Default {Basic} Arithmancy Three

Josephina wasn't quite sure still how she felt about splitting up the years.... but there were a couple topics she wanted to go over with some of the graduating students and one thing she was sure about was the fact that the young weren't ready. Besides there were also some rudimentary topics she wanted to go over with the young ones. So it worked out well.

Taking a seat on her desk, she crossed her ankles and waited for the young ones to enter, tapping her fingers casually on the desk space beside her.

ooc: reminder, this lesson is for first through third years only, with the exception one third year. The lesson has begun. Pretend as if you've been there the whole time =)

Ella entered the Arithmancy classroom and smiled at the Professor, who looked quite comfy sitting at her desk. "Hi Professor!" The small badger said cheerfully, giving the woman a small smile. Looking around, she noted not many students were in class yet and she took a seat up front, knowing she always listened better when she was in close approximation to the teacher. She began drumming her fingers on her desk as she waited for more kids to pile in.

Alyssa entered the classroom. She noticed the Professor sitting on her desk, so went up to her to greet her. "Hello Professor, 3rd year reporting for class."she cheekily grinned before taking a seat at the nearest desk.

Silvia walked into the classroom, ready for another interesting Arithmancy lesson. "Hello Professor," she said as she made her way her usual seat in the second row. She pulled out her textbook and writing materials and set them on the desk in front of her, then perused her textbook while she waited for class to start.

Ira entered the Arithmancy classroom, looking all bright and cheerful. She was sure that today's class was going to be an easy one..

Anyways, on entering, she greeted Professor Hadley, "Good day Professor!" Smiling at her, she then went and sat not too near to the Professor, a little back. She never liked to be close to the professor!

Next class Arithmancy, right.

Messer entered the classroom and saw the Professor sitting on her desk. "Good day, Professor Hadley." he greeted her with a polite nod before he went to take a seat. He noticed that not many students were in class. Hmm..maybe that's because today lesson is only for first through third years.

Nodding as students greeted her, she noticed a rather small number of students present to which she reminded herself that she limited the third lesson by years. Cracking a smile at Alyssa's comment about being a third year, she hopped down from the desk as it seemed the last student took their seats.

"Welcome! So some of you might be thinking that this lesson is going to be rudimentary and going into the Core Numbers..." That was basic, but alas, it was not the case. After all, core numbers can be reviewed at any age and just looked at differently. "But rather instead, we're going to be discussing some very special numbers. Three of them, which are often overlooked when beginners do their calculations, hence why I've decided to run a special lesson on just these numbers alone."

"Does anyone have any guesses as to what the general group of numbers that I'm referring to is called?"

Ella really didn't have any idea what the Professor was talking about so she wracked her brain trying to think of significant numbers...ones she might overlook. Maybe she was talking about birthdates? They had three numbers, one for the month, the day, and the year. But they had worked with those before in calculations. Still, she raised her hand. "Professor, you're not talking about our birthdates are you?"

Ira had just assumed that they would be discussing the core numbers. She didn't have any idea as to which numbers the professor was talking about. So she just kept quiet and waited for the professor to explain further.

Alyssa thought for a while. She totally had no clue but decided to hazard a guess. So she raised her hand. "Professor could the general group of numbers be called the Character Numbers?" 'Well it was worth a guess' Alyssa figured.

Sophie, as usual, would not try to answer these questions. She wasn't even sure what she thought about Arithmancy, except that she really like the number things. She didn't even try to understand the questions anymore. It seemed as she was there literally just to calculate. Heh!

She looked around as her classmates spoke.

Listening as one of her first years spoke up about it possibly being birthdates, Fina shook her head. Nope, she wasn't talking about birth dates. "Not quite, but these special numbers may be found in a number that we calculate from our birthdays." Indirect connection, maybe?

Fina shook her head again as another one of her Hufflepuffs hazarded a guess. "Not quite."

Seriously? No one knew? She would have thought by the fact that she said special numbers it would have given it away. But she guessed that was tribute to the fact that this was a Beginner's lesson.

After another moment or two of blank stares and confusion, Fina spoke up, answering her own question. "There are three double-digit numbers that require special emphasis and attention. These numbers, collectively, are known as the Master Numbers. Why are they called Master Numbers? What makes them so?"

Silvia thought for a moment. Master numbers, she was a little familiar with those. She raised her hand. "Well, I know that the master numbers are the only two digit numbers that you don't always have to reduce to a single digit, but I don't know why that is."

Master Numbers? *blinks*

Arithmancy wasn't his strong point but it never hurts to try, right? Messer raised his hand "Umm..Was it because they possess more potential than other numbers?" No? Usually the leader always had more treat than their subordinate, maybe this also happen with numbers.

Jory raised his hand. "I think it's because they tell more about a person than other numbers,'' he said though he was not sure of the answer.

Alyssa almost smacked her head when she heard what the answer was. Of course it was the Master Number. Duh!. So she thought carefully before she raised her hand and answered the next question."Professor it is called a Master Number because they possess more potential than the other numbers. They are believed to be highly charged, difficult to handle, and require time, maturity, and it takes a lot of effort to integrate it into one's personality."

Nerida eyes went blank, general group numbers?? What were those...She tried to remember what her brothers had tried to teach her before she went off to Hogwarts...She couldnt remembers...She mentally hit herself when hearing the anwser, she knew that, she had confused general numbers and master numbers. She anwsered A master number has more detail than the others? So they have more potential than the general numbers... She thought that was it, it had been a while since her brothers had "taught" her and Sarassi...

Glenn paused her doodling in the corner of the parchment page in her journal and looked up at Professor Hadley, "Err- don't they have kinda well- more strong characteristics described in it or something?" Glenn frowned, she didn't feel like she was explaining it very well, "I mean, they're more strong in their meaning, right?" Shrug. That was her try at answering the question anyway.

Master Numbers? What were they? She could break it down, obviously numbers were digits, and master was charge, ahead, Top! She raised her hand and said, "Professor might they be called master numbers because they hold more detailed information than the other numbers?" Oh well, she had no idea.

Master numbers? Oh yeah! Ira mentally slapped herself when it dawned on her. They had studied it last term, hadn't they?

She raised her hand up and answered, "11, 22 and 33 are master numbers...." But why were they called so? Ira thought about it. She just knew one thing and so she said it, "I just know that the Master numbers can't be reduced to single digits. They are somehow special."

Saying so, Ira sat down and waited for the professor to explain further.

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed. "A master is someone that is more important that a normal person so I would have to say that a master number is the best number so the 3 best numbers will be 11, 33, and 99 or well something like that, Laura was 11 and her friend mother was 33 and 99 was the biggest double digit number." Laura had no idea if it was right but she thought it was a good guess.

This question, Fina was sure some of them would figure out. Once the topic was told, then it was usually a bit easier. She nodded at the Eagle girl; "They're rooted in single-digit numbers though, but when you get a master number in your calculation, you don't look to the single-digit root number for the interpretation." Because why look to that, when there was something more . . . grand.

A bit less confidently though. "Yes ... A master number has more details and more potential than single digit numbers." There's more ... specialness rooted in it.

"Yes, that's correct. 11, 22, and 33 are the three numbers that are considered master numbers. Because they hold greater potential than the others." Fina nodded. It was studied and proven. Numerologists spent decades studying this stuff.

"More important, yes," Fina nodded at Laura who started off good, though she wasn't sure where she got the 99 from. "And yes, that's good logic, though you're incorrect on one account. 99 is not a master number, but rather 22 is the third one."

"Not really, Ella dear. To get these numbers, the numbers are rooted within you." Fina paused, a moment. "Whether it's your life path number, your heart's desire number, or even your major cycles or pinnacles or even your challenge numbers. The master numbers is rooted within the number calculations. It's innate. You either have one or you don't." And just cause you didn't have one someplace, doesn't mean another of your numbers won't have one either.

"Not exactly. Master numbers are the numbers 11, 22, or 33, which may be found in the final calculation before you reduce the number you're calculating to a single-digit."

Right then. "So let's start with the number 11. What can tell you tell me about this number? Just tell me one or two things, please."
