With Jinx still playing with the quill, messing up the whole drawing, the third year still glimpsed out the window, not really looking at the landscape, but more like staring blankly at it. She had heard footsteps approaching the compartment, but didn’t mind to look. The train corridor was really crowded with students so meh… She honestly didn’t care who came in, just not…
‘Zeke’, she said, looking really puzzled at the Gryffindor. Out of all the places… out of all the compartments he came here?, the third year thought. Even though what he said next would have normally made her even more upset, the young Ravenclaw laughed. It is funny because it’s true. She would have definitely said no. ‘Hmm?’, she mused, finally managing to draw her attention back towards Zeke. The view? She hadn’t really been looking at it. ‘Umm… yes?’, she said, grabbing the quill from the cat’s paw.
‘How have you been?’ See? The beginning of a totally normal conversation. She could TOTALLY be nice. ‘Didn’t choke with anything at the feast?’ Errr… or maybe NOT.
Whew. Zeke was slightly relieved she didn't make a remark at all at what he was wearing. Or was he getting ahead of himself? Maybe she would later...well, hopefully not. He smiled a bit as he heard her laugh but then wondered what was so funny. Deciding he couldn't take not knowing he asked anyway, "What's so funny?" He wondered aloud.
And now he was grinning. 'Finally. She was kind of beginning to be nice,' or has he thought too soon. But decided to take her comment lightly. "I've been great," he said, relaxing in his seat even more and added, "Me? Choke? You must be kidding. I would never choke." Some other person maybe, but not him.

Even though she had noticed him wearing a tie and all that, Gwen wasn’t particularly curious why. Erm. Perhaps it was because she really didn’t care. Mhm. She then grabbed the quill and started drawing a few lines, covering up the mess created by Jinx. In the meantime, the black cat jumped off the seat and started walking around the compartment, finally returning to his seat beside Gwendolyn and looking curiously at the other person.
‘Funny?’, the third year repeated, not even minding to raise her eyes from the notebook. You are, she wanted to reply, but even she knew it wasn’t true. It was just… the situation. But, deciding that it might take way to long to explain herself and yada yada yada, Gwendolyn was determined not to say anything at all. Something she had promised to avoid doing. Hmph.
She stopped drawing and tapped the quill against the notebook pages. Gwen wasn’t very interested in drawing landscapes or static nature, she preferred things like portraits. ‘No such luck’, the girl replied curtly. Him choking. As she looked back at her drawing, Gwen remained quiet for a moment. Let’s face it… nothing will come out of this, she told herself and, still looking at her notebook, the girl extended her hand to pet Jinx, but only hit the seat. Where is he?, the third year asked herself and scanned the place, finally coming across her cat, which was now next to Zeke, trying to get his attention.
Why? Why was the cat being nice to Zeke?‘Jinx’, Gwendolyn called, seriously hoping that the hairball wouldn’t be nice to him. Na-ah. No chance!, she thought, but wasn’t really right about this.’Soo…’, the third year started saying, still tapping the quill against the notebook, searching for something to draw. ‘What are you up to?’

He was hanging on to her word. Was she not gonna tell him what was funny? Oh well. Zeke let the subject drop as he occupied his attention to what Gwen was holding. He looked at her notebook. What was she drawing? Zeke tried to get a better look of what Gwen was writing, or drawing. "You really want something bad to happen to me, do you?"
But he was distracted as he looked at the cat's eyes. Probably it was Gwen's. The cat was looking directly at him. Whaa? Blink. Ohhhhh. It was nice. Zeke smiled at the cat and began to stroke its fur gently. Good cat, nice cat. Unlike it's owner. Bleh.
When Gwen finally noticed it and called the little fella by his--or her--name, Zeke repeated it in his mind, 'Jinx.' And there he wondered what this girl was thinking when she named the cat. But still by the name, he couldn't determine whether it was a girl or boy. "Erm, nothing much," Zeke said, looking up again at Gwen. "Planning to make a short visit to someone special when I get back home."
Laura found an empty compartment, her first year had gone by quickly and now it was time to head of home, Laura just hoped that her mum and dad didn't ask too many question about what had happened this term, because well she wouldn't know what to say, though at least her and Lana had made it up at the end of term feast.

Hm? Was she alright? Evelyn looked up, a little surprised. Did her face show how nervous she actually felt? Erm.. "I'm fine. Just a little exhausted, that's all." Anyway, she didn't want to talk about her weird family problems with Sammy, as nice as she seemed. "How have you been?" Evelyn asked, with a small smile.
OH. Well that would make sense. Sammy was always exhausted after the End of Year Feast. Mainly because she'd left all her packing to the night before and she was usually one of the last ones to leave the Great Hall because there was always SO MUCH FOOOOOOOOOOD. Letting all go to waste just seems like a crime to her. "Oh, that's good then" she said happily. Then adding "but bad ... well at least you're not unhappy" how to be smooth: a guide by Sammy Star. Moving on.
How had she been? Great. Hadn't Evie SEEN the amount of food she had been allowed to eat last night? "I've been awesome. Apart form the whole, I'm getting really old now thing" she said. Yeah, well at least she was going to be two years older than her sister for about a month. That was always fun. Especially when she used it to pick what tv show they were going to watch. "Are you looking forward to going home?" she asked. You'd hope so, but also not. I mean, don't newer kids always want to go home more than the kids that have been at a school longer? That's how it worked in movies, didn't it? Oh gosh, Sammy didn't know.

"Well then just act normal around him. I bet he misses having you as his friend. As for your feelings, just take it one day at a time. And speaking about Messer, he must be psychic or something, because here he is right now." Alyssa smiled as she looked up and saw Messer poke his head in.
Adeline shrugged. "It's easier said than done." she frowned. It was horrible. Just horrible. How was she going to get through this? It would be just difficult. Adeline turned her head. "Oh."

Zayden was completely lying down on one of the two seats in the compartment, staring up at the ceiling, as he listened to the train moving down the tracks. With every little bump the train made against the metal, he could feel it against his back. This is what he disliked about trains; it was never a smooth ride for him! Neither were muggle cars.
At least it was a good thing he didn't get motion sickness. Easily, at least.
He closed his eyes for a brief second, allowing everything to go pitch black, as he imaged getting home. He imaged walking through the doors of the coffee shop, going up the stairs to the right, and opening the door that was the entrance to his house. There was no doubt in him that his mother hadn't cooked up a nice traditional Scottish dish because she did that every time he came home for summer.
Oh, he was happy to be going home.

Amelia sighed as she rested against her fiance. More like nuzzled into him. She wished that he would reciprocate because she was incredibly bored with him just lying on the bench! There was a 'Do Not Disturb' sign outside the compartment door and the promise of snuggles. He was not delivering!
With a sigh, she nuzzled into him more and kissed his cheek. "Zaaayden.".

"Baby cakes." He kissed her forehead now as he wrapped one arm around her.
His sweet beautiful baby cakes.

Mmm. That was much better. A smile planted itself on her lips as he put his arm around her. Yes, this was definitely much better. She snuggled into him more now and then pouted. "You aren't really going to miss Hogwarts, are you?"
But then it was a little different for him. He might have loved Hogwarts, but he had only gone there for two years. She had for seven. She had attended Hogwarts for longer than she knew him; she knew the school for longer than she had known him.

Lana safely made her way toward the front of the train and looked for Laura. She hadn't expected it to be as hectic as it was boarding the train, but she just guessed that everyone was overly excited to be going home for a bit. Passing a few compartments, she noticed some sad students and she felt sad seeing a few people as well. It was her first year, but there were faces that she wouldn't be seeing next year and that made her sad.
Poking her head into a compartment, she was welcomed by the sight of her twin and smiled. "Laura! I found you!" she giggled as she plopped down beside her. "I was almost afraid that I was going to lose you in all the people outside." Mummy and daddy wouldn't be happy if they didn't show up together once they arrived back in London.
Their first year was coming to an end and it had been a rough once, but at least they were together again.

Zayden hadn't expected his fiancee to ask him a question like that. Honestly, he hadn't expected to be asked a question like that by ANYONE.
Using the arm that was wrapped around Amelia, he played with the hem of her sleeve as he looked at the compartment door. He casually watched as students walked passed as he replied, "It was a great place." He wasn't going to deny that. Hogwarts had given him some pretty darn good friendships with people like Ellie Johanson, Dallin McKinley, Alyssa Potter, Jasper Somerhalder, and Adam Burn. It had also given him some drama with Chandler Montague and his girlfriend, and even with his own fiancee.
"All in all, I am glad I came," the Scottish continued after a moment of silence. "I wouldn't say that I'm not going to miss it, but I'm ready to move onto bigger and better things. I'm ready to attend University and get a medical degree." And most importantly, "I'm ready to live my life with you outside of Hogwarts."
He smiled now.

Amelia nodded now. She knew that he was glad that he had come to his place, just like she had been. "I suppose I might be ready too." But in reality she wasn't too sure. They would be living in an apartment that could be only described as a dump. In the ghetto. For someone who was used to having a lot of the things she wanted in life, it was a bit much.
Isabelle walked into the front of the train wearing the same crazy sparkly outfit she had worn when she first had came to Hogwarts this year. It felt so weird to be going back home for her final time, even though she wasn't even going home at all. She couldn't wait to see her best friend Marie, who she hadn't seen since summer. And now they were going to be living together in London, it was just so exciting.
Sighing Izzy sat down in an empty seat and began to stare out the window humming to herself.
Adeline was deep in thought when someone started to open the door. Who was it? Oh didn't the call him Messer? That was his last name right? But what was his first name? Eh she didn't know at all. Adeline looked at him and nodded.
"Sure come on in, it's only Lyssie and I." Adeline blushed.

Alyssa smiled when the younger Huffie poked his head in."Hi Messer. Sure come join us. You know Adeline right? If you don't, now is the best time to say hi."
"Umm..Thanks." He closed the door before he took a seat. Finally he got himself a compartment.
Oh he's right. Her name is Adeline. "Yeah. We've met before. I think back at the house table." A very long time ago. Not that long but..Oh well. But no harm done by saying hello again, right? "Hello." he greeted his fellow firstie with a curt nod. "You're a first year too, right?" He rarely seen her around but he's pretty sure that Adeline also a first year.
Then the young badger' gaze went from Adeline to Lyssie. "Hey, Lyss. I heard you're one of the students who collected most house points."Yes? No?"Congratulations. You must be very proud of yourself." Earning 1000+ points. That's just WOW!

"Yeah, it was at the house table like in the beginning of the year." she nodded. "Hi." she smiled. "Yes I am. Soon to be a second year." she grinned happily.

Almost a miracle, it was, to find one empty compartment when they'd been on the train for so long. Or not that long, but long enough for everything else to be filled with students and more students.
Only a couple hours before he was officially OFF his Head Boy badge, even if he'd given that up after the feast.
But now, there was only one thing that mattered. And that thing wasn't even a thing, but a person, whose hand he was holding as he opened the door and went inside, still checking to see if perhaps it was occupied but left unattended for a little...but...no...it was really empty.
His smile widened. "This will do, right? There were too many cats and Kneazles back in there." The Prefects Compartment. And there were only TWO cats and ONE Kneazle...but hell was bound to break loose if Walnut got in the least offended.

She couldn't have been more pleased to leave the Prefects compartment. Especially with Walnut there. He was truly an evil cat and Ellie didn't feel comfortable in the least around him. So...leaving, and with Treyen, was very nice.
"It's empty?" She raised her eyebrows. That was...surprising, yeah? But very good. They didn't have to kick little firsties out that way. Which Ellie wasn't against, really. Might as well milk Treyen's badge for all it was worth while he still had it. But...this was much better. Nicer. "Perfect," she grinned, following the Head Boy inside and closing the door behind her.
"There really were." Too many felines. "I don't like Kurumi's much, either. Given what happened that time." Thankfully, she hadn't seen the cat since...until today. She was much more looking forward to seeing Little Professor's kitty in a few days. THEY had never been so RUDE to anyone as Walnut had.

Not that she was spoiled. Honestly. :/
Zayden, who stopped playing with them hem of her shirt after a little while, began to twirl Amelia's beautiful blonde hair around his index finger. "I'm also really happy that I came to be with you," he added as an after thought. Truth be told, he was actually a little bit sadder to have left his old school than to be leaving Hogwarts right now. It might be because he had been at his old school for much longer. "If I hadn't of come, I wouldn't be graduating with you right now." He kissed the tip of her nose now.
He twirled her hair some more. "Look at it like this, cupcake, you... you did great stuff in this school. Heck, you were even on the points board! SECOND on the points board." He was soooo proud of her because of that! "I know it's going to be hard to be leaving everyone, but you know you're still going to see them sometime. We can even go to Hogsmeade to see people. I told Lyssie I'd visit her at Hogsmeade if she came back next term." And he was keeping his promise!
He scratched his nose with his free hand now before adding, "This is just the beginning for us. Hogwarts..." Meeep. He lost his train of thought for a second as he watched his cat stare at them now from the other side of the compartment door. CREEEEEEPY. "Er." Where was he?
"... I'm hungry."

Mmmhmm. Yes. Entirely empty. Only now it wasn't so much, considering they were inside.
'Perfect', she says. And he couldn't help but smile on his own as well. So, basically, this compartment was theirs, and no one will be interrupting them, correct? Slightly wrong, which is why he even made sure the glass on the door was covered with its shutter so no one would even dare opening turning the knob to open this door. He even leaned against the closed and covered door as if that gesture would earn him the solitude he'd been seeking.
Granted, he got what he wanted.
Treyen only gestured for Ellie to come closer and he leaned against the door even more. He'll take a seat soon, by the way, but now guarding the door seemed like thing to do.
By the way..., "I'm not going to talk about Walnut." Whatever the cat had done was in the past, and it's not like Treyen believed he didn't really deserve something similar....just not something as extreme as what he tried to do. "I'm more than willing to discuss you," he said, even if she wasn't particularly fond of that. Though, she seemed to like being called 'perfect', which was both unexpected and a very nice surprise.

There was a tiny smirk at his actions. Shutting the window's shade. Leaning against the door. And gesturing for her to come closer. Of which she obliged, by the way.
Okay. That was good. Because she didn't want to talk about Walnut either. Nevermind that she'd brought him up. Treyen was the one that mentioned cats. She was simply rolling with it.
"Me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Ellie didn't think she was really worth discussing. And, admittedly, it kind of worried her. They would probably start arguing if they talked too much about her. And she quite liked the excellent mood she was in. Unless the good mood would make arguing less likely.

Why, of course Ellie would say something like that. And Treyen merely chuckled after wrapping his arms around her. "You, over Walnut or any other cat, of course." So, there was no real preference, or so he wanted her to believe.
But no, they weren't going to discuss her either. In fact, they weren't going to discuss anything at all.
"Actually, I just want us to spend the couple hours we have left on this train...together...without interruptions." That's where the secluded compartment came in handy. In all honesty, once they arrived at the station, they'll go separate ways, for weeks, which didn't sound too thrilling for him now. But those weeks will go by so fast that he wouldn't notice them, right? That's what he was counting on.
Still, she was free to visit that favorite Professor of hers as long as he, Treyen, wasn't around. These weeks served her well, apparently.
Anyway, "I never did thank you for my gift, did I?" he asks, the biggest smile possible plastered on his face, "I loved it, by the way." But she was probably expecting that. That he'll like it. "Thank you," he simply says, as his arms bring her even closer for a kiss.

Oh.
His positioning surprised her, not that she let it show. But she hadn't expected him to drop her hand, and wrap his arms around her. She liked it, sure, but it wasn't what she expected. Just when she thought she'd had him figured out, too.
But, really, Ellie didn't want to have him figured out. So there was a smile on her face.
Also, she was very glad he'd rather her over Walnut, even if it was just about conversation topic. She didn't need to feel like she had to compete with cats, along with pretty girls, for his love.
The Captain bit on her lip and rolled onto her toes for a brief moment. "I like that plan." Of course, she was always up to spending a few hours with him, uninterrupted. But now more than most, for the obvious reason that she wasn't ready to not see him for a few weeks, yet.
The gift. He must be talking about the book, right? Because he'd thanked her for the card already. And those were the only gifts she'd given him lately. "I'm glad," she said, balling her her hands into fists and resting them on his chest as she rocked forward again to kiss him. She pulled away fairly quickly, though, to say, "You're welcome."

Of course she liked his plan. It wasn't something he knew, though, because her mind was quite changeable on some things, but he suspected she'd want some alone time with him, especially after spending too much time in the crowded Prefects Compartment.
So, perhaps she was only glad she was away from it, more than their time together, after all, she was incredibly excited to be headed back home. More so than in previous years.
It was all bittersweet to him, but sweeter since she gave him the card.
When she pulled away, he suddenly remembered the one thing he realized when he was finally free to open the gift back at the Common Room, "Now I know why you didn't wrap it...or why you acted so strange around it." Then WHY get him books, Eliana Stone, if you cannot stand the sight of them. No, wait, not just the sight, because she'd only known a book had been in that package, but still. "Whose idea was it?" The book. It was surely her mother's.
But it was perfect. A perfect gift. Always. Ellie knew what to get him, whilst he found himself in trouble for not knowing what to get her. She was a tricky one. Or since she only liked Quidditch, and hated books, it made it extremely difficult for him. Hence why he really wasn't too fond of getting stuff from her. He didn't know how to return it.
