Zack looked up from his desk as the professor finally declared that the class had begun. He didn't want to miss and of the stuff thought in this class as he was very interested in making potion since he drank the first potion his father had made for him to could change his hair color and he really loved the hair color as it turned into orange, one of his favorite colors.

He sat up straight and tried to pay attention on what the all stuff professor had in the cauldron and thankfully he wasn’t allergic to any of that. It was a completely different experience for him to be in the potions class for the very first time in his life.

Allergies? Nope. But she did hate a few things like fish and other disgusting things she hasn't mentioned; zuchinni. But no for real she didn't have any allergies as it had been a kind of gene in her family with no allergies. Hopefully this lady wouldn't shout over one hundred decibles at her.

Hmm, Allergens...surverying the assorted items on the tray, ahh, she found it. Raising her hand, before standing up to walk up near the tray, Kimalia pointed it out when she was close enough, "The assorted nuts, those are what I'm allergic to." She grimaced, at least it wasn't pollen or strawberries, she just loooved strawberries.

Zhenya had another good look at the items Professor Lafay had on display. Nope - she wasn't allergic to any of them. She was allergic to some soaps, but not the anaphylaxis kind of allergic.

Allergic? YES!

"I have a terribly bad allergic with cats, and kneazles. But I didn't see any cats or kneazles here." she said. She was lucky, if Lafay had cats or kneazles here, she could sneeze very loudly.. and repeatly.

None. Jezzabelle sat there and watched as some of the students came up and gave their list of allergies, while a few others remained sitting and gave a random allergies not pertaining to the things up front, and others who remained silent like her. She was lucky though, to not have any allergies, or at least none that she knew of so far.

As far Jonathan could remember, he doesn't seem to have any in particular though. He usually plays in his mother's garden, so flowers are definitely off the choices, when it comes to food such as shellfish--- Jonathan doesn't have any allergic reaction to it. So still no. And peanuts? He eats peanuts when he's home alone while staring at the wall. Strawberries? definitely not. Jonathan likes to eat so food was never an issue for him.

OHHHH.... SPRING.

He's allergic to Spring. That season probably cursed him or something. He always gets sick during Spring. And not a good way of sick. NO. That type of sick that you just get irritated because you have a running nose, itchy skin plus the headache. Yup. Jonathan hates spring season.

Jonathan looked at Lafay. Well, unless she has the spring season somewhere in this room. But the choices she had were okay. Jonathan doesn't have any allergy problems with those. So nope.

Having prepared herself for the class, putting out her parchment quill and textbook, the girl watched the other students file in and... whaaaaaaao! That boy had the guts to ask about Lafay's love life? How reckless. Heh.

And the class had finally begun. Louisa watched the stuff laid out on the tray again. Nah, she wasn't allergic to anything. Anything she'd encountered so far anyway. Was that why the cute stuff were on the tray? Daaaaaaang it, she thought they were about to get a matching tray! Hmph. There goes the reason she was excited for this particular lesson.

Beezus sat down on her chair as their Potions Mistress had announced the start of the class. She was just right on time per se, but she did not have the chance to greet the Professor for her classmates had piled around Professor Lafay when she arrived.

Then she heard the allergic part. Uh-oh. That did not sound good. Hesitantly, Beezus lifted her hand in the air and said, "Professor, I'm allergic to chocolate."

Did she have allergies? Nope. None that she knew of anyway. Ella sat quietly, happy not to have anything to report.

Messer took a good look at the items Professor Lafay has. His eyes went from one item to another. Flowers..Strawberries..Shellfish..Then his eyes stopped when he saw there's peanuts there. PEANUTS?! Messer raised his hand "I'm allergic to peanuts, Professor." he said.

Vickers, who sat himself at the front seat closest to the wall, shifted his position as he looked at the items beside the Professor. Pushing his glasses up his nose he tried to identify something that kinda caught him off-guard at Muggle Studies. Tentatively he raised his hand and replied "P-Professor... I may have developed some sensitivity to tomatoes"

How did she know I'm allergic to dust?? Janice thought. She knows that Lafay is a legilimens, but she couldn't possibly be a healer, knowing everything just by one simple look. She raised her hand and answered.

"I'm allergic to bush daisies, pineapples, chocolate, and dust, hence the sneezing."

Silvia raised her hand. "I have a very small allergy to pollen," she said. "But it doesn't bother me much, and only if there is a whole lot of it." Luckily, it hadn't really bothered her in Herbology earlier that term. She wondered why they were talking about allergies.

Seriously? Arya would have rolled her eyes if she thought it was safe to do in this classroom. Instead she resigned herself to sitting in silence, eyes wandering to all the students with allergies, and slightly surprised the woman was asking about allergies in the firs place. More than slightly surprised. Was she going to help them? All of them?

There seemed to be a few with allergies.

Odd way to start off the first lesson wasn't it?

Why were they telling her that they were allergic to things that weren't in the room, as far as she was conserned Proffeser Lafay didn't let in a cat nor was she having a bar of chocolate! Besides she didn't think she was allergic to anything in the room.. Possibly a reaction from dust or flowers, hayfever! But not any praticular ingrediant used for Potions as far as she knew... or thought!

Amethyst thought about it for a moment. She wasn't allergic to anything was she? Nope. Not that she could remember. She just shook her head to the professor and looked at all of the things on the desk. What was she getting at?

Jordan shook his head absent mindedly when the Professor asked the classs as a whole if any of them had any allergies. Nope, not that he knew of, and he didn't intend to find out he was allergic to something anytime soon... He didn't need to alert the Professor if he wasn't allergic, did he?

Nessie raised her hand and pointed to the peanuts warily. She didn't want to get anywhere near them. "I'm allergic to peanuts professor." She could feel her throat get scratchy just by being in the same room as her. She rubbed her throat and put a hand on her Epi Pen . . . just in case.

Having found a seat in the back of the class as far away from Professor Lafay as possible, he had to get up and walk quite a way to reach the front of the room where the Potions Mistress stood with the items they may be allergic too.

After the one lesson last term, August was afraid there would be something he was allergic to and she would throw it over his head like a cauldren of tainted potion. When he reached the front he saw the shellfish and made a grimace. He was Jewish and not allowed to eat shellfish...it wasn't Kosher.

"Professor, I can't eat shellfish, I-I'm allergic." He said boldy. He was NOT going to eat it, that was for sure.

Autumn sat there and thought.... allergies... not that she knows.. yet but she hadn't been around magical potion ingrediants.

She sat there and waited while everyone told what they were allergic to.

He KNEW it. Alex knew she was trying to make them sneeze! What a weird way to begin the lesson. He looked at all the items she had with her in the front of the room and was suddenly very grateful he didn't have any food allergies. That'd be awful! He was also lucky he wasn't allergic to any animals either, although that really didn't matter much since he never planned on owning any animals except a Clabbert.

He raised his hand. "I'm a bit allergic to pollen as well, professor," he explained. Ah yes. Those lovely seasonal allergies. They didn't like him one bit. "But not very allergic...unless I rub them in my face or something, I'm usually ok," he added.

He regretted that a second after he said it. He didn't want to give her any ideas!

India had no idea what she was allergic to - only that her mum was allergic to Strawberries. She'd never really had them so she wouldn't know. The one thing she knew about was common, dust...and the other was odd. Raising her hand she began to answer Professor Lafay's question.

"Professor, I'm allergic to dust and the muggle product Gain and all fabric softeners" yep that was fun when she went and did laundry at home - at least here she could run her loads of laundry easily and if House elves helped (without her approval of course) she had left a note saying no fabric softener please!. Ugh she hated allergies. "Other than that I don't know yet i'll have to figure it out as I go!"

Gideon frowned as Kacie managed to pull the book away from him, listening to his sister as she explained what happened. Young Damien's work or older, it didn't matter much but he still wasn't thrilled with her having it, even if he himself was curious to its contents. He was about to speak to her but Professor Lafay had decided that moment to start the class and with one final look at the younger Gert, Gideon turned his attention to the front of the classroom.

Did he have any allergies?

Aye Gideon did...to some nuts specifically but not to all of them like his mother was. It was then that he noticed what Professor Lafay had set out, items that seemed to be all something one or more of his classmates might be allergic to. He got up as the woman had requested to check but nothing he saw seem to fit what he knew of. "Nope...nothing I can identify that remember," he said before returning to his seat.
