Oakey fiddled with his Ball of Gillyweed. He hadn't eaten this stuff before and he was sure by the looks of it, that it would be disgusting. Why couldn't he just do the bubble head charm. It was easier for Oakey to do because Harvey taught it to him during his year off. He fiddled with the Gillyweed again frowning at it.

Isabelle took the gillyweed and just looked at it. So they were going to be swimming. Fun! She was so glad that her swimsuit was cute. It made it so much better, especially if she was going to be following Professor Smexyness, who looked very nice in a wetsuit. Izzy waited to eat the gillyweed, which was going to be disgusting, but if it would earn her points and allow her to breath underwater, who wouldn't want to try that. You could say that Isabelle had mixed feelings about this.

Yikes, someone was a little angry. No biggie though, her question was answered and she had more pressing concerns..

Kimalia took the gillyweed, yikes, squishy feeling.. Hmm.. She didn't stare too long at it, because already she wanted to chuck it by how revolting it looked. She lightly bounced it in her right hand while waiting to get the command to.. well eat it.

Logan took the gillyweed and stared at it, his brown eyes widened. It looked real *cough cough* 'delicious'. .....NOT!
But it was so worth it if they were swimming! He loved swimming. He was itching to stick the gillyweed in his mouth and hop into the water. But he had to wait for the professors to give the word or he'd get in trouble, and of course he did not want that! So he kept looking at the professors anxiously.

"Ready."Normally Dash would have been ecstatic over the fact that William seemed so exasperated, but he simply couldn't be. Not when he was annoyed for the very same reason.

Maybe some students did need to be attacked by the Grindylows?

He turned to the class. "If any of your don't go down for any reason." Which was not going to happen. "You'll be extremely sorry." Like William said, he was going to explain the task.

"There is a reason as to why we are going down into the lake. And no, it's not for educational purposes." He looked at William and smirked. "The reason is important to each and every one of you." And by that he meant individually, not even as a group.

Scabior stuffed the worm like plant ball into his mouth, forcing himself to chew the horrible tasting plant before swallowing. Very quickly he began to feel the Gillyweeds' effects taking place. "NOW EAT YOUR GILLYWEED" He choked out as loud as he could, before turning around, and diving into the Black Lake.

She ate the gllyweed. After a few mintues she felt the effects and then jumpped into the lake.

Amelia raised her brow. The Professors seemed really annoyed, and she figured since they were taking no for an answer... she might as well bite the figurative bullet and eat this grey ball. Even though it looked like worms.

Nasty.

It was slippery and weird going down, but she managed to swallow it all, gagging a little. Note to self: Never ingest this stuff again unless it's an emergency.

When she started feeling the effects, she dived into the lake after Professor Scabior.

Taylor choked down the gillyweed and started feeling the effects.

Gillyweed? Eew! Can't they use the Bubblehead Charm instead? How can something looked like a ball of rat tails be edible? Hades held the gillyweed between the tip of his fingers, stretching his hand as far away from him. He was to asked the History professor before the man started to shout and choked. There was no point arguing with him. It might just get Hades into trouble.

Closing both eyes, he forced the gillyweed down his throat. He lost balance as he tried to swallow the disgusting thing and fell down on his knees, making several sounds of both someone choking and puking. Hades felt like something was growing near his jaws. He looked at his hands which started to web. Looking down at his feet, they too had web.

Well someone wasn't happy.. maybe Professor Scabior was rubbing off on him.

Desiree wasn't sure she was relieved they were using gillyweed or even more terrified. I mean it seemed like growing gills in the side of your face would oh i don't know.. hurt! However, she was put at ease a little when she found out the teachers would be with them and Mr. Henry. Maybe she had been worrying too much. Deciding to just try to enjoy this, since it was pretty exciting, she turned the gross ball of gillyweed over in her hand. She still wasn't too sure, but nevertheless stood their waiting for the Professor's instructions..

.. He gave the order for them to eat it, but she hesitated. It made her want to gag, and well.. she was nervous! Building up some courage she quickly stuffed it into her mouth. Chew, chew, chew.. It was gross and slimy, but she felt it starting to work, a strange tingling running along her face. But suprisingly painless. Realizing she should jump in, she walked up to the lake, but paused again, staring into the dark water. Taking an un-needed and now unwanted breath of air she dove in.

Alright, it was now or never. Taking a deep breath, Alex squeezed his eyes shut and shoved the slimy, slippery gillyweed into his mouth. OH MY GOSHHHH this was the most disgusting thing he'd ever tasted! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, he was going to throw up...

No, that'd be even more embarrassing than wearing this suit. Even more embarrassing than admitting he couldn't swim without the gillyweed. HE WOULD POWER THROUGH!

The choking and gagging of other students around him was NOT helping at all, but he could do this. With tremendous effort, he managed to swallow the ball of wormy gillyweed and got it down his throat. UGGGH he could feel it going all the way down to his stomach! BLEGH.

He looked down and saw webbing start to form between his legs, and he felt an odd sensation around his neck. He reached his now webbed fingers up to his throat and found that gills were starting to form...and as the gills started to take shape, he could feel his breathing getting heavier.

Right. He needed to get in that water.

Okay, okay.. time to eat this.. gillyweed thingy. *Gulp* Kimalia first pinched her nose and then shoved the whole thing in her mouth before munching on it.... Not only was it squishy, but it was thick and gooey and difficult to consume fast. Eventually she managed to gulp it down. UGH! That was not delicious..

Woah, her ears popped. Closing her hands over them she could feel something sprouting where her ears were.. and now she noticed the air becoming a little difficult to breathe in.. Okay, go time. In the end Kimalia tripped over her webbed feet attempting to run into the lake.

Beezus breathed heavily first, she had seen what that first year eaglet did and she did not like it one bit. That student was still a first year but already had the guts to do that. Why..when she was just a first year she didn't have the courage to talk back to a Professor. She made it a mental note to talk to the freshman later.

Reverting back her attention on the discussion at hand, she did one more practice on the Relashio spell and quickly hit the screens together with her swimsuit since Professor Scabior had told them that they'd be starting soon.

With a sigh, she walked out of the changing station. She was wearing something that she did not expect she would ever wear in her lifetime history. But nevertheless, she was wearing it and she'd got to admit, it was quite comfortable.

As the two Professors changed into their own wetsuits, she waited and clutched her wand tightly as she walked over to the area with a patch of grass that Professor Scabior asked them to gather around. They weren't going to fight grindylows and she really hoped that she won't be facing one once they were underwater.

When the Professors were done, she listened intently as Professor Williamson added more talk about gillyweed and grindylows and etcetera while also walked around giving them their own piece of gillyweed. When the History of Magic Professor spoke again, something really caught her attention. "There is a reason as to why we are going down into the lake. And no, it's not for educational purposes." NOT for educational purposes? Then what were they going to do under the lake? PLAY?

But before she even had the chance to verify that, Professor Scabior commanded that they take their gillyweed. Feeling nauseatic at the very sight of it, Beezus swallowed hard, closed her eyes and stuffed the plant into her mouth.

Beezus choked and coughed after swallowing the weed and then she dived. Instantly, she felt sharp things seemingly growing from inside her hands and feet. Then came a very painful rush of wind near under her neck. Her sight became a bit blurry but when she blinked, it turned the exact opposite.

Minerva looked at the Gillyweed and smelled it. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to taste it, but she threw it in her mouth and chewed the swallowed. Well that was horrible she thought. Then she felt weird and a little pain around her face, she looked down to see webbing coming between her toes. She felt her face and felt the gills. This has to look horrible. She got up and hurried to the lake.

Kennedy excitedly shoved the Gillyweed into his mouth which was followed by a face of disgust.

EWWW!

He chewed quickly as his eyes looked up at the sky. He wasn't going to think of the texture and flavor. That would just make it more disgusting. Thankfully, he wasn't the squeamish type.

After he swallowed, Kennedy opened his mouth to inhale some much needed air when he felt like he couldn't breath.

Gaaaaah! He's been poisoned and now his lungs were dying...

The freak out moment last a second until he realized that the Gillyweed was taking effect. Oh. He wasn't poisoned. He just turning into a fish. Heh.

He turned around and ran into the lake.

It was important to each of them?...Other then for educational purposes?

Okay so Professor Scabior was making him curious...very curious in fact. What was supposed to happen down there beneath the water's surface? Guess it was up to them to find out by simply taking the chance.

Well Gideon wasn't a Gryffindor for nothing. He did have nerve despite being reserved at times. So after accepting the offered ball of gillyweed from the now-grumpy COMC professor, he awaited for the go-ahead before popping it in his mouth. He chewed it a few times as he got to the water's edge before swallowing the rest. Then closing his eyes as he felt the effects take hold, Gideon took a deep breath awaiting most of the changes as he took a step or two more into the water, nearly gasping as the gills took form.

Ew, that stuff looked disgusting! But Sky held her nose and shoved the Gillyweed into her mouth. Yuck, it was all rubbery! Blech! She chewed until she thought she could swallow it. Once it was swallowed, she waited to see the effects. Then all of a sudden, she was having trouble breathing! She started to panic, then took a deep breath and felt of her neck. She had gills! Then she remembered: the lake!
She hurried over to jump in…

Jezzabelle held the gillyweed in her hand on command shoved it in her mouth and swallowed. It felt weird going down her throat but what felt even weirder was the transformation that began to take place. Gills were forming on her neck but she wasn't about to stand around and wait until she was deprived of life to watch the rest of her transform. To the lake, she thought as she followed some of the other students.

After changing into his handsome swimsuit, Eino made way to the front of the class where he took some of the gillyweed and consumed it. It tasted like wet and cold boiled snake tongues, and yes, he had eaten those. They were rather yummy, though not when they got cold. They were also a bit slimy but that would facilitate digestion, right? Soon enough he could sense the effects of the plant taking effect. His hands and feet were not webbed, like a duck's and something, though he could not see what, was happening to his neck. As he pressed his fingers against it, he could feel small opening suggesting he had grown gills. After making sure he had his wand with him, Eino followed everyone else into the lake.

Kurumi looked down at the gillyweed in her hand and then back up at the two professors. It WASN'T for educational purposes? Then...why was it included as part of the lesson? Casting her eyes down again at the green wormtails in her hand, she took a deep breath and held it up to her lips. Getting hands on experience in knowing what it was like to fight for your life? Is that what they were getting at? Kurumi could do without that, but if they were going under the lake on a more...ambassador sort of mission to speak with the selkies? Kurumi could appreciate that, working on cross-species communication.

Plugging her nose with one hand, Kurumi slipped the gillyweed and bit down. GROSS! It reminded her of the time she had eaten jellyfish and that was not an experience she wanted to relive. She felt her hands and feet begin to tingle and she took a peek down at her feet to see that they were becoming webbed. Suddenly, she found it very difficult to breathe and the sides of her throat began to itch and burn. Reaching up with her non-wand grasping hand, Kurumi felt SOMETHING forming there. Something that she assumed were her gills. Before her vision got too fuzzy, Kurumi waddled after the professors and students, diving head first into the lake with her wand in hand.

How did Sierra get so unlucky as to be standing next to Williamson when he'd yelled GILLYWEED directly into her ear?! Well, maybe not directly into her ear, but it felt like it. She frowned and edged away from him. These two, Williamson and Scabbers that is, needed some sort of stress relief. A vacation maybe; or a stress ball to squeeze at the very least...

She was still frowning when he smacked a glob of gillyweed into her hand. This had to be the most unappealing thing to ever have to eat. It looked like worms swimming in a ball of oatmeal. She glanced up and listened as Scabbers went on about how this task would be important to each and every one of them. Right--if she lived through eating this ball of goo, that is. Living to see tomorrow--that's why it'd be important.

She, too, stuffed the ball into her mouth, chewing with an intense look of disgust across her face. Finally, she swallowed and stood there waiting for the effects to take over her body. Soon enough, she had the whole webbed hands and feet--the entire works. She waddled over to the bank of the lake and dove in, joining Scabbers a second later.

When Messer was about to perform the jinx, he heard Professor Scabior said that the practice time was over. Oh Man! Well, at least he know the right incantation thanks to Louisa. He just hope that his jinx would work when he saw those creatures or maybe he just need to stick with Louisa just in case he failed to perform his jinx.

What with this two Professor and yelling? He hope that the yelling didn't damage his ears. Messer's eyes can't leave the gillyweed which was now already in his hand. Its look like a worm and its soooo yucky! "Cheers!" he said before he swallowed the gillyweed into his mouth. YUCK! It taste really really weird. Soon enough he could sense the effects of the plant taking effect. He could feel something weird in his neck, he brought his now webbed hand into his neck. Yup, its his gills. The first year followed the Professors and the students after making sure that he already bring his wand with him.

After changing into her swimsuit, she scowled a bit and went over to near the professors.

Ira looked at the gillyweed in her hand and again scowled her nose in disgust. It seemed so... so.. yucky. And now they had to eat it? Merlins! How could she eat this slimy thing? And she would grow gills and fins? Oh my! Ira didn't really want to do this, but it seemed she had no choice.

On top of it, all this wasn't even for educational purposes? Then what else could it be? To teach them swimming? No.. that couldn't be! Then what else? Why did she have to be a half-fish for the next hour?

Looking around she saw others who too had same reactions as her. She took a deep breath, then clamped her nose shut with one hand and then tightly closing her eyes, she gulped down all the gillyweed in one go. She almost wanted to retch, but didn't.

Then suddenly it began feeling funny. Webbing appeared between her fingers and toes and gills came out on the side of her neck. She was feeling too awkward to stand there. So she quickly, went over and dove into the lake.

Sophie was terrified with the idea of swimming so deep in the lake. Her eyes had been wide since she heard the news. That didn't sound good to her at all, and she didn't feel like going. But since the professors were telling them to do so - and they were also going with the students - she had no choice.

She put the gillyweed in her mouth and started chewing. "Nasty!" she thought, making a disgusted face. She didn't wait a long time to jump into the lake along with the others.

Having to eat the Gillyweed did not sound like fun. Which was why it took Amelia a full minute of staring at the stuff as if it was going to kill her before she decided to choke it down.

It tasted so nasty that she did choke in fact. Really she thought she'd vomit it back up until she felt the transformation begin. Once it got too hard to breathe on land she submerged herself in the lake.
