Laura went into her pocket and took out her wand, she would have cast the shield spell but hers would be weak and there was also the problem she couldn't talk but maybe the Prefects could use it to keep hers intacts whilst the Professor got back up after being tackled to the ground. Laura quickly put out her wand for the Prefect to take it if she needed it, though Laura wasn't moving from her spot behind the Prefect now until the mean creature left, Laura wished that she could talk because she would be shouting at the Skrewt now. |
Amelia thought that everything was going to plan as the Skrewt was levitated. Only a shot to its belly was needed now. But of course the Skrewt would have its say in the matter, ad hitting it with spells obviously had made it madder. "It's going to shoot!" she called out as she saw it getting ready to incinerate them. "Protego!" |
Ella had not signed up for this! Hadn't she already faced this skrewt once and lost? She had had enough skrewt encounters to last a lifetime and she couldn't help glancing nervously over at Oakey to see his reaction to this whole thing. The small badger watched with wide eyes as the skrewt began to lift off the ground. "It's working!" She whispered, relieved. The relief was short lived though when several things seemed to happen at once. Ella head someone yelling to duck and did as she was told without thinking. Then, she saw a stream of fire shooting into the crowd of students. Next the prefects were trying to figure out how to stop the frightening creature. It was all too much. Ella started to feel a bit light headed and felt herself fall to her side. At least she was still on the ground, out of the fires range. |
So here comes drama All of this is... Too... Much... "NOOOOO!!!!!!!" the Slytherin exclaims as he runs towards the poor levitated creature. Hades points his wand at the poor skrewt to perform a counter-spell hoping to get it back on the ground so it could run back to its home in the Forbidden Forest. "Finite!" he said clearly. How could they do all this to this poor thing? The Impediment Jinx could have stopped it! |
She was... here all along =P Quote:

Alyssa looked up. Now that Arya had created a Shield Charm...which should have been the first thing she should have done, instead of responding to her reflexes which was to duck, Alyssa got up from her lying position and pointed her wand and added to Arya's protective shield by casting her own."PROTEGO". A shield formed in front of her and with a quick sideways slash of her wand, she stretched hers combining it with Arya's and the other students'. It was definitely a good thing that Professor Romanos had taught them this spell this term because it was definitely being used right now. |
for Alyssa, Kurumi and the Professor SPOILER!!: THIS IS CRAZY Aw sooooo cool they got the Skrewt to float in the air. Now all Williamson had to do was cast a stunning spell or something at the It all seemed so awesome until the Skrewt turned itself around and started raining fire down on their heads! Oakey was about to duck and cover when he felt a hard shove and landed on the ground. He turned onto his back to see who the tackler was, and saw that Williamson was also on the ground with him, with Alyssa in the middle. He appreciated the save and all but the Professor would have been of more use on his feet then on the ground. He sat himself up, but did not stand up completely( the lower he was to the ground the safer he was from the Skrewt Fire). Overhearing Kurumi's idea Oakey spoke up. No, I think that'll just make him angrier. He protested. He turned around to see if the professor had yet gotten himself up Could we and by we Oakey means someone else with a wand possibly plug it's blowhole, without harming it. The fire was coming from inside the Skrewt not around him. |
Laura decided to go back behind the Prefect, hoping that the Professor would know what to do with Hades, she didn't want to get into trouble for being this close to the Skrewt again and hopefully Hades would also go back behind the Professor, the Professor had to know some way of getting rid of the Skrewt. Laura looked at the Prefect and went behind her, hoping she wouldn't be in trouble for leaving her place, she then look around and saw Ella wasn't looking so good, she would have gone over to her to see what was wrong but well she felt safer with the Hufflepuff Prefect. |
SPOILER!!: Sophie Ella looked beside her to see that Sophie had made it safely out of the way of the flames too. Phew, that was good! She gave her friend a reassuring smile and whispered back. "I'll be fine, just got a little overwhelmed." She was going to stand but realized the skrewt still was causing chaos and now some boy was helping it? What on earth? Ella decided to stay where she was, wand still pointed forward. |
Professor is lying face down in the mud still xD SPOILER!!: Oakey Alyssa was busy concentrating on holding up her Shield Charm but she was tiring as the minutes passed. "Oakey could be right. Is there anyway to extinguish his flame without making him any angrier than he is? Like turn it to ice or flowers or something?"Alyssa suggested to the rest of the students AND the Professor who's face was still in stuck in the ground. Was he okay? "Uh Professor, are you conscious?" |
Lets give BanaBatGirl a chance to post and do NOT play for her professor. Quote:

But there wasn't much she could do, she wasn't willing to risk the safety of the behaving students for ones who thought they could do a better job at keeping the students and creature safe than those their senior. The professor could deal with them. Quote:

OOC: Please don't play for BanaBatGirl's charrie. She'll decide if Williamson is face down in the mud or not when she makes her next post. |
Fire has been put out several posts ago ;) And plugging up its blow hole wasn't going to make it mad? Kurumi decided to just not answer since her question had been directed towards Professor Williamson and instead set to banishing all of the smoke that was blocking their vision. This little creature was really stressed out and Kurumi couldn't blame it. People were acting crazy and not keeping calm. Did everyone forget not only his words but ALSO those of the Headmaster? Constant vigilance everyone! Constant vigilance! Like she said earlier, the class was a war zone. "Evanesco," Kurumi said, removing a large portion of smoke before twisting herself around to vanish more of it. They really didn't need people getting sick because of the smoke on top of all this. "Evanesco." That should do it, yeah. Kurumi glanced at Arya, who was still focusing on keeping the Shield Charm up and glanced back towards Professor Williamson and waited for him to reorient himself. |
Thank YOU Patrice. Please people, give a person a chance to respond. Quote:

Even if she had saved his eyebrows from being singed off, she had also cost him his chance to blast the skrewt away. Now all hell was breaking loose, and William was on the ground and not in the best position to stop it. He pulled himself up from the ground right away, shot another nasty glare in the girl's direction, and hurried forward toward some kid with a death wish. Quote:

"You're jeopardizing the lives of your fellow students which, I regret to inform you, ARE ACTUALLY MORE VALUABLE THAN THE LIFE OF A SKREWT." He resisted the urge to give the kid on the ground a kick and instead turned toward the heroic prefects who were thankfully at his lesson. "Kurumi, keep shooting water the skrewt. Selena, come get this kid. Arya, thank you for thinking of the shield spell." Now, to take care of the skrewt once and for all... Williamson took a step back, dragging Hades toward the line of students with him and sort of giving him a roll toward his prefect. "I'm going to blast the skrewt with an Impedimenta that should knock it out and at the same time, I want everyone who's casting the levitating charm to direct their wands back to the forest. Hopefully, the skrewt will get sent back to where it came from once and for all." Got that, kids? "On three again. Ready? One.... two.... THREE!" |
My apologies. Just got carried away :( Alyssa was embarrassed when the Professor yelled at her for pulling him down. She felt disheartened. All she had wanted to do was help, but had just made things worse. She took a deep breath, held back her tears of embarrassment and shame and ended her shield charm,"FINITE". Then she pointed her wand back at the Skrewt and cast the levitating charm saying,"WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA" when the Professor ended his count on three, and concentrated as hard as she could on levitating the Skrewt back to the forest. |

Amelia nodded as Professor Williamson told the class what they were supposed to do now. "Finite," she said as she stopped the shield that she had produced. Now she pointed her wand right at the skrewt and called out, "Wingardium Leviosa!" Hopefully it would be sent back into the forest and would leave them all alone again. |
Jory knew Alyssa felt embarrassed about what had just happened."Cheer up, Alyssa,'' he said trying to make his Puff friend feel better. "Stuff happens.'' He directed his attention back to the Skrewt. "Finite!'' he said ending the shield charm. Pointing his wand a the creature,he cast the levitation spell again. "Wingardium Leviosa!'' Concentrating hard Jory waited for Professor Williamson to count to three. He hoped the Skrewt would go back to the Forest now. |
Relieved that Professor Williamson was back on his feet, she simply nodded when she was encouraged to keep casting Aguamenti at the creature. Kurumi had, honestly, been expecting a much larger reaction from the man. Detentions. Point loss. Fire and smoke coming out of his nostrils... Kurumi had been mildly afraid for her life in the sanctuary over the lobalug, and the predicament they were in now was at least ten times worse. With rapid fluidity, Kurumi continued to cast Aguamenti at the creature, hoping that one or more of her jets of water would hit him and dose the flames. |
Text Cut: not-happy Professor :/ As chaos continued to reign, Stella started to get up off the ground from her untimely dive away from the skrewt's flames. She actually felt a little embarrassed that she hadn't thought of using a Shield charm, and hadn't been able to help the Hufflepuff prefect hold it up from her position on the ground either. She just hoped that nobody had noticed, or at least, if they had, they would have just thought she'd been distracted by everything else. She had been, that was for sure, but she still was embarrassed that she hadn't gone for the use of charms as opposed to acting like a Muggle. Especially as most everyone else hadn't thrown themselves to the ground, and it became rather evident that Professor Williamson hadn't really appreciated being pulled to the ground himself. Not to mention there was a Slytherin who obviously wasn't anywhere close to being on the professor's good side, trying to cancel out their Levitation charms as if the skrewt hadn't attacked first. She'd gone back to casting the Levitation charm herself once she'd stood up again. Hopefully the skrewt wasn't going to fire again, but she wasn't going to run scared again anyhow. And she had a feeling if the skrewt understood them, it would be afraid to cross the professor again too. Especially as he'd explained his plan to everyone, and she'd nodded, not wanting to speak and interrupt her casting. She wasn't sure an Impediment Jinx would keep the skrewt from returning if it really wanted to, but she could hope that it would at least be too afraid after everything to try. And, as the professor hit the count of three, she shifted her wand towards the forest as directed. Hopefully the plan would work. |
Ella continued to watch the scene from her spot on the ground, visibly shaken by the chaos. It seemed that despite the Professor's advice, being calm was not what most of the students would be in a dangerous creature situation. This made her nervous for them and herself. Hearing the Professor's game plan, Ella got up slowly, dusting off her robes before pointing her wand at the skrewt. Boy it really must be angry now. The sooner it returned to the forest, the better. When the time was right, Ella said the incantation loudly, aiding the other students. "Wingardium Leviosa!" |
Laura wished the Professor would take the silence charm off her so she could help but well until he did she was going to stay behind the prefect that she was with now, she really hoped the Skrewt would go away now because well it was starting to annoy her and even though it was up in the air, she still felt it wasn't done with them yet, though she hoped she was wrong. |
As all this happened, Lily just kinda stood in the back of the group, well out of the way of everything happening. She figured it would be better this way since she did not know how to perform the spell that the professor had asked yet and did not feel that this was the proper time to be learning it. So she just stayed out of the way, and from the looks of it, the professor was not having a good time dealing with everything. It was the smallest thing that Lily could do for him just to stay out of the mess. |
There was just something that bothered the Ravenclaw boy with the technique of simply levitating the creature, and sure enough, one of the worst things he was afraid of happening actually came true-- it started to rain fire. He flicked the Wingardium spell away and replaced it with the wand stroke for "Protego", at the same time dodging behind the Professor for added protection. Yeah when it comes to the danger of getting burned, Vickers wasnt risking himself when it wasnt his plan that was being followed when trying to dispense of a problem. He could see the student leaders handling things well enough then looked onto the Professor wearily. He had a right mind to just collect his precious school supplies and stand away in a safe spot while things were dealt with by those in the position to do so, but as he took a look around, there were already enough youngsters that wasnt making the situation any better. With a deep breath, he raised his wand again on the Professor's cue and started with the Levitation charm, putting as much force as he could muster directing the Skrewt towards the forest. |
Oh, boy. Did a Hufflepuff kiddo just hugged him from behind? Good thing the girl is small, so he falls only as far as on his knees. "Get off me, you little-!" scolds the elder student as he struggles to finally free himself from the disgusting embrace. Had Williamson been busy with his face full of mud, Hades could've saved Blizz! As he gets back on his feet and makes a run for the the skrewt, he suddenly he feels as if someone tackles him from behind. Hades falls flat on his face. In the mud. Struggling once again as he tries to get up, Hades finds himself binded by a rope. To make things worse, there comes Williamson literally dragging him away like a sack of potatoes. "Leggo of me!" he kicks the ground in protest until the professor finally stops and lectures him. "Couldn't we just resort into something other than violence?" Talk back, Hades' specialty. "I'm sure Blizz isn't so dangerous!" It can't be! Even if it is a hybrid of... Manticore, was it? |
