Hecate had brought a tray with a few items on them. Flowers, Shellfish, Strawberries, peanuts and other things. Her large cauldron was seated on it's burner, which was not lit, before her.

She was in a good enough mood. Things were going well in her personal life. She just needed to get used to certain things... that would come with time. She opened the classroom, and waited for her students to file in.

ooc: This class will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Antarctica! for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me at the WWoHP, and to Ameh for makin it into a pretty graphic!

Sophie came in with a smile on her face. Potions should be cool! She used to have a lot of fun watching her parents brew a couple of potions at home, she was sure she would love to brew some herself! It should be even better!

"Good day, Professor!" she said while sitting down by some of her friends. She just nodded at some of her classmates she knew. Something about Professor Lafay's message on the noticeboard made her think this professor was different from the others, so she thought it would be best just to wait quietly for the lesson to begin.

Kennedy made his way to the Potions classroom with a calm expression. Things so far were going well for the fifth year and he was caught with his classes which was another plus. Upon entering the class his eyes searched for a seat in the front. After finding one he walked toward it, but before sitting down he greeted his Head of House. "Good day, Professor Lafay," he grinned, "I hope you had a nice summer," he said and took his seat.

This class made him feel...closer to home? It was a feeling of the sort that connected him to house. It could be that it was because the class was located in the dungeons just like his living quarters or because the woman who taught the lesson was his very Head of House. Either way, it made him feel less nervous than in any other class. Almost confident.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO POTIONS!!!! FINALLY Aurora's favourite lesson was starting. She walked into the classroom with a smile on her face and took her usual place near the front, placing her bag beside her. "Good day, Professor. How are you today?" she asked cheerily.

She frowned slightly in confusion whilst eyeing up the items on the tray. What could they be for..? Flowers and strawberries and peanuts and... was that a crab or something? Interesting.

Glenn walked in to Potions, a little nervous. She had a tendency to overlook small instructions sometimes, and she was terrified that the teacher would get mad at her if she messed up. "Hello Professor!" She said, giving a nervous smile and finding a seat near the front so that it would be hard to miss hear of miss read.

Her last first Potions lesson. The class had never been her favorite, but Vashti still felt a little sad as she entered the classroom. Of course, that was nothing new, but still. No matter how hard she tried to forget that this was her last year, something always managed to remind her. Sigh.

She managed a smile for Professor Lafay though and greeted her with a "Good day, Professor," before she quietly took a seat.

Well, one thing was for sure: Jonathan was happy today. As Kurumi entered the classroom, she looked around to see that there were a lot of students already here and that Professor Lafay had...flowers? Oh! Strawberries too! Kurumi immediately thought of baking, but dared not say it out loud. She had a few cookie recipes involving strawberries that she had been wanting to try for quite some time now, but had been too busy with prefecting things and studying for OWLs to try. "Good day, Professor Lafay," Kurumi said as she approached the station where Jonathan was sitting and set her bag down.

Kurumi continued to eye the things...her brother was DEATHLY allergic to peanuts...and Kurumi mildly allergic to flower pollen...which is why she took a seat a few rows back as opposed to her usual right in the front.

Janice walked into the classroom, feeling a bit light-headed. Probably just a light cold, she said to herself. Nothing serious.

"Hello, professor! Had a good holiday?" She said while walking past the lady.she quickly took an empty seat somewhere in the middle of the dungeon. She stiffled a sneeze and sat down quietly.

Arya was tempted to spend this lesson out at the sanctuary with all the lovely creatures, but the reminder that she had NEWTs to study for had her slipping down the dungeons and into the potions classroom. "Hey, Professor."

The woman recieved a brief smile as she moved through the desks, settling for one in the center. There really was no safe seat in this class when one came early. Her belongings were deposited on the table and her person into the seat.

Kacie smiled at her brothers surprised look, pulling the book back so he couldn't grab it. "Na uh uh," she said as she shook her head. She knew he'd probably want to look at it, but she wanted to tease him with it a little. "I just happen to find it while looking around in the study. Da much of left this one upstairs. I think he forgot about it, so I've had it stashed away for safe keeping. The dates in this book is very old so I'm guess it was when he was younger... a year or two older than you." That was the only reason why she took it because she didn't think her father would notice it missing because he had a dozen more potion journals he kept.

Alex entered the classroom and paused to take in her surroundings. "This should be interesting", she thought. She wasn't sure how to feel about her very first Potions class. "Hello Professor", Alex said and then found a spot at an empty table. She scanned the room hoping to see some familiar faces.

Cornelius somehow managed to find his way to the Potions classroom, surprised that he hadn't gotten lost in the rest of the dungeons and extremely grateful. This place was pretty creepy. Seemed like a proper place to make potions though, which sort of got the student excited for what the class would be like. He had decided early on that he would try to introduce himself to as many Professors as possible before he just nose dived into their classes, not wanting to be rude.

With this said, he gave a brief nod before returning to his seat, sure that she had other students to greet as well.

She was just about to glance at the roster, when the boy introduced himself. "Master Rune, it is a pleasure to see someone with such good manners. Welcome."

This class made him feel...closer to home? It was a feeling of the sort that connected him to house. It could be that it was because the class was located in the dungeons just like his living quarters or because the woman who taught the lesson was his very Head of House. Either way, it made him feel less nervous than in any other class. Almost confident.

Oh MERLIN...really? Kurumi raised her hand and slowly stood up, making her way towards the front of the room as had been requested. "I am slightly allergic to pollen, professor," Kurumi said, pointing towards the flowers. It was something that had only started in the past year or so, but was why she now needed to wear a mask whenever she went to Herbology lessons.

Well, now the reason why she was sitting so far back was obvious, yes?

Alyssa took the hanky that the Professor had given her to clean her nose but then she realized what the Professor was actually telling her. Alyssa blushed beet red. She hadn't thought that her offer to help would be misconstrued as brown nosing, or as the Americans say "kissing up to the teacher". Alyssa was now embarrassed and mortified but she tried to forget for the moment what the Professor had implied.

Alyssa was wondering why her nose was itchy and eyes were watering but she couldn't figure out why. But when the Professor asked her question, she knew that it had something to do with the lesson they were going to be learning today.

So Alyssa raised her hand and stood up. "Professor, I am slightly allergic to certain specific cats. But I don't see any cats here in the room, so I shouldn't be having these allergies." Then Alyssa realized the tray that the Professor had brought in. There must be something 'cattish' in there. That's why her allergies were going haywire.

Allergies?! Right, nobody in her family had ever had allergies and that continued with her. So Sky sat silently in her seat while her classmates identified any allergies they had.

Hades was about to sit on the third row of the class when Professor Lafay asked them to identify the substances that can cause allergies. Although he had seen what were they just now, Hades stretched his neck to take a look at them again. Strawberries... Peanuts... Flowers... Common types of allergies. Never heard of shellfish allergy though.

Luckily, Hades wasn't allergic to any of those. Unless if Lafay included Hufflepuffs, he was allergic to them.

Looking around the room Angelina saw some classmates pointing out what they where allergic to. Luckly Angelina didn't have to worry about that. She wasn't allergic to anything, nothing. To answer Professor Lafay question, she sat quietly.
