She'd agreed to be Olivias partner! I guess were getting started...huh what! Olivias wand was out of her hand, it scattered across the floor and Olivia ran over to grab it. Instead of doing protego, Olivia decided to backfire Expelliarmus! she flicked her wand and pointed it at her opponent's. Before she could attack again while Olivia was dissarmed.

Kurumi stood on her tip toes to get a better look at the top of his head. "It looks fine," she nodded. "I used to have to cut my brothers' hair, so I didn't leave you with a bald spot or anything." Kurumi's eyes fell onto his wand and the clump of hair attached to it. "What...are you going to do with that hair?"

She poked at it with her own wand and sort of giggled.
Hearing that they were allowed to move on and practice the Shield Charm as well, Kurumi turned her attention away from the...hair...and back in the general vicinity of Kennedy's face. "So, want me to go ahead and throw another Disarming Spell at you, or you throw one at me?"

"Janice? Oh, Janice!" Glenn exclaimed, "I remember now!" She had been reading in the treehouse last year, it was a muggle book and tattered with her readings of it. Janice had fixed it for her.

"Yep, disarming." Glenn said, she shifted her wand in her hand so that it was pointing at Janice, "Uh - Expellimous!" She yelled.

Bang!

As soon as she said it, she knew she had done something wrong. Janice's face was covered in rainbow stripes, "Err - are you okay?"

Kennedy visibly relaxed. He trusted Kurumi to be saying the truth due to her reputation of being a nice person, but his hand still roamed over the area on his head. Yep, there was some hair there still. He looked down at his other hand that was still clutching at his clump of hair.

Erm...

"I'm...not sure," he said, shrugging. He couldn't just toss it on the ground or ask Professor Romanos, "Where should I put my hair?" that'd just be creepy. So, he did the only thing that popped into his mind. He shoved the hair into his pocket. He'd dispose of it after class.

He took a step back, and said, "How about you do the Disarming spell and I try to block it?" And vise versa. They were supposed to be practicing the shield charm now too, right?

She smiled as she successfully disarmed the she snake of her wand. Practicing sure paid to be helpful. And then it was the girl's turn. Beezus just had the chance to aim her wand towards her when a tiny spark hit her wand and the next thing she knew, it was on the floor. "Not bad Sky.." Beezus complimented. She was about to suggest that they practice the spell more when...

...Professor Romanos told them to start practicing the Shield Charm. She turned to her partner, "Guess we can practice the Shield Charm and then practice the two together when we've got it?" Well..the Shield Charm won't be too bad for her since she already knew how to do it and actually, she didn't need too much practice in regards to it. But since she wanted to do better, she immediately started practicing. "Protego!" she did an upward arching flick with her wand and tried adding a horizontal shift motion to it. The bluish field from her wand began to expand.

Alex practiced the arm movement for the Shield Charm without her wand. She accompanied each movement with a whispered "Protego", while waiting for her partners to take their next turns.

Trying not to laugh at the fact that Kennedy currently had a rather large clump of his own hair in his pocket, Kurumi eyed his hair a bit more. The shorter hair sort of suited him, but perhaps she should have evened out his sides a bit more...

Hmmm? Oh right, dueling practice.

"Sounds good to me," she nodded, twirling her wand in her fingers again. Kurumi took several steps backwards, creating a good distance between the two of them. Too close and Kennedy would have no chance to react to her spell; too far and there would be no challenge. Kurumi gave the space another quick look over before adjusting just a bit more.

"Alright...on the count of three...1...2...3!" Kurumi performed a tight d movement with her wand. "Expelliarmus!"

Oh looks like they were allowed to try a Shield charm now, just as Kimalia unfolded her arms getting ready to try it her wand *flew* out of her hands onto the floor. Blinking, "Nice job," smirking a bit walking around a bit until she found her wand.

"Okay, get ready.." Aiming her hand before saying, "Expelliarmus!" Holding back her lower lip in anticipation.

Janice grinned. She did remember her. She raised her wand, ready to disarm, but was too late. The force of Glenn's spell threw her backwards by a meter, but when she got up she felt that there is something very wrong with her face. She knitted her eyebrows and pointed her wand towards her face.

"Finite."

Okay, she thought while rubbing her face, I think it's okay already. She saw Glenn, and replied, "Yeah, I think so. Was there something wrong with my face? You kind of freaked out a little...."

She fixed the position of her foot, put her wand at the ready and shouted "Expelliarmus!"

Laura looked at Jen and smiled. "Maybe it will be the best thing to do, it might have just been a fluke the first time." Laura giggled. "Do you want to have another..."

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed. "It looks like we have to practice another spell, the shield charm or something like that." Laura didn't want to do that spell it sounded boring.

Oh. That wasn't a bomb? Fiuh. He thought that was a bomb because it sound like one and he was really sorry that he scared his partner by yelling like that next time he had to make sure what its first before yelling something like that.

Then the Professor gave them a green light to move on to the next spell. "Yeah. I guess so." he told Ella. "Umm..Do you want to do the Disarming Charm while I do the Shield Charm or the other way around?" he asked his partner first. Either way is fine by him.

Minerva said the shield charm in her head a few times. Then she looked at Justin "Ok do you want to disarm and I will try and use the shield."

"I looked around and saw the other students usin protago. Hum..."
Jen moved her wand
"Protago!"
But nothing happened.
"Well, I think my wand died :(

Tayla didn't know what to say. "Er...I can be his partner, Professor," Tayla said after a pause. She turned to Selina and the Hufflepuff, hoping she wasn't being rude. "If it's okay with you two..." Selina seemed to know the Hufflepuff. Maybe it would be better for them to be partners.

Tayla gave the young Slytherin boy a quick smile then faced Professor Romanos again, feeling she should wait for the professor to give the final word.

"Let's see if protego works. Expelliarmus." Nate was watching very very carefully.

Ella thought about it and then spoke up. "I'll try and disarm you and you can do the shield charm first." Ella said, raising her wand. "Alright, ready?" She looked at Messer with confidence and did the d motion that accompanied the charm. "Expelliarmus!" she said, watching a stream of light shoot towards Messer. She was curious to see if his shield charm would appear before the spell hit his wand.

"woah! Are you ok Jordan?" she asked her friend as her spell hit him. Ariana Giggle "your hair changed jordan"she giggled some more. The spell hit Ariana and it took her by surprise. she lost her footing and her wand.She fell back catching herself with her hands behind her landing on her bottom. when ariana hit the floor she heard beads? she looked down and saw the charm bracelet that Joseph had given her 1 year ago today for her birthday had broken, when she hit the floor.she looked down and saw the purple rose charm & the green "A" on the floor and the bracelet it's self broken on a random link. she looked up at Jordan but didn't say anything. she grabbed the bracelet & charms & stuffed them in her robe pocket.. "that was nice Jordan.!" Ariana retrieved her wand & came back to Jordan. "Now use the shield charm." she said to jordan before calling out "Expelliarmus!" once she saw the spell's light leave her wand she lowered her head as a tear fell down. she couldn't believe she had forgotten all about Joseph or even the charm bracelet that he had given her, she wore it everywhere, everyday.

"Okay." Messer nodded his head. He was not sure whether he'd managed to cast the Shield Charm or not but he decided to give it a shot. "Yes. Ready!" Lets do this! When Messer noticed his partner began to do the wand movement for the Disarming Charm, he made an upward arching flick with his wand "Protego!" But he wasn't quick enough. Ella' disarming charm hit him and he landed with his butt on the floor. Auch! That was kinda hurt. This girl was mean with her wand.

"Wanna try that again? Or Do you want to switch?" he asked Ella.

Justin nodded without saying a word, " Expelliamus! " he said as he moved his wand in a D pattern.

Ella watched as her disarming charm hit Messer before he could shield himself, causing him to fall on the floor. She looked at him with wide eyes, hoping he was okay. "Oh Messer, I'm sorry!" she said, going to help him up. She was shocked at how quickly her spell had hit him, making a mental note to be on her toes when it was his turn to try and disarm her. "How about I try to disarm you again so you can get another go at the shielding charm? Then we'll switch?" She figured they should both have a few tries with the shield charm as it was new to them and seemed kind of difficult, especially when someone was trying to disarm you. She backed away from him, ready to cast her charm in his direction. "Okay, get ready!" she called, making the d motion. "Expelliarmus!"

Great he had a partner now. He turned to her, his wand at his his side, would they need to learn each others names? He didn't think so, unless of course they would need names to collect possible grades later then learning her name would be necessary. Knowing the professor would allow the partnership he approached her "In case we will be needing names, I'm Jacques and you are?" She was a Hufflepuff meaning that learning her name wouldn't mean he would have to interact with her, there were many people at Hogwarts and the chance of seeing her again was slim to none.

He didn't return her smile but after a moment realized he was to smile back since that was normal for other people. He smiled back at her and tapped his fingers to his thumb before making a fist.

She disagreed but she wasn't having a rucas in DADA!!! Oh no!''Hm...'' LuLu smiled at her ''I don't think so,'' not yet anyways... ''Doubt it, but truth be told I have dabbled with the spell myself,'' Hm in first year, yes the DADA group! Oh yes, too bad it stopped the next year she really enjoyed it and learned how to use the antler jinx!

She hated that feeling, the way the wand just fell out of your grip.. OH! She picked up her wand again ''That was brilliant,'' she picked up her wand. ''Expelliarmus,'' she moved her wand to make the 'D' shape

Jordan smiled back at Ariana, "I'm a metamorphmagus, what do you expect?" he asked her, demonstrating some hair colour change right there. He noticed the charm bracelet and how upset Ariana seemed to get about it. He decided to be nice and shoot a Reparo! at the charm as it fell into Ariana's pocket.

He almost didn't have time to react to the spell cast by Ariana, "Protego!" he yelled, his wand moving quickly. The shield charm managed to protect him, but the force from the Expelliarmus knocked him back slightly. "Nice one! Its your turn now!" he grinned, before sending a more careful "Expelliarmus!" back at Ariana.

Nate decided to do protego too. He did the motion and said "Protego."
