You may need to spend some time here in the stacks looking for the book you seek, especially as Hogwarts doesn't currently have a librarian to assist. |

It feels like years since we've seen each other... except for that one Potions lesson." Vlim said, reffering to the one lesson they had somehow found each other. She kind of wished she was in Slytherin, because Cardi was there, but she knew her true house was Ravenclaw.

| Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia Vashti had been wandering among the bookshelves for several minutes, searching for a book that might help her. She already had an idea of what the answer to her question would be, but she needed a book on the subject to confirm it, and she needed to find it today. The question was nagging her more than usual lately and kept popping up especially when she was studying for her Defense Against the Dark Arts NEWT.
Her eyes scanned the shelves carefully as she searched for the one that might... Aha!
She snatched it from the shelf, flipped to the table of contents, found the page that would contain the information she needed, and turned to that page quickly. She skimmed the words at first but began reading when she appeared to reach the part she was looking for. She gasped softly as the paragraph confirmed her suspicion. "I knew it..."

Minerva walked into the library she had some books to return. As she walked around the shelves she found books laying around. She set down her bag in the corner of the room and picked up the books. Professor Hadley told her it would be ok to re shelve books. So she collected the books that were laying around not on the shelves and decided to organize them into where they would go first. She put them in piles of the sections they belonged. She knew she knew the library pretty well from spending so much time in it last term, but she didn't realize how easy to organize the books into sections without looking anything up. Once she had collected all the books that students had laid on tables or that were not shelved and they were in piles with their sections Minerva decided to take one stack at a time to their right section to put each book in it's correct place.

| ¼ of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pls So, it was time to study. Though, first, João had to survive the challenge of finding the right book, seeing as there was no librarian to assist them. How wonderful.
With a sigh, he inclined his head to the back as far as it would go to see the upper shelves better. This was useless. He could never find the right book that he looked for. Not that he looked for any book in particular. Had that been the case, he was clever enough to just summon it. No, what he needed was a thorough astronomy and divination book, since those two were the lessons he was bad at. Yeah, it seemed this would take all of his night just to find the right book.
Lucky thing he didn't have anything else to do today. |

Tayla needed a book to help her with the Astronomy assignment. She wanted to be able to tell time using a nocturnal and an armillary sphere sundial, but she needed a little help. Seeing a title that interested her, she took the book down and browsed through it. "Flat surface...true north...shadow..." she read bits of the page. It was something about how to use the sundial. "This will help." Tayla decided. It indicated she needed a compass but didn't have one. She could either borrow one from Professor Roslund who might, or use a Four-Point Spell. Tayla loved Charms and had a knack for it, so found the spell the more interesting choice.
Tayla continued to browse the bookshelf for more helpful volumes. She would start with homework when she was done with her little research.

She saw a guy who looked like he was having a hard time looking for a particular book, she approached him and asked "Excuse me, What book are you looking for? Perhaps I could help", then she smiled.

As Minerva put the first stack of books away she walked back to the other stacks sitting on the floor. She moved from stack to stack putting them away in their special spots on the book shelves. As she went putting books away she found more books around from students coming and going. So she gathered them and either added them to her stacks or putting them right on the shelves if she was close to it's spot. Once the stacks were all done she looked around the library. Minerva noticed and empty cart near the library desk and a thought crossed her mind. She walked over to it and examined it. Then she moved it closer to the seating area near the bookshelves. Walking to her bag she pulled out some parchment and started writing.
Parchment: Once she was done with the parchment Minerva put the parchment on the cart for other students to see. This should help keep the library cleaned up until she was back to re-shelf again. Smiling at her idea she walked over to get her things and headed out to her next class.

Minerva walked into the library needing a book to help her with her DADA class. She walked around until she found it. Sitting down a chair she opened it looking for what she wanted to put into her homework. She found the section on dueling and began to read. Glancing up she noticed that the book cart she had put had books on it. Smiling she got up and placed the book she took off the shelf into her bag and went over to the book cart. She was excited people were actually using the book cart. She picked up the books and organized them into the sections of the library and began putting the books back on the shelves. As she walked around she noticed some books still laying around which was expected so she gathered them as she went and put them away as well. There wasn't to many books out so Minerva didn't take to long putting them away. Looking at her watch she noticed it was time to head to her next class.

But she didn't want to seem to be jumping to conclusions so quick, so she kept her mouth shut. For now.
Just as the blonde was turning back to face Lilly, she heard the Gryffindor ask a question. "Its been fun, although it seems like a bit more class work this year" she let out a small laugh.
The more she looked at the young Gryffindor, the more it seemed like something was bothering her. "Is everything ok?" asked Chelsea curiously.

Zhenya walked into the Library, panting heavily from the long run up from the Slytherin Dungeon. Her long brown hair was hanging all around her face, and she brushed it away impatiently, gathered it into a messy bun at the top of her head and tied it up.
She was going to find that friend of hers today if it would end her in the Hospital Wing! She was determined.
She looked up and down every single bookshelf, except the restricted section, all over the library and saw no trace of her friend. Getting frustrated she turned on her heel and left the library.

| Pygmy Puff post #2 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Fairly certain that Lyra wasn't about to attck Nuage, Stella had thought about leaving both of them in the dorms when she went to the library to do a bit of early studying for exams next term. After a moment, though, she decided that might not help her argument if she really did want to see if Professor Williamson would let her keep the pygmy puff after the homework assignment was complete. Plus, they were supposed to be caring for it, and obviously that wouldn't be happening if she'd left it with her cat. Lyra couldn't feed it if it got hungry or anything. Therefore, Nuage came with her, perched on her shoulder again and humming quietly as she headed down one of the aisles to look for a particular history book.
Finding it halfway down the row of shelves, she carefully retrieved it, not wanting to dislodge the puff from her shoulder, then simply slid to a seated position on the floor. She could have gone back to the study tables, or looked for a chair elsewhere, but as long as she wasn't blocking anyone, she figured she wouldn't get in trouble. The library was pretty quiet anyhow. Opening the book, she found the page she needed, then started reading. Only to stifle a giggle as Nuage moved down her arm and planted itself squarely on top of the book so she couldn't read, before making a tiny sneezing sound. "I know. It's kind of dusty, but I need to study," she whispered, setting the book in her lap long enough to stroke the puff before picking it up and setting it on the floor next to her. "Just let me read a bit longer, then we can play." Once she picked the book back up, Nuage scaled her leg and settled in her lap, but didn't seem like it wanted to interrupt anymore. Maybe it actually understood me, she wondered, going back to stroking the soft fur while continuing to read.

Books. Books were Mikey's favorite things up until recently. He had shunned books away for some time, even homework; which was to affect two people in this case and possibly three with Aria. But he wasn't going to do her homework. Just tutor for some time to keep his mind running and away from the negative. Mikey's bag was already loaded with homework, quills, ink and the occasional pink paint if Hailey ever wanted to interrupt him and paint somewhere. "Where is that herbology book?" he whispered to himself; walking up ad down the aisles of the shelves. You would think that after spending plenty of time here, he would know this place like the back of his hand. But not really. Making a right turn and ending up by a window, the nerd bird finally found the right section. "Pesky little book, I got you," he said, reaching up for the book and bringing it down. Now he could finally get to work.

It did not occur to her to read the signs posted by the books shelves as there is an ORDER to where books are placed. She just popped in any random shelf and started perusing.
When she reached the end of the bookshelf, she thought she might as well try another spot. About to turn around, she wacked the lone person near the window with her bookbag. By accident, of course. But instead of apologizing, she just giggled and said, "Oopsies." The person wasn't paying attention anyway since they had a thick book covering their face.
Not wanting to get yelled at in case it was a Prefect, Hailey slowly edged away from the boy (she could tell it was a boy because of the hair, which was visible).
There were clearly no books on unicorns here.

There were clearly no books on unicorns here. Of course, as usual, Mikey's face was glued to the book, trying to suck in all the information he needed for both Hailey's and his homework. Not to mention some extra notes for the Canadian girl. Who was actually from Iceland even though she didn't want to admit it. As he was about to set his book down for the notes, someone carrying a bag decided it was "Hit Mikey with your Bag" day. All the other person could say was oopsies. And the nerd knew just the person who would ever say that. "You better properly apologize before I set your bag on fire," Mikey smirked behind his book.
Setting it down, he looked at the vampire and shook his head. "Where are you headed off to anyway?" he asked, opening his notebook and scribbling away notes and answers.

"My poor little Rose can't apologize loud enough for me to hear," he patronized her, but only teasing of course. Mikey continued his writing until Hailey mentioned looking for a book. A "How to draw Unicorns" book to be exact. He jut mouthed 'wow' and kept on scribbling. At least he was half way done by now. "Then, m'lady, I believe you will not find such book in the Herbology section. We should go towards the art section. I think it's towards the back," he added, closing his notebook and herbology book together and walking out onto the paths. "So you want to learn how to draw unicorns? I am dating a girl who likes unicorns. Hopefully you won't become obsessive about them," he laughed, putting his free arm around her shoulders and walking towards the art book. They should have that book here, right?

After she told him about her book, she watched him scribble some and then speak up. Poor thing, he was probably working on their homework and she was disturbing him. OH WELL. Unicorns were more important.
"We have an Art section here?" She asked open-mouthed. Well, good riddance. How could she have not known that?! Because she never bothered to learn about the library, that's why.
Hailey followed him from the little nook out into an open section. From there, he led her to the supposed Art section. "Yep, but it's for Care of Magical Creatures, so it's not like it's a hobby or anything," She replied though it was hard to keep the pink off her cheeks. Yes, it was for an assignment but she had her own personal reasons for wanting that book as well. Unfortunately for her, she was a bad liar. "Obsessive? No way. I have more important things to be obsessive about," she said with a wink.

At least Mikey didn't complain; he just stayed cool and collected, which was what he needed to do all the time. "Yeah, towards the back since it's not really a class we take here. They just have that section for when inspiring artists, like yourself, want to learn something new," he said, walking past all the aisles with taking students and whatnot. At least the small pathways were clear enough for them both to walk together. "Right, Care of Magical Creatures," he said sarcastically. Because they had totally learned about unicorns lately. Yup. "Oh really? Am I one of those things?" he smirked, knowing Hailey's answer was probably going to be a maybe.

"Inspiring artists?" Hailey asked with awe. "I'll take that as a compliment," She said with a giggle. She really wanted to be an artist one day, even though her parents were banging on her to be a Healer or something more...professional. However, only the future could tell what would happen.
"Hey, it's true! I--I asked Professor Williamson about them after class and he said I could, um, draw a picture for extra credit." YEP. Wasn't that the most convincing lie ever? Heck, she almost fooled herself.
As for the other obsessive things, Hailey just grinned shiftily at him. "Maaaaybe, guess you'll have to find out," She teased. Of course he really was one of the things she obsessed about...but maybe she wasn't supposed to admit that.

Of course he really was one of the things she obsessed about...but maybe she wasn't supposed to admit that. "Good, because it was one," he smiled, finally reaching their desired aisle. Mikey personally had never been to this point. But he had passed it many times, it had registered in his head on where it was located in the library. He liked that Hailey was a painter, it meant she was creative; unlike him. Mikey mostly spent his time reading books over and over again and doing work. But at least he liked to do it. "Drawing a picture of a unicorn could get you extra credit? If it was that simple, I would've done it ages ago. Try another excuse," he added, turning into the art aisle and looking for the book. Shouldn't be too hard right? "Oh, that should be fun," he nodded, reaching up to the shelf where he miraculously found Hailey's book. "Now that you have your book," he said, handing it over to her, "Can I go back to doing our homework? I need to get some note for Aria too,"

Damien, casually dressed in a grey t-shirt, leather jacket and jeans; found himself wandering the library again. Why he continued to think he'd have luck finding some form of literature to help him, he had no idea. Perhaps, even though he hated the place so much, the books actually gave him some form of peace. He didn't have to talk to the books --- explain anything to them and worry about sounding like a nutter.
He popped the collar of this jacket around his neck as he continued to wander the shelves.

He popped the collar of this jacket around his neck as he continued to wander the shelves. Daisy was sitting on the floor, her back pressed up against a wooden bookshelf and a pile of books littered the floor around her. One was standing up, in a tent-like fashion and underneath it Astrid, her chamelanewt was sleeping. As such, he was a weird combination of the purple color of the floor and cream with black squiggles that Daisy could only assume was meant to be writing from the book. At least the lizard was not trying to wiggle his way into a bag in an ill attempted try to find lickerish.
"Mmmm...not helpful." She closed the cover on the book she had been reading and half-tossed it off to the side by 5 other books. "Not helpful at all," she muttered closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose with the fingers of her left hand.

The quiet of the library could make anyone think they're hearing things, couldn't it? As Damien wandered to the library and through the bookshelves he hadn't noticed a single student. And now he was hearing the slight thud of something on something else. Perhaps he really was losing his mind and needed help. Thud. --- Thud.
It got steadily louder when a book actually thudded at his feet, sprawling its pages out like a paper fan would.
Quite strange this library.
And then a familiar figure appeard as he rounded the corner where the escaped book landed. Did she always do that to her nose when she was frustrated? Damien recalled the incident of one of Daisy's large books wacking him in the head, proceeded by her yelling at him for skpping out on a meeting the two of them were supposed to have one summer in Diagon Alley. She didn't pinch her nose then. Perhaps these were different circumstances.
The boy bent down to pick up the book and walked over to where Daisy sat. "Aren't these supposed to be treated well?" he asked her, waving the book back and fourth. "What would your Head of House think of the sight of you throwing books carelessly around like ..."
It was then he noticed the pile of books that were strewn about around her. "Merlin," he muttered. "What exactly are you looking for?"

"The base fundaments of Force and how it flows through the three principles sources and their effective uses on the universe." She left off pinching her nose and proceed to rub her hand all over her face, pulling her cheeks down just enough to make her eyes bug out a bit. She covered her mouth and looked up at him. He looked confused, but then Damien tended to look confused about everything. Didn't mean the boy didn't understand, just that he was - well, lost.
Literally lost.
"You look horrid. I take it the sleeping charm you found over Christmas holiday didn't work?" She motioned to the hemp bracelet around his wrist.
