It seems the prefects have been hard at work this year on yet another event for the residents of Hogwarts. A pile of wood sits beside the lake lit up with a fire that can be viewed from the duck pond. Nearby is a pile of blankets for the students to pick out for sitting if they so chose, and a table laden with skewers and food for the hungry few. There's the makings for smores, hotdogs, chips, and drinks covering the table as well as napkins and plates for eating on.
The clear focal point of this bonfire, however, is the stage also beside the lake. It's devoid of props and decorations for now. But it does have an eerie sort of feel about it that makes you wonder just what it is the prefects have in store for you.
Zhenya had to bite her tongue to stop from laughing. "Imagine if he did though," she said, trying not to laugh. Although, he did scare her a lot too.
"But... I don't want him to mess about. I want the real ghosts to come and scare us! Maybe tonight will be the night we see them!" she was excited though.
Laura looked at Zhenya and made a funny face as Zhenya decided she would try not to laugh, saying that it probably was a good thing that she didn't laugh of she might have hurt Treyen's feeling, not that Laura minding that at all, maybe it would get him off the stage. "I wish they would." Laura whispered, "it might liven up this show."
Isabelle didn't really know what this Boofire thing was. Once she got there she heard someone reading a story was it. Izzy didn't really know but she grabbed a blanket anyway and spread it out on the edge of the group. Butterbeer in one hand smore in the other she sat down and listened to what was going on. Even if no one would talk to her it still seemed worth it to come just for the food. Listening she began to munch on her smore and drink some of her butterbeer.
First he saw the announcement in their common room, then he saw the faraway bonfire flickering by the Lake. Given how easily he saw this from the Ravenclaw Tower, he deduced how large that bonfire must be.
He was curious when he read the announcement. But as he made his way towards the Lake he is both curious and slightly worried that a bonfire that big might spiral out of control. To the delight of some perhaps, but not for him.
He arrived at the site to see their Quidditch Captain in a dress. "Hello Captain. You look... nice." Well she looked different. But he figured nice would hopefully be received better. And she was standing by the stage. This brought a smile to the Ravenclaw boy "Are you going to be presenting something Captain?" Maybe thats why she looked nice.
His eyes trailed next to the lad he remembered from the train to Hogwarts. Which is a good thing because thats the one clue that got him to remember what his name was "Hello Treyen." he greeted the Head Boy. Then his eyes shifted to another girl-- the Hufflepuff Girl Prefect, which he figured given her badge.
Then his attention was taken by that bonfire that wont be ignored. And the table full for campfire fare. A bonfire party. Well he wasnt much for parties, but he does find it enjoyable sitting around the bonfire and stargazing....
... if only there were stars to be enjoyed that night.
Ellie's eyes shot up at the voice. She GLARED at Vickers. She did NOT look nice, okay? Dresses were not nice. They were horrible inventions. She was just being a good sport and wearing one.
She smirked at his inquiry, though. "Sort of."
Then the lights dimmed and she took the opportunity to make her way into the shadows. But not before giving a wave to Vickers.

Finally, he accepted her offer of food without putting up some silly argument. Though that was probably more due to the fact that he was focused on this thing they were doing.
She was too.
Just not really while students were arriving and they hadn't even started yet. But when they did begin, she pulled her last marshmallow from the fire, and waited til all of the attention was on Treyen before disillusioning herself and heading off behind the others.

Vlimia sat down near the fire, but not too close that the hem of her robes could ignite. There was nothing wrong with being a little paranoid about catching on fire, was there? As soon as she was settled, a decidedly sparkly, orange spark crackled out from the fire and landed a centimetre away from her shoe. Vlim shuffled away from the bonfire 'BOOfire' and found herself at the edge of the group. Oh well, it was better than being burnt to a crisp. She saw somebody she vaguely knew, even though the girl was a seventh-year. "Uh, hello." Vlimia said awkwardly. "Isn't your name Isabelle? I remember seeing you somewhere... have you ever been to Paris?" Vlim asked, trying to remember where she had seen the older girl. A Beaxbatons open house? The Eiffel Tower?

Treyen was now looking at the students sitting in front of him as he stood by the corner of the stage, he wasn't in costume, no, he was silly and was wearing his school uniform, minus the robes, the bonfire was keeping him warm enough, "First, I'd like to welcome you to the grounds tonight." Yeah, they were all welcomed and whatnot. They were also free to stay close to the bonfire if they were extra cold, it won't get out of control. Promised.

THAT was the difference from Hogwarts' usual bonfires. Which weren't as usual to begin with, they just got lucky this term.
NOW he was free to take a sit, and as he did so you may have noticed how he flicked his wand towards the bonfire, you may have not, that's irrelevant, what IS irrelevant is that the light coming out of the bonfire was dimmed, a lot, yet the heat emanating from it was still the same.
"Everyone talks about what happens after Hogwarts was founded, no? But...how about before? Did something even happen at this same spot we're all hanging out? Over a thousand years ago? Some pre-founders thing, considering they were on an anniversary and stuff, "Now, some of you may or may not have heard about this story of two spirits that seek revenge on the school...well, we know the truth, and you will too, after we're done telling the story, of course." Did he have people's attention now? Because the torches on the stage suddenly lit up...revealing nothing but some misty fog around the stage.
Yes, ghost story.
OOC: Pay close attention to the Prefects from now on. And...don't worry, we'll make sure nothing happens to the audience, meaning YOU. ^^ Also, keep in mind that we have TIME ZONES, so what may have seemed like hours in real life, it may have happened within seconds in the RP.

Back to the story, and the marshmallow thief the Head Boy looked to the stage once more, and he'll recommend everyone to do so as well, but since the stage was suddenly changing its scenery he supposed people will be looking towards it, right?
The misty fog remained, only now it was dissipating between, what seemed to be, parts of a huge forest, much like the forbidden one over there, next to where they sat.

He peered behind the trees on stage. "She shall come to me presently," he murmured softly, the older language falling haltingly off his tongue. He stepped to the middle of the stage, sitting on a log and brooding.
After several second's pause, he began a monologue. "How can I tell her these tidings of war? She will never forgive me for leaving, for forsaking our love." He let out a long sigh. "I must leave her with a token of my affections, lest I ne'er return... But what can reveal the depth of my love? How can I prove my fealty, my intentions?" he wondered aloud, sighing with the weight of the future on his shoulders.
Then he looked up, as if he had heard a rustling coming through the woods. Rising, he called once more. "Charlotte? Is that you?"
After putting the finishing touches on her costume, Vashti made her way quickly but carefully down to the area the BOOfire was being held at. This was going to be so fun! She wasn't one for listening to scary/horror stories herself, but helping perform one was a different story.
She arrived just in time to hear Treyen beginning the story, but she remained in the shadows near him since it wasn't time for her to come on yet. And she would've just watched and minded her own business...if she hadn't noticed what Treyen was wearing: his school uniform? Really? That was NOT creepy, dark, or in any way fitting for a GHOST story. Looked like she was going to have to help him out.
After drawing her wand, Vashti gave it a wave as she said a silent spell that would - at least until the end of the story - change all the non-black-colored clothes he was wearing to appear black. Since she couldn't conjure up a whole new costume for him, that would have to do. Thank Merlin she was near him, so surely no one would've seen the spell and it didn't interrupt the story at all. It would be hard not to notice that the colors of his clothes had changed though, and if Treyen noticed and looked back at her, she would smirk at him.
You're welcome, Mr. Head Boy.

Anyway, this bonfire is really nice. I remember the times I would go camping with my family and we would sit in front of a fire like this and my parents would tell us ghost stories. O__o is Treyen about to tell us one?" Alyssa asked as she heard the Head Boy speak.
Hadn't he just said slow down? Take a quick breathe before saying so much. Camping like a lot of fun, but a lot of work. I prefer this kind of simple bonfire.
Yeah I guess he is Oakey said paying full attention to the stage and giving Alyssa some of his attention. He laughed under his breathe when he saw Keefer enter the stage in the silly Medieval outfit.
Adeline looked around. She saw fire. Fire? Why was there a bonfire? Was that normal for Hogwarts? Adeline walked down to the fire and looked at the people that were there. She didn't know anyone. Well she didn't see Alec or Pretty Boy. But maybe she would know someone down near the fire. Adeline tried to look at the other students but she just didn't know anybody. She knows she needs to get out more and meet new people and be less shy and more bold.

After Oakey attempted to calm the hyper Alyssa. He turned to check out his surroundings, see if there was anybody else around. Then he spotted Vickers the Ravenclaw with the mysterious nickname. Hiya Vickers. Oakey called to him waving from his spot on the ground by the fire
Then Treyen had called for their attention by the stage. Giving the Head Boy his full attention he listened on about what was here long before the founders discovered Hogwarts.
He returned Alyssa's wave and chuckled "Yes Alyssa, I remember you, Transfiguration class. And we're Twitter buddies." Yes names. He remembers them. For the most part.
And here's another one he remembered "Hello Oakey" the boy with a wooden name. Or something out of the Muggle eye-wear advertising.

Yup Vincenzo, thats his name. Although he wondered if it was common anywhere outside of a Latin community. Apparently it was.
As the stage began to light up he listened to Treyen start to narrate. A ghost story? He was curious, he has never actually done the whole bonfire-ghosty-stories thing before. Or any kind of scary story. Although maybe that was because stories told to him have always been more historical or related through the scope of cold logic.
SPOILER!!: like Chris said-- DINNER THEATER! XD

Elise scurried in, a little late but apparently hadn't missed anything but introductions. Okay, not too bad, right? RIGHT?!
Anyways, she took a seat next to a random person and skewered some marshmallows. Holding them over the fire for a moment, she waited for the outside to melt slightly before pulling it out and allowing it to harden. Perfect.
Taking one, she turned the hot marshmallow in her hand, inspecting it. Seemed okay. Popping into her mouth, she payed attention just in time to hear the Head Boy guy person start talking. YAY!
Jezz smiled at the girl who had sat down next to her. Maybe she would be brave to and not scared of the ghost story. If not then they could be scared together.

Oooo. A scary romance. How lovely. What would happen next. Was it Charlotte that made the rustling sound or was it someone else? She toasted a marshmallow waiting for the figure to appear.

"I don't mind ghost stories. It's just...being by the Forbidden Forest and all with all the creatures out and about...you know..." he said, scooting more closer to her.
Treyen couldn't help but keep his eyes glued to the stage. And he blinked.
What on Earth was Keefer doing with a SWORD?! Sure, it was part of whatever costume he chose...but, seriously? A sword? How about a WAND, Keefer? Wizards always carry wands around.
Also, the Head Boy had a very important question. Who was Charlotte? And why did this remind him or 'Romeo and Juliet'? It didn't have to remind him of that play, because this was nothing like it. Blink. All Treyen wanted to do was yell 'CUT'...because...he should've known that they were going to add names into this...and most importantly, Treyen should've known WHO was Charlotte.
The same atmosphere remained untouched, however, if you looked to the opposite side of where the Head Boy was sitting...across the stage...you'll see far away jets of lights coming from one place to the other and so on. That could only mean war. "The Wizarding world has fallen into war. All Wizards are called to battle, defending the side they so trusted." Exactly how many times have Wizards fought throughout history??
"Was there something the Wizard could do to prevent him from leaving? Perhaps for good?" No need to answer that question, really. BUT you start hearing some voices, the words you cannot comprehend, but some voices, or maybe just one, is heard on the distance.
Treyen was hoping that the Prefects hadn't changed the story, though.

Kennedy was sat ALL the way in the BACK. He was under his dark cloak that caused him to blend in with the night. Truth be told, he was REALLY nervous and that's why he hid under the cloak but he was interested to see how this would turn out. He looked down at his wardrobe, which wasn't his usual attire. It involved ancient looking clothing and that of a certain person.
The prefect tugged on his cloak, pulling it closer to him. His wasn't chilly, but the appearance of the Head Boy reminded him of why he was there.
Zhenya kneeled down next to Glenn and rested her elbows on her knees. She snuggled up closer to the fire which was lovely against her skin.

"oh I hope there is ghost stories!!" she said.
"I've been good." She said, sitting up again. "Just doing ya know, stuff." Yup. Very good at explaining Glenn.
"Ugh, I've watched too many horror movies before. My mum seems to think that watching muggle movies, despite them being horror, would still be better than watching any related to magic." Glenn rambled, "Ghost stories. Are basically spoken movie right?" Yes. Get ready to be terrified if this was what was happening Glenn.

OOC2: The bits in BLACK will always be parts of the story we'll be telling, or associated with it.

"The story is about a man and a woman, a wizard and a witch, who loved each other...but were separated by unexpected circumstances." Those unexpected circumstances will be told, just wait.
The fire dimmed a bit more, and the torches lit up more and more.
What was seen on stage?

After several second's pause, he began a monologue. "How can I tell her these tidings of war? She will never forgive me for leaving, for forsaking our love." He let out a long sigh. "I must leave her with a token of my affections, lest I ne'er return... But what can reveal the depth of my love? Then he looked up, as if he had heard a rustling coming through the woods. Rising, he called once more. "Charlotte? Is that you?"

Glenn huddled under her blanket as she turned to face the stage where everything was happening. Everyone had gone silent.
She sipped her butterbeer quietly as she waited, hanging onto every word of the play/story/whatever. It hadn't really gotten scary yet. But she knew that it eventually would, and she wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

Wait. Hold up.
Spirits? Seeking revenge? On the school? As in Hogwarts? The one they LIVED in? Ellie's eyes got wide and she hugged her knees up to her chest as she waited for the Head Boy to continue.
And she wished Dallin was there to hold her because she was a real wuss when it came to scary stories. Ugh. She should've dragged him down there.
Anya snuck in a bit closer to the fire. The ones closest to the fire were the ones eaten last during scary stories. And Anya didn't want to be eaten.
Plus she was a bit cold. Even wrapped up in a blanket, the little first year was still shivering a little bit.
She spotted Ellie and plopped into the seat right next to her. Why was the head boy all black looking? This was going to be one of those stories that made her not sleep for days, wasn't it?
She turned to Ellie. "Will you hold my hand if it gets scary?" she asked with wide eyes.
Even if the older girl said no, Anya was still planning on clinging to the Ravenclaw. Andpossiblycrawlintoherlap.

Marshmallow stick in hand, Stella had been sitting near the fire, toasting a marshmallow and just generally staying warm. The blanket she'd brought with her helped, but she was still thinking about borrowing one of the ones the prefects had set out as well. Perhaps on her next trip for snacks. It was either that or hoping Matt would show up and she could snuggle. She wasn't sure that was happening, though, so blankets were good. And her coat, which was securely buttoned up as well. At least she wasn't scared of the story being told. Ghosts weren't that bad, after all. She still thought veela were worse.
Of course, when she'd first arrived and seen the stage, all she'd been able to think of was two summers ago and that carnival that had been in Diagon Alley. When she'd met Salander, when he'd tried to talk her into doing a monologue. Even without actually knowing she could very well have done so, but she hadn't. She knew that nobody was going to be bothering her to get up and act, though, as it seemed that was the job of the prefects. The Head Boy was doing a rather good job of being the narrator, though, and she'd turned her head toward the area across from the Hufflepuff, watching the lights and strainign to hear the faint voices.

Keeping his head low so as to not disturb the play going on on the stage - was that Keefer dressed up as some kind of knight?! - Lewis let his eyes dart around the area for a moment until they fell on Indy who was apparently quite attentatively listening to the story. Quickly making his way over to her, he sat down next to her with a soft "Hey" so as to not startle her. "What's going on? What did I miss?" He added in a whisper once he was more or less comfortably seated on the ground.
There was a prefecty person on the stage now. This was weirrdd. It was like a play. Indy liked plays. But this one was going to seem to be pretty scary. Which might not a good thing. What if she couldn't sleep later? She was really sleepy too, which would not be good. Indiana liked her sleep. Maybe she could see if Spikey was here. He'd protect her from the scary story right? Not that it really seemed too scary right now. Which was a very good thing. Indy had an inkling that it was going to get scarier which was not good.
Oooh. Lookie! Lewis was here. Indy smiled as he sat down next to her. Yaay. Someone was with her now. Lewis was a big boy so he'd totally protect her if she got scared. "Hi Lewis." The second year smiled at her older friend. ""Oh....well it's a bonfire, and they're like telling a scary ghosty story....I think it's supposed to be scary ghosty anyway." She thought so anyway.

One prefect was now on stage. Seemingly, no..Not seemingly but really acting out the part of the man on the story. She'd love to know more about the Pre-Hogwarts history that was why she wasn't talking to anyone as she sat there, fully focused on the performance.
You can say that Hades was definitely not into the whole story thing. Rather than sitting near the bonfire, why not spend time near the the fire place in the common rooms instead? Although Hades knew that one shall not deny food. That was probably the only reason he showed up. Taking a bite of the hotdog he sneakingly grabbed, he watched the play with a dull expression on his face. Now, this was about history again, wasn't it? Bleggh!!
No longer interested in the play, Hades took another bite of the hotdog and looked around as everyone was paying attention on the play. He sighed, feeling like sneaking away back to the common room. The only thing that held him from creeping away was the food...

Hmm… but Gwen was pretty sure she was the Slytherin Captain.
As she heard the Head Boy starting to tell some ghost story, Gwendolyn drew her attention towards him. Hmm… the beginning was… promising.
Kimalia smirked, Aw, how nice to see someone want to have a place to sit. Smiling kindly she nodded, "Of course, you can." Her part wasn't for a while so she could relax for a little bit beforehand.

‘Thanks’, the young Ravenclaw smirked and found a place to sit. ‘I don’t believe we met before… I’m Gwen’, the third year went on talking and extended her hand.
The story started rather promising, but Gwen frowned a little as the love part began. Why can’t there be stories WITHOUT it?! Really. It would be much better, the third year told herself and then drew her attention back to what was happening. Though… it was after all a ghost story, so that should make it better. Mhmm… possibly.
As some other character appeared, Gwendolyn glimpsed at the stage . A play! She really wasn’t expecting that! Anyway, it seemed like he was going to act rather well too. Gwen admired anyone that could act at all, because she knew she would have probably burst into laughing from the moment she’d have stepped on the stage.

Leaning back a little and on his hands, Lewis stretched out his legs to get more comfortable. Right it seemed, he hadn't missed all that much. "Right. So I haven't missed a lot of the story, have I?" He replied with a smile for Indy while at the same time keeping a close eye on what was going on onstage. There was still only Treyen - as the narrator - and Keefer - as somekind of Muggle prince? - on stage.
Wait, where were the other Prefects and Quidditch Captains by the way? Would they be part of the story too? Hopefully.
Okay. And also where had everybody else gotten their food from? He wanted some too! Oh over there. But he couldn't exactly get up again to get some. Crap! He was going to have to wait for after the story. Or would there be an intermission? He didn't dare levitate any over to him in case somebody broke his focus and hence causing somebody else to get a brand new marshmallow-hat.

Kurumi fidgeted more and more with her robes when she heard Treyen kick off the story telling and the fifth year was suddenly overcome with stage fright. Merlin...she was up soon, wasn't she?

Wait...Charlotte? That wasn't her name. Her name was Kurumi. Had Keefer lost his mind? It took her a few seconds, standing halfway out of the shadows , for her to realize that SHE was Charlotte. Right, THAT had been what Keefer had meant when he pulled her aside earlier.
Stepping out fully into the light now, Kurumi tried to mask her stage fright with an overly enthusiastic smile. She did have a character to play.
"WILLIAM!" she exclaimed, arms opened wide as she walked across the stage. "My..." she paused. Merlin this was sort of awkward. "...love." And she hugged Keefer!William. "I'm frightened for you. I saw something in the tea leaves...and...OH WILLIAM!" And cue another awkward looking and overly dramatic hug from the Gryffindor. "Promise me. Promise me that you will never leave me no matter what."
