Hecate had brought a tray with a few items on them. Flowers, Shellfish, Strawberries, peanuts and other things. Her large cauldron was seated on it's burner, which was not lit, before her.
She was in a good enough mood. Things were going well in her personal life. She just needed to get used to certain things... that would come with time. She opened the classroom, and waited for her students to file in.
ooc: This class will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Antarctica! for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me at the WWoHP, and to Ameh for makin it into a pretty graphic!

Alyssa thought for awhile before raising her hand and answered. "Professor, would one of the ingredients be something to heal the person from the reaction they are getting like for example Wiggentree Bark, Salamandar Blood or even St. John's Wort."
"I want to say something the person is allergic to," Jordan said as he raised his hand. "But wouldn't that just trigger the reaction, whilst drinking the potion?" he asked. "And I'd expect there to be substances with healing kind of properties in the potion as well."

Seeing as Kurumi's first thought of adding something that they were allergic to into the potion had been said several times already, Kurumi crossed her arms and thought some more. Potions really wasn't one of her better subjects, but she thought that she would give this a wild guess and raised her hand. "Since allergies act as a sort of poison to our bodies...would the use of a bezoar be included?"

Many of them thought that the substance someone was allergic to can be a potential ingredient. It can be right, it can be wrong. He didn't know. Hades won't answer to this question since he preffered to listen to others' opinions before the Potion Mistress disclosed it. Hades took a parchment from his bag and laid it flat on the table as he took out his quill and a bottle of ink.

What were the ingredients found in such potion? THAT, Jonathan had no idea of what kind of ingredient is in that potion but hearing everyone answering Professor Lafay made him nod. Yeah, it kind of made sense--- their answers that is. Jonathan took his journal where he put all of his notes in Potions and started copying some of their answers as well.
"Wouldn't it be what the person is allergic to? To were it will weaken the allergies?" Angelina asked after raising her hand. She had an idea, but wasn't sure if it was correct.
Spike thought about it a bit, laying his curly head on his hand. Seeing as that allergen itself had already been said, he needed something a bit more original. So he thought back to his summer in the woods, and his exploration of the plants there.
"Dock leaves," he said, raising his hand. "They're used to help with the irritation from stinging nettles, because they're meant to contain some kind of anti-histi-something, and I think that's to do with your body not liking the nettle sting." He frowned, annoyed he couldn't complete the word. "And sneezewort, as allergies like hayfever involve lots of sneezing, and if it's been named appropriately it might help.

Many answered that one important ingredient in making the potion was the thing that the person was allergic to. Of course, she thought it really needed to be included indeed. Yet many had already answered that and clearly, that won't be the only ingredient needed in that potion right? There ought to be more. So she thought hardly of the ingredients she had studied during the summer, maybe there was one that could be possibly used in making the Anti-Allergen Potion.
After thinking for a while, she raised her hand, "Professor..how about Snakeweed?" Because from what she could remember, the weed was used to prevent irritation during the old times.
Aurora was stumped. This had never happened in a potions lesson before...
Maybe it was all the revising for her music exam... it seemed to have pushed everything else out of her head. She was going to say part of the thing you were allergic to but lots of people had already said that. She was taking notes as she thought...
"Professor, would you put some sort of anti-inflammatory thing in it?" Because that's what her mother always did when Krys decided to climb the poison oak.
Ingredients?''Well Professor,.''He didn't know what say.''Maybe a bezoar.''He had heard someone say that.Damit!.He couldn't think of much,So he just copied down everything down.
She nodded. "Good. Good. Yes. An allergy is an abnormal reaction to a substance that you come in contact with. So... the way you fight it, is you force your body to NOT recognize the substance. And to do that... you need a potion." She smirked.
"Now... who can think of what ingredients might come in this potion?" She asked and waited to hear the answers.
Zack looked up as he heard the professor asking another question in the class. He seemed very excited for this class. A potion that could help overcoming allergies! Wow, that is so cool! he though. But the problem was that he couldn't remember to what he's allergic to. He tried to give his attention to things that made him sneeze and stuff but there really wasn't anything he could remember about. Well, let that be, i'll think of that later. he thought. Just then he heard professor calling out for some more questions.
INGREDIENTS?
Now, how is a first year to know that? Sadly his father didn't teach him much about potions ingredients before coming to Hogwarts. He looked back down as he couldn't think of anything else but to drink the potion when it was ready, by that time he would keep thinking about the thing he was allergic to.

Messer thought for a few minutes before he raised his hand back in the air "Could it be the allergen itself and umm..also the opposite substance which reduces the effect?" the first year said not really sure with his answer.

Laura looked at the Professor and smiled, seriously why hadn't she said she was allergic to the Professor, that would have been so funny well anyway she wasn't going to say anything now. "How about bannana's?" Laura thought that would make the Potion taste nice.

Minerva really wasn't sure of this question, but put up her hand. "Professor the ingredient would need to be something that tells the body to work correctly or something to counteract with the allergy."

Ingredients huh? Well, if you have to hide the thing the person is allergic too then that must be in the potion somewhere! Ella raised her hand. "Professor, the thing the person is allergic to is probably in the potion, just masked in taste and smell to trick the person's body into not reacting to it..."

Harvey wrote down what the professor said onto his parchment before raising his hand to answer the question "The substance that you are allergic to could be one of the ingredients that may come in the potion" he answered as he waited to see if he was correct or not.

What kind of ingredients to make it NOT recognize the substance, eh? Hmm. Louisa pondered that for a minute before raising her hand, rather slowly, "Belladonna perhaps, professor?" She really had no idea, so guessing a standard ingredient would be helpful?

"Bezoar?" She sprouted after rocketing her hand upwards. It's been in her mind for some time. "It cures diseases, right? And most probably allergies too, even though they're not sickness or diseases."

Thinking about the question the professor had just asked she had many ideas rolling around in her head. With a raised hand she said "Professor I think we would need what we are allergic to and something to fight that allergic reaction." What that something was thought she had no idea!
What would come in the Potion? Oh Merlin, this was the part of potions that made Selina want to throw up. The actual brewing it practical part of the lesson always ended in some form of disaster. How was it thag she, who was commonly referred to as blow up in potions, always came back to this class? Well she knew the answer to that- she was required to have the class up until OWLs. After that she would spare Lafay the headache of Selina's awful potion brewing.
So when she asked the question Selina went with the only answer she knew, "Ma'am... Perhaps water?"

Kimalia thought, and thought, having her quill tap her chin a little. Now what could they put in a potion. She didn't want to look it up in the book before trying to answer though..Hmm, then she thought about some stuff her mum used on her making her raising her hand, "What about Aloe Vera? It's great at relieving burns and itching."
It all seemed to be repeat but she never actually made the Potion before so the chances of a correct answer was very very unusuall... So the substance of the allergy was what she had to go with! Or maybe something else..
LuLu looked at the other students that thought outside the box... Water? W-well.. Yes! But...
She shook it off quickly and turned to the proffeser and raised her hand ''Well of course there is the object/thing, that the particular person is allergic to, but if thats the case then you need an anti allergy ingredient,'' she didn't know what.. what it was, but it was an answer!
autumn wasn't sure
"Umm professor, is the thing that the person is allergic to in there? But it isz counteracted with other ingrediants so it is not harmful."
