Making her way to the food trolley, Sky tried to decide what candy to buy. She hated Every Flavor Beans because when they said Every Flavor, they meant EVERY FLAVOR. She still remembered the horror of her fifth birthday, when her aunt had thought it'd be a great idea to bring her a bag. Of course Sky, being the candy lover she was, had dug right in. Unfortunately, the first bean she'd picked up had been vomit flavored. Needless to say, she'd been embarrassed in front of all her party guests. So, Every Flavor beans were out. Maybe a nice chocolate frog…
While she was trying to make this very important decision, she'd unknowingly (to her, anyway) started to hum. Outloud.

Well looky here, Kimalia was one of the early ones in line for the food trolley, which meant tons of first access to all the sweets. Hmm, looking thoughtfully taking a few licorice wands, chocolate frogs, and gum before paying for it. "Hmm, anything you like Erin?" She was in a charitable mood.. for now. "Oh, they even have sugar quills!"

Erin do love Kimalia as much as she loved her bestfriend Beezus, one because she likes sweets too, two, they both have gorgeous hairs even if Kimalia's was slightly in advantage than hers. Did she undergone a hair re-bonding? And third, she was so giving, it may be in terms of money or food or even a compartment to share. Eeeep!
"We still have our trunks with us and here we are, lining up for the food trolley!" Erin exclaimed. "I always love licorice wands!" Yes, that was her most favorite of all but then, she also wanted all of them, the sugar quills, the chocolate frogs, pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes and even the Bertie Botts's Every Flavored Beans that she failed to like last time she boarded the Hogwarts Express.

Kimalia laughed, "Of course, we need our luggages to help stock up for the term." Grabbing a handful more of sugar quills she put the already purchased sweets in one of her bags. After all they never said there was a limit to how much one could buy off the trolley and if there ever was, they sure would be missing out on some profit. "Today is and will be a good day.." Paying once more for some of Erin's Licorice wands, she went to get another set of chocolate frogs when she heard a distinct humming from an unknown girl.

While she was trying to make this very important decision, she'd unknowingly (to her, anyway) started to hum. Outloud.
Handing the purchased licorice wands to Erin, Kimalia tapped on the humming girl's shoulder. "Are you trying out for the choir?" Peering over the girl's shoulder she saw some chocolate frogs, "Or just bored?" She barely got a glimpse of her face before stopping to look again. "Oh, nice seeing you again um..." Yeah, that happens, Kimalia recognizes what people do but not on their name and this one was one of the stinkbombers from last term. "well," chuckling softly, "outside the study tables last term from during that.. smelly incident." Taking a sugar quill from one of the bags that she already stuffed some sweets in, she handed it to her. "I'm Kimalia, and.. other than taking this, your name?" Yeah, she was in a real giving mood, first day back from her busy home can elevate one's happiness.
And now that the nice gesture was done, Kimalia turned back to Erin again, "You all set there?" Considering the amount they purchased, some hungry people might want to buy some sweets off of them instead now. But Kimalia had some plans with the extra sweets.

Okay, yes, Kimalia gave her licorice wands but she really wanted more, like all kinds of sweets in front of her. She was actually a sweets person. "Thanks for this," said Erin holding up the licorice wands the older Slytherin gave her. When they finally evacuated the food trolley since there were still others who might want some sweets too, Erin noticed Kimalia talking to a Slytherin girl her age, she was actually Erin's batchmate. "Oh I know you. You're Sky!" said Erin. Yes, the one she met at the Room of Requirement who for some weird reasons she really found bossy, but she did considered her as a friend.
"From the room of requirement? Last term?" she added, when she saw that the girl, couldn't comprehend who she was. "Erin. Me. Don't you remember?" She wished Sky did remember her. The memories of last term swirled in her mind, the tunnel, the giant clock. That was actually a great adventure for her extremely boring first year.
Chris walked to the food trolley with Angie right behind him and said, "Here it is! Why don't you get something first, I still don't know what I'm going to get..."

"Hmm, it's quite difficult to pick... Let's see... I'll definitely want some chocolate frogs. And I can't pass up Bertie Bott's... I think I'll get some of those and then liquorice wands and pumpkin pasties. Sound good? I'll share," Angie said, half to herself and half to Chris

"And I'll get a boatload of Chocolate Frogs and we can trade cards!" Chris was really looking forward to this... Sitting in their compartment eating their sweets together...

Angie was really looking forward to it, too... She grabbed as much chocolate frogs as she could, then some of the other three candies she wanted. This may be a problem... she thought as she fumbled around trying to also get her money out. Ah, how awkward Angela is...

Sky jumped when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She'd been so focused on deciding what sweets she wanted that she hadn't even been paying attention to what was going on around her! Turning to the person who'd been trying to get her attention, Sky saw a girl she'd seen around. And why was she asking Sky if she was trying out for the choir. Had she been humming again? "Didn't know Hogwarts even had a choir. But no, I'm not trying out," she answered.
Listening to the rest of what the girl was saying, Sky cringed. People still remembered that?! And here she'd turned over a new leaf. Or been scared into turning it over anyway. "Um… yeah. But I don't really do stuff like that anymore," she said, smiling.
And then Kimalia offered her a sugar quill. Ah, that was nice! "I'm Sky. Nice meeting you," she responded, taking the sugar quill. "Thanks!"

It was then she realized who the girl with Kimalia was. Erin! "Yeah, I remember! Sorry, I just zoned out for a moment there," she replied, blushing. Yeah, that tended to happen when she was trying to make a decision. The zoning out, that is. It wasn't something she was proud of, since it made her seem like such a ditz, but… that's the way she was. "Nice seeing you again!"
Then Sky turned back to the trolley and saw… that a lot of the candy was wiped out! "Whoa, when did that happen?!" she asked Kimalia and Erin. How long had she been zoned out?!

He saw the lady walk by with the food trolley and excused himself to catch up with it. Caring for an upset bird and a restless dog was tiring him out, not to mention its making him twice as hungry given the hour.
What he saw on the trolley made his eyes light up. It was everything that his grandmother forbade him to eat unless it was Christmas or his birthday-- and they were even heavily moderated. He reached out for the cauldron cake, stacking two in his hands, then grabbed a handful of the chocolate frogs and stuffing them into his pockets. His free hand started to hover between the jelly slugs and the licorice wands. Oh which one to get first???
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

Choir? She didn't know there was a choir too in Hogwarts. But she felt like, Kimalia was just saying that to compliment the girl. She had a... well, acceptable voice. But if there really was a choir in Hogwarts, then Erin better grab the chance to audition. She loves singing so much aside from playing the violin. "So, is there some kind of a Glee Club in here Kimalia?" She was so excited to know. Since, Erin was just a first year last term and an incoming second year now, there may be some things she may not know yet.
When Sky finally addressed Erin as someone she knew, she said, "Nice seeing you too!" and then hugged Sky tightly. "I really had a good time last year because of that. Probably one of my unforgettable adventures in Hogwarts."
Oh! Sky was right, sweets were slowly disappearing. There were truly so many sweets people in Hogwarts, Erin should start stocking sweets or there's nothing to be left for her. She couldn't deal with that. "Lucky us, we got here first."

Despite always having a batch of cookies with her for the train ride and then another batch for the feast, it never felt like the term was starting properly unless she had a few licorice wands and pumpkin pasties. She should probably get something chocolately for Jonathan as well while she was here.
Kurumi leaned over the trolley to check out everything that was there and not really paying much attention to everyone else that was around and began to reach for the licorice wands when her hand bumped into someone else's. "Oh, s-s-s-sorry," she stammered now looking up to see who the hand belonged to. "I didn't see y---Vickers?!" Kurumi could hardly believe her eyes. She had thought that maybe his transfer paperwork was never going to go through judging from some of his letters to her since they had met in New York two summers ago. She walked around and sort of moved like she was going to give him a hug but then didn't because she had some things in her hands and he in his. "I'm so glad to see you!"

Was that a food trolley?! Did they actually SELL CANDY on this train!?
Lewis stood on tiptoes to see over the crowd of students around an old lady selling...candy. And other food-related stuff. Okay, now they train ride could last a little while longer - still, not TOO long. Getting in line - or at least he hoped that was the line - Lewis glanced down at his feet to make sure Vanilla was still there. She was. And was already sprawled out across the floor next to him.

Bastet had obviously smelt out food from halfway down the train because Bradley had found himself chasing the cat back down the corridor to end up directly next to the food trolley. But food was most welcome and one glance at the treats and the boys tummy rumbled. He glanced at what was there, cakes and jelly babies? He bought a packet of the jelly babies, expecting a normal tasting strawberry or orange to be met with an absolutely disgusting flavour he had no idea of. The fourteen year old swallowed quickly, shoving the jelly babies in his pocket reminding himself not to waste his money on them again. Instead he bought a cake and a chocolate frog which seemed slightly more muggle. Until the frog hopped away and he scrambled to catch it. "What the heck is with this place?" he asked slightly frustrated that he wasn't able to get anything remotely 'normal'.
He turned, about to walk away when he found his bald cat prodding an overweight animal with her paw, his cat obviously wandering what on earth it was. He tilted his head and picked her up again. He noticed the male with the animal, older than himself he assumed though Bradley looked very mature for his age. "Sorry about her. She's a bit weird" he apologized and then looked at the food on the trolley. "Are you buyin' that for your cat?" he joked. There was no denying that, that cat was very well fed.

Kimalia covered her one hand over her mouth to discreetly giggle at her jumping. "Well, you never know." Shrugging, if there could be secret duel meetings, why not a choir. "There are some musical-oriented folks around here.." Then she saw her cringe before answering, "Well, that's good to hear, should make it easier to win another house cup." Though Kimalia had a slightly higher priority with different cup.. "So if not choir," Checking around to make sure not many others are watching, before showing her new captain badge that was discreetly pinned inside her jumper. "how about trying for the Quidditch team?"
Oh goodie, Sky took the quill leaving Kimalia nodding at her thanks in approval. And then the exclaim.. Which made Kimalia smile a little mischievously, "I'm sure it'll fill up again," Hey, it was bound to happen that one would almost own the cart.

Kimalia saw that Erin did know Sky, "Oh cool, you both know each other." And now about the choir thing. "It's possible.." Kimalia thoughtfully answered, "Since we do have a Hogwarts anthem to sing." Not to mention certain people talented, if Lola Jones weren't in America she would ask her but oh well.. "Yeah, last term had such a long queue."

After what seemed like forever it was finally almost Lewis' turn at the food trolley. Only two more people in front of him were left in the line. If only he knew what to get. Everything looked so delicious and he could really use some sugar in his system. Maybe the woman had those funny hopping gummy bears or whatever they had been called. Hmm.
Vanilla was rolling onto her back because it was SO MUCH MORE comfortable with her belly exposed like that. Yes, it was. Purring softly to herself she looked up in surprise when she felt somebody or something...poking her. OI! Half-rolling back onto her side she looked at the other cat and...gave its face a lick. Hello!
Lewis hadn't even noticed the other cat's - or its owner's - approach, he was way too focused on decided what to buy. Which was why when the boy suddenly spoke to him, he jumped a little. Just a little. Erm."Oh..that's, uhm-" What was he talking about?! It was only then that his eyes fell on Vanilla...and the other cat - was it?! - with her. "No worries." He finished quietly, his eyes still on the two felines on the floor.
He followed the boy's gaze, clearly confused by his next question. Why would he be buying sweets for Vanilla? "I...err, no..why?" The fact that there were quite a lot of people around him and one of them was even TALKING to him made him a little nervous.

Bradley decided to have another try of the jelly beans and was incredibly thankful when a delicious tasting one came straight out the packet. What were these flavours exactly? A right old mixture. Deciding that he wasn't going to risk it again, he shoved them straight back into his pocket. Every Flavour Beans, they weren't kidding there. He moved away from the trolley as to not cause an obstruction, he didn't want to make enemies on his first day or be a nuisance.
Bastet stared in disgust as he was licked in the face, Bradley couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction as she just sat there, staring down at the overweight creature. She continued prodding continuously, unsure of what to make with this greeting. Usually they ran away from the bald animal, she was very different after all but this one? Didn't look like it could move anyway.
Bradley smiled friendlily at the boy but turned the smile into a frown at his reaction. Was someone already thinking lowly of the London lad? Yes he sounded different and was half as wealthy as most of the kids at this school but couldn't he be given a chance. But he figured he was nervous, or shy and Brad could completely sympathise with him. He too was nervous and although he hardly ever showed it by claiming he was an independent soul, he was also shy. "She's a bit forward. Thinks she's a dog" he laughed in an attempt to make casual and friendly conversation.
Did he not notice the size of his own cat sprawled across the floor? "I.. I was jokin'" he stuttered, frowning in confusion. "Your cat.. He's a bit-" he paused trying to think of something as to not cause offense. "Round?" Tubby. On the large side? Yes he had a cat that was a bit different and so did this boy, they should be able to make conversation pretty easily.
Leaving her trunk and cat at the crowded compartment, Louisa felt her stomach growl a few more as she made her way to the food trolly. Few galleons and a few Sickles were in her hand, clicking and ringing as she waited patiently in line.
Seriously, those ickle students should make room for the fifth year students such as herself. Weren't OWLs enough as a pressure to be patient about? Yes, she was going to take advantage of that this year as long as she could. Hehehe.

Lewis watched as Vanilla tried to catch the other cat's paw softly between her own. Unfortunately, it seemed the other one was way faster than she was. But she usually didn't give up easily so either the other cat would finally grow bored and leave or she would finally succeed in catching its paw.
Looking up just in time to see the boy frowning at him, Lewis immediately averted his gaze again, towards the food trolley as if there was something REALLY interesting there. Well, actually there was but you know. At the boy's comment, he did however glance back at him, a look of surprise, wonder and just a hint of amusement on his face. "A dog?!" The cat didn't have a fur but apart from that...why in the world would it think it was a dog?!
OOOH! It had been a joke. "Right. Oh, yeah, she is." Lewis wasn't sure if it was too late to laugh now, so instead he just smiled at the boy slightly. Then because it seemed the boy was indeed trying to make conversation here, he added, "It's really my fault too. That she's-" How had the boy put it? "-a bit round." And it totally was.

Seriously, those ickle students should make room for the fifth year students such as herself. Weren't OWLs enough as a pressure to be patient about? Yes, she was going to take advantage of that this year as long as she could. Hehehe.
Upon leaving the prefects' compartment, Vashti decided to make a quick stop by the food trolley since it was right there in the front. Might as well get some snacks while she was up here, right? Right. She could bring some to Anakin too since she was supposed to meet him near the front. He probably wasn't too far away from where she was now, in fact, but as far as she knew, the candy was closer, so that was where she went first.
Of course, there were already quite a few students getting candy too. Hopefully she wouldn't have to wait too long. Maybe there was someone here she could talk to while she waited...
"Louisa!" she said, smiling as soon as she spotted her friend.

Angie was really looking forward to it, too... She grabbed as much chocolate frogs as she could, then some of the other three candies she wanted. This may be a problem... she thought as she fumbled around trying to also get her money out. Ah, how awkward Angela is...
Chris noticed Angie struggling and helped her out by holding some of her sweets for her...

"Louisa!" she said, smiling as soon as she spotted her friend.
...huh? Louisa turned her head toward the source of the voice calling her. Her face brightened instantly at the sight of her best friend, "Vashti!" Throwing her arms around the older girl's neck. She'd missed her terribly, lots of news to pour on the graduate girl... that was a bit sad, calling her a graduate but it pleased Louisa to acknowledge her like that. Proud even.
Something, however, poked Louisa's chest while hugging her. Something that felt like the thing Eino wore on his chest at the Platform an hour ago. With wide eyes, Louisa broke free and checked if her guess was right.
It was.
With a shriek for the whole line to hear, Louisa shouted, "YOU'RE HEAD GIRL?" Another squeeze was due. And jumping. And blush of excitement. It was thrilling to have Vashti the Head Girl, not only a Prefect. Pulling free from the girl's neck while still having her shoulders, Louisa's face brightened, "Now you have a legit reason to butt into my business." That was majorly a tease... and an itsy bitsy true.
ZOMG! A captain badge! "Congratulations Kimalia!" Erin said in surprise. Erin was not really comfortable in Kimalia's name but she doesn't agree with Mallie, maybe Kim would do but that would be like a completely different one. It would sound like, it wasn't the Slytherin captain she was talking about. HELLO! A Ravenclaw in here, she pouted slightly! And now, they're talking about trying out for the Snake's team Quidditch. Eagle were actually known for their smart tactics.
"Oh yes," Erin said quite enlightened by Kimalia statements, they did have a Hogwarts anthem to sing. "I might try out for that next term." It's quite exciting. "So, you Kimalia, how does it feel to be captain?" asked Erin and danced the Slytherin labeled moves in little movements.
