Lily had been able to slip into the classroom without greeting the professor. She had arrived right before the class started and was still exhausted so she didn't bother to greet the professor. Sorry Professor Lafay... no hard feelings. Lily sat quietly as the professor started the class, mentioning about her marriage to the minister. As the professor pulled out a chocolate bar, Lily's eyebrows went up. What are we doing with a chocolate bar in potions?... And why does she have to torture us by eating it in front of us? Lily thought as she tried to think of an answer to the question. She raised her hand to attempt to answer. "Could it make your skin more oily?" Lily figured... Skin is typically oily. Chocolate has oil in it right. Therefore, you add the two and you get more oil, right?

Aurora looked at the chocolate, suddenly very hungry. Well, maybe not hungry, but definitely in need of chocolate. "Professor, chocolate can make your skin break out into spots." she said - not that she'd ever had a problem with that.

Lea could not help the cold and sarcastic chuckle escape her; why on earth would she care about to whom this Potions professor was marrying to? Or why on earth would she care if she was marrying or not? The only thing looked interesting to him was the fact that OBVIOUSLY this woman was too old to be marrying anyone because it was TOO FUNNY.

Was this woman really the one he was talking about when the brother told Lea to respect all the time? Seriously?

Pffft...

Covering her mouth with her Gryffindor scarf, the dark haired girl tried to hide her grin. But it was most likely that it did not work so in order to avoid any laughter bursting out her, she decided to talk and answer the fresh bride's question. ''If you apply liquid cocoa butter on your skin, it helps you get tanned faster. My mum uses it.''

Lafay was married... to the Minister of Magic... who was Sierra's father. Selina tried her hardest to suppress a snicker at the thought of Mommy Lafay to Sierra. It was all around a funny thought because, well, Sierra and Lafay were family now. She couldn't have been the only one who just found that utterly hysterical, but the redhead did not make a sound about it. The last thing she needed was detention for chuckling at the Mrs. Minister of Magic.

When she asked about how the chocolate, which was now making Selina drool, made the students skin, Selina rose her hand, "Chocolate typically makes teenagers skin, which is already going through hormonal changes, red and irritated and also raises the risk for pimples." Although, Selina did not tend to have that problem... otherwise her binge eating on junk food would make her skin unbearable.

Chocolate? Professor Lafay was going to eat a chocolate bar. It looked yummy. Indy liked chocolate, she would need to go and get some later. After the lesson of course. Now she needed to think about the question. What did chocolate to your skin? Indy didn't really know. She'd thought chocolate was good, as long as you didn't eat too much after all. But maybe there were some bad bits about the tasty treat too. "I think....it can make people get spots." Although she didn't really understand that too much. She ate chocolate, and didn't have too many spots. But maybe that was just her age...

Oooh. Amelia loved chocolate, and talking about it made her really hungry. She raised her hand now. "They have said that chocolate causes teenagers to get acne. But I've also heard that's a myth." Sooo... yeah. She was just putting that out there, because she had no idea why else it would be an issue for younger people.

"Professor, my older cousin eats chocolate and it makes him break out." Ella said seriously. She wasn't sure why it did that to him but she was curious to see what the Professor had to say about it.

Minerva put her hand up "Professor eating Chocolate can make your skin oily, which will clog your pores, and umm" what was it her mom told her would happen oh that's right "It would cause zits on your face."

So it was true! Professor Lafay was engaged to the Minister! Daichi had always thought people were joking when he had heard it but..apparently they weren't.

He sat at the front row seat because of his slightly bad eye sight and held his elbows on the desk to support his chin with his hands. As the lesson began, Daichi looked curiously as the Professor took something out of her drawer and his arms slipped from under his chin and hit the desk.

CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!

There were two things Daichi simply LOVED. 1.Ducks and 2.Chocolate, especially that chocolate cake Kurumi had made for him once. He eyed the bar of chocolate hungerly as she took a bite from it.

OH NO SHE DI'IDN'T! why couldn't he have a a chocolate bar?! and what was up with chocolate making you fat ? huh? Daichi pushed his shirt up a little bit to see his tummy. Not fat at all! hmpf!

Oh wait, did she just say it would NOT gain you weight? oops.

Listening to the other student's answers , he heard a few of them saying it was bad for you skin because you could get acne from it. Well, as far as he knew , he didn't have acne....yet...

"Professor?! " he asked as he held his arm in the air, trying to hold back his greed but obviously failed as he looked at the chocolate. "I can test if teenagers get acne from chocolate right now!" he said, his eyes twinkling. "So.. .can i have a bar?" should he add a please? "Plleeeeeeeaaaase~?" yup he had added it, along with the puppy look eyes hehe.

A simple wedding band?! It had looked pretty fancy to Sierra, but what did she really know about jewelry? Then again, anything placed next to that engagement ring would pale in comparison. The green ring was humongous! She peered at the ring from her seat then quickly changed her gaze to the chocolate bar. Sure, chocolate tasted great, but Sierra had never been too big of a sweet eater.

"Chocolate actually does good things for your skin," she said, "like moisturizing it, smoothing it, and protecting it from UV rays." The way her mo--... *ahem* The way Professor Lafay had worded it, though, it seemed like there was something harmful about it, too. Sierra didn't really know anything about that, though.

As she lowered her hand, she overheard a Puffer ask a question. "Husband," she said, rolling her eyes. Boyfriend? Honestly? Didn't her mother just announce that she'd gotten married?

What?! Were the stories true!? Chocolate gives you… "Chocolate causes acne?" Sky said with a slight questioning tone. Oh no! She hoped she was wrong. What would see do without chocolate?! 'Cause she wasn't letting her self get acne…

So she had been married? And it had just become noticable that he was starring at the woman's hand because she gave the Gryffindor a look that was pretty severe seeing as August hadn't done anything wrong--seriously this woman gave him the creeps.

Oooh they were going to discuss chocolate? Auggie could care less if it was supposed to give you pimples or not, he hadn't really broken out much before and his father never mentioned having a problem with it when he was his age so no reason to live life in fear. "Professor, chocolate is rumored to give teenagers and young adults acne but another factor that many tend to forget is that hereditiy plays a big part in the stuff too."

Kurumi cocked her head to the side. Chocolate? Bad for you? That...wasn't exactly true. Dark chocolate, for example, has less fat that other forms of chocolare, and also has antioxidants that can help reduce blood pressure and confer other health benefits. In fact...no specific food had ever been directly linked to causing breakouts...it was just something that naturally happened. So, Kurumi wasn't sure about all these pimple answers people were giving. Slowly, Kurumi raised her hand. "Nothing really," she said calmly. "Chocolate, when eaten in large quantities can cause you to gain weight...which would stretch your skin, however. I've read that foods like white bread and pasta are more likely to cause break outs." This also linked to life style and overall diet too. Kurumi worked with chocolate enough and had done enough research on various baking ingredients to have read a thing or two.

Zhenya's eyes widened. She was announcing her personal life in class? Zhenya was impressed! She raised her hand and said, "Congratulations Professor! As for chocolate, the sugar might cause pimples, but if it were a sugar-free chocolate you could always melt it and apply it to your face, like a face mask," she said.

Hmmm... So she was officially married now? Raven just hoped that everything would be okay to the Minister, since she had read the background of Professor Lafay including her lofe life. Eh?

Well... Back to the lesson. Chocolate? Well, Raven loved chocolate but not too much, since she was easily get toothache if she ate too much. But in skin? She raised her hand and tried to answer

"I don't know whether it is right or wrong, but People said too much chocolate will cause pimples." she said. But I don't believe that..

Alyssa raised her hand. She knew this from experience. "Professor, if you eat too much of it, you break out in pimples. I know that eating chocolates warms the body, so maybe when it warms it too much, the sugar in the chocolate changes our body's chemistry and which then increases the possibility of bacteria growing, which can cause pimples."

Laura stared at Sierra, seriously stared at her, had she just had the nerve to correct her sentance. "If I want my sentance changing I'll do it myself." Laura said coldly, she gave Sierra another hard look and then turned back towards the Professor.

Right. So she was still Professor Lafay. Good to know. Now wait, what was that she was holding up? Ch-Ch-CHOCOLATE?! Tastes great? Elise shook her head, her eyes just slightly widened.

Even with the potion, Elise was a little panicky around chocolate. Elise raised her hand. "Under normal circumstances, professor, it makes me break out in uncontrollable rashes."

Oh, she was talking about everyone else. "But I read that it protects the skin from UV rays," she added before lowering her hand. It was chocolate. Chocolate was EEEBIL!

As soon as Sierra had corrected the Puffer, she regretted it. Why? Not because of the Puffer. She could care less about the girl and whether she was happy, sad, offended, or annoyed. Sierra didn't think much about the feelings of others. Not unless they actually meant something to her.

It was because of her mother, who she knew wouldn't tolerate Sierra being rude to anyone in her class. Or anyone at all, for that matter. She peered up at Lafay, hoping the woman hadn't heard what she'd said. She bit her bottom lip as she looked forward and ignored the Puffer. The girl so wasn't worth getting in trouble over.

I didn't correct you because I thought you wanted to be corrected. I corrected you because I felt like it, Puffer Girl. That's what she wanted to say, at least. She didn't dare cause any trouble in front of her mother, though.

Taylor raised her hand, "Professor, doesn't it cause you to break out and get all oily and stuff?" She didn't particular care fo chocolate at all.

Janice had the urge to not say 'no' when professor told them that chocolate tastes nice. She had never liked chocolate since the age of 4, since she threw up on drinking chocolate milk. And she had no idea why chocolate is bad for our skin. But an answer is worth a guess.

"It, uh, makes the skin look artificially good?" she said after raising her hand. "So it's a good thing and yet a bad thing?"

"The only one good for you chocolate, Miss Lecium, is Dark Chocolate. But you are right. Dark chocolate does indeed improve your blood pressure, but it does not keep your skin healthy..." maybe she was one of the weird ones... "not for everyone anyway."

She turned to the girl and glared. "Did you not pay attention?" Did she not JUST say she was married? "Miss Hyde, I suggest you begin paying attention and ANSWER my questions instead of trying to distract the class."

"Yes, it does make it oily." She said with a nod.

... Did this child not know the difference between chocolate and cocoa butter??? Who was this kid? She looked in her roster... "Miss... Carter..." Oh Merlin... another one... "Cocoa butter is a vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean... not chocolate."

"No, Miss Greingoth. You are thinking of Cocoa Butter as well..."

... *headdesk*

"Ten points from Hufflepuff." She said glaring at the girl. "Understand you are in a classroom. Act like it, or my next step will be a lot harsher."

"..." Where did she get THAT from? "...Not... no..."



"Very Good. Chocolate, especially Milk Chocolate, causes your delicate young skin to break out in awful pimples." She said and then the boy spoke...

*blink*

She sort of froze looking at him.

Ok...

She went to her desk in silence and removed some white chocolate bars, placing them into a basket she charms to circle the room. "Knock yourself out... and share."

She took a breath and continued. "If you haven't guessed yet, we're going to be brewing a pimple curing potion. Can anymore think of what ingredients would be in the potion?"

Taylor raised her hand, "Is there any bubotuber pus in the potion, Professor?" She remembered that it had pimple curing properties... so it would make sense that it would be in the potion... right?? Or it could be a potion with a different one..... Tay shook her head slightly and tuned her ears to the other students' answers and to the professor's reply.

Accept chocolate...from Dragon Lady? Kurumi didn't care that the woman was recently married and had a somewhat more pleasant disposition. Doing so seemed like sticking your head in the dragon's lair and expecting to come out smelling like daisies.

So, no thank you on the chocolate.

When asked what sort of ingredients were used, Kurumi sort of cringed and since bubotuber pus had already been mentioned - although she did not wish to consume any of that - her mind went elsewhere. She knew what her mother was always saying at the dinner table when it came to a certain food. Slowly, Kurumi raised her hand. "Sea food? More specifically...pieces of salmon, mackerel, tuna, or harding? They are rich in selenium and zinc which help fight acne or perhaps green tea? It is also good for your skin and strengthens its epithelium."

And her mother would be proud that she remembered that.

Zhenya had a feeling they would be eating a bar of chocolate with extra pimple factors in it so that they could properly test the potion. But what could be in it?

She raised her hand and said, "Erm... could there be some vegetables in it? Because chocolate is one of the foods we are told to eat rarely, but vegetables are an always food. And they help clean our body out, by detoxing," she said.
