No sooner had he left into the middle than a fellow Puff tagged him. That's what I get for being brave! he thought. He began quick mental calculations.

"My Personal Month Number is an 8, and I need to get down to a four... How about the 5th?" He checked himself again, just to make sure.

8 + 5 = 13 + 1 + 3 = 4

"Yes, I choose October 5."

Alyssa slowly walked up to the middle of the free zone and waited to see who would be brave enough to tag her before she tagged them.

"Come on, come and get me. But be fast, because I may get you first. Hey Keefer, are you fast enough to catch me before I catch you?." Alyssa taunted her Quidditch Captain.

Oh no she didn't.

His competitive nature had just kicked in. She had wounded his ego and he wouldn't stand for that. He gave chase. Darting in and out of people, his eyes only saw Alyssa. He didn't care if he was tagged himself, he just wanted to get her.

He was gaining on her. Possibly because he was so much taller. But her shorter stature gave her an advantage as she could changed direction faster. Keefer's gangly limbs were awkward for that purpose. Nevertheless, he was gaining on her and slowly closing in. Envisioning a giant snitch, he reached out and tagged her. "YES! Gotcha!"

You've been converted to a four! What now, Alyssa?

Ella touched one of the tables at the side of the room gently. She began to drum her fingers, working up the courage to run out into the action. She took a deep breath and took off into the center of the classroom, dodging students right and left, eager to tag someone with her number.

"Aaargh! I was distracted. Not fair. But no worries, if I get into the team, I'm sure that I'll save all my bludgers all for you,"Alyssa winked at Keefer before making her way to the Safe zone area for 4

Okay since my Personal Month is 7, in order to get a Personal day number of 4 I have to find a day. 15th that should get me to 4.

15 +7 = 6+7 =13
1+3=4



She went and touched the safe desk and rested for awhile before she decided to venture out again to the safe zone again to see which non-4 she could tag. This time she would be faster than them.

Ella noticed a boy in the class who was focused on tagging one of the girls in the class. She ran up to him and with a smile, tagged him. "Gotcha! You're a 7 now!" She gave him a wink and ran off.

"Oakey!" Kurumi chirped. "Brilliant. I am glad that we are finally on the same team." Although, Professor Hadley hadn't exactly said that they were teams, but it was sort of implied.

"Alright, so, we are all fives and I am sure that there are others, but just hanging out here isn't accomplishing anything, so we ought to target the same sort of people together. Any of us get tagged, we should try to tag each other back so we go back to being fives." It was simple math really. Kurumi looked back out at the classroom. Now...who was looking lonely. "So, who should we try to get to join our little five family?" Alliterations, they were lovely things.

And really, that was their cue to go ahead and start chasing people. Standing around was boring. Hehe.

She sat down near Kurumi and waited for others to come.

Alyssa quickly stepped in front of Ella before she could reach her safety desk. "Tag You Back" Alyssa told her. You are now a 4"




Alyssa then stood in the middle to see who else she could tag, keeping an eye on whoever was near her.

Sophie saw there were more numbers now. Hah, that was better! She smirked and ran towards the older Hufflepuff boy that was still in the middle of the room, busy tagging Alyssa. "Tag, captain!" she smiled up at him.

Ella wasn't quick enough and felt someone tag her. She turned quickly to see an older girl tagging her. "Oh Merlin!" She laughed. She ran over to the nearest safety desk, working out the math aloud. "Okay, so my personal month number is 8...8 plus 5 would be 13...1 plus 3 would be 4! If I use October 5th, I'm a 4!" She smiled and with her new number, ran back into the action.

Right after tagging Alyssa, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Not even fair. He didn't get to relish his victory!

He sighed. Well, to get a Personal Day Number of Seven he could keep his original birthdate, so, "I pick October 27."



...and then someone else tagged him. "I'm already a seven now, but well done!"

Not that is helped Team Seven at all, but why not give her some satisfaction?

Amelia hadn't been tagged again, so she headed to a desk in the free zone and touched it. She stayed there for a little while before she ventured out into the the middle of the room. Maybe someone else would tag her, or she's just stand here on her own until she tagged someone herself.

Alyssa walked up to Amelia and stood a few feet in front of her in the free zone. "I bet that I can you before you tag me," Alyssa smiled at Amelia teasingly.

Ooh, so Alyssa was teasing her now. She eyed the Puff, full of amusement now. This was fun. "Come a little closer, and we'll see." She noticed that the girl was still in the free zone, so she couldn't get her... yet.

Ella noticed another girl talking to the Hufflepuff who had tagged her earlier. Seizing the opportunity, Ella ran up to the girl, tapping her on the shoulder. "Tagged! You're a four now!" She smiled and headed for a safe desk.

Oh, wow. Amelia hadn't seen that coming. heh. "Alright," she said to the girl with a smile now. Then she did some quick calculations in her head that would leave her with a 4 Personal Day Number when she had a Personal Month Number of 9.

9 + 31 => (0 + 9) + (3 + 1)
= (9) + (4)
= 13 => (1 + 3)
= 4

"October 31!" She said happily now.

Keefer sidled up behind his previous tagger. She was busy focusing on Alyssa, so this should be an easy conversion to Team Seven.

"And tag, YOU'RE a seven!"

Ah, payback.

Alyssa stood in the middle of the room. She was within distance of her safe desk in case someone decided to tag her, but for now she decided to wait and see whether she could tag anybody that was a Non-4.

Ah, another person who wasn't on Team Seven. No, no, no, this won't do. He carefully made his way around the circle of desks. He hadn't spent much time clinging to the safety zone, so he figured it was allowed.

Feeling suddenly reckless, he leaped out and went for Alyssa again. He was two feet from her when she turned and saw him coming. Shoot! No! He lunged to the left and fortunately she went the same direction. "Gotcha! Welcome to Team Seven!"

Sophie was still just standing in the middle of the room and saw a girl being tagged and changing numbers. She reached to her. "Tag! Some more work to you, ma'am!" she smirked.

Oh, she was tagged again already. Okay then. :33 "Okay, but what number am I supposed to work with?" She couldn't do anything until she was told.

"Well, I'm a number seven, ma'am." Sophie pointed to her "number tag" or whatever that was.

Oh, right.

Amelia needed to think of another date now, because she had already been a seven once before. She did some more calculations in her head:

9 + 25 => (0 + 9) + (2 + 5)
= (9) + (7)
= 16 => (1 + 6)
= 7

"October 25!"

Ella turned around, shocked. "Touche, I definitely didn't see that coming!" So I'm a 7 now and my personal month number is 8...Well 8+8=16 and 1+6=7. October 8th it is. Ella ran back over to safety to catch her breath and look for someone new to tag. Team 7 it is.

Alyssa was surprised when she got tagged by Keefer. Boy! For a tall guy, who moved really quietly. Alyssa smiled at him and walked over to the Team Seven desk touching it.

Okay my Personal Month Number is 7, so I pick the 9th
9+7= 16
1+6=7
