Annabelle arrived at potions. She was happy to be back in class again. She loved being in potions it was one of her favorite subjects. "Hello Professor! I hope you are having a good day." she said with smile.

Sophie walked into the room and frowned. No cauldron, ingredients or anything. Weird. "Good day, Professor Lafay." She took a seat and waited quietly for the class to begin.

The prefect entered the classroom with his bag over his shoulder. Right about now he really hoped he would have listened to the small voice in his head that told him to sleep early last night. He wondered if that was his brain or conscience telling him that, but it didn't really matter now. The boy had stayed up into the early hours of the morning reading...and reading. It was the best thing he could do considering his predicament.

Though Kennedy was sleepy he didn't show it, what did show were the small, dark crescents under his eyes. Too bad he wasn't a girl to hide them with make-up. As he looked up he noticed something different in the room. No burners...ingredients. Did professor Lafay forget to put them out? Or...was it a free day? If it was then he was going to use it as napping hour. "Good day, Professor Lafay," he said as he sat down.

Tayla opened the door carefully and entered the Potions classroom. "Hello, Professor Lafay," she said softly before choosing her usual spot. Tayla noticed that the usual cauldrons and burners weren't out. There were no ingredients either. Odd.

She waited curiously for the professor to begin.

Sierra headed into class, a distant look upon her face. Truth be told, she was missing her father. Their house was in Hogsmeade, so it wasn't that difficult for her to visit him on Hogsmeade weekends. He'd been gone a few days, though. Visiting some foreign minister, she'd heard.

Glancing up, she spotted Professor Lafay, and she felt at least a little better then. She smiled a closed-mouth grin, noting that the expression on the woman's face likely matched her own expression. "Hello," she said, knowing Lafay didn't like 'hi' or 'hey'. At least not here in the classroom.

At the sound of another tapping foot, Sierra gave Lafay a sympathetic look then turned to find a seat.

Glenn slumped into class, her bag weighing her down with her many books and her curly hair that was still damp, hung over her shoulder. She yawned. Potions was not a subject she particularly enjoyed, "Hello Professor." The badger mumbled finding a seat and sitting down. She noticed vaguely that there was not any ingredients or cauldrons or anything out.

"Hello, Professor!" Janice greeted her as she goes into the dungeons. She never liked the dungeons, but she figured that it's the only thing that can be done to keep the sulphuric smell of failing potions (or perfectly made ones, for that matter) out of the castle's interrior.

The first thing Janice noticed when she went in the class is that there aren't any burners or cauldrons. And that made her scared, because identifying potions isn't her best skill.

"You will learn to mind your manners in my presence." She said glaring at the girl. "Ten points." She said with a look that said go ahead, say something else...

"Alright class. Do not unpack, and if you have pack up now. We are going to have a joint class and we will be reassembling somewhere else." She smirked. Make'm pack again!

Belle was kind of excited. "Where were they going to go to learn the new lesson?" she thought. She packed up all her stuff ready to hear where they were going to go.

... Someone sure wasn't in a good mood right now. o_O

Amelia frowned as ten points were docked from them when Laura asked a simple question. But she knew better than to argue against it as Lafay was sure to take even more from them in that case. Instead, she started packing her stuff right back up again.

Eh what?

Vickers head shot up when the Professor mentioned having a joint class. Elsewhere. Which had the Ravenclaw wondering where else in the castle would they be able to do mix potions. The Kitchens? Unless they are not mixing potions today....

Cuirious, and slightly relieved that there doesnt look to be a quiz after all, Vickers collected his things into his bag again and readied himself for the Professor next instructions.

Daichi frowned as Lafay took ten points when Laura had asked a simple question. Honestly, it wasn't like it was wrong or anything. Just a question! But the Slytherin was wise enough to keep his mouth shut and opened up his bag to grab his textbook.

Only to find out they didn't need it today. He looked up curiously and quickly packed his textbook in his bag. A joint lesson? With who? and where? hmmm....

Didn't she mishear? Lafay said they would have a join class? With whom? If they would have a join class with herbology, Raven thought she would be escape from the class. Merlin! She didn't like herbology! But she didn't want to ask about that, otherwise Lafay seemed bad mood again.

But thank Merlin she haven't unpack her books. Raven waited for the next instruction. Lafay seemed unpredictable right now. Beware of her.

Cornelius entered the room with the crowd of other students, giving a polite nod of the head to Professor Lafay, and greeting her with, "Good morning, Professor."

The fifth year had just found his seat when he heard the Professor's announcement that they were going to be joining another class that day, reassembling elsewhere. They were? His eyebrows rose in mild surprise but he did as he was told and didn't take out any of his books or quills. Worked for him! Cornelius had no problem with not being in the Potions classroom that day. Fresh air, possibly? Or so he hoped. Sometimes the dungeons could be...well, how else could you put it? Uninviting. He wouldn't mind joining another class for a day.

Ella frowned. Laura had just started feeling good about classes and such and now...more lost points? This wasn't good. Plus they were going somewhere else? Ella wondered what they would be up to in the lesson and her curiosity quickly overwhelmed the uneasiness of lost house points.

A joint lesson? What other subject could they possible mix with Potions. Transfiguration...that could work, changing body parts or something. Flying...oh merlin he could see them trying to make potions whilst balancing their cauldrons on their brooms--a disaster for sure.

Well Auggie went ahead and packed his parchment and quill back into his bag and looked at Professor Lafay, waiting for her to tell them where to go. This lesson already peaked his interest.

Alyssa sighed when she heard that Laura had been docked another 10 more house points but didn't show any other reaction. She was surprised when she heard that they were going to have a joint lesson. She was definitely glad that she hadn't unpacked her bag. So she just sat in her chair and waited for the Professor to provide them with further instructions.

A joint lesson? Now, what subject would they be merging with? These Professors sure like to work together. Noticing the eager faces of her classmates all around the classroom, Beezus took out the small piece of Muggle paper from the pocket of her backpack, stared at it for a few seconds and returned it back.

Then she breathed heavily. That was right, she was going to put aside the matter at hand and focus on the lesson. No need to really spread the depression.

Merlin was Kurumi glad she wasn't a Hufflepuff prefect.

A...joint lesson? Kurumi cocked her head to the side and tried to figure out what sort of joint lesson they could possibly be having...and with Potions. Her first thoughts were Herbology for the obvious reasons. Plants and their components were a large part of the brewing process. Care of Magical Creatures also came to mind for similar reasons...but she wasn't too sure about that one either. And then...her mind...for some unknown reason, wandered on to Divination. Was there some sort of connection that could be made between the two?

Bringing her head forward again, Kurumi closed her leather messenger bag up and put her head through the strap. So...where were they going?

Professor had already begun taking points! And the class hadn't even started! Oh well, Ira would have to take care to do everything right.

And did she hear correctly? Joint lesson? With whom? Ira wondered what Potions could be paired with? Whatever!

Ira hadn't yet unpacked her bags, so she just grabbed the strap and waited for Professor to lead the way away from these dark dungeons..

Another joint lesson!?!? Well...this was unexpected. Good thing he didn't get the chance to unpack his things. So he just waited, and looked around. He might as well check to see if he had all of his stuff. Quill check, and ink check. Paper check, and vials check. Finally wand. Wand oh no he couldn't find it. He searched around his pack, and then after serius searching he finally found it.

"Good, now that you are all packed up," she said and smirked. "Up to the Divination tower we go." She opened the door and allowed the students out. "Single file. No shoving..." or she'd shove back.

Divination!! Potions with Divination? Ira was sure that this joint lesson wasn't about to be her favorite! She hated Divination!

Anyways, she grabbed her strap of her bag and got up. The making a single file as instructed, Ira proceeded to the Divination Tower.

Gideon had been glad that he had only just decided he better move to take things out of his bag when Lafay had spoke to get their attention. That way he didn't have to pack anything back up. Joint lesson...moving. To say he was curious was an understatement especially seeing as potions wasn't often if at all combined unless it was with Herbology or Astronomy and both had had their recent classes already.

Divination?!

The Gryffindor was taken back but he didn't say anything. Professor Lafay had already taken points for this lesson and it hadn't even properly started. Gideon simply obeyed, slinging his sachel back over his arm and following the line of students back out of the room.
