After being wandering around the train, Nikolas finally found an empty compartment and took a seat beside the window looking at the station and waving back at his family. Except his sister who was very annoying and was actually glad to not see her until Christmas. Nikolas wondered where Jade was, but guess he would see her later...hopefully.
He was glad to go back to Hogwarts but at the same time he wasn't ready to go back to studying and homework, anyways he already miss his friends and was ready to see them again.
When he leaned forward Selina leaned her back up against the back of the chair. What in Merlin's name did he think he was doing? He was a little too close for comfort in her opinion. So when he egged her on reveal her true opinion of him she rolled her eyes, "I have no problem with you per say. You just have a lack of personal space." Then he backed away and she let out a sigh she did not even know she was holding. Merlin he needed to observe the whole concept of space.
Brazil. That was interesting. She knew that Hogwarts was a world wide institution but she had never met anyone who was from Brazil before. That was interesting, "That's cool. And I'm from England. Grew up right outside of London to be exact."
A beater? Oh there is no way she would trust someone like him with a beater bat. He was way too impulsive. "I hang out with my friends and thats about it. I mean Quidditch is kind of my thing. What about you?" Besides harassing other girls he just met.
"Oh now you're just paranoid. I didn't invade your personal space. The moment you leaned away you created your personal bubble. Also, seeing that we are on a train personal space becomes almost non-existent. But by the end of the year you will like me." Grayson said with a sly smile since he made a logical point.
He nodded as she spoke. "That sounds nice. I guess you're not far from home then." he said.
Looking out the window as he remembered his days on the pitch as a beater. He was rarely beaten except for the bludger that hit him and he was unconscious for a week."That's nice. Maybe we can hangout sometimes too." he replied with a warm smile.

He was frustrating. Everything he said frustrated her beyond a shadow of a doubt in her mind. Maybe it was because he was wildly logical or maybe it was because he was wildly cocky. Whatever the reason he was not doing well in her books. She just wanted to have a normal conversation, but it seemed with him he would not let her have a normal conversation. Everything was so blunt to the point it was obnoxious. Ugh, he was going to be one of those people, "Well I'm sure I'll like you as a person, but if you are insinuating liking you in another manner... you're mistaken."
She tried to let his comment roll off of her shoulder and replied, "Yeah not too far. But with apparation the world is kind of small to a wizard." Her parents could always come to Hogesmeade if they wanted. Not that they ever did, but they could.
Maybe they could hang out sometime if he calmed down with his attitude. He seemed nice enough under all of his smirks and sly smiles. If he learned his place in what their friendship could be, if they ever got to be friends, then she would not mind hanging out. But his lame attempts at flirting had to end, "Yeah I would like that, Grayson."

Not right now at least. However any ideas of the distractions taking over his brain had immediately disappeared as soon as he noticed Stella hauling her trunks inside the compartment, well it seemed as though he had gotten far too distracted by his own thoughts to have forgotten to help his girlfriend. Though that never meant that he still couldn't help now, he set his sketchbook down and grabbed the trunks; slowly he lifted them up above the seat and made sure that they were stable enough in the rack since the last thing that he wanted to have happen was them falling. That would not end well at all. "Well.. I didn't want to be considered lazy after all, lifting a trunk is no different than a box; well it is a bit heavier but it's the same idea of course." he replied before picking up the sketchbook and handing it to her, he had known long by now that she was going to wonder what he was drawing this time and it wasn't exactly like he had had a problem with it anyway. "Is it just me, or does there seem to be more transfer students here this term?" Obviously he had been curious since between more younger students and the fact there were not a large number of people graduating, it seemed rather strange to him. Maybe it was a part of what was happening this term. Soon enough though, he'd know for sure.
Stella couldn't help but smile as Matt stopped drawing long enough to boost her trunks up into the luggage rack, even if it had been followed by teasing about the summer and when she'd bothered him about using magic when she'd helped him move. "Thank you. I'm pretty sure my trunks were heavier than any of those boxes, though," she pointed out. Plus, she couldn't deny that it had been nice seeing him work. Kind of like back at his apartment, which she apparently couldn't stop thinking about. It wasn't really annoying yet, but she grinned as he silently had handed her his sketchbook once he'd sat down again. Glancing at the pages, she distracted herself for a moment before she'd heard his next comment. Looking up, she shrugged. "I don't think it's just you. I've seen a lot of people I don't recognize, and they're not all first years," she replied. At least, she was hoping they weren't first years, because that would mean first years were looking older than they should.
She flicked through a few more pages of the sketchbook once she'd spoken, then handed it back to him. "You know I think these are amazing. Even the unfinished ones," she said then with a smile, before leaning forward to lightly kiss him on the cheek. "I wouldn't worry about there being more transfers. If there weren't transfers, I wouldn't be here, remember?," she whispered. Even if there were more than usual, although she had a feeling there weren't. She knew of several from last term, after all. So maybe the ones this term were just more obvious.

"It's not that long when you fell asleep," said Erin. It was probably a few minutes? She was staring at her for a few minutes - she was sobbing, yes - and then she drifted asleep. That's the time she allowed herself to enter the compartment, se didn't want Alyssa getting caught crying and then she needed to explain herself. What Erin wanted now is peace and quiet and tranquility.
"No, it's okay," Erin smiled. She was feeling a little nice today. "Tired? Why'd you didn't sleep much last night? Are you excited?" she asked. Erin wanted the clock to go on a fast pace last night just to get away from that lonely house of hers.

His eyes drifted over to her as he watched her cheeks turn pink. He couldn't help but smile softly at her reaction, and the hair twiddling was incredibly difficult to ignore. Kat had always looked pretty but getting older was definitely doing her justice. And despite the fact Bradley could tell that it was her after seeing her properly, there were a few things that were different about her, she was only 13 since they last met after all. "It's okay" he chuckled, glancing at the dog in her lap. More like a bit of cotton wool then a dog but who was he to speak? He had a bald cat for goodness sake and one that practically thought it was human. "Thanks" he mirrored her smile and glanced down at his lap. He had never been a great conversationalist. He was quite a nervous person at times.
He thought back to the football incident. It had been such a shock to see the ball suddenly fly across the room when Bradley had been thinking about playing. He wanted to get the ball but typical teenager, couldn't be bothered to get out of bed to get it. And suddenly it was by his feet, waiting. If he hadn't of seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed it. "Apparently. It ain't no big deal though right?" Because people could easily catch up on what they missed. "Yeah" he admitted shyly. "I ain't really sure what to expect" It could be drastically different from the muggle world or there could be tiny little changed. "I hope I will. I think I will" provided he had people there to enjoy it with. Which he obviously did have now. Though he relied on independancy at home and it was something he treasured. He hated relying on others.
"Yeah. Yeah I know" he smiled nervously, looking out of the window as the train pulled away. He didn't realise how much he loved the people on the estate until he had moved away and barely seen them. And the Broadmoor family were some of those people. "I've missed you all" he admitted staring over at his cat. His old mates would probably laugh at that statement and the expression on the boys face but he knew Kat wouldn't. She was the sweetest girl on the entire estate, one of the sweetest he had ever met.
"Thanks Kat. I appreciate it" he smiled genuinely. He really did. "How bouts we start with a tour when we get there?" his lips fell into a tiny smirk. It would come in useful in case he got lost.
The cat finally decided to make a move as she jumped off the seat and stared at the dog in Kat's arms. "Don't mind her. She's a bit weird but really friendly" The cat purred, wanting the attention for herself. "I think sometimes she thinks she's a dog or a human. Ain't a normal cat, I'll tell you that" But Bradley adored her.
Katrina's cheeks began to cool a little and she managed to return her eyes to Bradley's and she smiled softly. He didn't say an awful lot, but that ok with Kat. People spent far too much time talking about nothing half the time. Kat couldn't really remember Bradley being the shy, retiring type, but then she didn't really hang around with her brother and his mates. She was much more self contained and quite content with her own company. She had an inkling she could be quite unintentionally irritating at times as well with her childlike enthusiasm for the world.
Kat's gaze drifted away from Bradley and outside at the movement of the train. She took a deep breath. This was it. There was no turning back now. It was a good job her mother had already gone or she would probably be in floods of tears right now as she waved to her. She was going to miss her so much. She swallowed, choking back the urge and looked back at Bradley when he spoke, pleased for the distraction of his company. She found a smile had plastered itself on her face when he requested reassurance from her. HER. Katrina wasn’t exactly the brightest spark. She shrugged her shoulders and giggled. “It might not be for you.. buh.. I ain' that quick to learn.” She confessed openly and honestly. “I fink if you can do muggle science an' maffs an' can remembah facts and history you'll be fine.”
It was very different from muggle schooling in Katrina's experience and it wasn't just because of the magic. “It ain' noffink like state school.” She told him. “You want for noffink. There's always food and warmth and...” Her eyes widened once again. “..It's SOO posh, Bradley! I sometimes feel a bit, like, out of my depth there.” She looked down at her lap. Oops. She was supposed to be being a comfort here, not putting Bradley off. “Everyone's dead nice mostly.” She added with a nod.
Bradley did seem terribly nervous. Katrina suspected even more nervous than herself. It made her warm to him more. He didn't act all tough and scary like the boys on the estate. Had he ever been like that? She couldn't recall. “Oh, we missed you too, Bradley.” She replied brightly.
The bright smile on Kat's face grew at the prospect of showing Bradley around the school. “Ooh.. I'd love to.” She nodded. “The grounds are like noffink I'd seen before. A huuge lake and mountains and there's this tree that tries to bash you wiff it's branches if you get too close!” Like, WOW! O___O . Kat had forgotten just how amazing the school was before she started enthusing about it.
So that bald thing WAS a cat! *giggle* Katrina didn't want to ask for risk of looking stupider. “She's so adorable.” Katrina said, looking at the shaven animal. She giggled as it stared at Fluff who opened one eye and looked at the odd creature before closing it again. “She's so different. I ain' never seen a cat like 'er before.” She giggled at the creature, reaching out a hand to tickle her behind the ears.

As the train began to move, Bradley could tell from the look on Kat's face that she was upset. His face fell slightly as he instinctively reached out to touch her hand gently, unsure of how to comfort a girl. He was slightly upset too, he hadn't left his family in a long time and he was definitely going to miss them but he wouldn't let it show. This was a new window opened in his life and his expectations were overpowering his sadness. He took his hand away quickly and placed it under his chin as he leant against the window. Apparently the journey was long and he was grateful for the company.
His eyebrows furrowed slightly as, although she giggled, Kat was starting to put herself down a little. "Then we can learn together" he suggested, smiling slightly. "I ain't gonna be that good but.. It all helps." And he would quite like a studying partner that he new reasonably well. He didn't like relying on others and at least with Kat he could try to help back. "I was pretty average in school. Didn't do brilliant but I ain't stupid either" he confessed. He was quite comfortable with where he was. He'd been certain that he'd be able to pass his exams but then again, he wasn't going to get all those A*'s that were needed for University. Though his plans for the future were uncertain.
"You ain't gonna be able to get away with anythin' here are you?" Not like his old schools. The teachers were fairly relaxed and the students spent half of their time finding ways to play up rather than actually learning. It became a big distraction but in Secondary school it had mellowed. Food. Now that sounded great right now. His stomach rumbled at the thought of it. A sandwich or two would go down easily at this point. "Posh?" he frowned a little but that was exactly what he was expecting. The students he had heard on the platform had sounded well spoken and from rich families, he could tell that he was already one of the minority. "Kinda figured that" he smiled weakly. "The people I've met so far have been dead welcomin'" he nodded. And that had been a good start to his experience.
His eyes drifted back out the window as London started disappearing from sight. That was it then, he would leave his home city to go to somewhere he knew little about to learn about something he knew next to nothing about. "Really?" His eyes lit up at her statement. "I'm sorry I didn't visit you lot. Couldn't really get away" he admitted.
"Great" the fourteen year old reflected her bright and enthusiastic smile. Truth was that he wouldn't want anyone else showing him around. That would mean relying on someone else and at least Kat he could trust she wouldn't get him purposely lost. "Sounds a bit violent" he chuckled at the thought of the tree. This magical world was incredibly weird with all the screaming jelly babies and grumpy trees. "But at least I ain't gonna be lost for space for playin' a bit of sports" he smiled. If he ever got bored he'd play football on Clapham Common or engage in some tennis in the summer months. Hogwarts would be a good spot to perfect his skills.
The cat sat herself directly next to the dog, staring down at it intently, claiming herself as being of higher status than the poor fluffy animal. Bastet didn't have a care in the world, a dog could try to have a go at her and she wouldn't move. Brave to someone else, stupid in Bradley's opinion. "Yeah she's quite unusual. Wanted somethin' different. Bored of all the dogs around. She thinks she's a dog most of the time" Followed him around when they were out. The cat purred as she was tickled behind the ears. "She's a Sphynx. Born without any hair. Never grows it. I didn't shave her like most people think. That's a bit cruel" And despite his upbringing, Bradley didn't have a cruel bone in his body, not anymore anyway.

Hannah was not one for long goodbyes. She hugged and kissed her parents goodbye and climbed aboard the train. She peeked in and hoped to find a familiar face or even a new one.
Eliza watched a new girl, who looked like she was a first year too, climb onto the train. She wanted to ask her if she wanted to join her but she didn't want to seem desperate. She might finally admit she was a little nervous. She looked arounf the compartment and finally settled on a seat by the window so she could watch her parents, no doubt conversing with some rich, old time pure-blood family.

Now carrying a couple Chocolate Frogs and a bag of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Vashti quickly made her way to the place where she was supposed to meet Anakin. "Hey you," she said when she reached him - and for once, she didn't poke him.

Hannah looked around and noticed another girl around her age sitting alone. In fact this girl even looked familiar. She couldn't be sure though because she had seen so many people while she was shopping in Diagon Alley.
Not wanting to have to go all over the train looking for a spot she decided to see if the seats next to the girl were taken. "Hello, do you care if I sit here? she asked.
Melanie boarded the train and slipped into the compartment where her luggage had been stored. It was, for the moment, empty. She settled into one of the window seats and placed her cat's cage gingerly on the floor. Hopefully whoever she'd be riding with, because she certainly didn't want to ride alone, wouldn't mind cats so she could let him out during their journey.
Leaning back in her seat, she sighed as she gazed out the window at all of the students saying goodbye to their parents. She wished someone had been able to come see her off, but she was trying not to be bitter. It wasn't their fault, after all. Turning her eyes away from the sickeningly heart-warming sight, she watched as students walked past her compartment door, hoping someone would stop and she wouldn't have to be alone in here much longer. It was far too easy to think herself into a nervous wreck in all this quiet.
Isobel felt kind of bad; she was making Isabelle feel all sad. She wanted to change the subject now; to something cheerful. Maybelle was there; so that should help. Maybelle was always cheerful; and made the entire mood cheerful. "I grew up in France, spending summers here with my family." She had never been particularly close to her foster parents, but she loved her foster siblings to death. "I am going to live in France after graduating," Isobel said thoughtfully. "I want to be a soccer coach for little kids." That would be the awesomest job ever. Well, she would need another one because that one wouldn't pay much...or anything.
Isabelle smiled as one of Isobel's friends came and joined them. "Nice to meet you Maybelle. You can call me Izzy, if you want," Isabelle introduced herself, it would probably be weird for Maybelle to be talking to Isabelle and Isobel, Izzy would just be a little easier.
Listening to what Isobel said Izzy said, "I love France," to her it was probably the best country in the whole entire world. England was probably second best, but you couldn't get better than France. It was pretty amazing. "Soccer looks cool, I've never played it before. I've seen it a couple of times though with my sister," Isabelle replied, it was one of the fun things in the Muggle world that she did with her sister. "I'm sure you would be a great coach."

"Sure, I'm Eliza by the way." She told the girl. She actually looked quite familiar. Either way it was good because she didn't want to sit here all by herself. "Are you a first-year too?"

He doesn't look like it...Anyways, that would be cool. There's no fun at Hogwarts if don't do something mischevious every now and then.. she thought and laugh a little.

"Well, at times." Logan said smiling. He then dug in his pocket for two chocolate frogs. "Want one?" he asked her.

"The names Hannah. It's nice to meet you as well." This sure beats sitting by yourself Hannah thought. "Yeah this is my first year." she said. "Are you looking forward to the sorting?" because she sure was. She wondered what house she would be placed into. One thing is for certain if she was placed anywhere other than Slytherin her parents would most likely disown her.
