# Six She was not able to hover for long because all of a sudden it seemed as if she was in the way of the squirrels destination. She took a deep breath in and thought to herself that this is the time to see if she could avoid them without getting touched at all. She leaned down on her broom and took off. One was coming at her from her right so she veered left. Missed him. Now one was coming for her from her left so she veered right and managed to miss him too. Hannah's confidence was getting a little better at this point. She was dodging squirrels left and right and none of them had managed to even graze her. She was able to fly the entire pitch without a mishap. She hovered for a moment and looked at all of her classmates and squirrels that she managed to miss. Maybe she would be good on the Quidditch team afterall. |
post 3 Laura looked around and decided that she hated boys when the were flying, seriously it was like they didn't care about the girls, they were suppost to protect the girls and their good looks but well these boys just wanted to mess about with the flying squirrel's which well Laura didn't think they should be doing. Laura finally managed to get away from the flying squirrel that was messing about with her, she was glad about that but now she knew that she had to be careful since the boys where to busy looking out for themselves. |
4 Why won't these squirrels just leave me alone, Jezzabelle thought to herself as the looped around the pitch with three squirrels riding on the back end of her broom. Another one came flying at her face so she pointed her broom downward to avoid it. However, she managed to get one attached to her back. She jerked her broom upward hoping they would all fall off and fly off, but the one on her back clung to her shirt. Leveling out she flew in a really fast circle trying to remove the squirrel but only ended up making herself dizzy. "Just let go of me," she said shaking her entire body which really didn't help maintain her balance on the broom. She neared a tree and stopped beside it. "Get off." Her temper rising. She felt it leave and she raced off away. |
post 4 Laura looked around as she zoomed past another Squirrel, she was beginning to enjoy herself on the broomstick, maybe flying wouldn't be so bad, so why had Oscar told her flying was like a war on broom, oh yeah the crazy Professor guy who had decided that Squirrel should fly. Laura felt sorry for the Squirrel, if they didn't have wings then they shouldn't fly unless Laura was missing something Squirrels didn't have wings right, zooming past another Squirrel, Laura decided to have some fun and stick her tongue out at it, it wasn't as if the Squirrel could do anything about it right. |

After dodging the squirrel, a familiar shrieking voice alerted him. Hades turned around to see his housemate panicking as a squirrel was on her sleeve. Steering his broom around, he quickly zoomed towards Nora. "Oy! Oy! Calm down," he called out. If she kept on moving around, 1) he can't take the squirrel off her or 2) she'll fall off her broom. |
Post 1 aka I'm a fail xD Squirrels!!!! Isabelle never had been a fan of squirrels and now she had to dodge them on a broom. Ummm...not fun at all. Izzy saw a big fat squirrel coming at her so she swerved her broom to the left just barely missing that fat thing. Gross, it probably carried all sorts of germs, and Izzy was not keen on getting rabies or something. Then she felt something fall with a huge thump on her back. "AHHHHHHHHH," she screamed as she swerved all over the place trying to through the squirrel off her back. She reached her hand up and smacked it as hard as she could. |
Post #6 Messer speed up his broom when he saw squirrels flying toward him. One squirrel was enough he couldn't endure having squirrel on his head like earlier. He realized that he was running away from squirrels but that squirrels were monster. They attacked anyone who was flying near them. He made a zigzag move with his broom hoping to lose the squirrels. But his attempt was failing miserably the squirrels still tailing behind him. Man. He wish that he brought some foods with him like Alyssa. |
5 Finally having a non squirrel encounter, Jezz flew through the air zigzagging in and out between students. She went from one tree to the next without incident. It was all calming down a little more. Well, all good things must end right? As she went to go to another tree a squirrel came flying over her head. She ducked and at the same time pointed her broom downward a little more than she wanted to. "Gahhhh!" She flailed a little and pulled up as hard as she could trying to remain airborne and not go hurtling into the ground. |
Task 2 has now ended The last of the flying squirrels finally reached their destination of trees and Vindictus raised his whistle up to his lips. TWEET! "Everyone land and return your brooms to the broom rack," he instructed loudly. "Class dismissed!" OOC: The lesson is now over. You cannot go back and finish task 2. This thread will remain open for another 14 hours so that you can RP landing, returning the broom, and leaving the class. |
Messer saw the squirrels went toward trees. What? What happen? Then he heard a very loud sound from Vindictus's whistle. Oh its over already. Ugh! He already missed flying around but he didn't miss the squirrels part though. He slowly dive his broom toward the ground but before he crash into the ground, Messer pulled up the broom handle. The broom slowly stop. He was in the ground once again. Safe and Sound. He bring his broom to the broom rack. There you go! "Bye, Professor Vindictus. Thanks for the lesson. Good day!" the first year said before he leave. |
The sound of the professors whistle was music to Hannah's ears. She landed like a pro and walked over to the broom rack and returned her broom. She had to admit once she got over the shock of flying squirrels she had really enjoyed the lesson. She flashed the professor a smile. "Thanks for a great lesson. See ya next time." She left the pitch and was headed to her common room for a nice hot shower...she had to get the furry creature stink off of her! |
Sophie was still avoiding those weird flying squirrels when they seemed to Leaning a little to the right, Sophie kept looking down when she flew in the ground's direction, making a couple of circles, and landed safely "Goodbye, Professor!" she smiled as she passed by him. |

And so, when the whistle went off in the air, she immediately stopped flying and listened to Professor Vindictus' instructions. And that was to land and return their brooms. With a grin, she maneuvered the broom handle that it was now facing down then she leaned forward slightly and she then going down. When the ground was near, she shifted and pulled the broom handle up again, triggering the braking charm. Once she had landed, she got off the broom, ran to the broomshed and returned it neatly then swished back to where the Professor was, bowed at him and said, "Goodbye Professor! And thank you for the lesson." And that's that. She'll just come back to the pitch when no one's around and practice with her firebolt. |
Thank Merlin, she had never been so happy to hear a whistle. Jezzabelle landed and was happy to leave. Squirrels made her squirm. She placed the broom back on the broom rack and said, "Bye Professor Vindictus." She turned and all but ran to the castle. Shudder. Squirrels. |
As the whistle was blown, Hades reluctantly flew lower and got off the broom before returning it. How quick time passed when you were having fun. Before leaving the pitch, he stopped by the flying instructor. "Thanks, Professor V. It was a great lesson," it was indeed. Too bad he still can't remember the professor's name. |
Vlimia touched down lightly and happily. Well, that was a nice flying session. She walked over to the broom rack and set her broomstick down on it. "Thank you Proffesor!" Vlim called, and walked contentedly towards the castle. |
Finally! It was over! Nora had a feeling she didn't want to see any squirrels, whether flying or not, for a while. She returned the broom after landing and smiled at professor Vindictus. "Goodbye, professor." And let's hope he didn't have any other surprizes for the next lesson. |
When she hard Vindictus blow the whistle, Gwen couldn't believe it was over. YES!!!!, she felt the need to scream, but managed to control herself. Landing as fast as possible, the third year got off her broomstick and was ready to go return it. Oh my! I don't want to see squirrels ever again. Never ever!, the girl thought and grabbed the broomstick. And I'll definitely have to tell Ari all about this lesson. 'Goodbye, Professor', she said, not even thinking about adding something like 'great lesson'. Nope. She was just happy it was over. |
Alyssa listened when the Professor blew his whistle to summon them back to the ground. She slowly leaned forward on her broom and as she hovered slowly to the ground, she straightened back up and pulled back slowly on her broom to come to a halting stop. Once her feet touched the ground, she dismounted the broom, and returned it back to the broom rack. She then picked up her bag and walked over to the Professor. "Thank you, Professor for another interesting lesson. I look forward to your next one,"Alyssa smiled at him before she walked off the pitch and headed back to the castle. |
Taylor flew down and landed when the professor dismissed the class. She put up the broom. "Thanks Professor for the flying lesson." She smiled, "It was good to fly again." Taylor nodded at the professor and went off the pitch. |
When Ella heard the Professor calling she was relieved. What a lesson! She made a solid landing and grabbed her broom to put it away. She was exhausted at this point but so in love with flying that she couldn't wait to have another go. With one fleeting look at those crazy squirrels she headed back to the castle. "Bye Professor Vindictus! Thanks for the lesson!" Okay, so she didn't exactly enjoy the squirrel part of the lesson but she did love flying and she sure had done a lot of that. |
Aurora dragged her broom to the broom rack and put it away. Thank. Goodness. Eurgh, she didn't understand how people could enjoy the broom thing... it was HORRIBLE!!! Sure, watching Quidditch was fabulous, but riding a broom was EVIL AND WRONG. Still, trying new things was good... right? When she had made sure her broom was safe in the rack Aurora took the ribbon that she had retied out of her hair ad shoved it into her pocket, letting her red hair tumble down her back, then she turned and walked back up to the castle. She was going to sit in the common room and do something relaxing after that hellish lesson... |
She landed and put her broom back on the rack. She then left the flying class area. |
Kennedy landed and placed the broom back to where it belonged. He had to admit this was a fun lesson. Professor Vindictus seems to always surprise him. If it isn't some creepy insect it's candy, and if it isn't that then it's flying squirrels. Fun. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor Vindictus," he said, waving goodbye at the man. |
WAIT! NOOO! The lesson couldn't be over! There were still more flying squirrels to met and help across the pitch! She wasn't ready for it to be over. With an obvious frown, Kurumi pushed the handle of her broom down towards the ground to land, obviously very distracted due to having to say what she felt were some very premature goodbyes to some very adorable creatures. Which turned out to not be a very good thing as Kurumi's landing left something to be desired. Her right leg came out from under her and she summersaulted over her broom several times, leaving it behind unharmed on the pitch. EEK! Jumping back up and not even taking the time to dust herself off, Kurumi picked up the broom and promptly returned it to its proper place before hurrying over to Professor Vindictus. "Absolutely brilliant lesson, professor," she said. Her tone was one of excitement, but her eyes told a very different story. "Um...enjoy the cookies," she continued, making a small bow before heading off the pitch and back towards the castle. |
