Alyssa gulped. Throw away all candy??? She sighed and started emptying all the candy she had in her robe pockets, those hidden in her socks, those in her backpack and...wait there was one more place...oh yeah her jacket pockets. Even though her hands were overflowing with candy, she managed to toss them far away from her and then quickly retrieved her wand and returned to her defensive position. 'Sorry Aaron. I'll get you more candy the next time I go to Honeydukes. ' Alyssa thought to herself. |
Amelia kinda didn't like the Skrewt even if she wasn't scared of it. She thought it was ugly and didn't like the fire thing it had going on either. D: So she had no problems with stepping behind the Professor. Since there was nothing in her pocket besides Pixie, she didn't need to get rid of any candy on the way. |
Oh thank Merlin! Kurumi's body relaxed a bit when the bowtruckle took the bait of the lice and removed his teeth from the hand of Professor Williamson. "Um...professor...what should I do with him?" she asked, indicating the bowtruckle that was sort of munching away on some of the lice. Throw away all candy? Why would anyone actually have candy in their pockets during a creatures lesson anyway? Wasn't that...dangerous? That was just like asking for a creature to come and attack you for what was in your pockets. But...to Kurumi's slight dismay, several students were emptying their pockets of all sorts of sugary goodness. Prefects up in front? Oh Merlin... Kurumi followed instructions and stood next to Selena with her wand at the ready. |
Of course Arya had candy on her person, it was one of the items she always carried around, just in case she got the munchies. Heh. That didn't mean she wanted to give it up to the creature. And she was sort of fascinated by the thing, couldn't it stay a bit longer? With her left hand she dug into her pockets, pulling out ONE piece of gum and tossing it with the others to the forest. Then she moved over beside the other prefects and held her wand at the ready should the have to use them. And don't think Arya wasn't already curious as to how the professor was going to protect them from the creature without having his wand out. He DID have it.... somewhere, right? |

Alyssa stood with her wand ready right behind the Prefects. 'Why do the Prefects get to have all the fun and get to fight off the creature?' Alyssa thought to herself before she realized that the situation could turn really dangerous at any moment. The second she realized that, she decided to put her faith in the Professor instead, even though he still didn't have a wand, at least he would DEFINITELY know what to do if that happened, and would be able to protect her better. So she moved a little closer to the Professor, just in case. |
Glenn hurried behind the professor with her wand in her trembling hand. As she ran from the scary shelled thingy (The blast ended skrewt or something) the puff managed to trip over her robes and end up face down in the grass. Ouchy. She stood up, twigs sticking out from her ponytail and mud stain on her cheek, not pausing to tidy herself again; Glenn went behind the professor and glanced back at the skrewt. Right. Candy. She dug into her pockets of her robes and chucked a single chocolate frog in the forest. The rest were in her dormitory so it wasn't too bad. Worth it to get rid of the creatures anyway. |
Laura wasn't scared of the creatures, so why should she get behind the Professor, it wasn't as if the creatures could hurt her, she was going to talk to the creature if the Professor would let her. "Professor do you want me to ask it to leave, it might understand human talk." Laura had no idea if it would but well it was worth a go. |
Jory wasn't far back from the prefects and while he tried to keep one eye one the Skrewt in case it made any sudden movement. Carefully and slowly, he felt around his pocket and pulled out three pineapple flavoured hard candy. He was sorry he had to throw them away but he did so anyway, towards the forest as the Professor had instructed. |

Daichi's teary eyes looked at the back of the Professor's head as he spoke those words. NOT THAT HORRIBLE!? Okay so it was true. He isn't scared of the Skrewt itself but the FIRE that thing just shot in the air. And what if the creature decided to shoot it towards the class?! Not wanting to let his place get snatched away, the Slytherin grabbed the Professor's robe as his hands shivered violently. His eyes were still wide and he did not care one bit he if he looked stupid. In his fear, he still managed to grab a few pieces of chocolate from out of his robe and threw it with a shaky hand. Yes! his chocolate! He would CURSE anyone who touches HIS chocolate and he was now throwing it away willingly. That's how scared he is! |
The Skrewt glanced from face to face and they all started blending together. It wasn't completely sure what they were all so scared of but it was sure it wasn't it that had caused the panicked looks. And then some of the students started throwing things at it. That wasn't a very polite welcome to the party. It looked up at students throwing candy at it and decided to have a little fun. It shot fire out which propelled the skrewt towards the students throwing objects at it. Finally it was within inches of the man with the Bowtruckle, what was with the Bowtruckle wandy thing. It glanced up at the man and flicked its stinger around in a taunting motion. Didn't he have more control over the kids throwing stuff at the poor harmless skrewt down here.... |
"S-s-stop throwing the-the candy. I don't t-think he likes that." Ella whispered urgently to her classmates. When the skrewt propelled itself forward, Ella thanked merlin that she was behind Williamson and the prefects. She was eager to be so close to a skrewt again. She still held her wand tightly, not sure if she'd even be able to do anything useful if she needed to. |
Amelia watched as the Skrewt seemed to not like people throwing candy at it. When it propelled itself towards them, she gripped her wand tightly. She wasn't going to shoot spells at it until it actually attacked. But she didn't like how it was flicking its stinger around. D: |
Laura looked at the Skrewt and smiled at the Professor, she hadn't moved from her original spot and wasn't going to either, this creature didn't scare her. "Professor I don't think it like you." Laura sighed, she had no idea why. "MR Skrewt are you trying to say something?" Laura was going to see if it could talk and then she could see if it was upset or something. |
o_O Evelyn stared as the Skrewt made it's way towards Willy. She removed her wand from her bag and pointed at it. Since, Willy didn't have a wand, she might as well be prepared. Gosh, this class was turning into a complete disaster. Quote:

See? This was why she only tossed a single piece of gum. The skrewt clearly wasn't keen on eating it. What a waste. Instinct told her to take a step back when the skrewt came closer, but doing so had her knocking into another student. She murmured an apology, and kept where she was, eyes going from the professor to the creature. His wand, could he go ahead and pull it out now? And could all the other students stop panicking and trying to talk to the skrewt? They weren't really helping, but she wasn't too fussed with them right now since the creature still hadn't yet to attack them directly. |
no wand, no bowtruckle... just an fyi, Skrewty/whoever, Willy is totally unarmed xD SPOILER!!: The Candy-Tossers "Okay, great! Thanks, guys, for hopefully distracting the skrewt with the candy..." William started to say, about to shoot a smile toward his students until... Quote:
"Sorry, sorry Mr. Skrewt," he squeaked, holding his hands up in a surrender-like gesture. He simultaneously took a step back, hoping he wasn't stepping on anyone and also hoping that the kids got the message to move back too. "The candy was supposed to be a gift for you, Mr. Skrewt. Ignore that bowtruckle there, too. It's not mine." The Skrewt could EAT the bowtruckle for all HE cared. Quote:
Or by Merlin he was going to Quote:
"Give me your wand and I'll show you how you really handle a skrewt." He made a snapping motion with his fingers. Come on, kid. Help the professor out. |
Emrys was never ever coming to this class again. At least, that's what he kept telling himself as he inched, ever so slowly, around the circle of logs trying to get behind the professor without spooking the beastie. He kept an eye on the creature and glanced, every so often, toward his destination, wishing and hoping that he wouldn't trip over anything and draw attention to himself. When the skrewt blasted again, though, he dove to the ground, landing on his bag, behind a log. Hands on the top of his head as if he anticipated the sky falling, he crawled, knees and elbows, until he at least had the professor between him and what he was sure would be certain death. His glasses covered in a layer of dirt and the front of his robes stretched and caked with sweat and dirt, Emrys stood near the back, still surveying escape routes if the time came to run. |
Text Cut: Willyyyy :P Heh. What on earth was going on!? The 'professor' was supposed to be defending them; NOT apologizing to the skrewt. Jeez. Oh, yes. Evelyn gave a silent sigh of relief when she saw him ask a boy for his wand. Thank goodness! He finally remembered that he didn't have a wand. "Please give him the wand, kid..otherwise we'll be eaten up by a skrewt." Evelyn muttered, her eyes back on the skrewt. She stepped back a couple of paces, her wand still pointed at the creature. She wasn't going to lower it until Willy did SOMETHING. |
SPOILER!!: Fire and the scooting Professor Nerida wanted to let out a scream, her hand was out there when he blew fire. Now, all her chocolate would be melted. She looked over at the professor, who was telling the Skrewt, it was meant as a gift, when he began moving backwards, clearly Nerida hadnt been paying attention to the the Professor because she didnt step back Ouch! She said and dropped her wand, when the Professor accidently stepped on her foot, she returned her attention to the Professor.Bending down she picked up her wand and put it up in front of her she wasnt about to let her guard down until Professor Williamson, did something about the Skrewt, or as he called it Mr.Skrewt. |
*To Oakey and the Prof. You read my mind. Was going to offer my wand xD SPOILER!!: Oakey Alyssa turned when she saw Oakey. 'When did he show up?' she thought to herself. She was worried for him when saw the Skrewt approach Oakey. She leaned over to whisper in his ear."Oakey, do you still have your lucky charm? Please be careful. I don't want you to get hurt." SPOILER!!: The Brave Professor Alyssa saw as the Professor reach out and ask for Oakey's wand. She had actually thought of offering her wand to the Professor a few seconds before he asked for Oakey's, seeing that he didn't have his own, but she didn't because wasn't sure whether her wand would have actually worked for him. But the Professor wasn't just anyone. So she got ready to offer hers, just in case Oakey wasn't prepared to relinquish his. |
Jory kept an eye on the Skrewt. He hoped the thing wouldn't decide to suddenly come after them. During his look out, Jory couldn't help over hearing Oakey's conversation. Wasn't he paying attention before? Professor William had said the stuff with the underbelly moments ago. The Puff turned his full attention back to the Skrewt. It was so close to the group now. |
Bowtruckles, skrewts and ?, oh my :P Okay, this lesson has officially turned chaotic, Stella had thought as not only had a bowtruckle appeared and ultimately bit Professor Williamson, but then a skrewt had joined the party. Well, at least she'd already established she knew how to, hypothetically, handle the creature. Although she had a feeling it was going to be harder to get to the skrewt's underbelly, seeing as it seemed like a little skrewt. There had to be such a thing as a baby skrewt, but she wasn't about to ask. Not when said skrewt was shooting towards them, after it had definitely not taken the offering of candy well. She wasn't about to follow the professor's lead and apologize, though. She didn't even think the creature understood them, although she would have been half-tempted to ask Matt his theory if he'd been there. He was the CoMC person, not her, and she didn't think the professor would appreciate a question about if skrewts understood the English language. Especially not right after he'd reprimanded that Hufflepuff for mentioning the exact thing she'd mentioned during their hypothetical scenario. It was much easier to just keep behind him, with everyone else, wand at the ready. She had the thought of running for the barn if things looked too dangerous, saving the pygmy puffs, but so far the skrewt seemed more likely to go after them then the defenseless puffs in the enclosure. She was prefectly ready to make a run for it if that seemed to change, however. There was no way Mr. Skrewt was going to make Nuage into lunch. Even if her puff wasn't technically hers as of yet. She was still hoping that discussion after the lesson would go over well, and being willing to save all the puffs should work to her benefit as wel.l |
SPOILER!!: Professor Williamson then Alyssa M-my wand? for real!?!?! He knew the Professor didn't have his own but, would his wand even be powerful enough in the hands of someone else. Oakey should have kept quite, he should have payed attention when Williamson spoke about the underbelly, even if he already knew that was it's weakness.Yessir He inched forward pulled his wand out and held it out for Williamson to handle. I didn't carry any with me today Alyssa. I think my luck is finally changing. he whispered back. Not a bad thing has happened to him for over a month. So he thought today would be a great day to try his luck. How lucky would he be if that was the same damn skewt that launched itself at Oakey a few months ago. If Williamson could work Oakey's wand, which he's sure he can. This would be kind of revenge for the bruise Oakey got back in February |
