Taking his bit of salt, Jory added it to the potion. Then he cast the spell while moving his wand the the opposite direction of the first time the spell had been cast. "Enodis!" he said clearly. Taking a bit of the potion, Jory poured it into his mouth and swallowed. Not long afterwards, he could feel the blemish shrinking. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Lafay While Alyssa was waiting for the potion to work on her zits, she listened and watched as the Professor demonstrated what the salt was for. She gaped in awe as the Professor finished the potion and drank it. The boil on the Professor's face was quickly shrinking to nothing. Once they were told to work on their potion, Alyssa added the pinch of salt into the potion mixture. She then picked up her wand and skimmed it over her cauldron, only this time waving it in the opposite direction than she had done earlier and said,"ENODIS." She then took her ladle and scooped up some potion. Closing her eyes and holding her nose, she put the ladle to her mouth and drank down the potion. Once she had swallowed the potion, she opened her eyes and looked down her nose at the large boil growing on it. As she watched, the boil began to shrink to nothing. She felt the other boils on her face and they too were disappearing. As she waited for the potion to work on them, she picked up her quill and added the steps into her potions journal. Text Cut: Alyssa's Potion's Journal Text Cut: Steps to make potion She then put down her quill, sat back and waited for further instructions. |
Having Internet and laptop trouble .. *sob* SPOILER!!: Professor Lafay Tayla looked for her clove of garlic and when she found it, chopped it and rushed it flat with the blade. Then she added it to the cauldron, also removing excess from her knife, like the professor did. Setting the knife aside, Tayla took the grater, and grated the lemon until it equaled two cups that she needed. She added the lemon zest to the cauldron as well. She took out her wand and watched her potion simmer for fifteen minutes. SPOILER!!: Professor Lafay "Ooh!" Tayla listened excitedly. She loved it when they got to use spells outside of Charms or Transfiguration. "Enodis," Tayla said three times before starting to use it. Content she would get it right, she followed what Professor Lafay did and said "Enodis." As soon as she had chocolate, she ate a piece and could feel a pimple form on her cheek. She dipped a metal spoon into her potion then covered her pimple with it. "I hope this works..." she thought anxiously. SPOILER!!: Professor Lafay Tayla added salt to the mixture as instructed and, saying "Enodis," moved her wand the opposite direction as Professor Lafay demonstrated. Then she took a ladle and, after a moment's hesitation, gulped it down. "Not great," she thought as she swallowed. "But not as bad as I feared." As she put back her ladle on the table, she could feel her pimple shrink until it was gone. SPOILER!!: Tayla's Potions Notebook |

Raven put the salt to her cauldron. Then she took her wand again, skimmed the top of the cauldron but in opposite direction than the previous. "Enodis!" she said. And... try the potion? :whaa: Raven never like this step, Why this term Lafay asked the students to try the potion? What if.. But, she NEED to try that. Thank Merlin she always follow the steps carefully. She took a ladle of potion and drink it. The taste is awful. she thought. But her blemish at her nose was vanished. Good. |
Kurumi reached for her salt and added it to her cauldron, meaning that she had doubled her required amount of salt and put it in before she should have. Of course, she was blissfully unaware of this face or...as blissfully unaware as she could be considering she was mildly panicking over the boils that were continuing to pop up all over her forehead. Repeating the spell as was instructed, Kurumi ladeled a bit of the potion into her mouth and waited for them to go away, but that didn't happen. Instead, her skin tightened more and the boils turned to a horrid orangish color and nearly doubled in size. o___________________O Kurumi pressed her bangs down on her forehead in attempt to hide them...but the color only stood out against the black color of her hair. SPOILER!!: Kurumi's parchment |

Turning his attention towards the front of the class with difficulty, he grabbed the salt and sprinkled it in the cauldron. He pointed his wand that was still in his hand and casted the Enodis spell. He then took the ladle and sipped carefully from the potion. Touching his skin, he felt that the boils got smaller. Gulping down the rest of the potion in the ladle he smirked to himself when he found out it had been a success. Seeee he was good at something~! Looking around to find a piece of chocolate his eyes landed on Kurumi who was strangely holding her hair in front of her. He leaned back in his seat and now saw the orange colour on her skin. He wanted to give her a bit of his potion but he knew Lafay would snap at him again. That or he would loose points for standing up. So he turned back and waited for the next instructions. |
SPOILER!!: No more pimples! "Very good class." She said to the students seeing their blemishes vanish. "Homew-" But she was interrupted. Quote:

Hecate glared at the girl. "Hands on the table, Hollingberry." Her tone was menacing. She didn't like failure, and was disinclined to tolerate it. |
Ella did as she was told, adding the salt to the mixture and moving her wand in the oppostie direction. "Enodis!" She said, then placed her wand on the table. Scooping up a ladle full of potion, Ella sipped it. Her hand went to the blemish on her nose and she felt it shrinking. "Woah." Was all she could say. After what seemed like only a few seconds, no blemish remained. |

"Yes, professor," she said as she slowly lowered her hands and set them palms down on the table. |

Daichi felt that his cheeks began to blaze fire as the glare was send in his direction and he began to bite his lip. "I-i'm sorry Professor, It's just... i heard my name and....i thought...sorry" he mumbled and stared at his lap. His fingers were suddenly very interesting. And it seemed that he wasn't the only one getting the glare from Lafay because when he heard the name Hollingberry he immediately looked up and turned to look at Kurumi, giving her a small smile. |
A little slow to react, Elise stumbled a little, adding the salt and pulling her wand back out. "Enodis," she muttered, moving the wand in a skimming motion the other way around. Now... Where was her ladle. There it was... Next to the metal spoons. Scooping some of the potion out, she took a sip. She felt the pimple swelling a little. Gulping the whole thing down, she shuddered before touching a hand to her forehead. IT WAS GONE! |
tried to wait out the issues. And yet... Text Cut: the professor Stella was starting to feel sorry for Daichi, even if it seemed he was only in trouble for trying to horde the chocolate. In her opinion, she wasn't going to be taking any chocolate from Professor Lafay anyhow, and she figured he might not either. It wasn't going to put her off chocolate entirely, though, and at least they were getting rid of the magically induced pimples now. She watched as the professor gave the final steps, then replicated them. She dropped a pinch of salt into her potion, not really thinking that would make it taste any better since of course now they were going to have to drink the mixture that she still thought was kind of disgusting. Picking her wand back up, though, she skimmed it over her cauldron again in the opposite direction of the previous time. "Enodis." Now came the hard part, and she slowly picked up her ladle. Scourgifying it, she dipped it into the potion, half-contemplating using her other hand to pinch her nose closed but knowing the placement of the blemish on her face would prevent that from being entirely comfortable. She was just going to have to suffer through it. Unless she was wrong and it didn't taste as disgusting as she'd thought. Bringing the ladle to her lips, she took a tiny sip. Nope. Still disgusting, she thought, but she took a larger sip anyhow. At least she could feel the bump by her nose vanishing, and it seemed they were about to be dismissed. Preparing a vial or two, just in case, she got ready to vanish her potion and clean up as she waited to hear the homework assignment. Until the professor interrupted herself, and Stella's attention flickered over to Kurumi only to give her a sympathetic look as the prefect looked a bit panicked before obeying Professor Lafay calmly. She didn't think she could manage to do that. Act calm. SPOILER!!: Stella's potions journal |

Text Cut: Droo Sierra hesitantly raised a hand to her face, feeling around for any sign of blemishes. Hmm. So it did work. Of course it did. She'd never doubted that part. Lafay had taught her how to brew the mixture after all. Hearing the word 'Homework', or actually 'Homew', Sierra started to gather all her materials and start the process of cleaning up then heading out. However, it seemed like there was a little something starting up between Lafay and Hollingberry, and Sierra just couldn't bare to miss whatever it was. Text Cut: sweetpinkpixie Yup. This she just had to see. Sierra sat back, hands crossed over her chest, and just watched. Of course there was a pleased grin plastered all across her face, too. |
SPOILER!!: good job Quote:

She moved to the desk and opened a drawer, removing a bottle of dittany. Those blemishes were going to scar her face if she didn't hurry. "Homework is due in a week. I want you to write me 3 inches of parchment (paragraphs) of an essay on when this potion would be most useful. Now go. Class dismissed." She said quickly. Quote:
Returning her attention to Hollingberry, she applied the dittany with a cotton ball and waited to see if the red would turn back to orange and then back to it's original skin color. "You realize your potion is now rubbish. I can't do anything with it. You've used my ingredients and wasted them, either because you didn't pay attention to me or to what you were doing. There are first years who succeeded in this class, and you, a fifth year, and a prefect at that, failed miserably." She dabbed the girl's blemishes again. "How do you expect to pass your O.W.L.s?" She reprimanded. "I'm taking five points. You are lucky that all this did was this. You could have exploded your cauldron. Hurt yourself and the people around you." Truly Hecate was angry at herself. Kurumi had always seemed like the perfect student. Her answers were almost always correct, her potions always top notch. She was made prefect as a fourth year, for Merlin sakes, and she couldn't brew a simple pimple potion?! She should have been watching her better, but she assumed too much, and trusted that the girl would succeed. Then again... she wasn't a Ravenclaw... She handed the girl the dittany and said. "You are going to have to wait until that has gone away on it's own. You can't take more potion to fix it. It has to run it's course now. Continue applying the dittany until it's the colour of your skin. I want to see you in my office after class." She said moving to her own desk now. "You're dismissed. Get out." |
Laura looked around and saw Lafay shouting at Kurumi, no one should shout at Kurumi, it wasn't done, if it wasn't for the fact Laura was trying to be good, she would have said something to Professor Lafay and ignored the punishment that was set, but well she was trying to be good and so she cleaned up and wrote down what the homework was and then left but not before speaking to Professor Lafay. "Thank Heca..I mean Professor Lafay for a wonderful lesson." and with that she walked out of the classroom. |
hahahaha XD Quote:
Even if it was something as grim as what she faced. Quote:
At least she had that... Tears were slowly streaming down her face as she turned her gaze down towards the table, at a complete loss of words. She only nodded to show that she was registering what was being said to her. When she was told to head to the Potions Mistress' office once she had packed up, she nodded again and began to clean up her station. Once she was done doing so, she picked up her bag and headed out of the classroom, turning the corner to head right to Professor Lafay's office. |
Alyssa quickly wrote down her homework assignment. She then scooped up some of the potion, using her ladle, into 3 extra vials she had on her and then took out her wand and cleaned her cauldron, and all the equipment she had used using the "Scourgify" spell. She then packed everything into her backpack and quickly made her way out of the Potions classroom saying a quick "Goodbye Professor. Thank you for the lesson." before making a hasty retreat out the door. |

Amelia couldn't help but stare at the incident Kurumi's potion had caused. She winced a little, looking at the girl's face. That had to be an unpleasant experience. And kind of surprising, seeing as Kurumi was like the top student in the school. Shaking her head, she recorded the homework before cleaning up and packing away all her equipment. She returned everything from the stores back to its place. "Thank you for the nice lesson, Professor!" she said before leaving the room. |
Ella quickly copied down the homework assignment and then set to work, cleaning all the things she had used. When all the equipment was placed back and she had packed her things, she headed for the door. "Bye Professor." She said on her way out. |
Once all the students were out, she left the room, locking the door behind her. |
