CoMC Two: Pygmy Puffs Professor Williamson finished putting the last little spell on the enclosure containing more than a dozen happy, humming pygmy puffs of every color before stalking over to the doors of the barn. He threw them open with a grin, shivered a bit as the nippy air started to filter in, and then moved back inside where it was warm. The man took a seat on one of the bales of hay scattered in a semi-circle near the pygmy puff enclosure and nodded to the students who were filtering in. "If you have a pygmy puff, feel free to pick out your own hay bale and create a name card for you and your puff. If you don't have a pet puff already, grab one out of that corral over there and settle down. Feel free to name it, make a name card, pet it, get to to know it, all that." He picked up his own pygmy puff for the day, a lime green one named Nerf, and started petting it til it purred. Hehehee. Hopefully the class would enjoy this low-key lesson a bit more than the ah, last eventful one. Oh yes, and he named a name card for himself too! Williamson flicked his wand at the stack of scrap parchments in the corner and caused one to decorate itself for him and Nerf. Quote:

Selena was so ready for this pygmy puff lesson. Selena hummed to herself, skipping around the grounds as she made her way down to her destination. "Pygmy puff, pygmy puff~ Does whatever a pygmy puff does!" Selena sang to herself as she balanced Kent on her head, walking towards the class. "Can he sing this song? No he can't~ He's a ball of fluff. Loooook oooouuuuuut, he's a pygmy puff~" Selena continued singing before she looked around. Pygmy puffs. They were EVERYWHERE. It was Selena's dream come true. Kent could now rightfully RULE OVER all of these puffs. It was her pygmy puff's job after all. "Heeeellllooooo professor!!!" Selena exclaimed, beaming at the professor as she pet Kent. Selena blinked at the green pygmy puff in the professor's hand. Selena wanted to POKE the green ball of fluff but she would restrain herself. "Does your pygmy puff eat snot too?" Because it was the COLOR of snot. And with that little statement, Selena plopped down on a seat close to the front and started to make a name card for Kent. Quote:

Tristan entered the barn, checking his watch. Yup, this was the place. But it seemed empty. Well, except for the professor of course. Tristan was sure he was just a tad bit early. The boy gave a little wave in acknowledgement, ignoring the knots starting to bind in his stomach. Maybe they would go away if he didn't say anything? Wandering over to the pen, the boy peered inside. Pygmy.... puffs? Is that what they were called? Some of the girls in his house had them. From what he could tell, they were some kind of a wizarding pet, though he thought they looked more like over-sized, long haired hamsters. He hoped he wasn't allergic to them. Tristan was already allergic to dogs and cats. Following the lead of another girl that had entered, he scooped up a Pygmy Puff from the pen and sat down to create a name card. The little thing stared up at him with shining eyes and ruffled orange fluff. Heh. He liked this one. But it appeared that they were supposed to name them. ERM. Huh. He was going to have to think on that one. Quote:

Oakey made his way into the barnyard and heard the professor's instructions to claim a pigmy puff for this lesson. He walked over to the collection of pigmy puff's and eyed a dark purple one. It looked at him and he continued to look at it...There they were bonded now right? Oakey would never understand the affinity girls had to these things. To him they just looked like little cat toys. Picking up the Dark Purple one he set it on his should and took one of the name cards and filled it out. Quote:

Ella entered the barn with a smile. She was anxious to get to this lesson as her fascination with magical creatures had been growing for a while now. She smiled at the Professor, greeting him with a friendly "Hello professor! How are you?" She then grabbed a Pygmy puff as directed and brought the little yellow guy back to her seat. Hmmm what to name him...He looks like a Barnabus to me! Ella tickled the little pygmy puff with a smile. "Hello Barnabus, I'm Ella." She then got out her quill and filled out the name card. Quote:

TAylor entered the barn and nodded at the professor, "Good afternoon professor." Her lavendar pygmy puff was sitting on her head. She reached up and took down Mercy. Tay took a seat and put the puff on her lap. She made the name tag like the professor instructed. Taylor was happy that it seem that this lesson would be low-key. Quote:

Pygmy puffs...the ONE animal Alex felt like he could get along with no matter what. They were just so cute and adorable! They looked fluffy and cute! He happily wandered over to the corral and selected a fluffy purple puff, picking it up and holding it in his hands. The puff immediately seemed to warm up to him, bouncing onto his shoulder and perching itself there, peering out into the world. "You're a curious fellow, aren't you?" Alex chuckled. He knew EXACTLY what to name this little guy. He walked over and picked up a card, filling out all the required information. Quote:

(pygmy puff name="cloud" in French) Care of Magical Creatures, down in the barnyard. Stella was definitely curious, even though she didn't have much connection to magical creatures in general. Not like the others who had them for pets. Lyra was just a cat, and she was pretty sure Oberon didn't count. Not when he was just a charmed tiny sculpture. The humming as she entered the barn was nice, though. "Good afternoon, Professor Williamson," she said with a smile, going over to the enclosure as instructed and looking at the pygmy puffs inside. She'd always thought about getting one. odds were the professor wouldn't let her keep the one she picked for this lesson, however, but at least maybe this would help her decide if she really did want one. Picking one that was an extremely pale purple out, almost looking like a cloud, she carried it over to a haybale. What to name you?, she thought, picking it up so it was eye level. She didn't want to go with any of her real ideas, not if she couldn't keep it. But she settled on a name, then settled it in her lap as she created a name card. Quote:

Kurumi felt a little nervous around Professor Williamson now after what had happened with a certainly little creature in the pond. She had never seen him EXPLODE like that and had taken him for the more free-spirited type. Still, she had learned one thing from the experience: never get on the man's bad side. Entering the barn, Kurumi wished that she hadn't had to give up her pygmy puff...but Walnut was just TOO dangerous around the poor little pink ball of fluff, confusing him for cotton candy and what not. "Good day, Professor Williamson," Kurumi smiled as she approached all the pygmy puffs. "Is...he safe?" Obviously referring to the minnow eating creature. Kurumi then selected the first pygmy puff that squeak!purred in her direction and held the coral pink creature in her hands. Finding a seat, Kurumi first made up her nametag. Quote:

Anya wondered if it was possible to die from cute overdose. Why? Because the squeal that left her mouth seeing all those ickle puff balls nearly choked her. They were just SOOOO cute! She leaned over and grinned fondly at the happy little creatures. It was too bad she couldn't have more than one. She wanted all of them! All the puff balls! Oh well. "Hello Professor." she greeted as she passed Mr. Crumpet Owner Man Guy. She took a seat and got to work on her nametag thing. Quote:

Ira trudged towards the barn for the next CoMC class. But she was a little excited for this lesson, as it had something to do with the cute little pygmy puffs. They were so... beautiful! She walked inside the barn and greeted the professor, "Good Morning Professor". Then she made her way towards the cupboard to choose a pygmy puff. But most of them were Pink! And no, Ira didn't like pink. But there were a few violet ones too. Ira took one of the dark pink colored ones. Yeah, it was cute! She then took a parchment and went and took g=her seat and then made her nametag: Quote:

Selina held Owen tight in her hands as she walked into the barn. He had wriggling all morning and the little Pygmy puff that she had gotten when she was a first year. In fact, now that she thought about it, she had gotten Owen the summer before her first year. It seemed like yesterday, but the little odd Pygmy puff that was red and yellow had been with her for four years now. Wow time did fly. Her hands stroked the small little yellow and red misfit pygmy puff and nodded at WWW, "Hello sir, good morning." She then took one of the little note cards and made her way to her station, while grabbed some hay on the way. Quote:

Lily trudged through the snow to get down to her CoMC class. When she entered the barn, She noticed that it was much warmer inside. Seeing that there was already a group of people, Lily came in quietly. She saw the professor and giving him a grin, she greeted him. "Hello Professor Williamson." She walked over to the pen of pygmy puffs, since she didn't own one. Reaching in, she picked up a light blue one. Petting it's little fluff-ness, she walked over to a haybale and sat down. She pulled out a quill so that she could write on her nametag. Quote:

Okay so he didn't have a pygmy puff of his own, Corvin was enough of a pet for him, so Gideon couldn't of course bring one with him to class. He could only hope that wasn't a detriment. Approaching the barnyard as directed, he heard the professor speak to them as they entered, hearing the mention of finding a puff if one didn't have one already. Alright...certainly doable. "Good day professor," Gideon greeted as he walked over to the enclosure as fellow students were also doing. The 5th year looking over his choice of creatures and having no clue which one to chose. Finally settling on a deep violet one, he gently picked it up and set it in the palm of his hand before making his way over to the hay bales to take a seat near Selina. "Hey," he said with a soft smile. He took up a card and began filling it out...pausing as they were to think of a name for their puff. Now THAT was a chore. It took him a couple of minutes of contemplation to finally come up with a half-decent one that could work, adding it to the paper and setting it up. He just hoped it wasn't female. Quote:

Following the students in to the barn, Daichi shivered at the cold outside but felt relieved when he found out that it was nice and warm inside.the barn. It seemed that the Professor had not lied to him when he had told the.next lesson was going to be.in this place. He wrapped the scarf around his neck and let it hang loosely over his shoulders. His hair was sticking out.in EVERY direction for he had been ruffling.his hair in front.of the mirror before he.came.here. He hated it that peole were always ruffling his hair and now they couldn't do it anymore for it already was a mess! He is such a genius! "Hello Professor Wiliamson" he greeted the man with a warm yet shy smile and bowed politely. He listened to his words and since he did not have.a puff he started to look for one. His dark brown eyes caught a grey looking pygmy puff in one of the corners and Daichi's heart melted. He smiled as he walked to the other side and picked the grey puff up before walking to somewhere to sit. As he wrote down his information, the Pygmy puff that he had placed on his shoulder, was snuggling close to his neck and Daichi giggled at the tickling fur. Quote:

Sierra looked up at the professor as he instructed them to fetch a Pygmy Puff and, even worse, name the thing. It'd taken her years to name her own owl, and that was because she didn't consider it a pet but rather a service. She didn't even like animals, so why did she... Oh, BLAH. She headed up to the Puffs and grabbed one anyway, not even caring what color it was. She was actually pleasantly surprised as she looked down at it. She'd selected a pretty green one, which made her think a little more of the creature. ...and she had the perfect name for it. Quote:

Asher was very excited about this CoMC lesson. He loved his little Pygmy Puff Cosmo..... actually every pygmy puff was cute. He made his way down to where the lesson was being held, Cosmo riding on his shoulder. As he walked into the barn his pygmy puff jumped down and ran over to a familiar girl and her Pygmy, Poof. Asher greeted the Professor. "Good afternoon Professor." He said with a smile before heading over to where his puff had ran off too. He plooped down beside Anya and Poof. He smirked a bit. "It looks like it was a good thing I got Poof for you over the summer." He patted the light red puff on the top of it's head as his own puff blueish purplely puff crawled up on his lap. Asher pulled out a quill and jotted his info on a card. Quote:

Alyssa walked into the Barnyard and was glad that CoMC class hadn't officially started yet. She walked over to greet the Professor, "Hello Professor Williamson. I'm glad that we're having another Care of Magical Creatures lesson, because I really loved the last one we had." she smiled up at him. 'Hopefully this time we won't end up with dummies again.' Alyssa thought to herself. Since she didn't have a Pygmy Puff of her own, she went over to to the corrall and picked up a bright reddish orange one up and returned back to everyone was sitting and wrote down her information on her name tag: Quote:

She walked into the baryard,"Hello Professor Williamson." She picked up a puff from the corral since she didn't have her own. She picked up a green one and sat with the others. Quote:

Sorry I can't quote you all; welcome welcome to class!! Quote:
Just sayin'! "And yes," Will chuckled and hosted his puff up to his shoulder, which caused the creature to start purring more loudly. "Nerf LOVES snot." In fact, his pink tongue was sneaking across his cheek toward his nose right now.... William swatted it away and grinned at the name of the pygmy puff of the next student. Quote:

He liked her Puff's name too. In fact he just like ALL of them! Quote:

"Anyway, class, it looks like most of you are here so let's go ahead and start. How about each person tells me ONE thing they already know about pygmy puffs OR one thing they would LIKE to know about pygmy puffs. Raise your hands please!" Williamson made his way over to the doors as he said this and slammed them both shut, keeping the cold out. ooc: Class has now officially started. Do NOT announce your late arrival or your House WILL lose points. =) |
Pygmy Puff? Wow. Evelyn liked those creatures..they were quite adorable and she was glad that they were going to be working with Pygmy Puffs rather than some creepy looking creatures. She hesitantly walked over to the corral and her face lit up as she picked up a really cute looking pink Pygmy Puff. Aw. The girl picked up a name card before she sat down. She settled the creature down next to her before she wrote : Quote:

Tristan clasped his hands together and made a swing for his orange friend. Aristotle curiously climbed into the young boy's hands and squealed in delight as he was gently rocked back and forth. Doing an awkward jerky motion to indicate that he was raising his hand to answer Professor Williamson's question, Tristan answered, "Well they're magical creatures. And girls seem to like them. And they sort of resemble overly fuzzy hamsters." The fact that he was participating in class through speaking was rare. However, the fact that Tristan was giving an honest "I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-talking-about-so-I'm-just-going-to-say-something" answer was even more unexpected. Well how's that for crazy? |

Momotaro II continued to coo on Kurumi's shoulder, distracting her considerably from hearing Professor Williamson begin the lesson. She ran her index finger over the top of his head and returned his cooing noises - which seemed to please him as he shut is big doey eyes. N'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw. Kurumi had to resist the urge to say that out loud actually, and bit her lip in doing so. The slightly sharp pain that shot through her lip woke her up enough to hear the tail end of Professor Williamson's question and she raised her left hand so as not to disturb the pygmy puff on her right shoulder. "I am sort of curious as to why pygmy puffs seem to be an exception to the law regarding the Ban on Experimental Breeding law," she said as she rubbed her cheek against the cooing creature. "Is it because they are merely an undersize Puffskein? Or perhaps too adorable?" Because, just one look into those big eyes and you sort of wanted to do whatever the creature asked of you |
