The Quaffle sails through the air and is caught by Spike Hutchinson . . . he tucks it under his arm and zooms down the pitch . . . Hutchinson dodges several Gryffindor defenders who try to block his path . . . he zooms past midfield Hutchinson passes to Lana Hyde . . . she makes the catch . . . EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Hyde ducks as the Bludger zooms past her . . . she zooms ahead . . . Travis Gordon and Indiana Hutchinson zoom towards the Bludger . . . Selena Skylar and Jordan Macey move towards it, too . . . all four Beaters swing . . . CRACK! Travis Gordon hits the Bludger and sends it directly at August Goldstein . . . SMACK! Selena Skylar retrieves the Quaffle and the Gryffindor Captain puts it back into play . . . her pass is caught by Kacie Gert . . . Gert tucks it under her arm and zooms down the pitch . . . she narrowly escapes getting tripped by Indiana Hutchinson . . . Gert reaches midfield and makes a short pass to Gideon Gert . . . he makes the catch and tucks it under his arm as he zooms ahead . . . Gert gets nudged to the right by Lana Hyde who tries to force the Gryffindor Chaser off-course . . . Jordan Macey swoops in and knocks Hyde out of the way . . . Gert dodges Travis Gordon who attempts to block his path . . . he enters the scoring area . . . Gert raises his arm and he shoots . . . THWACK! Maximus James reaches out and blocks the shot . . . Spike Hutchinson is on the edge of the scoring area . . . he reaches up and catches the Quaffle before the scarlet ball can pass the line . . . Hutchinson speeds down the pitch . . . he enters the scoring area and shoots . . . DING!

Professor Vindictus flashes a yellow card to the crowd and then turns to show it to the Ravenclaw Chaser. "Penalty on Spike Hutchinson for Cobbing!" he announces and makes a note of the time the offence occurred. He takes the Quaffle from Hutchinson. "You can't touch the Quaffle until it passes the line that marks the scoring area, Spike. Remember where you're at on the pitch at all times. Now get back into position."

Just as Vindictus instructs Hutchinson to get back into position, he notices that everyone is watching the Seekers.

It's a blur of blue and red as Vashti Greenwell and Anya Phillips chase after the Snitch . . . the hunt takes them speeding past Vindictus . . . they head towards the Stands . . . the Snitch finds an opening in the fabric hangings of the Stands and vanishes . . . Greenwell and Phillips follow . . . they vanish from sight . . . hidden from view, the Seekers dodge the wooden support beams . . . both maintain their focus . . . Greenwell and Phillips inch closer to the Snitch . . . both reach out . . . Greenwell bursts through the blue and bronze hangings on the Ravenclaw section . . . CLANK! THUD! RIP! Phillips hits a wooden beam and tumbles out of control . . . a rip appears in the Gryffindor hangings . . . Phillips dangles for a few seconds on the ripped fabric before hitting the ground with a soft thud . . . oblivious to the fate that has befallen her competitor, Greenwell comes to a complete stop and thrusts her fist into the air . . . Vashti Greenwell has caught the Snitch.

"RAVENCLAW WINS!" exclaims a jubilant Vindictus. "Ravenclaw advances to the Quidditch Cup Championship where they'll face Hufflepuff for the second time this season!"

As soon as she realized the Snitch was in her hand, Vashti was barely even half aware of what was going on around her. Because surely this was a dream. She couldn't possibly have caught the Snitch. She'd never played this position before, whereas the Gryffindor Seeker had been playing all term. So surely Vashti only had something that looked like the Snitch, because there were lots of things lying around the Quidditch pitch that looked like it, right? Yeah? Maybe? No?

But...

She lowered her fist, still hovering on her broom where she had stopped, and just sort of stared at the little golden ball in her hand, as if trying to comprehend its existence.

Gideon had had to fight with a few Ravenclaws, the quaffle secure in his arm to head to the goal hoops. He nodded his thanks at Jordan as the younger lion swooped into help before speeding off the final few feet in the air. Aiming, he sighed as his shot was diverted but his attention was pulled as an eagle tried to play off the rebound. Thankfully Vindictus was on his toes and blew his whistled penalizing him.

The crowd around them had suddenly gotten louder and it could only mean one thing...the snitch was almost caught. Gideon leaned around turning his broom trying to spot where the two seekers were. He spotted them by the stands just as they swept between the fabric hangings to be momentarily hidden from view. When only one emerged covered in blue, the chaser couldn't help but wonder and slightly worry where Anya was only to spot the young girl hanging off the fabric.

Without even thinking much, the fifth year headed off to move closer to Anya as if to try and catch her, but he was too far away and she tumbled to the ground a few moments after he moved. Gideon quickly continues on though rushing towards the ground and landing once he was close enough.

It didn't matter much that they lost, just that they were all alright. "Anya..." he called as he walked closer to where she had landed. "Ye okay?"

August was getting really tired of missing these Quaffle shots. He was so close yet he kept missing them--just barely. Why on earth was this happening, last term he had proven that he could do this so what was the deal this time?

As he was busy fuming to himself the lion failed to see the bludger that was barrelling right at him and was hit right in the chest and plummeted to the dirt below. He just layed there. The wind was knocked out of him combined with the fact he had no idea where his broom had landed.

The whistle blew somewhere nearby. They lost.

Bloody freakin' brilliant.

The lion stood up and looked around, taking off his Keeper's gloves to rub the spot on his chest that was surely brusing.

Where was Anya? Gideon was over by the stands and...the girl was laying there. "Oh no." As if he needed something to make this match even worse. He walked quickly over to check on them, trying to catch his breath on the way over.

Jordan grunted slightly as he instinctively crunched into the Ravenclaw player, knocking them away from Gideon. He carried on moving, acting as the older lion's shield for the time being and watching anxiously before groaning as the shot was deflected away from goal.

His bat firmly in his grasp, he began to chase after a bludger to send at the Ravenclaw seeker, but the crowd's increasing excitement and cheering indicated that there was a chase for the snitch going on. He watched, cheering Anya on, as the younger girl was propelled into the Gryffindor hangings and onto the ground. He watched as the Ravenclaw seeker punched the air, the snitch into her hand.

Ravenclaw had won. Damn.

Jordan darted to where Anya was sat, Gideon was already there, he bought himself to a stop and jumped from his broom. He landed painfully unfortunately, but he didn't care... He had made the quidditch team and he had had the time of his life! "You guys had such a good game!" he grinned at them, "You okay Anya?"

They'd wooonn! They'd wonnnn! They'd wonnn!! Indiana was pretty happy, and beamed as she dismounted her broom. They'd won. Elllie would be soooo proud. And she hadn't gotten hurt this time. That was seriously cool. Getting hurt last time had really hurt. So she was glad she hadn't got hurt this time. But yaaay. They'd won. And Spike had been playing too. And they'd won. They were going through to the championships. That was going to be so much fun. Yaaaay. Indiana dropped her broom onto the floor gently, before having a little dance around it, clapping her hands. Yay yayy yaay. She was really happy. And there was no need to go up to the hospital wing this time, but she probably would anyway. To see Ellie. And tell her the good news. Yaaaay. They could celebrate noww right?

As soon as he swung his broomstick around to knock the quaffle away from the hoop, Max’s attention was drawn to Vashti and the little Gryffindor Seeker's pursuit for the snitch. He leaned forward on his broomstick, peering in the distance to see what was happening… AHA! Vashti burst through the fabric with the glittering object in hand! He was off like a rocket in her direction, his smile growing.

Though thoughts of visiting Ellie came flooding back to him, he had business with their star player first. “Vash,” he called, on the ground running toward her and wrapping her in a brief, tight hug. “You did it! Boy, the title of Best Seeker in the School wasn’t enough for you, eh?” he laughed. “Ellie is going to be very proud of you - I'm proud of you, too. I mean, everyone is. You were great!”

Anya had her eye on the snitch as she and the Head Girl raced to catch it first. She was vaguely aware of fabric and stands... but not aware enough...

She collided with one of the beams and felt herself falling. She squealed and flailed for a split second before her hand desperately grabbed onto the fabric of the Gryffindor flag. After several seconds dangling in the air she completely slipped.

She hit the ground.

She lay on her back on the ground for several seconds. She blinked. OH! She was alive! That was good...

Her eyes scanned the banner she tore. Whoops...

Then... Gideon, August, and Jordan all appeared. Was she okay?

She sniffled from her spot laying on the ground.

"I... I... hit something." she said sadly. "And I fell." She sniffled once more. "AndIbroketheflag." she said with her eyes starting to water. She was in trouble, wasn't she? She could... she could make a new one... right? And just be in detention forever.

"And my arm kinda hurts..." she said in a small voice. She wasn't sure if it was because she hit the beam... or because she was dangling from a banner with it... or because of how she landed.

Right now... she was more concerned with the fact she broke school property.

And just like that the game was over. Selina had seen some pretty dirty games in her life, but Ravenclaw was in it to win it. The rough housing was a little out of control, and Casey proved that when he got his penalty. The now-blonde gryffindor Captain was about to yell across the field at the Claw to keep his hands in check, but then the whistle was blown and the game was over. What else could she do? Her team had played their best and their best was bloody brilliant. She was so proud of them and everything that they had accomplished this season. Honestly, she could not even believe that they had advanced as far as they did, but Selina was a little hard on her team. She expected a lot of them and they delivered more than she ever could have dreamed. They worked hard, they were good looking and took the whole sport seriously while not being pricks about it. All-in-all it was a good term.

But then her eyes caught sight of Gideon who had suddenly bolted across the field to a very crumbled form on the ground. Finally, when her blue eyes focused to the face of the injured, it focused on her Seeker, poor little Anya Philips.

...

That. Was. It.

There was NO WAY they were going to get away with hurting her Seeker. Anya was very dear to Selina's heart and she had promised Carter that she would keep an eye on his baby sister. She had broken her promise when Anya's body hit the cold, hard ground. There were some words that were going to be exchanged and someone had best get her bat OUT of her hand before she did something rash.

Without saying another word she gripped her bat tight in her hand and her usual sarcastic, warm blue eyes narrowed into cold, dark slits. People had best restrain her now, because no one hurt an eleven year old the way they had just hurt Anya!

"Ravenclaw!" Selina said at the top of her lungs, "Who hurt my Seeker?"

... she could care less that they lost. When they hurt the Seeker.. things got personal.

Spike pouted at the yellow card. He'd just a bit excitedddd. It'd been wayyyyy too long since he'd last been on the pitch, and he'd seen the quaffle and wanted in! Ah well, he'd still had a pretty good game, and might still get some more yet.

And then, as he turned on his broom and leant forward to get moving again, he saw the seekers head on into the fabric hangings. He strained to see what was happening... And then out of the Ravenclaw banner...came a Ravenclaw, snitch in hand!

WOOT!

Speeding to the ground, Spike had a massive smile across his face as he looked for the other 'Claws. Indy had already landed, and he smoothly jumped down next to her. "Smooth moves," he commented on her dancing with a small chuckle and bounce of his curls. "And nice work up there." He winked, and wrapped his arm round her shoulders. Yay, Hutchinson sibs!

"Hey, Vashti...nice work. Shame about ripping our banner though, huh?" He laughed. "And Max, awesome job infront of the hoops."

Gideon noticed both Auggie and Jordan join them on the ground, the older boy just then rmemebering the former had also fallen. Though at least he looked a little better to wear from the slip off his broom after the bludger hit. No doubt feeling it later, as Gideon certainly knew how it felt to be hit like that.

He couldn't help but wince when Anya spoke of hitting something, figuring it was a support beam and not a nice soft item either seeing as where the seeker had been. The fall had been evident enough as well as the flag ripping, the boy nodding in understanding on what had transpired. But then she answered his actual question with soft spoken words and that was when the fifth year's worry was made more profound, the boy placing down his broom and kneeled on the ground beside her.

"Can...can you move it...even a little?" he asked trying to think of what his grandfather might ask to judge the situtation. The first response he got however was the familiar voice of Selina yelling, obviously upset with Anya's injury by the opposing team. Gideon shook his head, fighting the urge to step in and try and calm her down, but his focus was on the injured girl in question, awaiting a reaction.

Oooh. Spikey was here. Indy beamed, finishing her little dance around her broom, and picking it back up. "My moves are awesomee." Of course they were. This was obviously her victory dance. Now they just neeed to win the next game and she could do it again. Yay. "You tooo...." Indy giggled, grinning up at her big brother. "You know....apart from that yellow card." That hadn't been too good. But oh well. They'd still won.

"And we wonn! And it was our first game together!! And we woon." And yaaay. That was cool. Andd lookie. Vashti and Max were here too. "Well done guys." Could she hug Max too? Maybe their keeper could have a hutchinson sibling hug? That would be nice.

But....then the Gryffindor Captain was kind of shouting at them. "Spikey...." The second year kind of hid behind her brother a little. "Why is she shouting at us?" You know. The ravenclaws?
