In the past, this had been the first room that she had run to after the feast. Well, it had always been a toss up between here and the kitchens, but now it had been several days and she hadn't had the urge to come here...until now. While in the past it had been to come here to cry mostly, cry and remember, today was for a VERY different reason.

She should have been more careful as she exited the common room, because she had failed to see the stubby legged creature sneak out until he and his tail were halfway down the corridor. She had been searching everywhere...except here and...the Headmaster's office, but she really did not wish to go there. Last term Walnut had snuck in there and, erm, peed on the Headmaster which had resulted in the cat being shaved upon delivery.

"Walnut...Walnut...are you in here? Waaaaaaaaaaaaalnut..." Kurumi whispered as she peered through the slightly ajar door and stepped inside. "Oh please be in here and not there..."

Kurumi checked behind some brooms and old rags hanging off the shelves, only to find that their only inhabitants were some dust bunnies that went scattering in every which direction when the light hit them. She was going to have to check lower...

Kurumi bend down, getting on her hands and knees and began to crawl around the floor in her search for the elusive cat.

Jonathan was up early in the morning, took his breakfast and had nothing else to do. They just arrived from Hogwarts and some places did change. The treehouse was no longer there though. He liked that treehouse a lot. He hangs out in there most of the time, but still he was glad to see the changes. He can't wait to explore them one by one.

Speaking of exploring, Jonathan did saw a door on his way the Great Hall. He stopped and stared at it for awhile. He hasn't been in that room before right? He remembers it's a broom cupboard but students seem to hang out around that place too.

He walked straight to the door and saw a girl bending down, trying to look for something? Whatever it is that she is looking for? Jonathan was about to head out since he might probably be disturbing her or something but---

"Kurumi?" he called. He's just testing it out if it is really her right?

Kurumi had found a small alcove that looked about just the right size for something furry and stubborn to crawl into for a catnap and decided that she ought to investigate that as well. She crawled under the table space and continued to search for the cat...only to find that it was a little too dark to be able to see anything.

Removing her wand, Kurumi cast Lumos and jabbed in the dark for HOPEFULLY her cat. Oh...was that...nope...just the bottom part of an old mop. Merlin, what if Walnut really wasn't in here?

Hearing her name called, Kurumi jumped in surprise and knocked her head HARD on the underpart of the table that she was currently under. "Oooooooooow...." she murmered, rubbing the back of her head with one hand as she stumbled to back out from under the table. She was afraid to turn around and get confirmation that Jonathan was the one who had found her in this awkward position.

"H-H-Hey...Jonathan..." she said, her cheeks flushing bright red. She had a few cobwebs stuck in her hair and her bangs were all collywobbled as well.

Did he startle her? Jonathan saw her bumping her head, that must have hurt. Well, she could have just answered if she is or is not Kurumi right? Maybe the girl was just surprised to hear someone was also in the room. She does really look like Kurumi from his angle even though it wasn't that clear.

...

And he was right. "What on earth are you doing there?" he said walking towards her. He tried to help her stand up, he did startle her in the first place which resulted her in bumping her head. "Sorry bout that" he didn't mean to.

Jonathan looked at the place "This place is bloody dirty" well not that dirty. It does have a lot of webs hanging from place to place. Jonathan faced Kurumi only to find she had cobwebs on her head. GULP. Jonathan isn't really fond of dirt or ------- spiders. "You... have..." he tried to point the cobwebs on her hair "something... o-on your hair"

Kurumi continued to rub her head with the back of her one hand while her other held her wand. This wasn't embarrassing at all... "I was...um...I was looking for Walnut," she replied with a heavy sigh. "He escaped from the common room again and I have been looking everywhere for him." Ruddy cat and his habit of doing whatever he pleased. "I don't want him to be fed to the giant squid!"

Because that was obviously the logical direction this conversation was going...

"It IS a broom cupboard," she pointed out. Those were usually very dirty places. "Although, I suppose it is rather ironic considering that brooms are meant to clean things up." She shrugged her shoulders slightly. Dirty or not, she still didn't know where her cat was.

Kurumi ceased rubbing the back of her head when Jonathan spoke to her about...something in her hair. "I...do?" she asked, slowly reaching up to touch her hair and felt...

Something was sort of...sticky and...not pleasant at all. Kurumi peeked down at where she had come from and saw a rather large looking spider begin to crawl its way across the floor.

"KYAAAAA!" she shrieked, throwing her arms around Jonathan and pulling herself around him to hide behind him from the eight-legged thing. Some of the cobwebs fell off her and onto the floor, but not all of them. "I-I-I-I don't fare well with s-s-s-spiders..." A fear she was probably going to HAVE to get over considering the line of work she wanted to go in...

"you're looking for Walnut in the broom cupboard?" he smiled. Well, Jonathan doesn't really know how these things work since he doesn't have a cat. "You'll find him soon" he nodded. Animals have know their way home right? Jonathan is completely clueless about that one. His owl knows his way home... All birds do but he's not exactly sure about the cats or--- other animals in this case. He needs to come often to CoMC more.

Jonathan laughed, yeah ironic indeed but it should at least be cleaned right? Jonathan might have allergies if this room gets dirtier. He feels quite uncomfortable seeing a lot of dust bunnies and cobwebs. "I still think it should be at least cleaned" he looked at the room from top to bottom. Eck.

It's a spider. Jonathan stiffened. He's not very fond of them as well. It's not that he's afraid of them, it's just that spiders just looks creepy. He then held Kurumi's arm when she hid behind him and he was definitely speechless. "Is it gone?" he doesn't see it anymore. Where did the spider go? Probably it flew away when Kurumi panicked????

"Erm...yes?" she said, feeling a little unsure about her decision to be looking her herself. "I've been everywhere else...except to the Headmaster's office, but I am hoping that Walnut grew a brain and didn't go back there." That is, assuming that the cat didn't want to be fed to the giant squid which she really REALLY hoped he didn't. Sighing in an almost defeated manner, she frowned slightly. "I really hope so..." Mostly because she was afraid of the damage the cat and his urine would cause to the shoes and socks of Hogwarts.

"Are you volunteering?" Kurumi asked with a very obvious wink. Jonathan could wear a little apron and bandanna and everything while he cleaned. He would look rather cute like that actually. Maybe if she bribed him with enough cookies and kisses he would do it? Doubtful, but a Gryffindor could dream.

Kurumi pressed herself up against Jonathan and felt a little relieved when he took her arms in his. Wait...what IF the spider was coming up behind them?! Her head snapped around to see that there was nothing there, thank Merlin. "Y-Y-You don't sound very sure," she said as she peeked around his side. Sure enough, the spider was missing. "I-I-If it's not there....then where did it go?" she asked, hugging his arm and looking around the tiny cupboard.

She wasn't sure...but she THOUGHT she heard something make a noise to their left...

Blink. Blink.

Why??? Do cats love to hide and seek in the broom cupboard? Jonathan doesn't know that much about cats but what he does know is that cats are kinda lazier than some animals, so they probably wouldn't be away for long. Eventually, they'll come back when it's feeding time again. His mother had once a cat, he hated that cat. But that was a long story and a long time ago. "Guess he wouldn't." maybe? or maybe not. Who knows really? But after what the headmaster did to him, it would only be logical if he never set his foot up there again.

Volunteering??? "For me to clean?" Jonathan smirked. He looked at the whole place from top to bottom again. With all that dust and unwanted dirt, "I'll pass" he doesn't even clean the boys' dorm in the common room let alone this one. "Students shouldn't even be in here, right?"

Jonathan's eyes moved in every corner of the room. "Let's just get out of here" he suggested. Walnut might be outside or something too. Or probably lurking somewhere in the castle and trying to find the scent of food. Or is probably sleeping somewhere in the corridors of the school.

Pushing all thoughts about Walnut being daft enough to strut back to the Headmaster's office, Kurumi turned back to look at Jonathan. He knew she was joking, right? The smirk on his face told her that he did and she giggled just a bit as she stood up on her tip toes to poke his cheek. "Well...I think it is perfectly alright to be in here if you are looking for a cat...or cleaning supplies..."

Kurumi followed Jonathan's gaze as he looked around for any signs of their eight-legged friend and nodded when he suggest that they leave. "Sounds like a good idea to me," she said, hugging his arm and entwining her fingers with his. Slowly, she pivoted to bring them facing the doorway when.

"J-J-J-Jonathan..." she stammered, snuggling even closer to him now and giving his hand a squeeze. "Wha-wha-what is that?"

Hanging in the doorway, and blocking an easy exit for the couple, by means of its invisible silky web was perhaps THE most frightening spider Kurumi had ever seen before. Jonathan would protect her from it, right?

Cats don't like hanging around the broom cupboard. It's dirty and dusty. His mother's cat always sat on her throne and not once had went to Nobi's area downstairs in the basement. Cats can never be too different right? But oh well~ he's not the expert one here so he can't really suggest where to find Walnut nor suggest where he could be hiding at all. Besides, Jonathan hasn't even seen Walnut yet. Heh.

Jonathan walked with Kurumi to the door when suddenly a really creepy spider was blocking the doorway. Seeing Kurumi panicking at the creature, he smiled "It's not going to eat us." he said leading the way just walking straight to the door. He then opened it, and then let Kurumi go out first "Do you suggest I'd kill it?" he joked around just to ease the tension.

How did he know that it wasn't going to eat them? For all they knew it was a new species of Acromantula that had hidden on some sort of vessel that had arrived at Hogwarts to deliver fresh produce or something. Acromantula ate people...

She continued to hold onto his arm as he led the two of them closer to the door and closer to IT. Jonathan and his cool-as-a-cucumber persona certainly was coming in handy right now, but it didn't exactly calm Kurumi down any. That spider was frightening. She did squeak!gasp when Joanathan suggested killing it, but saw the smirk on his face.

"That...won't be necessary," she laughed. Her shoulders relaxed a bit and she leaned her head against his shoulder for just a moment. "But...maybe we should try and catch it? That looks like a rather rare species of spider..." Merlin, had she honestly just said that? "There should be an empty jar in here...somewhere..."

Reaching outside, Jonathan finally stopped panicking. Yeah, it looked hideous. The spider's face was definitely not that welcoming as well. Thank Merlin he decided to get out of that room in the first place.

Was she really suggesting this right now? THEM? THE TWO OF THEM? Catch that eight legged creature? Jonathan stared at her for awhile. Here he thought she's afraid of it "are you mental?" he asked, confused. He's not going back there and find that jar and find that bloody spider. NO. But if she really wants to...

Jonathan gestured his hand through the door for Kurumi "Help yourself. I'm not a big fan of any creature" he nodded and smiled. Besides, he's quite hungry for some sandwich... or maybe fruits.

Kurumi continued to hold onto Jonathan's hand until they were out of the cupboard, but she still didn't let go of his hand. It was comforting, knowing that he was right there and that he would protect her from the potential new species of Acromantula. Hey, that was like what Salander had done for her back in her first year when there were REAL Acromantula involved. Salander would approve of Jonathan. Yep. She would even write him to be sure of it.

"Mental?" she scoffed, an obvious hint of amusement in her voice. She had never been called that before. Jonathan gave her a lot of first, but this one may be the one that made her laugh the most. "I am simply exercising my curiosity and desire to learn." That earned him a playful wink and her tongue sticking out.

He did say to help herself, so Kurumi let go of his hand, stood on her tip toes to give him a quick kiss on the cheek in appreciate, and then shuffled back to find a jar. He was showing his support, right? After finding one, Kurumi came up from under the CREEPY!spider, making sure that its creepy legs didn't get caught on the edge of the jar, and used her wand to cut its web string. The spider feel into the jar with a soft THUMP and she immediately screwed the top on.

"Ew ew ew ew ew..." she muttered as she watched it scamper around inside the jar.

Now what did she do with it?

Mental? "I don't mean it in a bad way..." Jonathan explained looking at her. He's hoping she didn't get offended by that because Jonathan didn't really mean it that way. It was more of an expression. Ohhhh... Why did he have to say mental. "Sorry" he whispered. He really is even though Kurumi did wink at him and teased him. He just got carried away.

Staring at Kurumi catching the spider, Jonathan remembered Kurumi liked creatures right? She was really close to them. She's interested in... uhmmm.. dragons was it? Yeah, dragons. Jonathan was also fascinated by dragons but he hasn't seen one yet. Most of the dragons he saw were either in the paper or of course, the books.

Then he was surprised the next minute, Kurumi already caught the spider and it was already on the jar. It was still freaky looking but it didn't matter that much since, it's already in a jar. Pretty sure, it's kinda helpless now. "Give it to a professor" he suggested. "Unless you want to keep it" which could be another option but would really weird. Some people like his uncle Arthur loves spiders. He even has one. Maybe that's why Jonathan doesn't visit his house often.
