definitely needed to go see her as soon as they got out of here. "But thanks." She did appreciate that he thought Ellie would be proud of her. And that he was. Then Spike came over. Merlin, it was nice having him on the pitch again. The banner? "Oh yes, what a shame," she replied with a small laugh and smile. She also smiled at Indy as she said they had done well, though was caught off-guard when Lana suddenly threw herself at them. She recovered quickly though and returned the hug. "You were awesome too," Vashti told her. "You all were," she directed that at the whole team - even over to the Gryffindors because they too had played well.

...Only someone wasn't taking it well and was yelling...at them?
Turning away from her teammates, Vashti faced Selina. "Look," she said. "None of us hurt your Seeker. My guess would be that she hit one of the wooden beams when the snitch went under." That kind of happened sometimes during Quidditch, and it really couldn't be helped - unless the Seeker didn't care about their team winning of course. Then, you know, they didn't have to go under the stands and risk getting hit. "Blame me if you want to, but stop yelling at the rest of them. They didn't do anything." They just played the game as they were supposed to and celebrated their win appropriately as they had the right to do.
"I'm sorry about Anya getting hurt," she said sincerely. If she could have chosen, she would have let herself get hurt instead of a little first year, but, well, there wasn't much she could do. "But I doubt you'd care much about me if I was the one who hit a beam and you all had won." Because, again, injuries and things were all a part of Quidditch. "Besides, if you didn't want to risk her getting hurt - which tends to happen in Quidditch - why did you let her play?"
And then...
Oh Merlin, really?
Someone please tell her Travis had not just thrown up on the Gryffindor Captain...

When Anya reacted the way she did to his words, Gideon bit his lip. Obviously he failed being a cool, calm, concerne and soothing healer-type. Maybe they shouldn't try to move it then if the girl was fearful of it hurting to much. Merlin knew for certain...the injured party always knew better then the non-insured party what it felt like to them. Even without moving it.
And then Selina went off again, yelling and clearly showing her displeasure to the Ravenclaws. He just hoped she didn't get herself into serious trouble, especially with Vindictus around and being official AND the head of house of the team she was blasting. And that Anya didn't take it as even more of a worse thought on her actual condition. Bentley would have to be able to help one....guess he'd have to silently hope for the other.
Then Kacie joined in, agreeing with their captain and Gideon shot her a look. He might have reprimanded her and but his protectiveness kicked in when he saw that she wasn't alright either. "GUYS....cut it out!," he yelled to get their attention. "Its not worth it..." He wasn't about to be concerned with the other team and want a fight to brew esepcially when the two youngest were hurt. "Selina...help Kacie..." he said softer trying to distract his upset girlfriend with a task, AND help his sister in some way as well.
Hearing the girl go on, it appeared Selina didn't have to effect her, she was already upset about it and Gideon turned his attention back to her. "Nae...that wouldn't do. How about I get ye to the hospital wing and get ye all fixed up?" He'd carry her if need be but he wasn't going to force her, especially when she seemed so shooken up. "I can even carry ye if ye want."

Anya was busy staring at the sky when she heard yelling.
O_O
Oh Captain. She didn't need to yell at the other team. They were probably too happy to notice her. And... Anya didn't mind. She was just a little kid. And as long as she got sent LOTS of gummy bears all would be forgiven.
She slowly got to a sitting up position. She closed her eyes as she got accustomed to her new position. She opened them just in time to see Selina get puked on...
O_O
That was WAY more important than her. Gideon should be taking care of that. Or... Kacie. Oh. Did his sister get an ouchie too?
Anya was just as bad... she didn't notice anyone was hurt. Other than the banner. Poor thing. May it rest in peace.
"I'm fine Selina..." she said weakly. Well... mostly fine anyway. She still hadn't really taken inventory.
"No! No! No! NO!" she said to the Head Girl. "Pleeeeeeease don't say that. Or write to my parents. They wouldn't let me play again." she begged.
She'd do a little dance to prove she was fine if she needed to.
Her eyes were once again watering. But this time it wasn't over the broken banner... or how sore she was... it was because of the scene unfolding in front of her little eyes.
"I... I can make it on my own..." she said. And by her own... she meant she fully expected Alec waiting for her by the locker room. "You should clean off Captain. And make sure your sister gets back." she said with her voice slowly returning to normal.
Then she looked to the Head Girl. She held her hand out toward her. "Good match." she said with a small smile. The older birdie would have to come to her to shake it. Anya didn't picture herself getting up any time soon.
She then looked to the other members of their team. The ones around her age. "Your Captain is in the Hospital Wing?" she asked them. "Does she need any gummy bears?" Because that's what people in the hospital wing needed. Gummy bears and hugs.

Selina scoffed at all of the Claws who were getting up in her face about the whole ordeal and throwing out hypotheticals. Yes, it was all very nice and well to say that she would be acting a certain way if they had won, but they hadn't won. So therefore, all she could say with certainty was how THEY all had acted. Not one person showed any regard for Anya. Look, if they wanted the bloody championship... they could have it. Selina loved Quidditch as much, if not more, than the next person, but how could people be so obtuse that all they could do in their defense was throw out hypotheticals?
She looked at all of the Ravenclaws who all seemed so very shocked they had a backbone, but she was not surprised. Anya was hurt and they did not care a lick. Honestly, it was only when she brought it up. And yes, did Selina have a hot temper? Of course she did, but everyone KNEW she had a hot temper. It was part of who she was as a person. Her short fuse was nothing new. But all of the Ravenclaws who were shoving their matyr dragon dung in her face made her want to heave.
Speaking of heaving, the acting Captain literally heaved on Selina. Luckily, she had taken a step back when he started to lurch so all that was effected was her shoes, but it was certainly a sight to see. Poor bloke looked so very nervous and if she wasn't so mad about Anya's condition she would have asked, in spite of everything, if the Claw boy was alright.
And in very Selina fashion, she literally shrug off the puking to continue to address the certain issue at hand. Although, she did feel awful gross with puke shoes. There was no way they were going to survive in the washing.
Her eyes flickered to India and Selina responded, "Are you really comparing injuries? So we are going to play the mine is worse game? I feel awful for your Captain, I do... she's a great player and I've always respected her talent on the Pitch and her humble attitude off the pitch. But don't preach to me, India. I'm not raining on your parade about winning because at the end of the day, you still won. And I'm mighty happy for all of you.. you won the game far and square, Vashiti was amazing, but don't preach to me about the weight of injuries." And Lana reitterated the same case that India did.
It was not until Vashiti stepped forward that Selina calmed down, somewhat. Selina had a lot of respect for the Head Girl. Not only was she brilliant, good at Quidditch and a nice person; she actually had the decency to sincerely address what Selina was angry about. It was not like she was being unreasonable. There was a serious problem that went on when matches were over. The winning house always seemed to blow off the loosing house and how was that fair? They were all one school and they should work as a unit, not as four seperate self-involved houses. To a degree that was alright, but an ELEVEN year old feel from the sky and hurt herself.
She looked Vashiti in the eyes and said, "You know, I know you meant that. Thanks for caring," she added sincerely, "But if you had fallen from the sky I would have asked if you were okay. I would have helped you up if your teammates didn't get to you first. I'm not begruding you for winning. I am genuinely happy for you. But there is a rift in the houses that drives me utterly insane. When was the last time the two houses gave each other a gentlemanlly handshake? I can't remember. So maybe that's what I'm more upset about."
Then she heard Gideon call out to her and she flickered her eyes to him. With one more look at the Ravenclaws she added, "Congratulations... I mean it." Then she jogged over to Anya with puke shoes gross and pet the girl's hair, "Hey kiddo... you alright?"
Oooh. Spikey was here. Indy beamed, finishing her little dance around her broom, and picking it back up. "My moves are awesomee." Of course they were. This was obviously her victory dance. Now they just neeed to win the next game and she could do it again. Yay. "You tooo...." Indy giggled, grinning up at her big brother. "You know....apart from that yellow card." That hadn't been too good. But oh well. They'd still won.
"And we wonn! And it was our first game together!! And we woon." And yaaay. That was cool. Andd lookie. Vashti and Max were here too. "Well done guys." Could she hug Max too? Maybe their keeper could have a hutchinson sibling hug? That would be nice.
But....then the Gryffindor Captain was kind of shouting at them. "Spikey...." The second year kind of hid behind her brother a little. "Why is she shouting at us?" You know. The ravenclaws?
He laughed. She was too cute right now, and he was really proud of her. Especially after her last match. Alongside his 'excited we won' face, he had 'I'm a uber proud older brother' face. He rolled his eyes as she mentioned the yellow card. "I got a bit excited," he said sheepishly. "I missed matches and practice and forgot myself." Oops. "I have to say though, this broom is amazing. No wonder Finn has one!"
Hehe. "Here's to more of the same, right? More playing together, and more winning!" He grinned. Maybe with both of them doing well, their parents would let them convert part of the garden for practice?
"Er, I don't know actually..." he said, turning to look at the Gryffie Captain. "I guess she's not happy at missing out on the Championship?" Understandable, really. Losing wasn't a nice feeling, especially when the Championship was at stake. But Seekers usually took some sort of injury. Just cos it was a firstie, didn't really matter.

Talking of firsties, one just tackled him! His grinned as he looked down to see a Lana. It was reminiscent of him and Finn and Jimmy during his first matches. "Watcha Lana!" he said, wrapping his other arm round her. "Awesome Chasing up there!" Considering they'd had so little practice together, he reckoned they did a pretty awesome job at late notice. "Couple of stunning goals..."

Then Spike came over. Merlin, it was nice having him on the pitch again. The banner? "Oh yes, what a shame," she replied with a small laugh and smile. He'd have hugged Vashti, but Spike's arm were currently occupied by icklies. Instead he gave her a wave and a knowing look at Indy and Lana. "I mean, you could have at least wrecked the Slythie one..." he said with a smirk. "The Huffie one would have been better...then there's be more blue for the Championship match.

Ooops. Wait... was he supposed to do something.

He rolled his eyes at the Captain. Honestly, this was quidditch. Injuries happened. Even to first years. Spike should know. He got knocked about enough in his first year, and ended up almost blinded after his first Championship match. There was a simple solution...Hospital Wing and sleep.
Kudos to Trav for his efforts to calm the situation though. And then... Merlin, did Trav?
Spike wrinkled his nose. Ewwwww. He edged away, and as his did so, noticed his two hug!buddies were joining in. Especially his little sis. Whoa girly! Since when did she shout back like that? Except to him? Indy was right of course, they had a Captain to worry about.
"Lana's right," he said softly. "Let Prof V sort out the Gryffs, we need to let Ellie know the good news." If Ellie would let them get them far...somehow he didn't think she'd appreciate them telling her they'd played without her. Even if it was for her own good.
Jordan smiled at the way everything kicked off, it was like being back at home. He laughe slightly as Selina kicked off at the Ravenclaws, but his hands then clamped over his mouth in shock when the Ravenclaw went to throw up near Selina. He walked himself over to Kacie, "Hey Kacie, are you okay? What's wrong?" supportig the girl as she jumped around.
He smiled as Anya stood up as though everything was better but now he had to focus on the injured teammate.

Uh oh...head girl speaking.
Was that gonna to make things better or worse, one couldn't be sure and Gideon sure wasn't certain how it would effect the outcome. Either rile things up or set things straight. But then she did make some sense even though the fifth year knew the Gryffindors would be just as concerned for others. They were sportsm--sportspeople....not like others...like the Slytherins last game who seemed so caught up in their loss they hadn't responded.
And then Selina was puked on...or rather her shoes were. Guess he wasn't the only one of them this term that had bad luck with gross shoes, the boy making a face. His attention was torn between the two girls...well three and he had to admit he was happy somewhat when Anya was able to get up showing she wasn't as bad off as thought. And even spoke up to Selina echoing his own words to let it go.
Just her arm he guessed...which as he knew would likely be fine after a visit to the nurse.
"Yer sure?" Gideon asked as he followed her up and she told him to help Selina and Kacie. The boy making sure she was alright even as Selina gave in and backed off, joining the little group. He exchanged a smile with his other half before switching his attention to his sister. "Ye okay sis?" he asked concern showing in his eyes.
Max just... blinked. And stared. They were being accused of... poor sportsmanship?
And then Max realized the other Seeker hadn't quite made it through the fabric as Vashti had. He hadn't even realized - he made a beeline for their Seeker as soon as she emerged - and he was assuming his teammates hadn't immediately recognized it either. His teammates weren't rude, inconsiderate, or unsportsmanlike at all. In all of Max's games, he had always known both teams to shake hands at some point after tending to people that needed to be looked after. The captain clearly had unusually high expectations. Was EVERYONE supposed to go crowd around a scene where someone was hurt? If Max had known what had happened, he probably would've stayed back anyway unless Vindictus asked for his assistance. However, from the look of it, the girl seemed pretty okay. What was the big deal? Max deduced that the captain just wanted a reason to blow off steam and was taking it out on them. Oh, well. Understandable, he supposed.
Before Max had the chance to retaliate the ranting captain's anger, others had spoken up. Travis had even tossed his cookies on the captain when trying to explain himself. Bless him.
Vashti seemed to handle it very well, and she did indeed calm the opposing captain down some. That was good. "You guys played a good game," he finally spoke up to the Gryffindors when Selina congratulated them. He removed one of his gloves to go shake her hand... but she was already off to tend to her Seeker. All right.
"If... all the commotion is over and no one is going to die," he told the Ravenclaws, observing the injured Gryffindors being looked after, "I'm going to go see Ellie. Sorry about your appetite, Travis." Or something like that. With that, he dashed off the field to go tell his best friend the news, hoping she would be awake.

Kacie was still holding her side when Giddy yelled for them to cut it out, catching the look he shot her way. She would have just brushed off the look and continued to yell, but didn't. The last thing she wanted was to make the pain in her side worse, so she settled down. Scrunching up her nose in disgust then the Ravenclaw barfed on Selina shoe. That was just nasty.
She looked up at Jordan when he was suddenly at her side supporting her a little. "Thanks!," she said with a smiled. Kace wanted to say that she was alright, to not seem like a whimp, but couldn't. "It's my side... from when I was hit with the bluger," she replied, to both Jordan and Giddy. She looked up at her brother, hoping that he wasn't angry with her because she continued to play while hurt. "It hurts when I move and breathe to deep."

...Only someone wasn't taking it well and was yelling...at them?
Lana smiled brightly at the Head Girl and nodded. She was so terrified that she would make a mistake this morning but they had a reason to play as hard as they could and they had every reason to be happy for the win. Reaching down she pulled the note from its hiding place and kissed it before tucking it back away. It was good luck and she would so carry it ALWAYS! "You were just so....WOW! You did good and you are like the bestest in my eyes." Yes, it was decided! Lana wanted to be like Vashti day!

Relinquishing her hold on the Head Girl already, she moved to Spike and smiled brightly as she finally let him go as well. "Thank you. I was so nervous and worried before, but you all made me feel better and Ellie was there with us the whole time!" Her voice was always in her head anyway telling her to keep pushing harder for the sake of the team. They were a family and they fought like a family.
Catching sight of what just happened with Trav, she made a face and shook her head. She had said her piece with the meanie head captain and seriously she didn't have to defend herself to someone that couldn't clearly see that yelling was going to help the situation at all. She did really hope that all Lions weren't as hotheaded like that. The only other one she had met and talked to was rather nice and she did really hope that most of them were that nice and sensible.
Looking back up at Spike, she nodded. "We need to tell Ellie! I just hope that she is awake now." It was a miracle that they had managed to drag a majority of their team from their captain's bedside as is. Vindictus could handle whatever was needed there, they were needed up in the hospital wing.

Trying to avoid all the meanie head lions, Lana glanced over at the chaser and seeker that were not yelling at them. "You guys played well today, just so you know." she voiced. "I just hope that one day, I can play as well as some of your older players too." She had seen them practice from time to time and they were a good team.
Hearing the tiny voice of the seeker, she nodded and offered a tiny smile. "I'm sorry that you got hurt and I hope you get better. You are like a little red birdie up there when you play. I couldn't do that." She was so not seeker material at all, but this lion was and she did respect that.
Hearing the question about Ellie, she nodded again. "She wouldn't wake up and we are going to see her now and give her hugs." Well that was if she was awake and not mad at them for playing without her and all. "I think she would love gummy bears and maybe some gummy hearts too." Maybe she had some laying around still. "I'll tell her you sent her some if you want."
Glancing back at her team, she bit her lip and looked back at the seeker and the banner. "Don't worry about the banner. I'm sure it will be as good as new by nightfall," she offered with a tiny smile before she turned to run off with her team mates.

No?
Don't say what? About being let to play?
Vashti smiled a little. "I won't write to your parents, don't worry," she reassured her. She couldn't blame the Gryffindor for not wanting her parents to know about this. She too hadn't wanted to tell her parents too much about any Quidditch injuries her first couple years playing because she was sure they would freak. Anya's parents clearly weren't too different from hers in that regard.
She was glad to see that the girl appeared to alright...or at least well enough to sit up, though she hoped the other Gryffindors weren't going to let her go to the hospital wing on her own. It was doubtful they would though, considering how concerned they obviously were about her.
When Anya held out her hand, Vashti didn't hesitant to walk over and kneel down beside her, taking her hand. "You too. You were brilliant out there. I wish I had had even half of your talent when I was your age." Then she probably would consider a career in professional Quidditch. But as it was, she didn't have Anya's amount of talent, so she wasn't consider that as a career.
Then Anya was asking about Ellie being in the hospital wing. Vashti nodded to confirm that sadly, yes, Ellie was there. It was the only place she could really be though. Their Captain would never willingly not play a Quidditch game. Gummy bears though? "I'm sure she wouldn't mind some," she replied. She had no idea whether gummy bears would make Ellie feel better - perhaps the Snitch that Vashti suddenly realized she was still holding would help more - but it certainly couldn't hurt, could it?

When was the last time the two houses gave each other a gentlemanlly handshake? I can't remember. So maybe that's what I'm more upset about."
Thank Merlin Selina seemed to have calmed down a bit. She wasn't yelling anymore, at least. This was good.
Vashti wasn't entirely sure whether what Selina said about what she would do if the roles were reversed, but she didn't really have any reason to claim that was lying because, well, perhaps she really would have. Or perhaps not. Selina had believed her sincerity though, so Vashti would believe hers as well. So she nodded. The bigger issue was what Selina said next anyway.
There did seem to be a rift between all the houses when it came to Quidditch. It wasn't just in this game - it was in pretty much all of them. And Vashti wished she could claim that she had never been a part of or encouraged said rift, but she knew her competitive side got the better of her a lot of the time. It happened to many Quidditch players, it seemed. But that was no excuse.
"Maybe we could find a way to remedy that?" she suggested. They'd had that pep rally last term...but she wasn't sure it had helped much. She vaguely remembered most people still cheering for their own house instead of others or even Hogwarts as a whole. "Because it shouldn't be allowed to continue." She didn't have much time left at Hogwarts, but she would be more than happy to spend her last few months trying to encourage some unity within Hogwarts.

Though, maybe we could take the ripped Ravvie one as a souvenir? Like for the Celebration Party tablecloth or something?" Hehe. "You were still awesome though."
Oh Spike. Vashti couldn't help but laugh a little. "I suppose I could have," she replied, "but I was a little more focused on where the Snitch was going. If you wanted me to wreck a particular banner, you should have let it know. I'm sure it would love requests on where it should fly." Hehe. Silly Spike. She grinned. "And I guess you could keep it as a souvenir if you really want to." She, however, would rather the Snitch be her souvenir. "Thanks. So were you." Seemed he hadn't lost any of his talent while he was away from the pitch.

Anya nodded to Gideon. "Yeah. I'm sure." she said with a little smile. "Alec is probably already waiting for me. He'll make sure I get there." She had her best friend. So Gideon didn't have to worry about her.
Plus, Anya wanted the yelling to stop. And if that meant putting on a smile until they were done here. That was okay. She could pretend to feel better for a little bit.
She nodded as Selina approached. "Well enough." she said. She scooted away a little. The last thing she needed was Selina to share the puke. She was one of those people that got sick just from the smell.
She looked to the Ravenclaw called Lana and smiled a little. "Thanks." She giggled a little. Not too much. Moving too much hurt. "Hopefully one day I'll watch where I'm going better. Like a real birdie." She nodded. "I'll send her some then." she said. Or maybe they could share if they were both going to be up there.
"I hope so." she said to Lana looking up at the banner. She still couldn't believe she killed it. Poor banner. Maybe she could come fix it later. Once she was all better.
Then she turned to the head girl. "Or my brother?" she asked. If Carter found out, it would be even worse than her parents finding out. She shook the Ravenclaw's hand. "Thanks." she said. "Hopefully I get better when I grow up." She nodded. Gummy bears were officially perfectly acceptable to give the Ravenclaw Captain.
And now that the yelling was over... she could leave... right? She wanted to leave before anyone had the chance to see that it was starting to be really hard to control herself. Sitting there on the ground was starting to make her hurt more.
And with that... she started to half-stumble half-crawl off the pitch. She didn't quite realize that the locker rooms were so far away. They seemed relatively close on a broom.

He smiled as Anya stood up as though everything was better but now he had to focus on the injured teammate.

Gideon was glad to see that his sister backed down, not readily thinking on the fact that she was calm because it hurt to act out. He then noticed the younger Gryffindor boy had also came upon Kacie, helping to support her. The 5th year absently nodded his thanks as he listened to the girl answer his question.
Bludger...aye yes she had been hit early on.
He couldn't believe he had forgotten that fact, had seen it and been worried but she had gotten back in the game and he had been thoroughly distracted by his own efforts in the match. Gideon debated what to do for it could be just a bruise or something more serious. "Does it feel sharp...or more achey?" he asked biting his lip. "Perhaps we should have ye checked out as well."
August was angry too but Selina looked like she wanted a fight. He almost couldn't blame her. That match was pretty bad, not to mention the fact he was knocked from his broom (which he couldn't really complain it was a clean bludger shot) but the real problem was Anya was hurt.
He couldn't believe some of them hadn't even taken notice of this and were all too worried about their win and their chances at the Championship. He had heard that Claws adored Quidditch but was it really that bad?
Now Selina was yelling at their acting captain and then the Head Girl and at this point Auggie was ready to step in. It would not be good if fists started flying on the pitch, they would surely lose house points for that. But thankfully the words switched to a kinder sort and it looked like the confrontation was over.
He nodded curtly as a few of the Claw players congradulated them on a good game and then replied with the same. They had flown well, after all. But they had a hurt player and that needed to be taken care of.
"Hey guys, maybe we should take her to the Healer now?" he said to Gideon and Selina. Maybe he could get some cream for his chest too.

Kacie sighed with some relief when Giddy didn't look mad about her still playing whilst hurt. The last thing she wanted was him getting into trouble for not looking after her. "Is sharp bad?" Kacie asked, bitting her lip before adding. "Sometimes... depending on how I move, but mostly achey. I don't think I ever want to be hit by a bludger again." She said groaning the last part, but knew that it came with playing quidditch.
She nodded when Giddy suggested that she get checked out to, but was dreading the walk up to the hospital wing. "Can we go now?" The sooner they leave the sooner she could be healed.

Gideon watched as she sighed, waiting for a response to have some clue. Her answer gave him his own bit of relief for mostly achey hopefully meant no broken bones. "Not necessarily," he answered trying to assure her better then he had the other first year. "Well we certainly try not to," he mused sympathizing though he himself had managed it the last two games, his injuries from quidditch happened mostly that first game of the term.
"Aye we can," he replied ready to slipping his arm around her uninjured side until he remembered Jordan already there. Seeing as they all seemed to be settling down and Anya had disappeared with whoever was helping her it seemed like as good a time as any to take their leave. Turning, he lead the duo from the field, absently grabbing his and his sister's broom as they left.
