Ella was taking a break to catch her breath when she saw another girl tumble off her broom and on to the ground. She ran over to the girl's side as fast as she could, worried. "Are you alright?"

Eino continued to circle the field in an up-and-down pattern to make things less dull. To make this possible, however, he had to go a tad higher, so by pulling the handle he reached a new height of thirty feet in the air. Pushing the handle downward, he lowered himself to about twenty feet in the air. As Eino completed yet another circle around the pitch, he came across a younger Ravenclaw student who was hovering above the grassy field. He pulled the broomstick's handle softly as he approached her, braking very slowly. "Hello." He said once his broom had come to a complete halt. "You're doing splendidly well." Eino said encouragingly. Seeing someone in the air, just there, was never a good thing. Most people were successful with the taking off part, but landing was always a bit scarier. Hopefully this wasn't the girl's case and she wasn't stuck in the air.

Vlimia listened intently to the instructions given, even though she already knew how to fly quite well. Nothing was wrong with brushing up on a few skills. After the broom next to her had jumped up into her hand, Vlim mounted it and kicked off eagerly. Rising up at her normal speed, Vlimia stopped at roughly 20 feet. Looking around, she let the beautiful day wash around her and the wind try to tilt her broom even though the wind knew it couldn't. Vlim hovered there for a bit, taking in the wonderful view of Hogwarts.

Silvia circled around a few more times, then tried zigzagging down the middle of the pitch, making sure not to fly too fast and careful not to get too close to some of the other students while doing so; she didn’t want to risk the chance of turning too late and someone getting hurt. She reached the other side of the pitch safely, rose a few more feet, and stopped to look around. Silvia had always been very short for her age, always having to look up to see the faces of her peers. So she was delighted to be up in the air where she could be looking down at people and things. Not to mention the view was really nice. She couldn’t wait until the day she had the opportunity to fly even higher and get an even better view.

They had been flying for awhile and it looked like the professor might be on the verge of calling them all back for the next part of the lesson, so she headed back to the center of the pitch and descended about twenty feet, circling close to where the professor was standing so she could hear him when he called them down.

Jezzabelle completed a few more circles and then decided to practice landing using the school broom. She leaned down and decreased her speed to a slow jog then allowed her feet to touch the ground and she took the landing at a slight run. Once she stopped completely she smiled happily to herself. She then kicked off again and allowed the broom to go as high as possible. Up here the world below seemed just a little less intimidating. She decided to just fly in a few zigzag formations while going in a circle. Again it all felt like a roller coaster ride. One that she didn't ever want to get off.

Selina flew on her broom for a little longer before she finally slowed down by pulling back on the hilt of her broom. She started to slow before she almost ran into a first year. By twisting her broom to the left she made a sharp turn and pulled her broom to a hard stop. Yeah, that was enough for her today. She knew that perhaps she should make a landing. Flying dangerously was reserved for the Pitch when she was flying with more experienced flyers. So with that Selina landed.

Minerva was flying around the side of the pitch when she pulled to her left and turned. She couldn't believe she was flying and liking it.She leaned forward flying to the center of the pitch. She balanced there for awhile just watching until she got tired and leaned forward zooming to the end of the pitch. She smiled at her change of feeling towards flying.

Logan looked at his broom and smiled. He was so excited to finally get up and flying! He mounted it, and shot upwards a little too quickly. He slowed down and looked around himself and smiled. This was great! Flying was now officially his favorite subject.

Minerva flew over near Logan. "Hey Logan how are you flying?" She leaned slight right so she could be square to face him. She smiled at the first year. "Want to try to race a bit?" She was getting confident on the broom and wanted to try and go faster.

Eino was lazily sitting on his broomstick when a strong gush of wind nearly knocked him off of it. He quickly regained balance and recovered just in time to see a familiar face, or, in this case, a familiar back. Leaning forward and gaining some speed, Eino tailed Vashti until he was close enough to be heard. This wasn't an easy task. Her turns were sudden, and the way Eino followed her almost made it look like they were seeking the same snitch. Only it was a very slow snitch because seekers were usually much, much faster than this. "Missing a quaffle?" Eino said in a poor attempt at a joke as he speedily approached the head girl. In any other case, following Vashti on a broomstick would have been impossible, but thankfully she was mindful of Professor Vindictus' rules (duh, or else she wouldn't be the head girl) and didn't go too fast. He couldn't recall ever seeing her flying outside of quidditch matches, where she was usually holding a quaffle wrapped in her arm.

Harvey continued flying around the pitch with his eyes still looking around to see where Minnie was.. and he decided to try out some turns as well.. so he leaned right on his broom and he went right... he then leaned his body in left and he went left. He did this a few moer times as he zigged and zagged left and right just to get a hand of the turnings..

Just then he saw blonde hair fly past him and he looked around to see Minnie zooming to the other end of the pitch.. he beamed as she zoomed around on her broom looking confident..

Harvey also did some more zig zagging around the pitch to get used to the turnings

Minerva smiled at Logan and leaned forward. She couldn't believe how easy this was this year. As she flew she thought about tryouts and how excited it would be to be on the team. Minerva didn't think she would make the team, but it was fun trying and it was so fun flying now. She pulled back a bit and came to a stop. Looking around to see if anyone was around her she leaned forward and flew to the end of the pitch..

"Hey, Minnie!" he said. "It's good, it's good!" he said giving a slight nod. "Race? Yeah sure!" he said, grinning as she began speeding down to the end of the pitch. He flew behind her, as fast as he could, making sure not to dip or do anything stupid. He didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of the class again...

"Ok get ready. We will just go right to the end of the pitch." Minerva pulled left to turn herself around. "On the count of three.. 1...2...3" she laughed as she leaned forward to go straight on her broom. She didn't go to fast. She wanted Logan to feel good about flying.

Just as Eino was about to land he flew past two students who were planning a race. He quickly turned his broomstick around with a sharp left turn, and made his way towards them. These were the turns that made him feel like he was playing quidditch. Quick, sharp, and slightly dangerous. He leaned forward and sped up towards the two students, now identifying them as a first year and a second year. He hardly thought Professor Vindictus was going to be happy to see two young students racing. In fact, he didn't think Professor Vindictus would be happy no matter how old they were. His pitch, his rules. Pulling the handle to brake, Eino stopped right in front of the two of them. "Hello," He began, catching his breath, "There are a lot of students flying here for you to race, so that might not be the best idea." Eino said and nodded towards Professor Vindictus to indicate that the two students could get in trouble for it. "You could hurt others and yourselves."

"Okay..." Logan said, turning around on his broom. He then sped after her, squinting as the wind blew in his face as he flew. He didn't know flying would be so great! He felt like he could do anything when he was on his broom...ANYTHING...he went faster...and faster...and faster...until he was right next to Minnie. He looked at her and grinned. "Hey you!" he said laughing, when suddenly someone else flew up next to them. He stopped flying.

"Oh..I guess you're right." Logan said, blushing slightly and giving a little nod. He looked around himself. This boy was right, they could really get in trouble.

Minerva smiled "Oh I'm not really racing him.. Just want to build his confidence a little. That's all. It was more of a movement forward." she winked at the prefect, seriously dude I'm not an idiot she thought.

Harlow slowly sat up and looked up at the Hufflepuff that was talking to her, "Oh I'm ok. That was a better landing believe me," she pushed herself up and smiled at the girl. She would have offered the girl her hand, but it was still hurting from the earlier broom incident. "Harlow Riddle," she offered the girl.

They weren't racing? :blink: .....Well, that was true. If they were racing they'd be all serious about it and stuff or something like that. "Wanna just..fly around then?" he asked.

Minerva blushed a bit on her broom. "Sorry Logan I just wanted to help you gain your confidence on the broom. Yes let's fly" she leaned to the left "let's go this way." away from the jerk who didn't help Logan with his confidence she thought. She leaned forward and headed to the left side of the pitch.

"That is quite already." Eino said and looked over his shoulder at Professor Vindictus. "Hopefully he didn't see anything." But really, there was no guarantee. Vindictus had been a Quidditch Official for too long and those sorts of things required the eye of an eagle, which, coincidentally, was the mascot of the house Vindictus was the head of. "Just be careful not to get into any trouble." The boy said with a nod and left them.

This time, he did make it to the grassy field. He pushed the broom's handle down to a diagonal position, and headed towards the safety of the ground. Turning the handle, he steered towards the spot where Professor Vindictus was and prepared to land. Once he was several feet away, he pulled the handle back up and slowly descended. When his feet hit the floor, he made sure that they were secure, and that his broom was not supporting any of his weight, to let go. He dismounted the instrument and stood there, seeing as Professor Vindictus was about to say something.
