LuLu stood up properly, oh thank Merlin the woman let them stand up! ... To then make them go on the other side.. SIGH

"The jelly fingures curse," she replied getting back into the triangle shape position on the other side

Somnium 01-15-2012 02:54 AM

Taylor came out of the triangle pose she was in and did the same pose for the other side. She smiled and answered the teacher, "There is a knockback jinx- which obiviously knocks the person back."

FireboltAvis88 01-15-2012 03:07 AM

Alyssa switched sides and assumed the similar position, before raising her hand and answering. "Professor another example of a jinx is the Impediment jinx or Impedimentia. It slows or stops an object or person from moving forward."

Same triangle position! Other side.

He blinked at the Professor and curved his back shyly. Was he answering things wrong? He would've hunkered even lower had she demonstrated to stretch out their hands to their sides and sit again facing the other side?

He wasnt quite sure what was the point of that.

As he moved he realized that Laci was beside him. "H-Hi" he whispered to her with a small smile then settled back down just as the Professor instructed.

Next question now? "There is the trip jinx Professor." he replied shortly after he raised his hand.

Alex stood up and switched her position to the opposite side. She was rather enjoying this class, including the yoga. As her hand was already raised, she waved it slightly to indicate her desire to speak. "Another example would be the Stinging jinx. It causes swelling and pain, as if a person has had a bad allergic reaction".

Enigma 01-15-2012 03:50 AM

Why does answering a question always follows the yoga positions? Ira was not liking this exercise or yoga or whatever it was. She would have grumbled about it for sure if she hadn't been in class, and risk losing points. So she sulked and did the required the position. At least, it was better than the horrible boat position!

She looked up when the next question was asked. Examples of jinxes? Yeah, she could answer that. She somehow raised her hand up and answered, "There is a Levicorpus jinx, professor!"

"There also the Jelly-Brain Jinx." Eino shared with his hand up in the air. In fact, he had once been a victim of this jinx, though he had also been the offender. He was convinced that it would turn his brain into jelly beans, but that far from the spell's actual affect. Luckily the jinx hadn't been too potent, and he recovered within an hour.

HOPEendures 01-15-2012 03:56 AM

Jezzabelle stretched up and went back down to the other side, her back popping as she twisted. Her hand in the air, "There is one jinx that the incantation it Flipendo. It knocks an object backwards."

Beezus couldn't help but feel relieved when at last..Professor Romanos had them stop doing that ridiculous exhausting boat position. She was about to sit back comfortably on the mat when the Professor asked them to do the...whaaaaat? Triangle position?

The eaglet opened her mouth as she stared at the Professor doing the said position. Really? They were going to do that? She sighed in resignation. She just had to follow. And as she stood up, she shifted that her feet and shoulder were apart the she leaned, following the Professor's lead. She right hand reached for her ankle as her left hand was directed upward. "Owww..My arms.." Beezus moaned as her face scrunched up into a small frown.

Questions then were asked but she couldn't think correctly because of her position but she really tried her best to absorb the exchange of answers in the class. The discussion went on as blood continued to travel up to her head, she was feeling dizzy. Not to mention, the topic of curses, hexes and jinxes made her legs wobble.

When at last, they were asked to stand up, she stretch their hands sideward and answered immediately, "Professor..there is the Tarantallegra jinx. Also known as the Dancing Feet Spell.." she said as she grinned. Pwew! Rest for---nope. Not yet, because as soon as she had answered, they were asked to do the triangle position again, this time to the other side. "Merlin.." was also she could mutter.

Lockhartian 01-15-2012 04:47 AM

Well, now, this was extremely ridiculous. Can you imagine what Mr. Spenser would say if he saw them doing Yoga in DADA?? ACTUALLY, what would Tate say, eh?

However, as ridiculous as it was, he tried to follow the Professor's lead...especially now that they were simply standing. Awesome. He wanted to stay that way, minus the arms to the side. Honestly, Professor, what is the point to this?

"Relashio," he said, hand slightly raised, "The Revulsion Jinx. It forces objects or people to...well, release their hold on whatever it is they're holding. Or simply repel objects with another object." As he answered, he looked towards a girl that mentioned one particular jinx...and a question came up...

..."Professor," he might as well have said Yoga Instructor, but whatever, "Liberacorpus doesn't fall into this category, does it? Being the counter-jinx and all." He just...wasn't sure. Granted, Levicorpus HAD to happen for Liberacorpus to take place, so, Treyen doubted that it could count as a jinx as well.

Laci moved to the position told... and whispered back to Vickers "Do you like this class? I think it's fascinating! Reminds me of clown class!" Then in regular speaking tone she raised her hand and said "The clowns at home use the jelly-leg jinx on themselves!"

Zhenya copied the Professor's movement, then said "Professor there is the Trip Jinx and it is used to trip someone over. The wand movement is just to point at the person," she said. Standing up was much easier to speak.

Moving back into the triangle position, but on the other side this time, Nora raised her hand. "The Rictusempra jinx. It tickles." And she had the misfortune of being its victim once. It didn't really turn out well; only hysterical laughter for minutes.

Lilly raised her hand. "There is the Sea urchin jinx, Professsor," she answered. That was from some book she'd read. "It causes tiny spikes to erupt all over the victim," she added. Best to explain what the effect was. That was all Lilly could think of that hadn't been said already.

Kennedy did the T shape with his arms before switching to the opposite position. This, he did like. It wasn't as hard at the boat. After thinking about Professor Romano's question he raised his hand and then lowered it so he wouldn't mess up his position. "The finger removing jinx is an exmple," he said. Hmm, how would that work? Hmm.

RachieRu 01-15-2012 09:03 AM

Oooh. Look at this! Indy looked like a T. She liked this lesson, although it was a bit tiring. Good thing she was nice and fit due to her quidditch and stuff. Indy looked up from where she was in the T position, and thought of a jinx. She knew there was quite a few, so that shouldn't be too hard. She mused for a moment, before putting her hand up. "There's an Anti-disapparition jinx I think. It's used to....stop people apparating." Seemed pretty self-explanatory really.

He raised his hand as he got into the same position as the Professor. The class turned out to be a mixture of both physical exercising an DADA. Adam missed the old times where they just sat on a desk or table. "There's the trip jinx. As the name suggests you can trip someone with it." An it could come in handy for joking with someone or in a time of urgency.

Jonathan stood up. He was quite happy that the triangle position is over. His feet was kind of shaking already. BUT! His eyes widened as the professor told them that they have to do the triangular position again, only on the opposite side this time.

0______0.

Jonathan did the triangle position hoping that he wouldn't fall this time at all. And onto the next question, example of jinxes. Jonathan waved his hand again to answer "An example would be Inflatus" he said breathing deeply "... it inflates creatures" he said and making sure his balance is good.

Laura looked at the Professor, another stupid question. "Well how tongue-twisting jinx." Laura seriously thought that the Professor should have one of those use against her, but well no one was allowed to jinx a Professor it wasn't done so all Laura did was stare, with one of those when we practicing spells look.

JustAlice 01-15-2012 11:27 AM

Aurora copied the professor once again, this was actually pretty cool... kinda relaxing. Right. Jinxes... Hmm, jelly legs? Impedimenta? "Is Relashio a jinx, professor?" she asked, because she wasn't quite sure...

elllla_Wtwins 01-15-2012 11:58 AM

Thea didn't know the name of this jinx, but she raised a hand. 'Professor, in 1995 Hermione Granger used a jonx on the Dumbledore's Army parchment.' Clearing t=her throat, she tucked her hair behind her ear. 'If somebody betrayed the group, the word 'sneak' would appear on their forehead.. in large boils.' The nodded.'So this is a good example, because a negative thing happened to whoever snitched on the group. Marietta Edgecomb..' Lowering her hand, she placed it in her lap. That was an okay answer, right?

Quick Quotes Quill 01-15-2012 12:48 PM

Hmm... jinxes..., the third year thought, trying to figure out something to answer the question. 'Langlock?', she finally said, raising her hand. 'When casting this spell, the oponent's tongue is affixed to the roof of the mouth' I guess... What other jinxes where there... some that haven't been mentoned?

Oh- I know! The Knockback Jinx, the third year remembered, but realized she had already mentioned something else. I should have though of this FIRST, she told herself.

Nathan got up from his triangle stretch feeling fine. It eas just exercise and Nathan usually ran a mile + around the lake just for fun. He spread his arms and went down on the other side. Oh wait, another question, "I believe a back firing jinx is one and I would imagine the results being that whatever spell the victim tries would backfire in their face which can be horrible which is all I know about the spell.".

Elise picked herself off the mat, beaming at the Professor. "I'm fine, Professor," she said. Getting up, she made sure to wipe her hands on her robes before diving down to her other leg. Rasing her hand, she continued. "There's the knockback jinx," she smiled.

Well that was painful. Could they do a bridge or something Elise knew next? She wasn't all that fond of stretching.
