Hecate had brought a tray with a few items on them. Flowers, Shellfish, Strawberries, peanuts and other things. Her large cauldron was seated on it's burner, which was not lit, before her.
She was in a good enough mood. Things were going well in her personal life. She just needed to get used to certain things... that would come with time. She opened the classroom, and waited for her students to file in.

Angelina didn’t know much about allergies, so raising her hand she took the best guess, ”Professor, aren’t allergies when something happens in our body that reacts to anything, that may think is harm, but isn’t really?” she hoped that made since.

Lafay's quite relaxed today, Janice thought. And what is an allergy? She raised her hand and answered.
"Allergy is when your body reacts abnormally to something that is supposed to be normal. Some has it, some don't." Like rashes because of bush daisies, red sores because of pineapples, and those puking and barfing because of chocolate. Yep.

Kurumi covered her mouth with the sleeve of her robes as she squeak!sneezed. Had she known about this portion of the lesson, Kurumi would have brought one of her surgical masks with her to wear during the lesson. Now, with her sneezing beginning and her eyes getting itchy, it was going to take a while for her body to relax.
When Professor Lafay asked her next question, Kurumi sneezed into the sleeve of her robes again and then raised her other hand. "An a-allergy is when *sneeze* you have an a-a-abnormally high sensa *sneeze* sensitivity to something *sneeze* Our bodies react to t-t-the substance *sneeze!squeak* and treat it as an invader *sneeze*." And well, Kurumi was just going to stop talking because she was hardly getting through a sentence without sneezing.

Someone was allergic to chocolate?! Though it was believible she would be extremely upset if she was allergic to chocolate since it was one of her favourite things. But so many people had allergies it was terrible.
Listening to the Professor straight away she knew what an allergy was. She had even see someone's rashes because of eating a banana. "An allergy is a hyper sensitive reaction when a certain thing interfeers with your imunne system" She said raising her hand up before.
Sophie raised her hand once again before speaking. "I think allergy is when our body is trying to protect us from what it thinks it's dangerous." She looked around. "Even when the thing is not really dangerous..."

Of course it was sad, El couldn't eat chocolate! Frowning, she shrugged as if to say 'I didn't get to choose'.

Lowering her hand, she looked around. She and Beezus weren't the only ones. There were about four of them? But those were chocolate, not necessarily cacao. A true cacao allergy was rare, at least that was what she was told...
"Class has now begun." She said closing the door. "Anyone else allergic to something in this room? Come up and Identify it." She said watching the class.
There wasn't anything Kacie could think of that she was allergic to so she just simply shook her head at the professor's question, while others said what they were allergic to. One thing was for sure, if she ever was allergic to chocolate, she didn't think she would be able to survive. How could anyone live without chocolate?

Kacie raised her hand so she could answer the question. Telling want an allergy is was easy enough. "It an illness that causes people to have a bad reaction to things that's usually harmless like food or other things," she said, giving a simple answer of what she thought an allergy was. "I hope I never develop an allergy or if I do I hope its not something I'd hate to give up."

Yeah tell him about it, specially if the allergy emerged right smack in the middle of puberty. He angled his head confused at the Potions Mistress instructions to close their books, but followed he did. Next question was.... something easier to answer by reading from a book. Guess he was gonna have to wing it "Professor, an allergy is the body's defensive response to a substance it doesnt agree with. Usually those substances are harmless and can be found anywhere in the environment but depending on a person's specific physiology, those substances can upset the body's internal balance. Autumn thought for a while "Professor, is a allergy when the body and its immune system response to a substance, where as the symptons can go from just itchy eyes and runny nose, to a swollen throat and life threatening conditions."

ALLERGIES. It's official they'll be learning something that is linking to allergies today. No doubt about it. A potion that probably gets rid of the allergies, or something like that... maybe.
Jonathan raised his hand to answer "Allergies are reactions of the body to a normally harmless substance such as food, weather, animals, fruits, and many more that some students have mentioned earlier."

Being allergic to chocolate was sad? She frowned. Really? Why did she not feel the same? She was even thankful that she was allergic to chocolate so she won't have cavities.
Then..they were asked to close their books. She did. And when the next question was given, she raised her hand and answered. "Allergy Professor in my own understanding and simplest definition is sensitivity to certain substances that can trigger some unusual reactions in a person's body."
What was an allergy? Well Selina knew that her mother had some allergies so she had the basic understanding of them, but beyond the basic understanding of them she was lacking. It was not like Selina could just whip out a dictionary definition like most students her age seemed to be able to do. In her best attempt at a definition in the vernacular, Selina rose her hand, "Ma'am, an allergy is when a person's body cannot have contact or ingest certain things specific to the person or else they would have a reaction, which could be sneezing, a runny nose and all of the other side affects that constitute an allergy." Merlin knew her mother was awful around the whole milk thing. Ah well, more ice cream for herself.

Kimalia rose her hand to answer, "An allergy is related to one's immune system overreacting to something, whether ingested, touched or inhaled." It was a good thing that at least her allergy was of a food, other than something in the air. That would make staying outside all the time difficult..
Nate raises his hand ans says "Professor I think an allergy is a hypersensitivity disorder of the immune system." That is what he just thought. He could be wrong he could be right. You never know until you find out.

She didn't even pay attention to who was saying what. Meh. It was a boring start for a lesson, or well maybe it was a bit more boring than she'd expected when she saw that tray of colorful cute things.
Raising her hand, she answered, "Allergy is a reaction that our body initiates when it doesn't accept a substance... or two. It's mild when it happens for the first time but it grows extremer if it happens again and again."

Now that he knew who was allergic to what, Hades can save them by not targetting their allergies. He wasn't that mean, all right? "It's an extraordinary sensitivity to some substances," said the boy after putting up his hand. Not a brilliant answer, but at least it made some sense.

Ella raised her hand. She was pretty sure she knew what an allergy was though she didn't really know how to explain it. "Professor, an allergy is something that-that can cause negative things to happen to people who are sensitive to them. For example, someone with an allergy to bees would swell up when stung."

Harvey thought about what the professor said.. he would get allergies?! he wondered what his allergy would be if he got one.. he then put up his hand to answer the question. "I think that an allergy is a reaction to certain substances.. of which many can be harmless whereas others could be harmful.. some I have heard can cause quite a bad reaction if the person is quite sensitive to the substance" he answered the question ..

Violet raised her hand. She wasn't exactly sure what an allergy was, but it was worth a shot to try and guess. "An allergy is something that your body reacts to if it's sensitive to the material. Is it kind of like a safety protections for your body?" She cocked her head in doubt.
TAylor raised her hand, "PRofessor, an allergy is when the body reacts to somthing that it thinks is dangerous and tries to get rid of it. THe thing that people are allergic to isn't usually dangerous overall just to whomever has the allergy.
