"Oh right, that's a state too! Indiana must just be a really popular name," Alex said with a chuckle. There were certainly no states named Alexander anywhere that he was aware of.

"So what house are you in?" he asked. Clearly not Huffie, he'd have noticed her. He noticed everyone in his house. Not necessarily by name but definitely by face.

"I dont know..." Indiana shrugged with a smile. She hadn't heard of anyone else with the same now as her. So she didn't know how popular it was really. "I like it though." She loved her name. She liked being unique. She was totally cool like that. Her brother had a unique name. So really they were just a super unique family.

"I'm a ravenclaw." Totally the best house of course. Well. Once they were winning they would be. But that would totally happen soon. Indy knew it. They had to win. "What about you?"

"I'm a Hufflepuff," Alex said proudly. The only house for him. He remembered how back in the day he'd been scared to say that...mostly due to his father. Well. Step-father to be technical. Right? Anyways...

They'd reached a lull in the conversation now, and since Alex didn't have any place else he needed to be, he figured he'd continue the conversation for a while. "So, uh...play Quidditch at all?" he asked.

Aww. He was a hufflepuff. Hufflepuffs were cute. She didn't really know any that well though, but Alex seemed nice enough. So all hufflepuffs must be nice right? Indy sure hoped so. Because well it wouldn't be very nice. She'd heard that Slytherins were the mean ones so she was hoping to stick with that idea.

Oooh. Quidditch! Indiana loved quidditch. So so so much. "I love quidditch." Indy beamed with a big smile. "I'm a beater." And she loved beater. Rawwrr! She couldn't wait to hit bludgers at people.

To be perfectly, totally, and completely honest.....the armor freaked Ellie out. She was SURE she's mentioned this to someone lately. Messer, maybe. But it was TRUE. They just stood there. Like statues. And for all you knew, there could actually be a person inside. Dead, even, maybe.

And then suddenly, they'd MOVE.

It was as if they were purposely trying to scare you. ON PURPOSE.

GASP!

That was probably it, right? It's not like they have anything better to do. They just stood around waiting to SCARE people all day, didn't they?

"I'm on to you," Ellie warned them through narrowed eyes.

Evelyn was tired. Pulling off all-nighters and attending classes during the day was obviously exhausting. The girl yawned as she made her way through a corridor which was filled with creepy looking armor...eek.

Frankly, she couldn't see WHY a corridor would be filled with armor that looked like they were going to jump on you any second. Heh. Anyway, trying to avoid getting too close to the armor, she walked down the corridor when she noticed someone familiar standing close-by.

"Ellie!"

A loud gasp escaped the redhead's lips as she whipped her head to the voice.

"For Merlin's sake! Don't do that!" Ellie was NOT one to get spooked so easily, but...the ARMOR, man. They were creepy. And she'd JUST discovered they were trying to mess with her. And then her name was called when she thought she was alone.

It just wasn't nice.

Um. So, that wasn't the reaction she was expecting at all. Evelyn was a little confused actually. Why was the ravenclaw so scared? Although, it was quite a surprise to see the usually self-confident girl quite..not so confident right now. Surely, the armor wasn't THAT scary.

"I didn't do anything." Evelyn couldn't keep the smug expression off her face.

Well, yeah. That's the problem. Evelyn didn't do anything.

"Don't you have footsteps or something?" Because Ellie didn't hear a thing until her name was spoken. "Or ever hear of clearing your throat or...entering a person's line of vision before greeting them?" Any of those things could have prevented the mini!heart attack the Ravenclaw had.

GOSH, Evelyn.

Evelyn stared for a minute before she started to laugh. "Well, I do have footsteps but you were...well, so engrossed in whatever you were doing that you didn't listen to them." Evelyn's laughter subsided although she still had a grin on her face. As for her question.. "Erm.. no. Not really. Well, if you want..I'll do those things the next time I see you somewhere." Gosh, Ellie did look a little spooked but frankly..Evelyn found the whole situation rather funny.

So engrossed in 'whatever' she was doing? "I'll have you know that I was making sure the armor were behaving themselves." A very important task, mind you. Hogwarts needn't have armor rampaging around, causing mischief.

That's what Peeves was for.

"That would be appreciated." But, really, only in situations where Ellie was already a bit frightened. Such as...by the armor...or the tapestry...or near the library...

"What were you doing?" Besides sneaking up on people.

Snort. "Behaving themselves, Ellie?" Evelyn couldn't keep the grin off her face..especially when Ellie looked so serious. The girl looked up at the armor again. They definitely looked scary..as if there was someone standing inside looking down at you. Woah. That thought didn't strike her before..GULP.

What was she doing? "Nothing, really? I was just roaming around the castle and I turned up here..." Unfortunately. She was never coming up here again. That was for sure. "What about you? Why are you here? You know, apart from teaching the armor to behave themselves..." Evelyn smiled. Heh. Ellie was hilarious.

Ellie stared at Evelyn some more. "Yes," she said, quite matter-of-factly. "You obviously haven't been in the school long enough to know what they can get up to." Like...existing.

"Roaming?" She raised an eyebrow. Likely story. She just wasn't trusting anyone at the moment. "I was.....wandering," she admitted. The sentence ended with Ellie turning away from the Hufflepuff. Apparently, she was doing the same thing she found skeptical of Evelyn. Heh.

"Oh, okay. What do they get up to, Ellie?" Evelyn raised her eyebrows. Well, they were certainly creepy to look at but if Ellie ends up saying that they move around and stuff..well..that would be her cue to run away.

"Yes. Roaming." Honestly, why did the claw seem suspicious of everything? "Well, I suppose both of us have nothing better to do than wander around the castle and having weird conversations about armor.." Heh. Eyes back on the armor. In case, they move or anything.

"You know... mischievous things," she said. "Walking, moving, laughing. THINGS." She wasn't completely sure the first thing happened, but Ellie definitely wouldn't put it past them. Devious things, the armor.

"I suppose." Shame, too. Wandering could become boring quite quickly. Or you could end up lost.

Huh, what? Walking, moving....laughing!? Evelyn stared at the girl. "You mean to say that they actually do those kinds of things?" Huh. No. No. That was impossible. "You're joking." Evelyn stated, flatly. Frankly, it was really bad joke. You just don't go scaring people around by saying such things. Ellie was so weird. Jeez.

"Hm. it quite sad, isn't it?"

Ellie stared at the girl some more. She tilted her head, too, for effect. "You do know you're at Hogwarts, right? THINGS happen here." Not just magic, which was already sort of out of the ordinary. Kind of. To Muggles. But things that were strange even to the magical world happened. Cursed ships, baby elf menaces, flooded corridors...to name a few.

Laughing suits of armor were almost nothing. Though freaky all the same.

She shrugged. "I think most who know me would just be glad I'm not on the Pitch." Which she wasn't....anymore. Or yet.

Both.

Things happen? "What does that even mean?" Evelyn's eyes shifted back towards the armor. "Are you saying that these things actually move?" Crap. Maybe they were magically enchanted to move, laugh..ugh. Involuntarily, she took a couple of steps back from the armor.

"Pitch?" Evelyn was a little confused. She looked at Ellie expectantly, hoping for an explanation.

More staring.

Didn't she just say that? "Yes, they move." Nod their heads, shake their heads, "And make noises." Like laughing. This was all very true, and Ellie didn't understand why it was taking Evelyn so long to understand. Had she not passed by here before?

She did smirk when the girl stepped back, though. Point made?

Well. "Quidditch Pitch," Ellie said, very slowly. What other Pitch could she possibly be talking about? And it was her, if she wasn't on the Pitch, she was either in the Great Hall or her common room. Normally.

Make noises? What kind of noises? Evelyn decided against asking Ellie though. The ravenclaw looked like she was going to bite her head off any second. "I'm sorry but I don't see it happening right now." Evelyn's eyes shifted back towards the armor for a minute. No. No, they weren't moving.

Okay. "I'm not stupid, you know." Evelyn stated, feeling slightly annoyed. Jeez. Of course, she knew the girl meant Quidditch Pitch. Okay. Evelyn was exasperated. "It's impossible to have a conversation if you always give one syllable answers." o_O Evelyn didn't know why she said that but..it was true.

Ellie rolled here eyes. "Well they're not going to do anything when they know we're expecting it." Duh. They were mischievous, remember? They liked to catch people off-guard. HENCE why Ellie warned them a few minutes ago. And they listened. The power.

"Never said you were." Really, she wouldn't call someone stupid. That was just mean. And she really wasn't one to talk. It was just common sense, usually, that 'Pitch' was associated with Quidditch. At least when it came to her and Hogwarts.

Gobstones didn't have a pitch, you know.

She nodded. "Yes, but I didn't, did I?" Actually, it was Evelyn that only used one word in her question so... Not that it mattered. Nope.

"Basically, you're saying that they'll creep out when you least expect it.." Evelyn frowned and turned towards the armor again. She supposed it kind of made sense. "Well..let's just hope they don't do anything now." Even though Evelyn was a little scared, she honestly couldn't believe that they just moved about. C'mon. That was just creepy.

Evelyn gave an exasperated sigh. She didn't want to pursue thet line of conversation at all.

"So, how have you been?" General question.
