Its a perfect day for a class outside, and by the lake too! The warm september breeze swept the grounds at the south side of the castle. The location was popular for students who generally liked roaming around outside, but it was not a good place to take notes. Which was probably why Professor Scabior did not look at ease as he stood, holding a quiet conversation with Professor Williamson. The Care of Magical Creatures Professor looked quite fine though, turning away from the conversation to flash a smile at each new student that arrived.
"Just gather around here, and take a seat." Scabior said loudly, pointing to the general grassy area.
OOC: Class hasn't started yet, so feel free to join in! Just please, keep chatting to a minimum. Also, if you haven't already, please make sure to read the Care of Magical Creatures Rules AND the History of Magic Rules CLASS HAS STARTED! Do not post your character late. Doing so will result in loss of points. If you want to join just act as if your character was there the whole time!

"Go ahead and change behind these screens," William walked over to one and tapped it, revealing the disillusioned changing station that had been there all along, "and TRY not to make your classmates feel awkward in their bathing outfits, all right?"

ooc: okay, so, you have two tasks to do: 1) practice the relashio spell (you can practice on each other, but beware, it hurts! and 2) change into your suits! GET READY, cuz class will resume at around 6:00 pm EST.
Zhenya practised the spell alone. She welcomed anyone to join if they wished, but she didn't want to be in pain, nor did she want to hurt anyone. She practised the spell first, by saying "Relashio" a few times. She said it, and said it... and said it! She liked to be comfortable speaking the spell before practising the wand movement.
After a while she decided it was time to try the wand. She got hers out, and looking around to make sure no eyes were near her, she started jabbing her wand just as the Professor had demonstrated. Then she put it both together. Of course, having someone to practice with would help her know if she was doing it right, but still... no harm!

"Relashio!" he flicking his wrist and casting the spell at Minnie.. hoping that he didnt hurt her too much..

Having felt satisfied enough about the spell, she decided it was time to get changed. Hmm... she wasn't sure about being in front of her class mates in a bathing suit. But still, everyone else would be in the same situation, or else they would miss out.
She went to the girls pile and pulled one out. Ducking behind one of the changing screens, she got changed into it, and came back out. She went and stood where she was before and practised the spell again.

When she got the okay she jabbed her wand in Violet's direction. "Relashio!" She said hoping that it didn't hurt Violet too much. She didn't want to scare the first year.
Minerva saw Butterfly by herself. "Butterfly would you want to try the spell with us?" She turned to Harvey "Are you using it on me or not Harvs?" she smiled knowing he was struggling to do it on her.

With one more quick jab and "Relashio!" Gideon sent his target twig a couple of inches into the air once more as it was hit and bounced against the ground. Satisfied with his practicing of the spell, he lowered his wand and put it away from the moment. He then moved over to the sacks where the boys' swimsuits were located. The Gryffindor dug throught them for something that appeared to fit before stepping behind the panels to change.
Oh if he didn't feel so weird about this.
The fifth year was still the reserved younger boy in some ways and he wasn't really one to swim in the lake during the school year. When he was changed, he slipped his clothes into his sachel and set his belongings off to one side to be safe, his wand with him as he stood for when they would eventually enter the water and explore the depths.

Since it was a pretty good split between who was changing into suits and practicing the charm, Lily decided that it would be a good idea to change first, so she went over, grabbed a suit and got changed quickly before looking for someone to join.

Uhhh...they'd have to go SWIMMING? But...Alex didn't know how to swim. This was going to be interesting to say the least. Trying not to think about that, he grabbed one of the swimsuits the professor had provided to them and changed into it. He didn't know what was worse--having the entire world see his 14 year old puberty stricken self in a swimsuit, or letting the world know in a few short minutes they he would probably drown without supervision.
"Relashio!" he said, turning his attention to a nearby leaf and jabbing it HARD, causing it to land quite a few feet away. Whoa. Maybe being nervous was good for this spell! "Relashio!" he cried again, pointing at the leaf some more. He was good at this spell!

Nessie let the spell hit her chest on. She recoiled and fell to the ground from the impact. "Umph!" She lay on the grass. She sat up and started laughing. "I'm alright!" She got back up and patted Violet on the shoulder. "Let's not try that again shall we? I think you've got it down pat."Nessie said rubbing the spot where the spell had hit her.
No... they were going into the lake... :| Ach. It was bad enough going in for leisure... but this... Were they going to make her swim... like, properly? Because she wasn't a particularly confident swimmer. She could swim, quite well for someone of her age, she just didn't like being in deep water and the lake was definitely deep.
Oh dear... anyway. She couldn't exactly argue with the Professors now, could she? No. So she went behind the screen and changed into one of the hideous suits. She felt like she belonged waaaaaaaaay back hundreds of years ago... these things were not at all flattering. Eurgh.
LuLu had no one not that she wanted to anyway she was glad it was that way and not hurting friends or firsties finding somone she didn't know was quite hard she then spotted a girl "Erm.. Can you be my partner please,"
Pam smiled at the girl. "Hey! Sure. I'd love to." She had her wand in her hand, and got a firm grip. "You first." She said. Pam was really nervous, and didnt' really want to get hurt, but she's glad she had a partner.
Laura suddenly realised something, the Professor was making them get ready for an invasion of some sort. ""Professor are we going to war with the Hogwart Lake creatures?" Seriously if they were going to go to war Laura wanted to be on the back line, everyone else could go first, if it wasn't war why was the Professor asking them to use a spell that hurt the creatures, Laura looked at the Professor and waited for an answer.

Ella was startled when she heard someone mention something about war. She looked over and recognized the girl who had made the comment as a fellow Hufflepuff. She smiled. "We're not going to war, nor worries." Ella hoped she was putting this girl's fears at ease. "I'm sure we just need to be prepared in case the grindylows get grabby! This is just the best way to do that." She shrugged and tried to look confident in what she had said.

Really? He was not a charms Professor. Clearly she had eyes to tell if the spell hurt her partner. "Well you'll find out if you are attacked by Grindylows and aren't able to get away." Scabior said stiffly.

What in the world.. "25 points from Ravenclaw Miss Couture." They had given them the suits for a REASON. The girl intentionally ignored their instructions. Scabior walked up to the girl and tapped her shirt with his wand. Instantly the swim suit began to chance to something much older and much worse. "And you will not do anything to that suit or you'll get a weeks worth of detention.

OOC: Since the students didn't know that they were even swimming in the lake, Justin wouldn't have know to bring a swim suit, just a heads up there
Scabior waved his wand, revealing another changing screen that had been there all along and another sack. Dashing behind the screen no pun intended he quickly changed before coming out him his super cool wetsuit"You should get changed." He said with a nod toward William.
Three. Two. One. "EVERYONE GATHER AROUND HERE." That's right. On the grass again. "The jinx practice is over. If you haven't changed yet do so immediately." Like. NOW. "We are going into the lake. No excuses. If you have a problem with it, too bad." He gave a large fake smile. "Professor Williamson and I were able to get enough Gillyweed from Professor Bentley." LISTEN UP.
"Once you eat the Gillyweed you will be able to breathe underwater and swim better too." Because you got web hands and feet. "But you only have one hour so don't pass this." He didn't want to explain any kids that had drowned to Tate. "Once we get in the water, make sure to keep up with us." He looked toward William. Hand the plant out now!
"Any questions?" Before they went in. Last chance.

Nessie shook her head. She was already in her swimsuit and ready to go into the cold looking water. She didn't want to be cold AND wet at the same time but she decided to suck it up. She waited for the Professor to say that she could enter the water. With gillyweed of course.
