Laura didn't like putting her name out just for anyone to read and so she decided to have fun, well it was going to be sort of right and hopefully the Professor wouldn't mind.

"Yeah...horror...movie..." he said without looking at Beezus. It was strange. Daichi LOVED watching horror movies but then again, he wasn't scared because the room was dark and spooky looking, he was scared because of the fire that seemed to be everywhere. He tried to give a small smile at the little Ravenclaw but found out that his mouth wouldn't stretch up and he sighed.

"Y-Yes, Professor?" he asked when his name was being called and for a second he wondered how she knew his name. Seeing her looking at his name plate he mental slapped his forehead. Of course. Daichi bit his lip when she asked if he felt more comfortable sitting beside her.

Would he decline? accept? What if the other students started to make fun of him? One look at the fire made his choice and he nodded his head. "Y-yes, please..." he muttered, hoping that none of the others would here him. Standing up from his place, he walked towards the front and stood still awkwardly near her. Where was he suppose to sit?

Sophie's big smile faded when she entered the room, and she opened her eyes wide, trying to see better. It did feel kind of... scary in here. But it was Hogwarts, so she didn't think she had anything to be afraid of... for now, at least.

"Good day, Professor!" she said smiling again while sitting on one of the mats and writing her name on the parchment in front of her.

She then started looking around the classroom very interested.

Granted, Ellie's eyes were still adjusting to the dim light, so she didn't see Treyen come in. Or sit down. She DID hear his voice, though. At which she leaned forward to look past Arya and wave.

Though....he might not have seen that either.

WHY exactly was the classroom so dark?

Oh and the Professor? She got a smile and a wave. Treyen's presence seemed to make Ellie feel a bit better about this...situation. Dumb Defense class got a bit less dumb.

Arya look perfectly pleased with herself, and excited to be in the classroom. Her eyes were slowly adjusting to the lighting, but she didn't need to see that Ellie wasn't as trilled to be here. But she would learn to like this class, she would!

Her brown eyes turned over to the figure of her co-prefect and she grinned at him, recognizing the voice. "Hey, Treyen." She gave him a nudge and leeeaned back some so he could SEE who was sitting on the other side of her. Well did he see?

She was sure he'd be happy knowing his girlfriend was here, in one of the most important classes. Glancing at the professor when she responded, she just grinned even more. Hehe.

Nothing going on here, nope.

Nate found a place to sit. He took out a piece of parchment and wrote on it his name. It read.

After he wrote that he put it down in front of him.

TAylor walked in and put her name on the parchment

Then had a seat on one of the cushions next to her cousin. "Hey Nate."

Logan walked into the classroom, and found a seat. He sat down and wrote his name on the parchment in front of him:
He smiled. He was so excited, DADA was the one subject he was most looking forward to! He had a feeling it would be tons of fun. He was curious on what their first lesson would be like! He looked around the room for any familiar faces.

Harvey entered the dark classroom and had blink a few times before he could get used to the dark room and look around and saw that quite a few students had already entered the very dark room.. He wondered why the room was this dark but he didnt want to cause a scene or trouble "Hello Professor Romanos, how are you?" he greeted the professor before sitting down on one of the mats provided. He then took the parchment and wrote down his name, year and house on it and set it out in front of him

Ella walked into the candlelit classroom with excitement and let her eyes adjust to the dark lighting. She smiled at the professor in passing. "Hello Professor." The room had quite a creepy feel to it but Ella was beyond excited about DADA. She rummaged in her bag for her quill and signed the sign in sheet.

Ella spotted Charlotte sitting on a mat and walked over to sit by her friend. She also spotted some fellow first years that she recognized and smiled at them.

TAylor waved to Logan and then sat quietly for the professor.

Logan noticed Taylor wave at him and he waved back. He then took out an extra piece of parchment and started doodling on it, waiting for the professor.

Arya was nudging him to notice something, wasn't she? So, when she leaned back...he saw, well, the red hair first, then he truly noticed who it was. You know, Arya could trade seats or mats with him so he could sit next to his girlfriend.

At the moment, all she got was a wave as well. Ellie, not Arya. And his smile just got bigger. Like, instantly bigger. Though, what was Ellie doing here?!

It was a VERY nice surprise, though.

His eyes were on the Professor again, only he was smiling widely now. Nod. Yes, exactly, it was a GOOD day.

Now, shhhh, they had a lesson to attend to.

Cardigan walked in and was freaked out about how dark the room was.It was just.....creepy.She walked over to one of the mats,sat down,and signed the parchment:
Cardigan looked around the room anxiously.The darkness was still creeping her out,so she decided to just look straight ahead and think about Aconite.Yes,Aconite,much more peaceful than dark rooms....

Nate strolled into the DADA class casually at first, but the sudden awareness of the atmosphere stopped him in his tracks. A candlelight lesson? What could they possibly be doing in the dark, glow-in-the-dark dueling? That'd be fun...

Shaking himself and blinking a few times, Nate adjusted to the room and found an empty mat somewhere near the middle of the classroom. When he sat down, he noticed the parchment and promptly whipped out his quill, dipping it in his red ink, and proceeded to write out his name.

Alex wasn't sure what to expect from this new professor...new professors always kind of scared him, just because they were NEW and he wasn't used to their ways. As he entered the Defense Against the Darks Arts room and found a bunch of mats placed in front of him, he raised an eyebrow. Now he REALLY didn't know what to expect. What was this, a yoga lesson?

Sitting down on a mat near the front, Alex smiled at the professor. "Good day Professor," he said politely as he pulled the parchment up onto his lap and he scribbled his name down.

Selena was approached by Emma and beamed. "Heeeeeey Miss Malfoy," Selena chirped happily as she pulled out a quill and wrote her name on the parchment thingy. In big letters. And in green. Because it was cool. Maybe she ought to draw a purple pygmy puff on it too, sadly, Selena didn't have any purple ink.

Selena crossed out her last little word. Because it would be inappropriate. And the professor would probably take off points. She looked around her once more. Candles. Mats. It was like they were going to do... voodoo or something equally scary. Selena hoped that they weren't battling demons or something - that didn't sound like much fun.

Minerva went into class and saw the professor "Good day Professor." she found a seat and started pulling out her quill and parchment.

What on Earth? Did I accidentally walk into a yoga class? was Sky's first thought upon walking into the room. It was so dark that she had to move slowly so not to trip over anything or anyone on her way to a mat. Jeez, how were they going to do anything? Sky took her place on a mat and let out a "Hello, professor," before spoting a piece of parchment in front of her. Taking a look around, she noticed that her classmates seemed to be writing their names on the parchment, so Sky followed suit:

Kennedy successfully stifled a yawn as he entered the DADA room. He mentally reprimanded himself for reading pass his bed time and pass the hours of the night. It was just the reading about the care for magical plants was too interesting. There was so many precautions and things to do. Unfortunately, he didn't get to read it all.

He stopped and rubbed his eyes. It was dark-ish. Was he in the right room? He had to be, it's what his class schedule said. He saw several students already and reasoned the this must be DADA class. He noticed the mats and sat down in one of them that was closest to the front of the class.

Were they going to do Yoga?

Hmm, his mom does that...once a month, so he was somewhat familiar with it, but he didn't like it.

"Good day, Professor," he greeted, taking the parchment and writing his information.

As Logan doodled on his parchment, he noticed Cardigan sitting by herself. And she looked a bit frightened. He picked up all his things and moved next to her. "Hey, Car." he said. "You okay?" he asked.

Vickers entered the DADA classroom and didnt expect to see this. It felt to him more like a Divinations class... or perhaps something else. He carefully made his way about, not wanting to accidentally trip or step on anyone. He finally settled down onto a vacant mat next to someone he will later realize to be Mortimer. But what he found very curious was the shape of the parchment before him. A cone. In this setting. Hmm...

He took out a self writing quill and set it against the parchment, whispering his name, year and house to it. He cant really see too well now and relied on the quill to do it properly.

Keefer strolled into class, ready to learn some Defense. He noticed the station for writing his name and quickly scribbled.

Because the Professor would like that extra bit of information, right?

He noticed Treyen and Arya and, seeing an open mat, made his way towards them.

"It's really creepy in here,"Cardigan said in a hushed voice.She knew she didn't need to though.But she knew speaking louder would just attract whatever was in the shadows to her.She did not want that!It was like a horror movie in Hogwarts.Her parents had found out Horror movies would be just another way to torture her when she was around 6.Crazy huh?

"Good morning." she replied in a sing along like voice, watching the girl take her seat before glancing at her watch. Almost time.



Medea, surprisingly, wasn't aware that this one had entered the room until her gaze accidentally fell upon the girl. Peering at the name tag, one eyebrow raised as a short chuckle escaped her. Well...alrighty then.



Smiling sincerely, she patted the empty space next to her before looking out to the rest of the class. That is...until she noticed that the young boy was just standing there. "You can bring your mat up here, you know." she suggested quietly with a little humor, glancing up to the young boy before looking back forward again.



"Good day!" she replied back with the same enthusiasm. Miss Campbell. Alrighty then.



Watching another young lad make his way into the classroom, Medea gave him a short nod greeting before checking a few more names off of her list.



And another silent one! Or maybe not. Silent to the Professor, yet chatty with her friends. She saw how it was then. Medea took a mental note of this. Only to make sure the kid sat with her friends all the time of course. At least to make her feel comfortable.



Watching another young lad walk in, this time in those red robes from what she could see in the dim lighting, Medea smiled towards him as he wrote his name down before checking her watch. Definitely getting close to time.



Looking up from her watch, the Professor automatically smiled. Reflex and all. Though it wasn't that hard to do. "Good morning. I'm fine, thank you. Hope you're vell?" she greeted in return.



It seemed all the stragglers were all the cheerful kids. Or was it just the young ones that had no clue as to what was going on apart from the older kids that actually knew better? "Good morning." she smiled in return.



Oops. Perhaps she had thought that fact a little too early. This one seemed so taken aback that they didn't even say hello. Completely understandable of course. Medea gave the young girl a big smile anyways.



Seeing another young lad enter the room, this time in what looked to be blue robes, for a moment, Medea didn't do anything. No. She was trying to remember just which house the blue robes belonged to. After a moment, she smiled to the kid before glancing at her watch for the third time in the past five minutes.



"Good day to you." she replied, smiling to the young boy, only glancing to the name tag once it was placed properly to where she could see it. Wasn't there another fourth year Greingoth in this class? What a co-inky-dink!



"Good day." she replied, smiling to the young girl before checking even more names off of her list as the names were continued to be written on the name plates.



"Good morning!" she replied, glancing up from her parchment list only a few seconds after she had spoken. Wait...who in the room was she talking to? For the love of Merlin...



This one she had no trouble with spotting. For one, she wasn't looking down at her list and two, she was looking right at him as he greeted her. If only she could know who had spoken before... "Good day." she smiled in return before looking around the room again.



Having been a little more alert of who was walking into the classroom since she became a tad lost with one of the students, Medea smiled over to the young lad that came in with the blue robes. Bluuuuuue robes. That was that...what house was that?

And what was he doing?

Eying the quill he had, she narrowed her eyes at it before glancing to her watch. Hmmm...



Before she knew it, another student with those yellow robes walked in, and after a quick smile and nod to the boy, she glanced at her watch one more time. Right. Should get started. Right after...crossing off a few names from her list. Oh! Quidditch captain. That is what that name plate said wasn't it? Or was she reading it wrong...

With one final glance at her watch, she slightly to herself before taking it off and placing it beside her on the ground. It was only after she made sure Daichi wasn't going to stutter the teeth right out of his mouth did she take out her wand and flick it towards the candles that sat behind them a good ten feet away, making the light shine brightly so it much easier to see HER and Daichi.

Nothing happened to the flames. Just the light from them grew; dispersing any shadows that may have lurked in regions close to them.

"Alright! Everyone. Get as comfortable as possible." And savor the moments because it was going to become mighty uncomfortable for them as they moved through the first lesson. She herself sat upright, crossed leg, and staring at everyone. When did so many kids get here? "Ve are going to go ahead and start."

"First of all, who can give me some thoughts on vot you might think ve vill be learning today?"
