Lily saw another Ravenclaw in need of a partner, so she walked over to introduce herself and hopefully be partners. "Um.. I'm Lily, want to be partners? I'm a first year." Lily hoped that she would find someone before the class really got going.

Violet looked over to see another fellow Ravenclaw ask her to be partners. "Sure thing. Nice to meet you Lily, I'm Violet and a first year too." She smiled at the other girl.

Maxwell smiled. "Nice to meet you, Alice I'd be happy to work with You." And started waiting for further instruction. then saw Violet enter the room and it hurt his heart a little to see her disappointed that he had a partner already, but it seemed she had too found a partner.

Vickers was in mid-flick when he felt someone approach him. He looked up just as the boy asked to partner up, and had to gulp unconsciously. Does it have to be a Gryffindor? From the Gryffindors he's met so far, practically all of them had a tendency to fight to the death. And thats not necessarily their own.

"S-Sure..." he replied nodding his head, then shot a glance at the DADA Professor. How far will she be when they start dueling? Would she be near enough to hear him yell for help? Oh wait, since light travels faster than sound, would she be able to keep that spell from hitting him in case he freezes in sheer panic?

"I-I'm Vickers." he said introducing himself and offering to shake the boy's hand. Maybe if he realizes he's peaceful he'll go easy on him "H-H-Have you done this before? The Disarming spell I mean?"

"Sure, I'd love to," Silvia said, glad to have found one of her friends to practice with.

Gideon looked relieved as his question was answered to the affirmative. One less thing he had to accomplish for the task at hand, and at times the hardest part. Though when his partner glanced back towards the professor, he was curious as to the reason. Was he just interested like he was as to when they would be begining? Or was there another reason entirely? As the Ravenclaw spoke once more however there were a few clues that could lead to a possible conclusion.

Stuttering...a sign of nerves?

"I'm Gideon," he returned, accepting the offered handshake politely before releasing the other boy's hand. "Aye...I have. Participated in the dueling club last term. Not that hard really," he explained trying to reassure the Ravencl--Vickers, who certainly appeared to be nervous about the whole thing.

Seemed mostly easy for the students to look for partners, though with a glance at her watch, Medea grimaced lightly. Where did the time go? "Alright." she spoke up, rubbing her hands together. "If you have your partner, go ahead and spread out through the arena. Just be careful of the moving dummies over by the vindow. They aren't exactly...functional yet." Tricky little things had a mind of their own. "Make sure to only practice vith your partner. If you end up disarming someone else, then...vell, try not to."

"If you do not have a partner yet, come up here to the front and I'll pair you off. As for now, you're free to start. Remember the 'd' wand movement and speak the incantation clearly."


OOC: If you have yet to find a partner, RP them coming up to the front and Professor Romanos will pair you off with someone. Also, keep in mind your character's age and skill level. Some might not get the spell right if this is their first try and that's completely fine.

Ellie was pushing her fake!pout farther than she's ever used it. She didn't WANT do duel. Or disarm. Or protect herself. Or anything. Especially with a classmate.

....Except Arya? She wouldn't mind disarming Arya at the moment.

Her fake!pout quickly turned into a LOOK.

And then....the Puff Captain came over and she almost thought that maybe he'd be directed to her, and her embarrassment over Arya calling her out to have a partner would disappear.

But he picked the Prefect.

This could still work to her advantage, though. Maybe Keefer would distract Arya enough to forget about her? And Ellie could just....edge to the side of the classroom? Out the door? Unnoticed?

He's done this before? Last term?

Heck might as well conjure a white flag and declare him the winner.

Although Gideon seems incredibly polite, but he was confident. Something the Ravenclaw didnt have for the most part. Then the Professor spoke up and said they should spread out and start practicing the spell. He gulped again. Oi the inevitable hour has come.

He glanced at Gideon to signal to him that they can take up one corner of the room not too far from the Professor. "D-D'you want to go first?" Yeah one of his pathetic ways of staving off the humiliation that is to come.

Annabelle found what seemed to be like to be a fourth year. "Hi i'm Annabelle and i am a fourth year. Would you like to be my partner?" But she asked and got no answer so she went to the front just incase and didn't have a partner. Hopefully she will be paired with someone

"I guess it's time for us to practice the disarming spell, Oakey. It's Expelliarmus right? Do you want to go first?"Alyssa asked him. She just hoped he got the spell right.

She walked to an area in the arena where there wasn't anyone else there yet and stood facing him. "Okay, Oakey. I'm ready whenever you are."Alyssa called out to him, taking out her wand.

Glenn was going over the shield charm inside her head, she had learned that one in the Charms capture the flag game. She didn't know that you could make it larger though, that was cool. She thought about making her way to the front but instead hung back for a little bit, glancing around at the others who remained by themselves at the moment.

Nope. It seemed like everyone was paired up.

She walked up to the front of the class and by the professor, "Err- I need to be paired off." Glenn said, trying to get the teachers attention.

Professor Romanos said they'd start and scatter over the wide arena. That was their cue. She faced Sky, "Well..here goes. Let's go?" she gestured that they join the crowd of students who were on their way to the arena. Beezus walked ahead of the girl.

After finding a part of the arena that wasn't too crowded nor too deserted, she pulled the sleeves of her uniform up to where it could go. Nobody would want that getting in the way of practicing right? Then she tightened the rubber band on her now ponytailed hair and took out her Birch wand from its amethyst holster.

"Shall we start? Professor Romanos said we'd do the Disarming Charm first." she told her partner. 'And the incantation for that was Expelliarmus and the wand movement was like a small d.' She practiced the wand movement first. "Circle with a snap at the end," Beezus mumbled what she did with her wand.

"Nice to meet you Ella." he nodded curtly."Yes, I'm a Hufflepuff too." Hence his robes. Oh. Right his name. "I'm Messer." he said introducing himself.

Then his eyes went to the Professor went she started explained them what to do first. Disarming charm first, right! Well, Messer already got a partner so he all he need to do was go to that arena. His eyes went back to his partner. "Do you want to go first? Or should I?" he asked.

Sophie giggled at how happy Cardigan seemed to be and was about to answer her question when Professor Romanos gave new instructions. She looked at the older witch as she spoke. "Oh, we should start now!" She said excitedly. They were only practicing the Disarming and Shield Charms. Nothing could go wrong! "Who's going first then?" She asked turning to face the Slytherin.

Practice the disarming charm? Okay... Then she asked her partner.

"You wanna try first?"

Jen walked up to the frount of the class and was a bit embarressed? Yeah, that's the words for it. She looked at the profesor.
Should I say it? Oh well.
"Um...I think I'm the only one with out a partner Professor Romanos..." Jen stated quietly not sure of her self.

Okay, he really started to feel rather silly holding up his sign but then again, how else was he supposed to find a partner his age? So holding up a sign it was. Somehow all around him people were pairing up - even Gwen had found a partner! - and he was kind of scared that he would have to go to the front and tell the Yoga Professor that he was partner-less, when...

Jumping a little when all of a sudden somebody tapped his shoulder from behind, Lewis whirled around, quickly lowering his piece of parchment. It was the Prefect guy. The one who liked it when he copied his movements. "H-hello." Lewis hence replied slowly, doing his best to sound just like the Ravenclaw Prefect.

What WAS his name anyway?!

Before he got around to introducing himself - maybe he would have written it on a piece of parchment too - Professor Yoga spoke up again, instructing them to start practicing the Disarming Spell. Right. Okay.

Tightening his grip on his wand, Lewis turned back to the Prefect and just eyed him for a moment curiously. Was he allowed to talk during this game of theirs? Last time he had been allowed to but maybe the rules had changed. So instead, he just motioned with his hand in a You go first sort of fashion. Or at least Lewis hoped that he would get the drift.

She looked at the proffeser... did she actually expect third year girls to get the spell right before practicing? Hmmm.... Maybe yoga had different methods for feelings .... hm? ''Ummm.... You r-ready?,'' she turned to Daisy

Elise grinned back, fiddling with the stray hairs that escaped her bun. "Thanks," she whispered, relieved. Her fringe fell down to cover her eyes, and she had to pull a pin out from her pocket to keep it pinned up. That sucked.

"I'm Elise," she grinned. No need to mention her house, that much was pretty obvious.

"Great!, Alex said." She looked around for an empty space for them to work. "We're supposed to practice the disarming spell". She was a little nervous about actually trying the spell. "Circular motion with an upwards snap of the wrist", she kept repeating in her mind. "Do you want to go first Silvia or should I?, Alex asked.

Zhenya took a look around the class nervously. Did she want to try first?
"Ahh, perhaps you had better go first," she said. She didn't really know what she was doing, and would rather watch Raven do it.

Laura walked upto the Professor and smiled. "Professor I don't have a Partner." Seriously Laura was confused with the Hufflepuff Boy and so had decided she didn't want to be his partner. "Can you be my Partner Professor, I'd go easy I promise." Laura had no idea if the Professor would be her partner but it was worth a shot.

Sky followed Beezus into the arena and stopped, making sure she was facing the other girl. After all, it would be easier to see her if she were facing her, right? Which would make it easier to aim…

Okay, right. Disarming charm. Didn't seem so bad. "Okay." Sky decided to practice the wand movement herself and waved her wand in the required 'd' pattern like so. "Do you want to cast first, or shall I?" she asked. Wasn't like it was a real duel, anyway. Sky could afford to be polite.

Minerva looked around. "Over here looks like an open place." she told Justin as she walked to the open area. She jumped turning around to face him with her wand all of the sudden in her hand. "Ok you go first, try to take my wand." she winked at him and held in a giggle.
