The surface of the lake ripples serenely in the warm September sunlight, but its docile appearance is a thinly veiled disguise for the complex and icy cold waters down below.
Keep your wand at the ready and one eye trained for any approaching grindylows! Don't forget to swim deep, swim hard, and keep sight of your professors in your search of what has been taken from you.... for your destination is still a good swim away.
As she caught up with the rest of the group, Professor Scabior motioned for them to follow, they were going even deeper.. and where exactly would that take them? Only one way to find out she thought starting after them but paused when something moved out of the corner of her eye.
Turning quickly she didn't see anything at first. The Black lake sure lived up to its name. But then she noticed it. A water demon! grindylow a ways away, just.. watching them. It was kind of creepy, much creepier than just seeing a picture in a book. It was just one, but she felt like it was waiting for something.. Desiree swam even closer to the group gripping her wand tighter. Nope, she was still not scared, nottt at alll.
I never actually thought the lake would be interesting, she thought and looked around. It was dark and creepy, but it had something special. Perhaps it is just… different, Gwendolyn told herself. Yeah, that’s it. Different.
As she noticed that everyone was swimming deeper in the lake, the girl decided to do so as well. However, as she turned her head, just to see if there was any of her friends nearby, the third year spotted a grindylow. Swollowing heavily, Gwen started swimming as fast as she could and held her wand tightly. Shouldn't this class END?!?!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, lalala.. This was kind of fun, being able to stay underwater and swim to her desire. She did not however anticipate a welcoming committee so soon..

What a uggggly creature, Kimalia sort of frowned at it. Was it going to try eating them? Well, it didn't see to be doing anything but staring and then.. waving? Trying to laugh nervously, which only came out as a a few short puffs of bubbles from her mouth before waving back... SWIM FASTER KIMALIA! She then swam after the Professors who were going even deeper.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
He did not like this... he did not like this... he did not like this one bit!
Even though Daichi could now breathe and swim thanks to the gillyweed, that didn't change the fact that he was scared. What if the gillyweed stopped working while he was still swimming and... judging by the way Professor Scabior was swimming , they were going deeper in to the lake. This was not cool , not co-.. WHATWASTHAT?!
The slytherin turned just in time to see an ugly creature eyeing them all. W-What did it want? Holding his phoenix feather wand tightly in his hand, Daichi was sure that if he held it even stronger he would break it. Trying to calm down he saw that one of the students hopefully not from his house used the relashio spell already.
This scared him even more because he was sure that by using that the creature would surely come back with more.... he hoped not though. Daichi stayed still underwater thinking about it when he noticed that the other Professor had closed the line of students.
O____o he was still behind!
WAIT FOR ME! he tried to shout but only bubbles came out of his mouth.

Out of the corner of his eyes he spotted something approaching them. At first he thought it was just another unfortunately shaped student but upon taking a closer look he realized that it was a creature. A Grindylow to be exact. But for now it kept its distance it seemed.
Still eying the creature suspiciously with his eyes slightly narrowed, Lewis reached for his wand and held it tightly in his hand. Just in case the creature decided they looked dangerous after all and decided to get all its friends.

A Grindylow.
He was sure they weren't suppose to come out THAT fast. Quickly he waved his hands at the students motioning to follow him. Without looking back Scabior began to swim deeper into the lake, hoping that the students would follow.
Because if they didn't....he was sure Tate wouldn't mind if one or two of them were eaten.
The presence of the Grindylow seemed to make Professor Scabior quite anxious to get moving though. Huh. Good thing he had taken out his wand as a precaution. And was quite a good swimmer too, seeing how the professor just left off without another backward glance at them.
Lewis hurried after him, trying to keep close behind him. That was probably the safest place to be after all, right? Behind or at least close to one of the professors. Even if it was the evil one. They wouldn't allow them to get hurt, right.
Ira was enjoying swimming in the cold, frigid waters. She flapped her arms and kicked her legs, splashing around! It was pure fun! And the variety of underwater flora was amazing too!
Then there came something big and round. She looked behind. Merlins! A grindylow! A huge grindylow! No, not huge, actually it was quite small, but it frightened Ira. Now what to do? What was the spell she had learnt in class? She had gone almost blank!
And then she saw Professor Scabior waving the students to come over. He too seemed anxious to get away. Ira swam fast and went near professor. She followed him deeper into the lake.

Kurumi continued to follow Professor Scabior and Professor Williamson as they swam deeper and deeper into the blue-green abyss. Kurumi was rather surprised by how much she was enjoying resembling a frog. She swallowed some lake water when a younger student suddenly cast a spell off to the side, and her head snapped around just in time to see SOMETHING swim out of the way.
Already? Why did she have a bad feeling about this.
Nervously, Kurumi swam a little closer to the center of the group.

OOC: Having a full on conversation under the lake is not something your charrie is capable of doing, even with the Gillyweed. Please keep this in mind. Sending one spell would be hard enough, never mind a full sentence.
Harvey got close to Professor Scabior when he quickly waved them over to follow him.. as Harvey followed the professor he saw some horned creature watching them all.. Harvey's eyes went wide.. was THAT a grindylow?!?! Well that was what everyone had described.. horned, green, long fingers etc... yep that sounded ALOT like that THING that was watching them all pass by..
Harvey looked back to see where the professor was... ok he was there.. he then looked back a the creature to make sure that he or she or whatever it was.. wasnt following them.. cause if it was then he would have to try and tell the professor that they were being followed... but luckily they werent.
So Harvey stopped watching the creature and followed the professor.. but he could have sworn that in these murky waters he could see shapes moving about somewhere around them... but he couldnt be sure due to the murkiness and dark waters.. He could just about see the professor .. forget about what was moving around out there.. Harvey kicked faster to get closer to the professor..

Hannah was swimming along with her classmates and all seemed well until something caught her eye from a distance. She wasn't sure what it was at first, but who know what all lived down here. As she was swimming the creature came into better focus and it turned out to be a grindylow. Her heart did a sumersault in her chest. No need to freak out she told herself. Surely the professors won't let anything happen to them. Not if they knew what was best for them anyways. Her parents would raise cain. She swimmed a little closer to her classmates this time.
If she could have, Jezz would have let out a girly squeak at seeing the Grindylow right there. She kicked her little legs a little harder and followed the Professor going deeper into the lake. She kept her eyes open and surveyed her surroundings waiting on something to reach out and grab her. She pushed herself even harder to make sure she was in close with the other students.

LuLu hated the whole non-talking thing seemed impossible to take this all in without using words but she was speechless the minute the was handed the gillyweed... She looked at the proffeser motioning for them to move with them obviously had somthing to do with the horned creature that she had spotted earlier well not just her.. everyone that human bean... normally anyways
And of course Scabior had seemed to noticed too..
She followed the proffeser, kicking with her feet and moving her arms to lead her in the same direction, the horned creature now out of sight what was it a grindylow maybe?

GRINDYLOW.
Amelia shuddered as she watched the creature. She wasn't really scared of them or anything, but they still weren't pretty. Kinda creepy looking if she was being honest. It took a lot for her to not just blast the thing in the face to get it to just leave... but she resisted.
Noticing Professor Scabior beckoning them to follow him, Amelia shrugged the grindylow off and followed after. She knew that she wouldn't seriously be harmed, but she didn't want to get lost even if she was curious about what was in this lake.

Cool, that must have been a grindylow. It's a good thing that it isn't right up next to us. Lily thought as she swam, keeping up with the rest of the group. This was one place that you wouldn't want to get lost in. Even as they swam fast to keep up with the professor, they were able to still take in all of the scenery.

Everything was so weird underwater. First off, Louisa thought everything would look blurry down here but it was perfectly... perfect edges. Ish. She was swimming along with the others but her neck was craning here and there, her eyes were wide with amazement basically at the pillars and...

...a Grindylow.
A demon.
Louisa's eyes avoided the creature quickly and fell on Professor Dash when he motioned for them to follow him. Quickly, and happy that she didn't have to use her wand because she didn't feel like fighting now, the fifteen years old picked up the speed and was smoothly swimming with the other students behind the professors.

He tried to call the students' attention to it, intending for them just to observe the creature since it wasn't attacking and they were too far away to do anything about it anyway. But then a GIRL had to go and CAST at it, which was surely going to antagonize the creature.
"NOOOOO!" he gurgled, a huge steam of unintelligible bubbles coming out of his mouth. Williamson waved his hands around and swam toward her, snatching her wand out of her hand. You do not attack unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO!
Well that's what he would have said, had he been able to talk anyway. He handed the girl her wand back with a stern glare and then shooed her on, clearly signalling for her to follow Scabior. Willy would trail the class with his wand out, now, on the lookout for any more grindylows.
Vlimia had been scared enough, but then Prof. Williamson had to creep up on her and leave her defenseless! She whipped around, her auburn hair becoming free from her strict ponytail and moving around like seaweed. Almost like a reflex, she put one hand in front of her face for defense and a fist in front of the first hand. Peering through her fingers, she noticed it was only Prof. Williamson. Now she could relax... a little. The proffesor looked very mad, and Vlim had an instinct to back away, except then she would be closer to the Grindylow.
After a bit he gave back her wand, and she put it straight back in it's holster. It was a little over the top to come and take her wand soundlessy, but he was the proffesor. He could terrify her and disarm her and then say it was for her safety. Eager to move away, Vlimia swam at full speed towards Prof. Scabior, using the fear adrenaline that had built up from the shock Prof. Williamson had given her. When she was just a few feet behind Prof. Scabior, Vlim relaxed and swam at normal speed.

After the initial shock when coming into contact with such cold water, Ariadne felt the transformation become complete and she was thrilled at the prospect of being able to breathe underwater. She swam to catch up with the others, quite enjoying herself, oblivious to the water demon that was watching them, since she was not a very observant person to begin with. Nevertheless, even she took notice of most of her classmates' expressions when looking at the creature, so in the end Ari noticed the grindylow as well. Eeek! The girl swam faster and faster, praying the demon wouldn't follow them.
Sophie had been scared enough of being underwater, now that she had noticed the DEMON gryndilow watching them, she was seriously controlling herself to not freak out. She decided to swim as fast as she could behind Professor Scabior. Yep, it was probably better - and safer - than freaking out.

Then she did her best 'I'm underwater and can't exactly laugh, but this is my best attempt' laugh. She shook her head, but oddly enough, she didn't do anything mean or hateful. She hadn't seen Alex in a long time, and seeing him now made her sort of miss him.
She motioned for him to swim along with her. Everything seemed to be calmed down again for now. At least, she didn't see any grindylows...
Alex glared at her when his sister started to laugh (kind of, he assumed it was an underwater laugh) and tried to give her his best 'This isn't funny I'm trying to save my LIFE, GOSH SIERRA' glare, but then to his surprise, she motioned for him to follow her. He was not about to give up the protectiveness of his little sister, so he smiled and swam after her as they followed the professor further down.
He hoped they got to wherever they were going soon...they'd spent enough time dilly dallying around and Alex did NOT want to be deep when the gillyweed ran out!

Seeing the History of Magic professor wave at them to follow him, she frowned. She flapped her arms, trying to propel forward, wondering exactly how fishies and ducks did it. It was so hard trying to even move. Selena flailed her arms, mooooveee forwarddddd. So much work, even as part fish. The further down, the darker it was. Eino could barely make the distinction between a grunt and a scream underwater, let about cast the Wand-Lighting Charm. Why didn't they use the Bubble-Head Charm instead? If Professor Williamson was sooooo worried about the students' safety he wouldn't have temporarily disabled their speech, rending them helpless? Be cause he was a dark wizard, and he wanted all of them dead. The only thing Eino could see, kind of, where the bubbles produced by all the kicking. Still, if he tailed the professors too closely the bubbles would obstruct his view, possibly causing him to accidentally headbutt someone. If he didn't follow them, he would get lost. The faint sound that the bubbles caused also helped him navigate back to the group in case he strayed.

Further down Violet swam and the darker the lake became. She shivered in front of what could be lurking in the deepest and darkest crevices of the Black Lake. The only thing Violet could decipher were the bubbles coming from students up ahead from her. It kept her a tiny bit relaxed that she had not been deserted yet. Taking a deep gulp of water, she hadn't noticed that she had been holding her breath for the entire time.

Minerva kept swimming. She was looking around it was so dark and different. She followed as close to the professors as she could, but kept looking back for that green teeth creature.
By now Ira was becoming a lot more tired and a lot less excited! Where were they actually going? And why?
Ira tiredly flapped her arms and kicked her legs in an effort to keep up with the rest of the students and professor. She definitely didn't want to get lost in these deep dark and cold waters, among the frightening underwater creatures!
