"So I guess its my turn now?" Because she already had her and now its his again, yeah? "Umm..Are you ready?" He hoped she is ready. Messer pointed her wand towards his partner and made the D movement with it "Expelliarmus!" The young badger saw a jet of light shot from his wand toward Ella but it disappeared before it reached Ella. "Err..Sorry. Let me try that again." He pointed his wand again and did proper the wand movement "Expelliarmus!" he said clearly. Like before a jet of light shot from his wand toward Ella.


Ella smiled. "Thanks. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it." She was shocked actually, not expecting Messer's wand to fly from his hand. She felt pretty proud of herself but it was fleeting, knowing that Messer was going to go again.

"Yeah, your turn. Hit me with your best shot." She smiled, thinking of the song her mother liked to sing. She felt her body tense up a bit as Messer pointed his wand her way, the nervous feeling coming over her once again. She flinched as the jet of light streamed towards her, only to disappear before it hit her. She shrugged. "Maybe try to make a clearer d movement?" she suggested, not knowing if it would be helpful. "No problem, I'm ready." She stood up straight, waiting for Messer's next attempt. As she watched, the same stream of light came from Messer's wand in her direction, only it seemed stronger this time. She felt it hit her hand and suddenly, her wand was flying through the air. "Woah." was all she could say. "Messer, that was a good one!" she said, smiling as she bent down to pick up her wand.

"Mind if I try again?" she asked. She figured she might as well. She got into position, holding her wand towards Messer. "Ready?" She scrunched her forehead in concentration while making the d motion and said, "Expelliarmus!" This time the jet of light was instantaneous, headed right for Messer's wand. "Wicked!" she said, looking at her wand in awe.

Daichi laughed out loud as he heard that and as he turned around he looked at Jory in amusement. He knew he was trying to make him feel better and it had worked. "Yeah , i'm sorry" he said with one last chuckle.

Daichi smiled as Jory agreed to go first and tried to study his movement as he did the spell. He held his wand in his right hand and as he saw a blast of light coming his way. His first instinct was to dodge the sparks but refrained from doing so since this was still an practise.

He could do the next thing that came to his mind and that was clutching his Phoenix wand tightly in his hand. But it didn't work, as the spell landed on his hand, he felt the wand slip out of his hand and fell on the ground. "Woah" he said and looked at Jory before bending down to grab his wand.

"That was good!" he held his thumb up. Now it was his turn. Seeing that Jory could do it, Daichi figured he could do the same thing so he pointed his wand at the Hufflepuff. "Expelliar---" eeeeeh what was it called again?! O__o Oh right he remembered. Pointing his wand back he shouted "ExpelliaRIUS" obviously saying the incantation wrong.

Daichi looked at his wand as nothing had happened. "Yah! stupid thing why don't you work?!" he pouted as he frowned at his wand and shook it up and down when.....

*BAAAM!*

Yes and he's kinda jealous with her because she did the charm right but the again he had this weakness in learning a new charm. Nevertheless he was happy that his partner succeed.

He grinned widely when he noticed that his third attempts were succeed. He finally managed to disarm his partner this time not himself. Go him! "Thanks." he said with that stupid grin in his face.

"No. Go ahead. Its your turn anyway." Besides Professor Romanos hasn't give them a green light to move on to the next charm so it mean they still could practice the disarming charm. "Ready!" Messer said. Like before a jet of light come from the tip of Ella's wand toward him fast and it flew his wand even before he had time to blink his eyes. "Nice one, Ella." he picked his wand again from the floor. He seem did that a lot today.

"Mind if I try the spell again?" he asked Ella. But before he could hear Ella answer, he heard a loud BAAM!

"BOMB! Its a BOMB!"

Before Oakey could finish saying her name though a bright stream of light shot from the her wand and hit him right in his forearm. His wand went flying through the air and landed a couple of feet right in front of Alyssa.
Alyssa almost flinched when she saw the beam of light hit Oakey on his forearm and saw his wand headed towards her. She tried to reach for it, but missed and it fell clattering on the floor.

She picked up his wand and ran to him."Are you okay? I saw the charm hit your forearm. I'm not sure whether it is supposed to do that. I would like to try one more time, if it is okay with you. Then it'll be your turn to try all you want. I want to see whether I can catch the wand this time. Here's yours back." Alyssa asked as she handed him back his wand.

Then she ran back to where she previously stood and turned to face him. "READY?" She yelled across to him. Concentrating on the spell and focussing on the wand in Oakey's hand, she performed the wand movements, a circular motion with a swift upward stroke and pointed it at Oakey's wand. "Expelliarmus". Again she saw a beam of light shoot out towards Oakey again.

"Ellie," she corrected as she walked up to the professor and the...kid she'd decided to pair her with. ...Wasn't he...young? Now she wished she'd stayed with Arya.

'Mister Vaughn' got a small wave.

This was nuts! Olivia spied the professer over there talking to some other students. She waited until they were done speeking, thenshe asked her question. Nate saw that the two spells didn't miss each other like they did before. Instead they collided into each other. It did two things the first thing is that it made pretty sparks. The second thing is it made a big boom. Anyways Nate took a different stance, pointed his wand at hers and said "Expelliarmus."

She didn't have too much time to consider, either way, as she noticed the flick in her peripheral vision and t urned back to her partner to see that he'd taken his wand out finally.

She raised an eyebrow a little at his drawn out word, and shifted her grip on her own wand to be ready to use it when necessary. Especially because she wasn't stupid. He was obviously trying to take her off guard, being one of those typical Slytherins that irritated Matt so much. Stereotypes, but it was just as obvious that he thought she wasn't going to be prepared. Dropping her wand hand momentarily, she watched the red flash of light just miss, then brought her wand back up in the tight d movement Professor Romanos requested, aiming for his wand. "Expelliarmus!," she cast, smiling a little as she waited to see if her spell would hit.

Gideon watched his partner attempt to mimic his movements, the boy clearly not used to doing it. Well...here goes.

"Expelliarmus!" he cast with the required d-movement of his wand, the 5th year careful to aim directly for the wand trying his best not to catch the Ravenclaw himself by accident.

Nate took a different stance aimed his wand at his opponents and said "Expelliarmus." Nothing happened. "What this is weird." Nate looked at his wand. When he looked at the tip it exploded. Not the wand but the spell. It backfired. Nate went back a few feet. He looked at himself. He was bleeding but not alot of blood came out. He saw a few bruses starting to form.

Lily twisted her wand around in her hand as she watched Violet think about whether she wanted to go first or not. "Ok, I can go first but I have never performed either spell so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work." Lily took a deep breath and got herself into a fairly ready position. Ella smiled, feeling proud that she was doing the charm correctly. "Thanks!" she said brightly. Hearing that Messer wanted to go again she smiled. "Sure you can go again!" Ella said and was just about to get ready for Messer's charm when she heard a piercing sound and jumped to the floor, hearing Messer yell "BOMB." She looked around wide eyed, wondering what had happened.

I really don't think you have to catch my wand Alyssa. . She handed his wand back to him and seemed have ignored his plea not to win over his wand. After Sierra won his wand over during the capture the flag game in charms class Oakey became overly protective of his wand.

The streaming bright light came towards him once more and hit his right shoulder! His right arm shot up and his wand released from his hand above his head. Oakey starred it down as his wand made its decent like an infielder in a game of muggle baseball would a pop fly.

Reaching his arm back out he let his wand drop right back into his hand and gripped it firmly. Nice one, Alyssa. He called across to her.

She definately knew how to keep him on his toes. No sooner had she picked up her wand was his flying out of his hand. He smiled, " so, that's how you want it , eh? Hearing the professor speak up and call for anyone without a partner, Sierra frowned and made her way up. This sort of thing made her feel like a failure, even though she knew she wasn't. She just hated having to head to the professor to find a partner.

It's didn't hurt to much. He said reassuring Alyssa. I'm gonna try it in different hands, see which one feels better


He moved his wand over to his right hand and pointed it at Alyssa. To get the feel of the movement before he cast the spell he waved his wand in the lower case "d" shape. That feels just about right. Jacques had been watching, he had been listening and he was now confident he could do what was needed. All that was left was for him to find himself a partner. A suitable one that wouldn't hurt him somehow, it was a simple disarming spell but Merlin only knew what he would get himself into by somehow tripping over his own feet and causing some controversy that would draw attention to himself. "I don't have a partner professor!" He spoke too loudly, he was conscious of it only after his last word. He wasn't supposed to speak that loudly apparently.

He seemed the only one without a partner so he figured he'd wait for someone to be finished practicing or perhaps he could practice on his own some more so to ensure he did not poke someones eye out with his wand. That would be messy business and he wasn't up for cleaning his wand of eye gunk.

Alyssa closed her eyes when she saw the beam of light headed for her, then she quickly opened them when she realized that it was the wrong thing to do. She needed to make sure whether she needed to duck or not. The spell hit her arm, sending her wand flying again. Alyssa quickly ran after it, catching it just before it hit the ground. Then she ran back to where Oakey was. "You did great, Oakey. Looks the good luck charm is holding up."she leaned over to whisper in his ear. "Do you mind if I try that spell again?"

Maybe he had a mouth curse, or something, like that previous Ancient Runes professor. Hmmm. This was fixable. Eino would have to consider making him an anti-curse badge or something. Taking him to the hospital would probably work, too.

"So," Eino began widening his eyes, "do you want to practice with me?" Well, if the boy repeated this then it was certainly off to the Hospital Wings... or better yet, St. Mungo's. He watched the boy intently as he anxiously waited for an answer.

She wasn't that unaware of the predicament the three girls were in, though she didn't have a huge problem with it; someone else needed a partner as well. "I vouldn't have a problem vith you three being partners, though Mister Gabriel here needs a partner." she said as she walked over to them, gesturing on over to the young Slytherin boy. Well, it looks like he may not have to get Disarmed after all. Good, I didn't want to have to go find my wand amidst this chaos, anyways. Plus he was excited to try that extra horizontal movement Romanos had discussed.

Ella stood up, brushing herself off with a sigh. She looked at Messer sheepishly and smiled, not blaming him for thinking it was a bomb. It sure sounded like one! But it wasn't a bomb after all... Just a crazy backfiring wand. Thank Merlin!She hoped her classmate was okay but Professor Romanos didn't seem to concerned so she figured she shouldn't be either. She shook her arms out, trying to loosen herself up a little after the scare.

"So uh-ready to get back to it?" She asked her partner.

Daichi looked at his wand as nothing had happened. "Yah! stupid thing why don't you work?!" he pouted as he frowned at his wand and shook it up and down when.....

Jory grinned as Daichi burst out laughing. "Good,'' he thought ''Atleast he should be able to concentrate on the spell,''

The Huffie had honestly not expected the spell to work on his first try. But he couldn't help pumping his fist in the air as Daichi's wand fell to the floor. "Yeah!'' he exclaimed. "Thanks,'' he told Daichi returning the thumbs up.

Jory got ready for the spell to be cast on him. "Just concentrate,'' he told the Slythie. Daichi didn't seem to be concentrating, however. He had forgotten the incantation. Then he got half of it right. "It's not Expelliarius,'' Jory to him. "Its Expelliarmus. That's why nothing happened.'' He watched as Daichi shook his wand hard.

When the BAAAM went off, Jory nearly jumped out of his skin. "Are you ok?'' he asked the shocked looking Slytherin. Just then the Professor gave the next set of instructions. "You cast the spell and I'll use the shield charm, if you're ready,'' Jory said.

Oh gosh.

"T-Thanks," he said, patting the spot on his head. "It doesn't look bad...does it?" he whispered pointing at his head.


He was grateful this had not attracted the professor's attention. It would have made it more never wrecking for him.

Alyssa first practised the Shield Charm movements on her own. With an upward archng flick movement with her wand, Alyssa said, "Protego". She saw a bluish barrier form in front of her before disappearing. She practiced one more time before walking over to Oakey. "Do you want to try the Shield Charm or the Disarming one, Oakey? I'll let you choose."Alyssa asked him.

She'd agreed to be Olivias partner! I guess were getting started...huh what! Olivias wand was out of her hand, it scattered across the floor and Olivia ran over to grab it. Instead of doing protego, Olivia decided to backfire Expelliarmus! she flicked her wand and pointed it at her opponent's. Before she could attack again while Olivia was dissarmed.

Kurumi stood on her tip toes to get a better look at the top of his head. "It looks fine," she nodded. "I used to have to cut my brothers' hair, so I didn't leave you with a bald spot or anything." Kurumi's eyes fell onto his wand and the clump of hair attached to it. "What...are you going to do with that hair?"

She poked at it with her own wand and sort of giggled.

Kennedy visibly relaxed. He trusted Kurumi to be saying the truth due to her reputation of being a nice person, but his hand still roamed over the area on his head. Yep, there was some hair there still. He looked down at his other hand that was still clutching at his clump of hair.

"I'm...not sure," he said, shrugging. He couldn't just toss it on the ground or ask Professor Romanos, "Where should I put my hair?" that'd just be creepy. So, he did the only thing that popped into his mind. He shoved the hair into his pocket. He'd dispose of it after class.

He took a step back, and said, "How about you do the Disarming spell and I try to block it?" And vise versa. They were supposed to be practicing the shield charm now too, right?

...Professor Romanos told them to start practicing the Shield Charm. She turned to her partner, "Guess we can practice the Shield Charm and then practice the two together when we've got it?" Well..the Shield Charm won't be too bad for her since she already knew how to do it and actually, she didn't need too much practice in regards to it. But since she wanted to do better, she immediately started practicing. "Protego!" she did an upward arching flick with her wand and tried adding a horizontal shift motion to it. The bluish field from her wand began to expand.

Trying not to laugh at the fact that Kennedy currently had a rather large clump of his own hair in his pocket, Kurumi eyed his hair a bit more. The shorter hair sort of suited him, but perhaps she should have evened out his sides a bit more...

Hmmm? Oh right, dueling practice.

"Sounds good to me," she nodded, twirling her wand in her fingers again. Kurumi took several steps backwards, creating a good distance between the two of them. Too close and Kennedy would have no chance to react to her spell; too far and there would be no challenge. Kurumi gave the space another quick look over before adjusting just a bit more.

"Alright...on the count of three...1...2...3!" Kurumi performed a tight d movement with her wand. "Expelliarmus!"

Okay, she thought while rubbing her face, I think it's okay already. She saw Glenn, and replied, "Yeah, I think so. Was there something wrong with my face? You kind of freaked out a little...."

She fixed the position of her foot, put her wand at the ready and shouted "Expelliarmus!"

Oh. That wasn't a bomb? Fiuh. He thought that was a bomb because it sound like one and he was really sorry that he scared his partner by yelling like that next time he had to make sure what its first before yelling something like that.

Tayla gave the young Slytherin boy a quick smile then faced Professor Romanos again, feeling she should wait for the professor to give the final word.

Ella watched as her disarming charm hit Messer before he could shield himself, causing him to fall on the floor. She looked at him with wide eyes, hoping he was okay. "Oh Messer, I'm sorry!" she said, going to help him up. She was shocked at how quickly her spell had hit him, making a mental note to be on her toes when it was his turn to try and disarm her. "How about I try to disarm you again so you can get another go at the shielding charm? Then we'll switch?" She figured they should both have a few tries with the shield charm as it was new to them and seemed kind of difficult, especially when someone was trying to disarm you. She backed away from him, ready to cast her charm in his direction. "Okay, get ready!" she called, making the d motion. "Expelliarmus!"

Great he had a partner now. He turned to her, his wand at his his side, would they need to learn each others names? He didn't think so, unless of course they would need names to collect possible grades later then learning her name would be necessary. Knowing the professor would allow the partnership he approached her "In case we will be needing names, I'm Jacques and you are?" She was a Hufflepuff meaning that learning her name wouldn't mean he would have to interact with her, there were many people at Hogwarts and the chance of seeing her again was slim to none.

He didn't return her smile but after a moment realized he was to smile back since that was normal for other people. He smiled back at her and tapped his fingers to his thumb before making a fist.

She hated that feeling, the way the wand just fell out of your grip.. OH! She picked up her wand again ''That was brilliant,'' she picked up her wand. ''Expelliarmus,'' she moved her wand to make the 'D' shape

Jordan smiled back at Ariana, "I'm a metamorphmagus, what do you expect?" he asked her, demonstrating some hair colour change right there. He noticed the charm bracelet and how upset Ariana seemed to get about it. He decided to be nice and shoot a Reparo! at the charm as it fell into Ariana's pocket.

He almost didn't have time to react to the spell cast by Ariana, "Protego!" he yelled, his wand moving quickly. The shield charm managed to protect him, but the force from the Expelliarmus knocked him back slightly. "Nice one! Its your turn now!" he grinned, before sending a more careful "Expelliarmus!" back at Ariana.

Nate decided to do protego too. He did the motion and said "Protego."
