"No need to worry about me!" Faven said, "I appreciate the thought though! She was so lucky to have picked such a nice partner!

"Sounds like a good idea, I think I understand the spell enough, let's hope for no mishaps!" That would just be perfect, first lesson and an incident? Oh no, not this class! Herbology had been quite enough of that!

Faven watched in wonderment as the older girl used the spell.....Felintas...it seemed, and sharply inhaled in slight horror as her hair grew and grew and grew! The girl's hair was so long and spikey that Faven was sincerely worried about herself and their classmates! "Oh goodness!!! It looks...." frightening, painful, jagged, dangerous....."Interesting" Faven said cautiously, not wanting to insult the girl. Had she wanted this hair?

Nervous that her hair would turn out like her partner's, Faven thought extra hard on exactly what hair style she wanted before whispering, "Felintas." Faven felt the tingle of her scalp that was the indication of hair growth, or at least.....her hair should be growing. Faven opened her eyes and looked at the mirror she had laid in front of herself. Her mouth fell open and a small screech escaped her lips. Instead of the sleek straight hip length hair she had been hoping for, her hair now resembled that of her father's. It was shaved close to her head and Faven could have sworn she saw a bald spot in the back. "Wha...wha...WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!" Faven exclaimed.

I need to fix this, need to fix this!!! Ohh what was that reversal spell.....oh yes! "Intaris" she said, she couldn't have said the word fast enough. Faven let out a sigh of relief when she saw her hair grow back to its wavy, mid back wonderfulness that she had underappreciated.

With a shaky voice she said, "Well...ahhhh I'm going to see if I have better look with hair color...and then you can go!" Faven wasn't about to let this go sore after the terrible hair style fiasco. With deep concentration she focused on the wonderful sea blue she had in mind for her hair. Not the mossy green of the ocean, but the clear blue of the lake near her home back in Scotland. "Ristaris," she whispered, eyes still shut. With apprehension she opened her eyes, and a smile spread over her face as she looked at her hair in the mirror. It was just what she had been wanting, and she knew she would hate it when the color had to return to normal.

Alexia tried the first spell, Felintas. "okay.." holding the wand at ready, and spoke the incantation "FELINTAS." her hair turned VIOLET!! and it also grew longer. 'Ohhh.. it looks good on me' she thought to herself. then she got ready for the counter spell, which was Intaris. She held her wand up to her head and tapped it two times, just as Prof. Magnus said, then she spoke the incantation "INTARIS." Then she let go of a little scream, Her hair was HALF violet and HALF her original hair-color. she tried again, "INTARIS." at last she did it, her hair was back to normal again. 'Who knows, maybe that would come in handy', she said at the back of her mind and with a little grin on her face.

Okay, they could change their hair back now... "Intaris." The pencil curls loosened and grew a little until they were back to they're usual length... the curls were just a little bouncier than normal but... it looked good. So she left it.

However...

It was still black... and the ends still red... come on... she tried again.

Eventually she managed to get it back to normal and sat quietly, waiting for the lesson to finish so she could go and send the letter.

Jez tapped her head with her wand, relieved to finally be getting it back to normal. "Intaris." Her hair seemed to shrink back into her skull, returning to its usual length, the ends swinging at her hips. It had gone back to its normal jet black too. Jez couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. She could have got used to 3-metre-long bubblegum blue hair.

"Intaris!" Sierra said again, her eyes wide with slight fear. She tap, tapped on top of her head. Why wasn't her hair changing back?! Each time she tap, tapped, she pulled her mirror closer to her face to check and see if the blue had turned back to brown. What was she doing wrong?! "Intaris!" she said, with another tap, tap. She closed her eyes and pictured her oh-so-normal brown hair. Please, work. Please, work.

She pulled the mirror closer to her and released a breath she'd been holding in when she saw that natural shade of brown. Maybe she just hadn't been focusing enough...

Okay, so she'd been brown-headed, green-headed, and now blue-headed. Strange combination, but whatever. She lowered her wand and looked around the room, wondering if maybe, hopefully, the professor was going to let them transfigure themselves back to normal now.

She softly sighed when it seemed like there was no such luck. Ehh. Raising her wand, she tapped it once on top of her head. "Ris-TAR-is!" she said. This time, she pictured a purple color. She smirked to herself when she saw the purple hair in the mirror. It looked...pretty cool. Despite the fact that it was on clown hair.

"Not a problem, and that'll be fine. Just give me a little bit of time to lock up after you've all gone, and I'll be down to meet you." Isabelle gave the prefect a warm smile and nod of the head. Hopefully she'd be able to help calm some of whatever was making her so nervous lately.

On her way back up to the front to announce class over, Issy was stopped by a Hufflepuff with a question. Turning on her heels, she stood and listened, nodding along and ready to answer. "You can, but it's alot more difficult to achieve. The concentration required is immense to be that accurate, which is why it's generally easier to tap the top of your head and have the colour spread downwards from there,"she said with a smile.



But unfortunately the fun was over. Fun for her to witness anyway, she wasn't sure if they all thought that - judging by the faces on some of them when she told them the theme for the day. So at least now they could feel relief at being able to change back.

"Right then everyone, class is now over. You can all change yourselves back, wipe off your make up - I have some soft cloths over here for you to do that - and remove your costumes. If you could place those back in the trunks I'd appreciate it. Homework will be posted up on the board soon. Thank you all!"



OOC: I'll leave the thread open for another couple of hours so you can all wrap up whatever your character was doing.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Thea all but threw herself at the soft clothes. Her hair already back to normal, she began scrubbing the make-up off of her face. Once she was done, her face felt a lot lighter!!

Carefully folding up her costume, she placed it back in the trunk. Tossing the cloths she had used for her face in the bin, she returned to her seat to collect her things. Tossingher notes , wand and quill into her bag she turned to leave. [B]'thankyou Professor!'[/i]she called. One last wave, then she exited the classroom.

Jenny squinted her eyes. Which color...hm...light blue seems to be it. Yeah. She tried to visualize it in her head, but the image in her mind was blurry. Concentrate harder! Jenny scolded herself.

"Ristaris!" Jenny shouted as she tapped her head once. Boom. Her usually black hair became an ugly dark green and muddy brown mess. Jenny blinked. Oh no!

Quickly, Jenny tried to visualize her old black hair. "Intaris!" Tap. Tap. One second later, her old hair was back again. Okay, that was good. What???? That was just not enough practice time. Jenny gave a huge sigh as she took off her costume and returned it back to the trunk in the front, picking up a soft cloth on the way. As she wiped the make-up off her face, Jenny stopped. Her hair was still in an afro!

"Intaris!" Jenny whispered, tapping her head twice. Finally, her hair was back to normal. Picking up her bag, she turned to the front of the class. "That was actually an interesting class, Professor. Thank you." Jenny smiled sheepishly. Yeah, that was actually true...except for the make-up part. "Have a nice day!" Jenny gave the professor a small goodbye wave before walking out the door.

After removing her makeup and placing the costume in the trunk, Kynthia picked up her things and exited the classroom.
"Have a nice day Professor Magnus!" She said smiling politely to the Professor. That was fun she thought, on her way to the common room. She always wanted to see what she'd look like with different hair...

Jory tried different styles and colours on his head. Currently his hear was normal because he was thinking of a new combinations. Finally, he came up with one.
"Ristaris," Jory muttered tapping his head once and concentrating hard. He hoped he got this perfect. Sometimes the combinations came out right and sometimes they didn't. Grabbing the mirror on his table, Jory checked out his head. His hair was shocking bright green and each strand pointed in various directions.
Pleased with himself, Jory paused to watch his classmates as they changed their own hair into outrageous colours and styles, before he himself continued.

William changed his clothes. He wiped off his make-up. his hair is back to normal now. Great class.

Gideon found himself watching Selina play with her hair. Had she ever done that before? It seemed almost too girly for the girl in front of him. He shook his head clearing the thought from his mind and wondering what had gotten him to pay attention to such things. "Aye for certain," he replied in agreement to her thought on changing everything back once class was over, just barely registering it as he came back into focus.

The fourth year was about to say something about the costumes when the professor spoke up once more ending class. "Guess its too late for that," Gideon mused, inwardly grateful for the reprieve of having to dress up in the flashy clothes. The hair changes and makeup on the other hand hadn't been too bad after all. Taking his wand back out, he looked over at his noted on the counterspell for the changes and raised his wand to his head.

"Intaris..." he cast tapping his head twice as he thought on how he usually looked. The Gryffindor's curls soon returned to normal and he could feel them as he reached up with his opposite hand to check causing him to smile softly. However as he lowered both hands he wasn't aware the red still remained at least to some degree.

The class is finally over? Thank Merlin! She hates dressing up looking like a drunk squib with white paint on their faces! "Intaris," said Aiden clearly as she taps her wand twice on her head. Her hair returns back to its original form, but she'd like to get rid of the paint on top of all.

Walking towards the professor, she takes a piece of soft cloth and begins to wipe the paint off her face. Then, she takes off the ridiculous costume, putting in back into the trunk. As she grabs her bag and was at the exit, Aiden glances over at Professor Magnus. "Thanks for the lesson, professor," she said before leaving the classroom.

'This is so great,' Pixxi thought to herself, 'I'll be able to change my hair whenever I'd like.' She grinned wider than ever as she tapped her head twice and said the counter incantation for both the hair color and hair style. Immediately, her hair changed back to the long, curly red it had been before the lesson started. She hurriedly wiped away the face paint, still leaving some spots and smudges, but she was starving and decided to take a quick wash after she had eaten lunch. She changed into her normal clothes and folded the clown costume neatly and put it back into the trunk as Professor Magnus had requested.

She beamed towards the Professor and waved goodbye. This had definitely been a very good first lesson in Transfigurations. With white spots still covering parts of her face, she exited the Transfigurations room, smiling as she was thinking about her new favorite subject.

Kurumi smiled and bowed her head again in gratitude. She didn't even really have the heart to pretend to cast the counter spell to those she had fake-applied to her hair. She was sure that if she merely forgot about the fact that it had changed or thought about ice and ice cream it would revert back. Still, Kurumi took out her wand and tapped her head, whispering something that looked like she was saying the spell and her hair instantly began to grow long again. The color also began to fade back to black after a few moments.

And just in time.

Kurumi immediately began to pack her things up. Having completed that, Kurumi walked over and picked up a wet cloth to remove the make up from her face. Merlin, this white face paint didn't come off very easily. Taking much longer than she would have liked, Kurumi returned to her desk and made sure that everything she had borrowed was back in its proper place in the trunk.

Everything packed and ready, Kurumi turned to give Professor Magnus one last look. "Th-Thank you for the lesson, Professor," she said as she tugged on her now long black hair. "I'll be waiting at the lake." Probably with a good book or some other homework.

She then made a quick bow and exited the classroom.

Right. The lesson was over. And Hugo still looked rediculous. Would Scourgify work on his face? Or Tergeo. Yeah, Tergeo would probably work. "Tergeo," Hugo said, pointing his wand at his face and the face paint vanished. He changed his clothes back to his robes, packed up his bag and smiled at the professor. "I think I'm gonna leave my hair like this for a while," Hugo said, pointed at his red hair and smiled at professor Magnus. "Have a nice day, professor," he said and he walked out of the classroom, hoping to catch up with Kurumi.

Launna was relieved once she'd checked in the mirror that her hair had gone back to normal. Bubblegum pink was definitely not her colour. Now she had to sort out Penny's - it wouldn't do to have her looking like some kind of blue-haired Einstein for the rest of her life. Raising her wand and tapping it twice on Penny's head, she muttered 'Intaris.' The hair shot out and down, until it was the length that it had been to begin with. As the colour gradually changed back, Launna got a sort of electric shock feeling down her arm. Probably something to do with that weird static stuff. She shook her arm which had gone kind of numb and looked at Penny, relieved to see that she looked normal again. 'Pretty useful spell,' she laughed.

Louisa tapped her head twice murmuring, "Intaris." And the big lime-green hair was once again black, wavy long one. She went over to the desk where many cloths had been laid, took one and wiped her face. She was NOT going to keep this seaweed signature that lousy Ryden had given her. No way.

Slipping out of her clown costume the girl carried her bag and headed for the door giving the professor a FAKE smile, "Have a good day, Professor." And try to get us less-humiliating lessons, thank you.

Penny actually had fun in the class and was a little disappointed when Professor Magnus told them class was over...

Looking at Launna she said, "Thank you for being my partner this class - it really was fun".....

Penny packed up her belongings and was abut to leave the room when she turned and said, "Thanks for the great lesson Professor, see you next class"

Selina played at the curls on her head. Every time she pulled out the curl it would snap back to her head, but the curl seemed untouched. How did the curl do that? Something about the nature of curls simply fascinated Selina. Her blue eyes drifted from her hair to Gideon's face. He was staring at her. She touched her face and asked, "Do I have something on my face?" Besides her make up of course that Gideon had applied earlier.

She waited for him to answer her inquiry about the costumes when the Professor announced that class was over. She shrugged her shoulders and nodded at him, "Guess your right. Come on, let's get out of her." With that she drew her wand out and mumbled, "Ristaris. Intaris." Her blonde hair returned to its naturally red state and the curls flattened out to waves.

She collected her things to leave when she noticed that Gideon's hair was still red. Ahe let out a giggle and raised on her tip toes to touch his hair, "I think something is wrong her." She settles her feet back into the ground and looked up at him, "Your hair is atill red. Not that I don't appreciate we are a matching set... can you please change it back though."

Eino quickly changed his hair back to his original length and color, wiped off the paint on his face, and took off his clown costume. He folded it very neatly and placed it inside the trunk, together with the rest of them. He packed up all of his belongings very slowly and lazily then turned around and waved good-bye as he exited the classroom.

Interesting was one way to describe it. But not quite the word that Charner would have chosen for her partner's hair style.

She tried not to laugh. She honestly tried so hard not to. The girl didn't deserve the laughing component of that hairstyle, but she just couldn't help it. Snickers and giggles escaped her as she waved madly at her partner. "Nuuuuu leave it! It looked really, really good." Gigglesnortgiggle.

With a grin and giggles still abounding, and the class wrapping up, Charner picked up her wand once again and put her wand to her head. Another giggle-snort and she pressed her eyes closed, trying really hard to concentrate. "Ristaris."

There were a few more giggles before she opened her eyes. Really, given her amusement fit, she hadn't really expected it to work well at all. So there wasn't much surprise when she looked in the mirror. Just a lot of laughter. Now, along with her massive spiked hair, rather than the single teal blue she had intended, patches of blue in bright, brilliant hues that looked almost neon, stripped her hair all about her head. A holler of laughter left her as she dropped back in her chair.

Oh Merlin's great beard this class was AMAZING.

With a grin, she picked up one of the cleaning cloths and started rubbing her face free of the paint. Once that was done, she stood up and motioned her partner up so they could both change and head out. But before that, there was a very important question. "Professor, can we....keep out hair like this outside of class?"

Oh pretty please say they could.

Minerva cleaned up her face and got out of the costume. She was still frustrated that she wasn't getting the high lights she wanted. She came into class so frustrated with the entire wizarding thing. She wasn't getting spells right and nothing was working, but this class changed that she was able to change her hair so easily, until the streaks. She was so deep in thought she didn't even realize Justin and Harvey were asking her about their hair. "Thank you so much professor for this lesson." She went to walk out of the room, but stopped. "Oh Harvey your hair is blue and yellow.. nice" and she left alone.

"'Bye, William. Thanks for the help," Violet said when she saw her partner finishing up. Hmmm, maybe Gryffindors weren't so bad after all...

She had changed out of the ridiculous clothes and put her robes back on, and was now finally able to get her giggles under control. She had been working on taking off the stained-glass-like makeup she had put on earlier--she must have overdone it a little, because she was having trouble getting it all off, especially the blue and green. Her face was now clean except for a very faint greenish-blue tinge--Merlin, she looked like a victim of dragon pox!

Now, she only hoped she could change her hair back to normal. Intaris was the counterspell, the same one for both the hair length and hair colour. Maybe best to do one at a time. She concentrated on returning her frizzy curls to the straight, chin-length bob she had worn since she was a little girl, tapped herself twice on the head, and said, In-TAR-is!

But when she opened her eyes and looked in the mirror, she saw that even though her hair had returned to its normal length and shape, it had also changed colour (drat! she had made that mistake before at the beginning! what was she doing wrong?). Now she had chin-length dark brown hair that was still tinged with green. Although--she almost thought she rather like it that way.

"Intaris," Nora muttered right after professor Magnus had finished speaking. She was almost afraid to look again at her reflexion, but she let out a sigh of relief when she had seen that her hair was back to normal.

She also took off that silly costume and used a cloth to get rid of the make up. On her way to the door, she placed the costume back, and smiled at the woman. "Goodbye."

Hmm maybe she'll have some fun once in a while with those spells.
