Professor Vindictus was the first to arrive at the Broomshed and he quickly made sure that the place was warm enough by lighting a fire in the shed's lone stone fireplace.

While the room warmed up, he gathered up all of the supplies needed for the lesson and placed them at the center of a massive work table that took up a large section of the shed. Once that was done, he seated himself by the fire and began to read the sports section in The Daily Prophet while waiting for the students to arrive.

Taylor arrived with her work robes. She nodded at the professor and chirped, "Good day Professor Vindictus. How are you?" Tay smiled at her head of house.

Alyssa arrived in the broomshed wearing her work robes. She walked up and greeted the Professor who was sitting by the fire reading his paper."Good morning, Sir." before heading off to stand nearby and wait for further instructions.

Ella entered the broomshed with a smile, eager to get to work. Noticing the professor seated near the fire she waved, "Hey Professor Vindictus!" She then walked over to where a couple of her classmates were standing, waiting for further instructions.

Oakey entered the Broomshed for his next lesson. He was excited for this class because he knew a thing or two for broom maintenance. Harvey would have him help occasionally with his collection of brooms he used over the years.

He looked in the direction of where Vindictus was sitting. He nodded to the Professor but he seemed more transfixed on the Daily Prophet. Interesting article Professor? Oakey asked.

Vindictus set his paper to one side. "Welcome! Please take a school broom and find a place to sit around the table," he said and motioned to the broom racks that were located on both sides of the shed.

Alyssa quickly walked over to the broom rack and picked up a broomstick. She then walked over and found a place at the table and sat down.

Guess it wasn't a very good article thought Oakey. He grabbed the nearest broom in the shed and sat at the table as Vindictus asked them to.

Taylor followed the professor's instructions and took a school broom. She then went to a table and sat down, awaiting more instrutions.

Gideon headed down to the broomshed for the class on broom care. Never hurt to know few things, especially if they were new to you so the 5th year figured it was worth a shot. Dressed in the work robes as the note directed, the Gryffindor entered the shed just in time to hear Professor Vindictus' instructions to those already there. "Good day Professor," he greeted politely as he retrieved a school broom before taking a seat at one side of the work table.

Ella nodded, walking over and grabbing a broom. She headed to the table and found the nearest empty spot, sitting down with a smile.

Vickers was just slipping on his work robes when he entered the broomshed. "Hello Professor." he greeted his Head of House, then moved to take a broom as instructed.

Raven walked to the broomshed. She wondered why flying class today was held at the broomshed.

"Good morning, Professor." she said politely. As the instruction, she took a broom and sat around the table.

As the students gathered a school broom and gathered around the table, Vindictus began speaking.

"Caring for one's broom is more than just wiping it down after it gets dirty and making sure no one mistakenly uses it to sweep the floor. It is a complex and time consuming process. Not to mention, it can get a little messy."

He walked over to the table and picked up a small metal box. "This is a broom care kit. Inside you'll find a bottle of concentrated cleaner, polish for the broom handle, and tail twig clippers."

"Everyone, please grab a kit and return to your seats."

Taylor listern to the professor begin the lesson. When he told them to grab akit, she got up and went over and got a kit. Tay took the kit back to her seat and awaited for the professor to go on about the lesson.

Ella listened as the Professor spoke. She figured it would be time consuming to take care of a broom correctly as the brooms needed to be in tiptop shape if you wanted them to function correctly. She went to grab a broom care kit and brought it back to her seat, waiting for further instructions.

Messer paid attention while Professor Vindictus explained to them about the broom care kit. When he instructed them to grab one, the young badger got up from his seat and went to retrieve a kit then returned to his seat waiting for the next instructions.

Oakey stood from his seat and walked to where the Professor had laid out the broom kits. Taking one from it's place, Oakey brought it back to his seat, set it down in front of him and opened it. Oakey looked inside and saw each of the items Vindictus described were indeed in their laying on their sides.

Alyssa listened to what the Professor had to say before getting up from her seat and going over to pick up a kit and returning to her seat. She then opened the box and looked at the contents inside it.

Vickers set the broom aside and stood, nearing the area that held the broom care kit. Taking one for himself he turned to return to his seat, but not before taking a peek at the contents of the metal tin-- it was pretty standard stuff, but the Ravenclaw boy was curious as to how broom care kits looked like on this side of the pond.

As the instruction, Raven took a broom care kit then she returned to her seat, waiting for the next instruction.
Sooo.... today they would learn about broom care? No flying today? Hmmm.... But the broom care was important too, right?

Jen ot up, go a broom cleaning kit and returned to her seat. She rolled her eyes slightly.
Not like your broom would get ill ballenced if it has a bit of dirt on it.

Jacques took his broom as instructed and before he could even begin worrying about how he would fly the thing, they were instructed to grab a kit. Clumsily he stood and made his way getting the kit and returning to his spot moving his broom that he had used to keep his space then sat heavily. Jacques wouldn't be going to anymore flying classes the moment he was allowed to skip them, he didn't want to injure himself or anyone else for that matter and while the professor was nice enough he didn't want to give the man additional work he didn't need. Turning his hearing-aid up he looked up. He hadn't heard the professor correctly but he was sure there was mention of mess. Jacques didn't mind messes but he generally tried to avoid them as best as he could, a mess did explain the need for work robes.

Kurumi did as was instructed and returned to her station with the kit in hand. Professor Vindictus was going to make them take care of the school brooms again? This seemed to be a pattern with him: cleaning: They had done it the term prior...and perhaps the term before that as well. Was...Professor Vindictus getting too lazy to take care of the school brooms himself? Or was it that he was a little preoccupied with other things? He HAD snogged the school librarian that one term and had been rumored to be having some sort of relationship with Professor Lafay another term. Could it be that the man had found someone in his old age?

Kurumi opened up her kit to make sure that everything was in it that should be, but saw that her clippers were...a bit rusty and old. Probably not the best to use on brooms to get the job done efficiently and cleanly. She would have just used magic there to fix the issue, but she knew how he was with magic during his lessons. "Excuse me, professor," Kurumi said with her hand raised. "Are there any newer tail twig clippers? I am afraid that the ones in my kit are a bit too rusty to clip properly."
