Paulie grinned even wider when she mirrored his own. It was delayed, though.. hers was. And she didn't even give him a glance until he kicked her foot. When she returned the question, he smiled a bit and rolled his eyes before sliding down the wall and sitting beside her. "Oh, ya know.. the usual.. just 'hangin' around.'"

He took off his snapback hat, which he had been wearing backwards because it was cool, and replaced it upon his head so that it was, for the most part, facing front again. Otherwise the beak kept hitting the wall behind and that would get annoying fast.

"Really, though," he said, setting his elbows on his knees and letting his hands hang between them. "I haven't seen you in forever. Like.. haven't talked to you properly since last term." Certainly, she had some catching up to do with him.

The blond couldn't help but grin up at him. After all, they had been super close last year. Honestly, she felt bad that she had lost touch with him, even if it was for a short period of time. He deserved better. "Oh? Hm. I think i've heard that somewhere before." she rolled her blue eyes. "Someone's quite the mimic, i see."

Her gaze fell on his hat as he took it off and put it back on, watching with curiosity. "Nice hat," She offered, staring at it as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She wasn't all that into hats, but she guess that Paulie was.

Was he getting all serious now? That was different. But she shrugged, not really wanting to talk about her summer, so instead she kind of played it off, "Oh nothing, really. It was pretty um.. boring. Uneventful." Not really a lie, but not the entire truth either. "How about you? I've heard things. Actually, i heard you got detention a little while back. What's that all about? Decided to be a bad boy, eh Paulie?" She giggled.

"Someone's quite the mimic, I see," Paulie imitated, screwing up his voice to make it have a higher pitch. It sounded nothing like Brooke. He chuckled then, and dropped his head a moment. "Okay, I'm done with the mimicking."

Oh! She liked the hat. "Really?" He smiled widely, glad that she had approved. After all, Brookie seemed to be pretty 'in the know' with fashion, so if she liked it, he was solid. "Thaaanks. If my mum were here, she'd be goin' crazy about me wearing it inside." Hats were becoming his new phase.

Uneventful? Paulie gave a very un-subtle eyeroll at her response. "Since when did you become so boring?" He hoped this, at least, would elicit a more detailed answer from her. And, way to go, changing the subject! Evasive. Verrry evasive. He gave a curt laugh, though. Detention. "What? Don't think I can be a 'bad boy,' Brookie??" He said, with a poke to her side. Becoming more realistic, however, he went on. "Yep, I did. I got it all for the wrong reasons, mind you. Wasn't all that bad - just cleaned some slime off the walls and.. made a poster." A posted that, of course, wasn't up to par for that Hadley woman.

The girl giggled some more as he tried to mimic her. Though she was pretty sure that she didn't sound anything like that. "I don't sound like that!" She slapped his arm lightly, for good measure of course. "I don't mind, really." It didn't bother her.

She smiled softly, and nodded. "Of course. I don't say things I don't mean." She nodded soem more for emphasis. Of course she liked it. It was... different. Like a baseball cap, but there was something different about it that she couldn't quite place. "Oh gosh. You mum must be like mine. She's very.. old-fashioned i suppose." As was her father, but she wouldn't get into that now.

Brooklyn shrugged again, not really sure what she could say to that. She had become pretty boring and she did admit to it. "Since.. summer," She answered vaguely, wanting to skip this part entirely, and just focus on him, and his new 'bad boy' status. Which made her giggle silently. "Well.. Oh, i don't know. I suppose you can, though.. I've never really pictured you as the type. You're just.. Paulie." She shrugged. For her, it was hard to describe other people. They were them. Simple as that. She squealed as he poked her side. It was ticklish. She nudged him with her elbow in return.

"Oh? I heard someone was getting pretty close with a girly in the library." Her eyebrows wiggled. "Snuggled close and all that. I even heard you snogged her." A smirk appeared on her lips. She was sure this was a rumor, but who really knew? Plus, she liked teasing people. Especially Paulie and Charlie. Blink. Blink. "Wait. You had to make a poster? What does that have to do with anything?"

James Humming COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. HE WAS DOWN TO HIS LAST CHOCOLATE FROG?!?! He shoved the precious chocolate into his backpack, trying not to sulk. SO unfair. AND he was getting bored of wandering around Hogwarts trying to find someone to talk too. He sat himself down onto a stone bench (which was very cold by the way) and sighed, leaning against the wall. Should he have his chocolate now, or later? It was veeeeeeery tempting to eat it noaaaaaw but what if he wanted it later? Atleast he had his berty botts every flavour beans in his bag. Mmmmmmmmaybe he ate too much sugar?

Evelyn had been roaming around Hogwarts for almost two hours now and she was tired. Yeah, it would be nice if she could just sit down for sometime before she headed towards the common room. The sixteen year old slowly walked down the corridor, when she noticed a stone bench..and there was a guy sitting on it. Heh. She made her way towards the bench and gave a small smile. "Erm...do you mind if I join you?" Even if he did mind, she was going to sit down anyway.

He glanced up at a timid voice and smiled. "Uh sure." Why not? He stifled a yawn. Why was he so tired? Probably from all the stupid studying. Normally Ravenclaws liked that but come on. His O.W.Ls were over so you would think that things would be even a little bit easier? The sixteen-year-old grinned and held out his hand. That's what you do when you meet someone new, right? "Uh hi. I'm James." Should he add his second name? Probably not. It didn't reeeeally matter did it?

Evelyn immediately plonked down on the bench. Walking up early and wandering around the school for hours was exhausting. She probably even looked horrible. Her hair was messy and her dress was a little crumpled. Uh. It didn't really matter. She was way too exhausted to even bother about her appearance. When the boy introduced himself, Evelyn smiled and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, James. I'm Evelyn Wellington. You can call me Eve, though."

He smiled. "Same to you, Eve." James dropped his hand after shaking hers and fiddled with a hole on the hem of his sleeve on his robes. He really needed to get new ones. Ah well, when he would be able to go Hogsmeade he'd buy some in Dervish and Banges...and maybe buy some more chocolate frogs... He should probably talk to Eve. But she looked very tired and to be honest, he was wrecked himself. But, ya know, he kinda wanted to talk to someone who seemed relatively normal...after everything with Enya. "What year are you in?" He vaguely thought he'd seen her around before but she deffinetly wasn't in his house.

Evelyn shifted her hair to one side before she started to run her fingers through her it, hoping to straighten it out. Yeah. James might think she was really weird but she honestly didn't care. She just wanted her hair to look good.

"Sixth year." Evelyn smiled. She thought James looked to be around her age..or maybe even a year older. Definitely not younger though. "How about you?" Maybe talking to this guy would make her feel better..or rather, less tired.

What was she doing with her hair? It was kinda nice messy, a break from everyone's attempt to have it absolutely perfect. Still, it was okay striaght too. Heh. He didn't really care 'bout girls' hair. Why was it so important for it to be amazing? Why did they put so much effort into it?

He smiled. "Me too." James ran a hand through his messy hair. Maybe he cared more about his look then he let on? Studying so hard and caused it to be so horrible. And lack of sleep. That also caused the blue circles under his eyes. Maaan he was tired. - que stiflled yawn - "Uh, what house are you in?" 'Cause if she was a sixth year, she deffinetly WASN'T a Ravenclaw.

Ugh. Evelyn looked slightly annoyed as she pushed her hair back over her shoulders. She couldn't get it straight so. whatever. She gave up. She leaned against the back of the bench and sighed. It felt nice to just relax..especially without anyone shouting and screaming nearby. The common room was always noisy so she preferred to wander around the school.

Ah. Evelyn was right. Her eyes were on his face..a really tired face. "Um..are you okay? I mean, not that it's any of my business.." Evelyn thought she was drained but this guy looked worse. "Hufflepuff." She was a proud Badger. "You?"

"Just..." Should he tell her? A complete stranger? "It's fine. I shouldn't bother you with my troubles." 'Cause she probably didn't care about some random guy in the corridor's problems. She was just being friendly. James shrugged and leaned back against the wall, playing with the hole in his sleeve again.

"Ravenclaw," he smiled at her. Ravenclaw was awesome...most of the time. The common room kinda sucked. Like, if someone was to play exploding snap in it, you'd probably be kicked out. Do people need to study all the time? It was ridiculus.

"Well, you aren't going to bother me if it makes you feel any better.." Evelyn smiled. She really didn't mind if he wanted to talk about his troubles. She liked to listen to people. "Although, if you don't walk to talk, that's absolutely fine." Obviously, they hardly knew each other and he might not want to talk about whatever was bothering him.

"Well, that's good. I suppose you study a lot.." Ravenclaws had brilliant minds, didn't they? Frankly, she didn't envy them at all. How could anyone like to read all the time? It did sound boring.

Hmmmm. She seemed nice enough. "They're just silly little troubles. Like how I'm running out of chocolate, or family issues." He grinned. "Lack of sleep is probably the main thing." James shrugged. Wasn't that big of a deal. But the fact she offered was sweet. Maybe sweet enough to be offered some of his berty bott's every flavour beans.



UGH. Studying. "Not really, I'm not a HUGE fan of studying." He fake grimaced and shivered in disgust. It just took up his time. He had a photographic memory anyway so there really was no need to study. "Scratch that. I hate it."

Running out of chocolate? Evelyn couldn't help but give a small laugh. "Are you serious? That's a trouble?" As for family issues, her smile slowly faded. Huh. She definitely knew about family issues. Um anyway.. "I haven't been getting any sleep either. I've been staying up late and waking up early. Homework and stuff." She gave a small shrug. "It's tiring." Yawn.

Her face lit up with a smile again. "You know, I don't really believe that. You're a Ravenclaw after all." Ravenclaws loved to study, didn't they?

He attempted to keep a straight face...and failed. "Yes. It is a very serious issue! I'm down to my last chocolate frog!" How could she laugh at this? In fact, there probably should be a fondation or charity for these kind of things. "Tell me about it." He rolled his eyes. Why would teachers give so much homework, knowing that they'll have to correct all of it.

He grinned. "Well, it's very very true." He sighed. What was about studying he hated? "I have a photographic memory," James tapped his head. "No need to study," He shrugged in slight annoyance.

Gosh, he was actually serious? Evelyn started to laugh again. "I'm sorry." Her laughter subsided to a grin. "I mean, I wasn't really expecting to hear that.." She bit her lower lip to stop herself from laughing again. "Yeah..I have so much to study. I'm like literally going crazy." Evelyn was a little frustrated. She ran a hand through her hair again, messing it up more.

"Wow. It's surprising to hear a ravenclaw say that he hates studying." Evelyn grinned, "A photographic memory? That sounds...awesome."

James laughed momentarily then focused on keeping his serious face at her expression. "You should be. Insulting chocolate like that? How dare you?" He teased, acting like he was shocked. "Hurumph. HAVE YOU NOT TASTED CHOCOLATE BEFORE?" Like c'mon, she obviously hadn't - otherwise she'd have known that running low on chocolate was a huge issue. "I know. It's driving me insane." He was about to run a hand through his hair when she did the very same...he didn't want to look like he was copying her. NOPE.

He sniffed. "Meh. I liked it at first but now it's all too much," HE WAS GOING TO HAVE A MELTDOWN SOON. "Yeah, it is. A real catch." He smirked. 'Cause having a photographic memory was gonna get him a girlfriend.

o_O Before Evelyn could stop herself, she started to laugh again. "I'm not insulting chocolate at all.." Evelyn managed to get the words out before she giggled again. "It just amuses me that you were so serious about it." Okay. Seriously, she never knew that guys could be obsessed with chocolate. Huh, weird. As for the question.. "Yes, I have and I love it." Not as much as she loved cakes though. "Although, I don't eat it frequently as I'd like to." Oh, yeah. Studies. "I've been studying more than usual so yeah..it's..crazy." Making up for those lost points was hard. Sigh.

"I'm sure you're doing better than me anyway." As far as homework was concerned. A catch? Evelyn gave a slight raise of her eyebrows. "Well, I suppose I'm a little jealous." She definitely could do with a photographic memory. Not that her memory was exactly bad. Heh.

"Yes you are and I take it as a personal offence!" James teased, struggling not to laugh. "Why would it amuse you?" He widened his eyes giving her a very innocent look as though it completely confused him that she would think it was funny. He snorted in amusement. She obviously hadn't tried to the right kind of chocolate. Was it weird how much he like chocolate? o_O "I thought it'd be slightly easier when the O.W.Ls were over..but sadly no..."

"Probably," he teased. "You should be," he grinned and pretended to dust off his shoulders, a smug smile on his face.

"Personal offence? I would actually believe you if not for the fact that you're going to burst out laughing any moment." Evelyn grinned. Honestly, this guy was easy to talk to. Thankfully. It felt nice to chill out with someone after the whole lobalug business. As for WHY it amused her, "Well, it's just that..erm..I've never known guys to like chocolate so much." A small giggle escaped her lips. Ah. "I'm new so I'm still getting used to the studies and stuff here." Frankly, she wasn't used to so much of studying.

"Probably, eh?" Evelyn responded with a grin on her face. She punched him lightly on the shoulder. "Wow. You're too full of yourself."

Aaron sat down on the floor and looked around, not quite sure why he'd come all the way up here while all he was doing was drinking Dr Pepper and trying to get his owl to do a backflip.. He watched his owl hop around on the floor and called Oliver the owl over for a cookie.
'Once we've got you doing backflips we should get your sea-legs ready, for when me and Laura build a boat.' Aaron decided.
That also meant they would need pirate costumes. Which he would gladly make. Aaron frowned, he needed his sister to discuss their awesome plans RIGHT NOW.

Laura came running upto Aaron with a mischieves smile, she had brought two girls Pirate Outfits with her that she had made, hopefully no Professor would come and see what she had, she had worked hard on them but well she had no idea how to make a boy's pirate outfit.

Laura came to a stop at Aaron and giggled. "Here's your Pirate outfit for you, I made it myself." Laura was hoping Aaron wouldn't be mad. "Do you like it, I'm going to ask the muggle Professor if she can tell me what wood is best to use next time I see her."

'IMMACULATE TIMING, LAURABEE.' Aaron called out when he spotted Laura running along the corridor.
He climbed to his feet to inspect what Laura had brought along, but once Laura handed one of the things to him Aaron saw what it was. Aaron eyed the costume carefully... a girl costume? 0___o
'A giiirl costume?!' Aaron asked and pouted. 'I will make you look bad if they see us wearing these!'

Really though.. girl?! He was up for wearing costumes, since he did that half the time anyway, but a GIRL pirate? That was not happening any time soon. 0_0
'I'll change it into a boys one, I thiiiink!' Aaron nodded and searched his pocket for his sewing gear. 'WILL BE DONE IN NO TIME!'
So they were really gonna build this boat. SCHWEET.
'Ooh, yes! I'll ask my uncle about what kind of stuff we need for the sail.. I could PROBABLY do that. Right?' When it came to costumes Aaron was quite alright, but making a sail was a bit different, probably..
But really, all it involved was some sewing, Aaron thought and nodded to himself.
'We will need a fridge.'
