Hecate was sitting on her chair. Admiring the new wedding ring on her finger. It was by far the nicest she had. None would compare.
She opened the classroom waiting patiently.
ooc: This class will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Antarctica! for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me at the WWoHP, and to Ameh for makin it into a pretty graphic!

"Alright. Chop up the whole clove of garlic, and then crush it with the flat of the blade. Then you will want to add it to the cauldron." She did just as she said, using her finger to remove any access from her knife.
"Use the same grater for the lemon zest that you did for the cinnamon. You won't need to clean it. Grate two cups of it and add it to the cauldron. Then let it simmer for fifteen minutes. Then ready your wands." She said and took hers from her sleeve.
Janice smiled. She had said earlier that garlic cures pimples, and now, her ingredient is used in this potion.
Expertly, Janice chopped the clove of garlic. She had gotten used to the tears since a very young age; her mum had taught her the very skill when she was 4. After the garlic has been all cut and sliced and chopped into small, tiny pieces, she slid them off her chopping board into the cauldron. Copying Professor, she used her finger to clean the remains of garlic from her knive and plunged them inside the cauldron.
Then, she used the same grater to grate the lemon zest. She added 2 cups of grated lemon zest into her cauldron. WHile waiting to simmer for 15 minutes, she wrote the steps in her notes and put her wand in position.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

HAH! It seemed that the Professor had either forgotten about him or she was just nice now. Now that he thought about it , both Scabior and Lafay were being ..nicer than normal. What was up with that? Daichi carefully placed HIS basket of chocolate under his desk , no way he was going to share. And as he got back up he was putting on his on dragon hide gloves.
Picking up his metal spoon , he used Scourgify to clean it and put the drops of Bubertuper pus in the cauldron while counting. 1...2...3...4...5. He than began to stir it counter clockwise six times and waited for the next instructions.

Daichi's eyes never left the Professor as she began to walk around. In his mind, he was praying she wouldn't see HIS chocolate under the table and when she passed he let out a relieved breath. Why it was important to use metal was a mystery to him but he didn't pay attention to it and just grabbed the toothpaste. He placed it on the desk and pointed his wand at the tablespoon "Scourgify" he said and watched as the spoon got cleaner. Now he added the toothpaste on the metal and stirred gently in the cauldron under it dropped off.
Daichi grabbed another clean spoon and also the honey and measured it. He listened as Lafay told them to drip it slowly in the cauldron and the Slytherin stuck his tongue out in concentration as the liquid dripped in the cauldron.

Ah , so metal was a heat conductor...he knew that! Oh cool time for the mortar and pestle part! Daichi always liked this because he could crush things in to a powder that way~ No, he did not concider himself weird. He added four snake fangs and crushed them in the mortar. Sprinkling it in the cauldron he took a stick of cinnamon and looked at the Professor on what to do with it.
But...was...she...smiling? O_______o
Honestly what was wrong with the mean labeled Professors this term?!

Trying to ignore the fact that both of the concidered *evil* Professors where being *nice* he chopped the clove of garlic and began to crush it with the flat of his blade. Adding it in to the cauldron as instructed. He then grabbed the grater he used with the cinnamon and pointed his wand at it when Lafay instructed that i didn't need to be clean. So now he just began to grate the lemon until he had two cups full and added it in to the cauldron.
And now waiting. Bleh, waiting was always the least fun part. Daichi sighed as he sat back down in his chair and bend down to grab another piece of chocolate. He would get his wand later.

Ella grabbed her clove of garlic and placed it in front of her. She then grabbed the knife, cleaning it before she began chopping the entire clove. She then crushed the pieces with the flat of the blade as was instructed. She added all the garlic to the cauldron, carefully swiping her knife with her finger. She let out a sigh of relief when she didn't cut herself. The garlic smelled great and reminded her of pasta dinners at home. Yum!
Next she picked up her grater and grated the lemon. She measured out two cups with a clean measuring cup and added it to her potion. Then she looked down at her watch. She noted the time and while she waited she got her wand ready and added to her notes. When fifteen minutes were up, she readied her wand, wondering what was going to happen.

Belle took out her mortar and pestle and began to crush the four snake fangs into a fine powder as the doctor was demonstrating. After she was done, she sprinkled it into the cauldron. Then she went to find the cinnamon stick which was on the right side. It almost slipped out of her hands but she caught it! She took the grater and grated into the potion. She took a sniff and she smiled! It smelt really good.

Belle did the grating first because it seemed the easiest. She cleaned her grater with "Scourgify!" to get rid of the cinnamon. Then she grated the lemon zest into the two cups near her cauldron. She didn't add it yet. Then she cut up the clove of garlic. She peeled off the skin and crushed the tiny pieces flat with the blade.
"Professor did i cut my cloves of garlic right? I have a feeling i didn't." Belle asked. She wanted to be sure so she wouldn't mess it up. She didn't add the lemon zest in yet which was a smart move.

Stella glanced up as Professor Lafay spoke again, simply giving them the next steps for the potion. It was oddly both keeping her relaxed and on edge, considering it kept making her wonder when someone was going to make the professor snap. Professor Lafay happy wasn't exactly something she was used to. Even so, she quietly got her knife out and Scourgified it before retrieving a clove of garlic. Chopping it the way the professor had demonstrated, she shifted her grip on her knife so it was sideways. Then, she applied herself to crushing the chopped garlic with the side of the blade, also focusing on not inadvertently cutting herself before she scooped it all up and carefully dropped it in her potion. Cleaning the blade off like had been shown as well, befoer she Scourgified it out of habit.
Moving on to the lemons like instructed, she also moved a measuring cup or two nearer to herself. At least they didn't have to guess when they'd grated two cups of zest, which made her feel the tinest bit more comfortable again. Folowing directions was definitely easier when she could make sure everything was perfectly measured. Picking up her grater and a lemon, she wondered why it wasn't important that they Scourgify the grater between the cinnamon and the lemon zest, but she still just started to grate. Checking the measuring cup once she'd finished with that lemon, she picked up another and kept grating until she saw she'd gotten two cups. Adding it to her cauldron, she set the measuring cup down again before updating her journal, laying her wand next to the parchment so she knew it was ready.

Craterotomy Potion
uses: to treat/cure pimples
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure
Fill Scourgified cauldron with water, then set over a high, intense flame, making sure flame is still controlled.
Wearing dragonhide gloves, scoop up five drops of bubotuber pus with a metal spoon, then add to cauldron.
Stir potion six times counter-clockwise
Squeeze a generous tablespoon of toothpaste onto a clean metal spoon, then stir into potion until toothpaste dissolves.
Making sure your metal spoon is clean again, measure a tablespoon of honey and drip into potion from 6-8 inches above cauldron. Repeat until all three tablespoons are added.
Using a mortar and pestle, crush the four snake fangs into a fine powder, then sprinkle into potion.
Grate cinnamon stick into potion.
Chop a whole garlic clove, then crush with the flat of the blade before adding to potion
Grate lemon zest, measuring out two cups, and then add to cauldron.
Simmer for fifteen minutes.

5. Scoop out 5 drops.
6. Add drops into cauldron.
7. Stir mixture counter clockwise 6 times.
8. Take two metal spoons.
9. Clean them.
10. Squeeze toothpaste into one spoon. Make sure it's one tablespoon worth.
11. Add toothpaste into mixture.
12. Stir until all the toothpaste is removed from spoon.
13. Now take other metal spoon.
14. Pour honey into metal spoon. Measure out one tablespoon.
15. Let honey drip slowly into mixture.
16. Make sure spoon is at least 6 to 8 inches above cauldron.
17. Do not let anything splash!!
18. Repeat steps two more times, until you have three tablespoons of honey in mixture
19. Clean mortar, pestle and grater.
20. Add 4 snake fangs into mortar and crush with pestle until fine powder.
21. Sprinkle powder into potion.
22. Take 1 cinnamon stick and grate it using grater into potion.
23. Take out measuring cup and knife and clean them.
24. Take one whole clove of garlic and smash it with the flat side of the knife blade
25. Add garlic into potion. Make sure that any remaining garlic still on knife is cleaned off and added to the potion.
26. Take grater and lemon zest. Grate to fill 2 cups. Add contents of measuring cup to potion.
27. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
Then she put down her quill and unholstered her wand and waited for the Professor to speak again.

- Scourrgified cauldron
- Fill it up with water using Aguamenti
- Heat cauldron with intense, high fire via Incedio
- Wear dragon hide gloves
- Add 5 drops of bubotuber pus with metal spoon, then stir counterclockwise 6 times
- Scourgify metal spoon, then add 1 tbsp toothpaste, stirring until it comes off
- Scourgify another metal spoon, add 3 tbsp honey, hold spoon 6-8 inches from pot to allow honey to drip slowly into the mixture
- Scourgify mortar and pestle then crush 4 snake fangs into fine powder.
- Sprinkle snake fang powder into mixture
- Scourgify grater, grate about 1 tbsp worth of cinnamon into potion
- Scourgify knife, chop 1 clove garlic and crush with the flat of the blade.
- Added garlic to cauldron
- Scourgify measuring cup, quickly grate 2 cups worth lemon zest and add into pot.
- Let mixture simmer for 15 minutes
- Ready your wand

Simmer Potion for 15 Minutes
Zhenya made sure to listen carefully to the next steps. After adding the Bubertuber pus, she used a metal spoon and stirred it six times counter-clockwise. Okay, she counted individually until it was stirred all six times!
She then heard the next one, and reached out to get the toothpaste. She wanted to brush her teeth because it smelled so minty. She put a generous amount of the toothpaste onto a metal spoon and put it in the cauldron, stirring it around 30 times until the toothpaste all came off the spoon. Next was honey, messy yummy honey!
She listened to Professor Lafay as she instructed them not to rush, and to add the honey onto the spoon and let it drip into the cauldron. She held it about six inches from the cauldron. It didn't take too long to drop off the spoon, and she did it another two times. That made 3!
Zhenya pulled out her mortar and pestle and cleaned it with the "Scourgify" spell. She measured the 4 snake fangs into the cauldron and crushed them up briskly until they formed a fine powder. Then she sprinkled it over her cauldron. Once she had done that she said "Scourgify" to clean her mortar and pestle again, and got her cinnamon stick and her grater. She grated it over the cauldron, and took a nice big smell of it.
She stayed listening to Professor Lafay for the next instruction. Right, garlic. Oh, one of her favourite smells! It always reminded her of her grandparents home in Russia. She got a whole clove and got her knife and cut it up roughly. Then she got the blade of her knife and crushed the garlic, until it was a nice paste, almost. She scooped it off her board and put it into the cauldron, and scraped the excess off.
Next was the Lemon Zest. Mmm, she thought about lemon tarts! Oh, it's potions, not cooking, she told herself. She was glad she forgot to clean the grater, because she didn't need to. She held it over a measuring phial and crated 2 cups worth of Lemon Zest, then added it to her potion.
Whilst she waited for 15 minutes whilst it simmered, she cleaned her equipment, re-organised the ingredients she had been using and cleaned her bench.

She observed her cauldron nervously. Since Jonathan had left, her Potion brewing skills had sort of gone down the drain...which was bad considering OWLs were coming up. He had been such a constant supporter and tutor to her...now she was turning into Selina.
She might need to find herself a temporary tutor.
As the clock ticked down, Kurumi waved her wand over the mess of a station, casting Scourgify over the area, and then waited for whatever it was that was coming next.

Light burner and make sure there is an intense & high fire
Wearing dragonhide gloves, use a spoon and add 5 drops of Bubertuber pus
Stir counter clockwise six times
Using a metal spoon, stir in a spoonful of toothpaste
Using a metal spoon, slowly drip in honey one tablespoon at a time (hold it about 6-8 inches away)
Crush four snake fangs into a fine powder using mortar and pestle
Sprinkle powder into potion
Grate cinnamon stick into cauldron
Chop up the whole clove of garlic & crush it with the flat of the blade.
Add garlic to cauldron
Grate two cups worth of lemon zest using same grater (no need to clean)
Let simmer for 15 minutes

Expertly, Janice chopped the clove of garlic. She had gotten used to the tears since a very young age; her mum had taught her the very skill when she was 4. After the garlic has been all cut and sliced and chopped into small, tiny pieces, she slid them off her chopping board into the cauldron. Copying Professor, she used her finger to clean the remains of garlic from her knive and plunged them inside the cauldron.
Then, she used the same grater to grate the lemon zest. She added 2 cups of grated lemon zest into her cauldron. WHile waiting to simmer for 15 minutes, she wrote the steps in her notes and put her wand in position.

Daichi's eyes never left the Professor as she began to walk around. In his mind, he was praying she wouldn't see HIS chocolate under the table and when she passed he let out a relieved breath. Why it was important to use metal was a mystery to him but he didn't pay attention to it and just grabbed the toothpaste. He placed it on the desk and pointed his wand at the tablespoon "Scourgify" he said and watched as the spoon got cleaner. Now he added the toothpaste on the metal and stirred gently in the cauldron under it dropped off.
Daichi grabbed another clean spoon and also the honey and measured it. He listened as Lafay told them to drip it slowly in the cauldron and the Slytherin stuck his tongue out in concentration as the liquid dripped in the cauldron.

Ah , so metal was a heat conductor...he knew that! Oh cool time for the mortar and pestle part! Daichi always liked this because he could crush things in to a powder that way~ No, he did not concider himself weird. He added four snake fangs and crushed them in the mortar. Sprinkling it in the cauldron he took a stick of cinnamon and looked at the Professor on what to do with it.
But...was...she...smiling? O_______o
Honestly what was wrong with the mean labeled Professors this term?!
Trying to ignore the fact that both of the concidered *evil* Professors where being *nice* he chopped the clove of garlic and began to crush it with the flat of his blade. Adding it in to the cauldron as instructed. He then grabbed the grater he used with the cinnamon and pointed his wand at it when Lafay instructed that i didn't need to be clean. So now he just began to grate the lemon until he had two cups full and added it in to the cauldron.
And now waiting. Bleh, waiting was always the least fun part. Daichi sighed as he sat back down in his chair and bend down to grab another piece of chocolate. He would get his wand later.

Folowing directions was definitely easier when she could make sure everything was perfectly measured. Picking up her grater and a lemon, she wondered why it wasn't important that they Scourgify the grater between the cinnamon and the lemon zest, but she still just started to grate. Checking the measuring cup once she'd finished with that lemon, she picked up another and kept grating until she saw she'd gotten two cups. Adding it to her cauldron, she set the measuring cup down again before updating her journal, laying her wand next to the parchment so she knew it was ready.

Craterotomy Potion
uses: to treat/cure pimples
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure
Fill Scourgified cauldron with water, then set over a high, intense flame, making sure flame is still controlled.
Wearing dragonhide gloves, scoop up five drops of bubotuber pus with a metal spoon, then add to cauldron.
Stir potion six times counter-clockwise
Squeeze a generous tablespoon of toothpaste onto a clean metal spoon, then stir into potion until toothpaste dissolves.
Making sure your metal spoon is clean again, measure a tablespoon of honey and drip into potion from 6-8 inches above cauldron. Repeat until all three tablespoons are added.
Using a mortar and pestle, crush the four snake fangs into a fine powder, then sprinkle into potion.
Grate cinnamon stick into potion.
Chop a whole garlic clove, then crush with the flat of the blade before adding to potion
Grate lemon zest, measuring out two cups, and then add to cauldron.
Simmer for fifteen minutes.

Taylor mimicked the wand movement, "Enodis!" Tay didnt add the salt yet sicne PRofessor Lafay said not to. She took a piece of chocolate and glared at it. Why must they have to eat something that will make acme appear on their faces? Tay hated when her face even got a smear of dirt but she bit it regardless, least she be yelled at. A pimple formed on Taylor's cheek and she tried to resist a shudder. She quickly dipped a metal spoon into the potion and touched it to the pimple on her cheek.

Sierra perked up, hoping there'd be a show in Potions class today. True, it was a Slytherin who seemed to be getting into trouble, but it wasn't her, so Sierra was good. She slumped over a little when she realized that the kid wasn't quite in any trouble. Not yet, at least.
Since she was casting, she turned her eyes away from the scene to get a good look at what she was doing. Her wand skimmed the top of the cauldron as she said, "Enodis!" Sierra looked up at Lafay, making a face as a huge boiled appeared on the woman's nose. "Eww," she mumbled.
There was a chocolate explosion then, though, so Sierra jerked her head away so as to catch one and avoid getting hit by the others. She really hated to cause a boil on her face. Gross. She popped the chocolate in her mouth, closing her eyes as she did so. Now...where was her boil? She felt it pop up on her left cheek, so she grabbed her metal spoon, dipped it into the potion, and then covered her blemish with it.

Kurumi eyed her cauldron nervously. Somewhere between the bubertuber pus and the lemon zest something must have gone wrong. At least, it looked as though something had since the consistency and color were nothing like those around her. Still, Professor Lafay hadn't overturned her cauldron and shouted at her to start over, so it must be alright...hopefully.
Holding her wand over her cauldron and tried to mimic the professor's movements. "Enodis," she squeaked in an obviously insecure tone. Her other hand was already hovering over her cauldron with a pinch of salt between her fingers when she hear the instructions to not add that just yet. Looking back at her hand, Kurumi noticed that the salt was no longer there. Oh? Had she not even picked any up in the first place? Sadly, no, that little bit of salt had fallen into the cauldron as well. Her potion now contained one extra drop of pus, more juice than zest, and now prematurely added salt. All of which had been done without the Gryffindor realizing it. But, back to her notes she went first.

Craterotomy Potion - a potion to help cure acne
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure:
Clean cauldron
Fill cauldron with water
Light burner and make sure there is an intense & high fire
Wearing dragonhide gloves, use a spoon and add 5 drops of Bubertuber pus
Stir counter clockwise six times
Using a metal spoon, stir in a spoonful of toothpaste
Using a metal spoon, slowly drip in honey one tablespoon at a time (hold it about 6-8 inches away)
Crush four snake fangs into a fine powder using mortar and pestle
Sprinkle powder into potion
Grate cinnamon stick into cauldron
Chop up the whole clove of garlic & crush it with the flat of the blade.
Add garlic to cauldron
Grate two cups worth of lemon zest using same grater (no need to clean)
Let simmer for 15 minutes
Cast Enodis - movement looks like you are skimming the top of the cauldron
Once those were all caught up, Kurumi grabbed a piece of chocolate and hesitated popping it into her mouth. This did NOT seem like a good idea, but she went with it anyway. How very Gryffindor of her. Once the chocolate had melted in her mouth, Kurumi felt the skin on her forehead tighten and she resembled some strange form of a unicorn.
She dipped her spoon back into her cauldron and applied some of the solution to her forehead, wincing at the intense heat of it, and then felt...something that she probably shouldn't be feeling. The skin on her forehead grew tighter everywhere and more boils appeared. Wasn't this supposed to prevent acne? How did boils come into the picture and WHY was her forehead breaking out into more of them?!

With his wand over his cauldron, Jory made the same movements the Professor had shown them as he said the incantation. "Enodis!" he said clearing, really hoping nothing would go wrong.
Grabbing a piece of chocolate, he glanced around the room, hesitating slightly when he saw is fellows were having break outs already. Finally, he crammed the chocolate into his mouth and almost instantly felt a boil appear on his chin.
Jory took one of the clean metal spoons, dipped it into his potion and applied it to his newly acquired blemish.

Alyssa sat up when the Professor picked up her wand. She watched as the Professor cast the spell and almost laughed when a zit appeared on the Professor's face, but managed to hide it in time. She watched as the Professor covered her pimple with some of the potion. But what about the salt? When did that get added in? Alyssa decided to ignore that ingredient for now, since the Professor had told them not to add the salt. So she picked up her wand and following the way the Professor skimmed hers over the cauldron, Alyssa waved her wand just like as if she was skimming the top of her cauldron and said "ENODIS."
As she let her potion brew, she ate a bit of the chocolate and immediately saw a zit on the tip of her nose. She crossed her eyes and looked at it. It was humungous. Alyssa dipped her metal spoon into the potion and scooping some of the potion, touched it to her pimple, making sure that it covered her entire pimple.
'Now what do we do?'Alyssa thought to herself. But as she waited for the Professor, she updated her potions journal.

15. Let honey drip slowly into mixture.
16. Make sure spoon is at least 6 to 8 inches above cauldron.
17. Do not let anything splash!!
18. Repeat steps two more times, until you have three tablespoons of honey in mixture
19. Clean mortar, pestle and grater.
20. Add 4 snake fangs into mortar and crush with pestle until fine powder.
21. Sprinkle powder into potion.
22. Take 1 cinnamon stick and grate it using grater into potion.
23. Take out measuring cup and knife and clean them.
24. Take one whole clove of garlic and smash it with the flat side of the knife blade
25. Add garlic into potion. Make sure that any remaining garlic still on knife is cleaned off and added to the potion.
26. Take grater and lemon zest. Grate to fill 2 cups. Add contents of measuring cup to potion.
27. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
28. Take wand and in a skimming motion over the cauldron, cast the spell, "Enodis".
29. Take a bite of the chocolate. Zit will appear.
30. Dip metal spoon into potion. Scoop some up and cover pimple with potion.

The 15 minutes past, Amelia had her wand ready by the time Professor Lafay told them the next step. She watched the Professor make the wand movement as she explained to them what to do.
She mimicked the spell, casting it on her own cauldron. "Enodis."
Now as she had a bit of chocolate given to her she ate it and then felt a huge blemish grow on her face. Ewww. Her complexion was usually so nice on the most part.
Dipping her spoon into the potion now, she covered her blemish with it.

3. Add the toothpaste making sure that the potion melts it all off of the spoon. There is no particular direction to stir it in or number of stirs. Next, add the honey slowly, pouring each tablespoon over the potion and letting it drip off of the spoon.
4. Ground the snake fangs into a fine powder using a mortar and pestle. Sprinkle into cauldron. Grate cinnamon over cauldron.
5. Chop the clove of garlic with your knife. Once chopped, crush with the flat side of the blade. Add to cauldron. Grate lemon to produce 2 cups of lemon zest. Add to cauldron. Let simmer for 15 minutes then ready your wand.
6. With your wand make a skimming motion over the potion while saying Enodis. Eat a piece of chocolate and a zit will form on your face. Dip your spoon into the potion and cover the zit with it.

Janice 'skimmed' the top of the potion with the tip of her wand, being very careful not to touch the potion's surface. Agin, she wondered what the spell is for. And, no. She is NOT going to eat chocolate of any sort.
"Professor," she started, hoping that she would not kill her, "I don't think I may eat the chocolate." Yes, may. "I'm allergic to it."
Glenn flinched at the professor's tone. Merlin. She had been almost nice at the start of the lesson.
The badger imitated the professor, "Enodis." She mumbled, skimming her wand across the top of her potion.
That. Was. One. Big. Chocolate. Explosion. She hastily ate the piece of chocolate that had exploded been given to her and felt a big boil pop up on her chin. Ugh. She dipped her spoon in the potion and dabbed it on to that gross blemish on her face.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

"Okay okay, sorry!" Daichi grabbed his wand after the Professor had literally snapped at him again. He saw how the tip of her own wand was starting to glow and he gulped nervously.
Luckily for him, nothing happened and he let out a breath of relief for the nth time when she turned around. "Enodis" he also said while skimming the top of the cauldron..... He hoped it had worked because he had no idea what it should do.
When Daichi heard the word salt , he grabbed it from his working space but placed it back down when he didn't needed it. But then...one of the worst things happened.
The...basket of chocolats...EXPLODED! "Noooo! my chocolate!" He shouted and tried to grab the flying pieces that were going to the other students to use. But then his shock was placed with quiet giggles when he looked back at the Professor and saw the boil on her nose. hehehehe.
Wait, the chocolate that was given to them AND the ones he ate just now were to give BOILS.. Did that mean he was now COVERED with them? Where was his mirror?! Daichi touched his face and sure enough he felt not one boil like the others but a couple of them. On his forehead, cheeks and chin. So this was why Lafay was so nice to give him the chocolate! Ugh.
Quickly grabbing his spoon and covered the potion on his few boils that had broke out.

Elise jolted as she realized that it was fifteen minutes already. Pulling out her wand quickly, she turned towards her cauldron. Mimicking the movement that Professor Lafay was doing with her wand, she almost skimmed the top of the cauldron. "Enodis," she muttered as her wand moved.
Catching a slab of chocolate before it hit her face, she smiled. Now that she wasn't allergic to chocolate, she was all but obsessed with it. Taking a bite, she finished the small bit of chocolate. It wasn't long until her forehead produced a pimple near her left eyebrow. Disgusting.
Lowering a metal spoon into the cauldron, she brought some of the potion to her face. Closing her eyes, she covered the pimple with the potion. It had better go down soon...

Ella jumped at the Professor's sudden annoyed tone, causing her to bang her knees under the table. "Ouch." She whispered, rubbing them momentarily.
She watched as the Professor moved her wand, noting the incantation, and then picked up her own. "Enodis." She said, moving the wand the same way the Professor had done.
She didn't add the salt, just glanced at it, wondering why they couldn't, and smiled when the chocolate seemed to explode. She reached out to catch her piece, thinking it was quite nice of the Professor to share, that is until she watched the Professor begin to break out. Ugh. This was not fun. It was class though so with a sigh, Ella ate the chocolate. She immediately felt a boil on her nose. "Great, now I'm rudolph." She said quietly, thinking of the childhood Christmas story she had heard many times. Shaking her head to clear the thought, she picked up her spoon and dipped it into the potion. She then touched the spoon to her nose blemish, covering it with the stuff. If only I could see myself in the mirror...she thought.

Raven took her wand, skimmed the top of the cauldron. "Enodis!" She said. She frowned why they didn't need to add the salt yet. Okay.. she just followed the instruction.
Then... chocolate. She took a piece of chocolate and ate it. Suddenly her nose turned red and a pimple appeared there.
"Ouch!" She felt her nose became bigger because of the pimple. She took a spoon of her potion and covered her nose with it.
Sooo.. was it success? She wondered.

Belle did the movements first before she put it over the cauldron. She skimmed the cauldron and said "Enodis!" and she didn't add the salt quite yet. She caught a piece of chocolate the exploded over the classroom. Belle noticed she got a blemish forming in the middle of her forehead. "Oh just perfect..." she thought. Then she got her potion and put some on her pimple that was forming. "I hope this works.." she prayed.

Gideon was working quietly and diligently as the steps were explained and shown, the 5th year careful as always to do it exactly as he was supposed to. "Scourgify," he cast quietly on his knife before taking ahold of the clove of garlic. He chopped it up and then crushed it with the side of the blade as demonstrated by the professor. Adding it all to the cauldron, he put down the knife and picked up the grater from where he had set it aside earlier.
Time for the lemon zest...the potion was already quite aromatic.
Taking the lemons, Gideon grated it until he had enough to measure two cups before adding the zest as well. He then stepped back and took a seat on his stool, glancing at his watch to check the start time of fifteen minutes.

When the requisite time was up, the Gryffindor's wand was at the ready in his hand. He surely didn't want to face Lafay's wrath which was in her tone and visible from his spot at the front of the room. Right...skimming the top of the cauldron...Enodis...Enodis...Enodis. When Gideon was comfortable with the word, he went to complete the magic. "Enodis..." he cast moving his wand as directed along the top though never actually touching the liquid.
Thankfully he was done before they were bombarded with pieces of chocolate from the professor's basket. Yikes...that could have been disasterous though Lafay didn't seem fazed. Gideon took a piece figuring that they wouldn't be given much choice anyway and popped it into his mouth. The Gryffindor making a slight face when he felt the break out on the left side of his face. He could only imagine what it looked like or made him look like not that he was vain or anything. At least it would be gone soon enough, Gideon taking his spoon and spooning out some of his potions work onto the break out, covering it as well as he could without seeing it.

Even though Stella had been waiting for Professor Lafay's good mood to vanish, when the professor snapped at Daichi near the end of her fifteen minute wait, she'd glanced up sharply. Picking up her own wand, which had still been lying on her workstation next to her journal parchment, she wondered what exactly the Slytherin had been doing while the professor demonstrated the spell they needed to cast. That had always been the one part of Potions Stella liked, seeing as she was comfortable using her wand, casting spells. It was everything else she had struggled with, until she'd managed to use her slight fear of the professor to sharpen her potionmaking skills. Of course, she couldn't say she was entirely comfortable with eating chocolate that gave her a pimple, but at least she could hope that her potion was correctly brewed and that it would work once she finished it.
Catching a piece of the chocolate as it zoomed by her, she set it on her parchment as she skimmed her wand over her cauldron as instructed. "Enodis," she cast, wondering what they were supposed to do with the salt if they were using their potion already. She figured there was a reason, and she popped her piece of chocolate in her mouth instead of asking. Especially if the professor wasn't in a good mood anymore. Swallowing, she frowned as she felt a tingling right next to her nose, then reached up to touch the bump that had appeared. It didn't seem overly large, but she still didn't like it being there so she dipped her metal spoon into the cauldron and scooped up a bit of her potion. At least they didn't have to drink it. Spreading it over the little bump, she waited to see what would happen next. Hopefully it would work.

Craterotomy Potion
uses: to treat/cure pimples
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure
Fill Scourgified cauldron with water, then set over a high, intense flame, making sure flame is still controlled.
Wearing dragonhide gloves, scoop up five drops of bubotuber pus with a metal spoon, then add to cauldron.
Stir potion six times counter-clockwise
Squeeze a generous tablespoon of toothpaste onto a clean metal spoon, then stir into potion until toothpaste dissolves.
Making sure your metal spoon is clean again, measure a tablespoon of honey and drip into potion from 6-8 inches above cauldron. Repeat until all three tablespoons are added.
Using a mortar and pestle, crush the four snake fangs into a fine powder, then sprinkle into potion.
Grate cinnamon stick into potion.
Chop a whole garlic clove, then crush with the flat of the blade before adding to potion
Grate lemon zest, measuring out two cups, and then add to cauldron.
Simmer for fifteen minutes.
Making a skimming motion over cauldron with wand, cast “Enodis.”
Spread potion over any blemishes, covering them entirely.

Craterotomy Potion - a potion to help cure acne
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure:
Clean cauldron
Fill cauldron with water
Light burner and make sure there is an intense & high fire
Wearing dragonhide gloves, use a spoon and add 5 drops of Bubertuber pus
Stir counter clockwise six times
Using a metal spoon, stir in a spoonful of toothpaste
Using a metal spoon, slowly drip in honey one tablespoon at a time (hold it about 6-8 inches away)
Crush four snake fangs into a fine powder using mortar and pestle
Sprinkle powder into potion
Grate cinnamon stick into cauldron
Chop up the whole clove of garlic & crush it with the flat of the blade.
Add garlic to cauldron
Grate two cups worth of lemon zest using same grater (no need to clean)
Let simmer for 15 minutes
Cast Enodis - movement looks like you are skimming the top of the cauldron
Once those were all caught up, Kurumi grabbed a piece of chocolate and hesitated popping it into her mouth. This did NOT seem like a good idea, but she went with it anyway. How very Gryffindor of her. Once the chocolate had melted in her mouth, Kurumi felt the skin on her forehead tighten and she resembled some strange form of a unicorn.
She dipped her spoon back into her cauldron and applied some of the solution to her forehead, wincing at the intense heat of it, and then felt...something that she probably shouldn't be feeling. The skin on her forehead grew tighter everywhere and more boils appeared. Wasn't this supposed to prevent acne? How did boils come into the picture and WHY was her forehead breaking out into more of them?!

10. Squeeze toothpaste into one spoon. Make sure it's one tablespoon worth.
11. Add toothpaste into mixture.
12. Stir until all the toothpaste is removed from spoon.
13. Now take other metal spoon.
14. Pour honey into metal spoon. Measure out one tablespoon.
15. Let honey drip slowly into mixture.
16. Make sure spoon is at least 6 to 8 inches above cauldron.
17. Do not let anything splash!!
18. Repeat steps two more times, until you have three tablespoons of honey in mixture
19. Clean mortar, pestle and grater.
20. Add 4 snake fangs into mortar and crush with pestle until fine powder.
21. Sprinkle powder into potion.
22. Take 1 cinnamon stick and grate it using grater into potion.
23. Take out measuring cup and knife and clean them.
24. Take one whole clove of garlic and smash it with the flat side of the knife blade
25. Add garlic into potion. Make sure that any remaining garlic still on knife is cleaned off and added to the potion.
26. Take grater and lemon zest. Grate to fill 2 cups. Add contents of measuring cup to potion.
27. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
28. Take wand and in a skimming motion over the cauldron, cast the spell, "Enodis".
29. Take a bite of the chocolate. Zit will appear.
30. Dip metal spoon into potion. Scoop some up and cover pimple with potion.

Daichi touched his face and sure enough he felt not one boil like the others but a couple of them. On his forehead, cheeks and chin. So this was why Lafay was so nice to give him the chocolate! Ugh.
Quickly grabbing his spoon and covered the potion on his few boils that had broke out.

Craterotomy Potion
uses: to treat/cure pimples
Ingredients
Water
5 drops of bubertuber pus
1 tbsp Toothpaste
3 tbsp. honey
4 Snake fangs
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Procedure
Fill Scourgified cauldron with water, then set over a high, intense flame, making sure flame is still controlled.
Wearing dragonhide gloves, scoop up five drops of bubotuber pus with a metal spoon, then add to cauldron.
Stir potion six times counter-clockwise
Squeeze a generous tablespoon of toothpaste onto a clean metal spoon, then stir into potion until toothpaste dissolves.
Making sure your metal spoon is clean again, measure a tablespoon of honey and drip into potion from 6-8 inches above cauldron. Repeat until all three tablespoons are added.
Using a mortar and pestle, crush the four snake fangs into a fine powder, then sprinkle into potion.
Grate cinnamon stick into potion.
Chop a whole garlic clove, then crush with the flat of the blade before adding to potion
Grate lemon zest, measuring out two cups, and then add to cauldron.
Simmer for fifteen minutes.
Making a skimming motion over cauldron with wand, cast “Enodis.”
Spread potion over any blemishes, covering them entirely.

Taylor added the salt and casted the charm again. She moved the wand in the opposite direction. Tay grimaced as she ladled some of the potion up and took a drink. She felt the boil begin to shrink until it was completely gone a few moments later. Taylor was happy that the pimple was gone finally.

Right. This step seemed easy as well. This whole potion was pretty easy. Not that she was complaining. :3
She took a pinch of salt and added it to the potion and then picked her wand up again. She made the same skimming motion over the surface, making sure to go in the opposite direction from before. "Enodis!"
She now took a ladle full of her potion, drinking it. She could feel her blemish vanishing.

Process
1. After cleaning the cauldron, fill it with water. Light a high, intense flame underneath. Make sure that it's intense but not large.
2. After putting on dragonhide gloves, add five spoonfuls of bubertuber pus. Stir counter-clockwise six times.
3. Add the toothpaste making sure that the potion melts it all off of the spoon. There is no particular direction to stir it in or number of stirs. Next, add the honey slowly, pouring each tablespoon over the potion and letting it drip off of the spoon.
4. Ground the snake fangs into a fine powder using a mortar and pestle. Sprinkle into cauldron. Grate cinnamon over cauldron.
5. Chop the clove of garlic with your knife. Once chopped, crush with the flat side of the blade. Add to cauldron. Grate lemon to produce 2 cups of lemon zest. Add to cauldron. Let simmer for 15 minutes then ready your wand.
6. With your wand make a skimming motion over the potion while saying Enodis. Eat a piece of chocolate and a zit will form on your face. Dip your spoon into the potion and cover the zit with it.
7. Add the salt and then repeat the incantation moving in the opposite direction from before. Drink the potion.
