Jesifur picked up her mirror and thought of her hair short and spiky. With all her concentration she tapped her own head and said "fel-in-tas". It shortened a bit but not enough to her satisfaction. Again concentrating hard she said "Fel-in-tas" imagining her hair short and spiky. Looking in the mirror she saw it shorten to a spiky length. Perfect! |
Kaiya, trying to be as concentrated as she could, pronounced the word perfectly! "Felintas!" Kaiya said as she cocentrated on bright teal blue poofy hair. As soon as she looked in the mirror she had collected from the professor, she squealed with joy! It was just as perfect and blue as she wanted it to be! It also matched perfectly iwht her face paint and costume. Haha, she really did look like a clown, Kaiya thought to herself. |
Ahh massive catch up! Anyone still need a partner? :3 Charner had to admit, this woman, had style. Serious style. While clowns weren't really her thing, experimenting and dressing up and just being all around goofy was just down her alley. Really, she couldn't wait to rub it in her brother's face how fun Hogwarts was and how boring his school was. So it was with much excitement that Charner gathered a face-paint kit and a blue clown costume with puffy sleeves and pants and gold stars littered ALL over it. Getting into the garment was a bit of a chore, given it kept twisting and knotting upon itself. And once it was on it was several sizes too big. A frown furrowed her brow as she looked down at herself and picked at the loose fabric. Sure, some of it was supposed to be loose, but this made her look like a balloon. Her eyes flicked about. Perhaps there was something she could stuff it with. The only items she could find were her books and her backpack, and given she didn't think the Professor, as fun as she was, would appreciate her tearing up her textbooks for stuffing, she tried a different approach. The costume came off again, the she drew her backpack on, except in such a way that the bulk was on her front. Then the costume was pulled back on for a much snugger fit. Perfecto! Then, it was onto the face paint. Charner listened to the Professor's instructions about the spells as she considered the colors she had before her. It was almost perfect timing that she received the mirror. It would work just as well for her hair as her face. And as for her face, it was going to be black, like the night sky. Base first, details later. ...And it was only then, when she started realizing how hard it was to paint one's own face. Perhaps it was why she had never used makeup before. People were liable to poke their eyes out with such an awkward, backhanded activity. Frown. Concentrate. Slow and deliberate movements. |
Minerva was really enjoying this lesson. She sat down at her seat alone again and held up the mirror. Her hair was still curly. She held up her wand. Int-ar-is and her hair went back to the normal straight shoulder length she was use to seeing. Minerva shut her eyes lifted her wand again Fel-in-tas. Her hair grew to the floor. Minerva laughed. This was so much fun. Int-ar-is her hair went back to normal. Now lets try Fel-in-tas her hair moved to a very short spiked look. hmm not so much Minerva thought and quickly changed it back Int-ar-is. Minerva decided she really liked the curly hair so she went back to that Fel-in-tas. Now she was wondering if they could start trying the colors... |

Then Arya came to join them. "Only if i can draw a..." what did he know how to draw...? "a duck on your face." he said. Yup. Having two partners would be fun. He scooted over to allow the girl more room to get to Destiny. Then, dipping the brush in black he drew a big puffy swiggly-line ball on Destiny's face. Then he added a smaller puff ball. He put little eyes on the sheep and little legs. "There." he said happily. Destiny now had a sheep on her face. He smirked and then added a big "BAHHHH!" across the rest of her check. "And now the sheep talks!" |
Minerva shot her hand up.. "Um professor how do people know they are a Metamorphmagus?" Minerva was so interested in this class. She liked her other classes, but none had drawn her in like this one. |

When had the weird obsession started with bees? Marilyn couldn't remember. It seemed like no time had passed when Evelyn chimed in that she was finished. Evie had always been known as an artist...So, Marilyn imagined they looked beautiful. She hoped she could do these butterflies justice... Now, for Evelyn...She'd said the RED butterflies would be nice, so Marilyn looked at the paints, selecting a deep red, black, white, and some shiny, metallic gold paint... Looking back to the Head Girl, she grinned, "You are ready to start?" Taking her silence as a confirmation, the blonde began. She was thankful that the girl had chosen something simple. It was difficult to mess up butterflies... Starting at Evie's right cheek bone, she outlined some tiny wings with the black paint, doing 3 or so in a cluster. Moving to the other side, she got an idea and asked Evie to close her left eye. Dipping into more black paint, she made one large size pair of wings, the bottom brushing the lower cheek and the top folding up over the eyebrow. Marilyn thought it looked cool, anyway... Grouping some tiny butterflies around the one larger one, she decided it was time add color. Grabbing the deep red, she filled in a majority of the wings, leaving the smallest ones surrounding the big one blank. The white came next...and she didn't do much with it but to accent some of the red...What the blonde was more excited about was the shiny metallic paint. This would be what set it off. With a regular and fine tipped brush, she went to work, filling in the smallest wings and accent the giant piece over the girl's eye. When she pulled back, she was slightly tempted to sign this piece of art. (*chortle*) "Viola!" Yea, she was excited about her honey bees and she wanted Evie to like her Joshua-themed buttery-FLIES! |

After a few minutes, he opened up his eyes. All of a sudden, she began ranting about a heart and motherly love...WHAT?! "You painted a heart on me?!" Oh, no. Moments later, she requested his name. Perhaps he should give an alias... "I'm Romulan...?" But the girl kept going on and on about yin and yang and other things. And a flower. A FLOWER WAS PAINTED ON HIM. Great. Now his right eye looked like some deformed monochrome circle while the left eye looked like the enter of a deformed flower. Let's not forget the ridiculous moustache she supposedly painted on him and of course, a goatee. Though, a goatee didn't sound too bad, just as long as it matched his hair. He wanted to look in the mirror but two things stopped him. First, he was frightened what he might have looked like and second, the girl was already pushing him to do her make-up. "Alright, alright! I'm on it." Rory had intended to do something absurd in retaliation but somehow, he had a much more creative idea in mind and let his artistic mind take over. How unusual. After several minutes perfecting his work, he was done. Sighing, he took a long look at his beautiful masterpiece and nodded approvingly. Nothing could beat this paint job. "So, what's next?" Rory looked over at the chalkboard to see that directions for the two spells had been written out. He recalled the professor saying something about it but he was too busy focusing on his nightmarish face painting experience. "I suppose spells are next? I mean, for our hair?" He hoped she wouldn't go berserk over that, too. So far, this girl was the most frightening person he had ever met. |
Satisfied with the face paint she had done for Eino, Kurumi returned her attention to her wand and slowly picked it up. Just a tap on the head, that is all that it took. Kurumi swallowed and tapped her head with her wand, not really thinking about the spell or performing it, but more about the entire topic of the class. What she wouldn't give for a distraction... Quote:
Kurumi slowly turned her head towards the first year Puff and smiled nervously. "Sometimes they don't know," she said softly. "When Metamorphs begin showing signs of their abilities, they can be mistaken as a young witch or wizard just showing signs of magic." She was dancing awfully close to personal experience here, but was trying her best to keep things scientific. "After a while though, they may begin to realize that the changes in hair color...orphysicalappearance...are connected to their emotions." She had to add that second option in there. She hadn't had any physical features change, but her hair certainly was a major factor. She leaned back in her seat a bit and looked back at her wand. "Fel-in-tas...Fel-in-tas..." she whispered as she tapped her wand on an invisible head in front of her. |
SPOILER!!: Arya & Carter!! Well.. she supposed that was a good thing. She didn't want Carter to be drawing a deformed looking sheep, with two heads on her face. She had seen one of those up close and personal the day she and Evelyn had tried to conjure them, and she had to admit, it was the freakiest thing she had ever seen in her life. And the worst part, both heads 'baa'd!' It was creepy! Sighing in relief, Destiny waited rather impatiently for him to start painting her face. She was too excited for what she was going to paint on him.. but something she was not excited for, was Arya joining them. Her eye peeked open, and watching as she sat down, she gave a shrug before closing her eye again. Carter better make sure she really did draw a sheep on the other side.. Destiny might have given him a small kick in the shin, just so he knew to watch her. "And if he gets to draw a duck on your face, I get to draw a.." She desperately wanted to say raccoon, but she was going to be nice. "..cat." Because she knew how to draw stick figure cats. Resisting the urge to giggle as Carter painted her face, because it tickled, she kept her eyes closed as she waited for her other cheek to get painted. And yeah, she decided to ignore Carter when he said the sheep talks. She didn't even want to know.. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny and Carter "If you get to draw a duck on my face, I get to draw a..." Arya thought about this for a moment, and the limited number of animals she could draw. "A cow." She could draw that. Sorta. Drawing wasn't something Arya was particularly gifted at. The thought that Destiny would get to draw on her face hasn't occurred to her. Maybe it wouldn't be wise to paint chickens on her face. "You can draw a cat." If she HAD to. The prefect picked up a paint brush and began to paint the other side of Destiny's face. "I'm gonna draw a... dog on this cheek instead." Dogs were easy. It took her longer than Carter, because drawing was not easy, but she soon had what looked like a slightly overweight dog on her face. Meh, she should have went with the sheep. "There. Done, and..." She added a large 'BARK!' under the brown dog. "Now he speaks too." |

Oh NO. Once professor Magnus mentioned that carnival around Diagon Alley, Nora knew exactly what they were about to do, and also what the spells were going to learn. ... and then she did it. She changed her hair into that creepy red and curly clown hair. Noooo no no no no. Nora was so not going to do that with her precious hair. However, she took one of those ugly costumes and some make up, but she couldn't really find a partner, since everything seemed to move around super fast. Quote:
And yes. She knew she looked terrible. Now, the spell. Nora took a deep breath. What if she'll destroy her hair?! Deep breath. "Felintas," she muttered, concentrating on what she wanted. Hesitantly, she held up her mirror and her eyes went wide when she'd seen her auburn hair, which was a bit curly as well, but still the normal length. It looked like a rather grumpy version of the professor's red afro. |
wowzers look at this class goooo xD and anyone need a partner VM me Salander had a totally amused grin on his face as he looked around at all the colorful make-up and hair around him. He was actually more content to watch the transformations but he knew at some point he has to get up and do something for the Professor to check on. He finally neared the face paint and glanced randomly grabbed a clown outfit before heading back to his seat. Now to try that spell.... He didnt have a mirror on hand so he just grabbed the aviators Lexi gave him and used it as a makeshift mirror. He ran his fingers through his hair deciding that that was the first thing that needs to be done "Felintas." he uttered as he tapped his head once. It didnt look like it made any difference. Then again he wasnt quite visualizing what kind of style he wanted. He looked up and glanced at the other guys in class. Hmm, he's not sure if he wanted to go the afro path though. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny and Arya! Carter rubbed his shin as Destiny kicked him. "What was that for?" he asked. "You better be glad I was done writing on your face." Because if he wasn't the sheep might have said "Bah--------------~" Or something like that. "Deal." he said to Arya. He peered over her shoulder and watched as the Prefect pained a fat thing on Destiny's other cheek. "Are you sure that's a dog?" he asked. Because to him it looked like a whale with feet. Maybe he shouldn't have agreed so quickly to the badge drawing on his face. Surely whatever she did Destiny would be able to fix, right? "Alright. Who's next then?" he asked looking between the two girls. |
This... was freaking... ...ridiculous. Clown make-up was ugly. And itchy. And Sierra didn't want to be wearing it. It was too happy-happy-happy-joy-joy, and it made her want to go find a real clown and kick him in the shin. With a frown, she stood and retrieved a mirror, giving the professor a not-too-pleased look as she did so. Mirror in one hand and wand in the other, she began to picture herself with that same type of clown hair the professor had transfigured before. Ew. Ew, ew, ewww. She held her wand over her head, lowered it, then tapped once on the crown area. "Felintas!" she said. She squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the tugging on her scalp. Her hair was pulling inward. She was afraid to even look at it. Ugh. She peered into the mirror, and her eyes immediately flew wide open. Dear Merlin! No, no, no, no, no. Time to go back. Sorry, clown hair. With two taps on her head, she said, "Intaris!" She pictured herself just as she'd been before. She felt another tug, but this time, it was her hair growing back to the way it originally was. She hated this activity. Clowns were for Hufflepuffs! |
We're going to be clowns?! Lana didn't like the idea. Clowns freaked her out. And now she was going to be one?! This assignment made her cringe. Since it is her first year though, Lana didn't want to make a bad impression with her teacher. She got up from her seat and went to pick up face paint and a costume. Great, I'm probably going to be the only one without a partner. She pulled her costume over her clothes and started to look for a partner. Hmm, is there anyone I know in here? Lana looked around and saw one person who seemed like they didn't have a partner. The Head Boy. What do I've got to lose? Lana walked up to him and said, "Umm.. hey!" she smiled. "Do you mind if I partner up with you?" |
Want to be partners? Also catching up! Quote:

Already have a partner, but I think I can help if needed... Jenny was struggling. Really struggling to cast the spell properly. So far, she managed to look like a silly masked chicken with her new mohawk. How embarrassng. She squinted. After finding a visual of her hairstyle in her mind, Jenny tapped her wand twice on her head. "Intaris!" A tiny flash, then her medium-length hair came back. Alright. Next, an afro popped up. Hm, better than that ugly mohawk. With that clear picture in mine, she whispered, "Felintas." Tap. Jenny quickly turned to look at her mirror. All she saw was a yellow-striped clown at a disco bar...but it wasn't bad. Not bad at all. Yes! Jenny wondered what would Nathan feel about her new hair style. |
SPOILER!!: Arya and Carter! Destiny had to hold back the snort of laughter that wanted to escape when Arya mentioned painting a cow on Carter's face. That was actually a better idea than what she was planning on drawing on him. But she wouldn't mention that. Although.. it did give her an even better idea! She peeked an eye open once more and used it to glare at Carter. It wasn't a very intimidating glare, it was only one eye after all, but hopefully it got the point across. He was just lucky she was in the middle of having a dog painted on her face, or else she would have kicked him again. Or was it a dog? Merlin, she needed one of those mirrors.. A mirror that she forgot about completely once Carter asked who was next, and grinning over at Arya, she leaned closer to the girl and whispered into her ear. Yeah, it was kind of weird.. whispering to Arya, but it was important! It wasn't going to leave the Transfiguration classroom either. Once it was settled what they were going to do, Destiny turned back to Carter, and closing his eyes for him, she picked up a paintbrush. "You're next!" she said, and dipping the paintbrush into the paint, she got to work on decorating his face. He was going to look AWESOME! |

"Want to be partners? We can paint each others faces" she said before adding "I have to warn you though I'm terrible at art." she laughed slightly, but sadly it really was true. |

Then she plopped herself down in a seat and pulled Gideon down into the seat next to her. Without even waiting for a response she said, "Be still." With that she started to apply the paint to his face. It was just like one of her sketches. She drew the lines with precision and a sense of comfort. There was always something about art that made Selina concentrate. It was like she was moved to draw or paint from somewhere deep within herself. For several minutes she applied the paint to his face until she was satisfied. She pulled away from him and said, "Done." Then she handed him a mirror and said, "What do you think? And its your turn." |
That would be awesomepants! :D Lol poor Faven Quote:
Blinking, she looked at the first year. "Uhm...." Charner's eyes flicked back to the mirror and she blinked again. Oh dear lice of Merlin's beard, she looked hideous. And she couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous she appeared. It was a good thing she was going to paint her whole face black. "That would be fantastic." Turning to the first year, she held out the make-up kit and then paused. A seat would be good. Shifting about, she held the kit in one hand and grabbed a chair with the other, pulling it beside her and patting the seat. Then the kit would be offered. "...Kinda hard to dress up as a clown, when all the clothes are ten sizes too big, huh?" Yes, she had noticed the baggyness of the girl's costume. And well, she had a backpack strapped to her front under the costume just to give it a bit of solid volume. So there was that. "Did you want your face painted too? I'll admit I'm not the best at art but I'll do my darndest." |
SPOILER!!: Bwahaha! Arya didn't notice the kick until Carter has said something, and even though she did, she wasn't able look over at him cause she was finishing off the dog thing that she has painted. Leaning back to admire her artwork, she frowned slightly at Carter's words. "Of course it's a dog, see?" She pointed at the fat thing. "That's the tail, and there's the head." She could see it, but she wasn't sure if everyone else could. Next time she was painting with magic. Instinct told her to lean away from Destiny when she leaned in to whisper in her ear, but the reminder that she wouldn't pull anything in the class kept her still and listening to the idea. Despite how weird this was, she couldn't help but agree to the idea. It was good! And she could draw that perfectly. Nodding her head in agreement, she cleaned off her paintbrush and dipped it back into the paint starting on Carter's face with Destiny. Her and Destiny working together, who would've thunk it. |
Holding up the mirror, Mina continued on painting her face one solid colour, just a thin layer of white. She really wasn't about to go crazy with it just yet. Simple would do her just fine at the moment. If she felt the urge to say paint a dinosaur or turtle on her face, she would do it; at the moment, she didn't though. The thought of it just brought back memories of a lion she once painted on her cheek. Yes, simple would do for now. Looking at herself, she frowned slightly with the paintbrush in her hand. Lion!Boy would have loved this and then she would have had a partner. She was sure he would have painted something pretty epic on her face and she wouldn't have cared at all. She did miss him so. Sighing, she pushed for[ward and worked on the red around her lips and on her cheekbones. Seriously, she didn't want to look like a complete fool. The costume still sat beside her mocking her. Okay, she knew that she would have to don it, but she didn't want to do it yet. No, she would seriously hold out as long as she possible could. |
oh dear I'm all late D: Hm. So he was wrong? That was not good. He didn't like to be wrong. The entire class was probably laughing at him. Gah. They were going to become CLOWNS? :whaa: Okay, that was... Embarrassing. Well, Hugo did always want to dye his hair red. It was quite cool, red hair. And red looked good on Magnus too. They had to wear COSTUMES O_____o How even more embarrasing. They did have music notes on them. Which looked cool. Hugo liked music. He liked to play music. What if he transfigured a musical instrument, like in that one lesson, and he could play the notes on the clothes? He'd have to do that. That sounded awesome. He looked at the people moving around. Oh, they had to put it on now? He could make art out of his face... His face was already a work of art though. He still didn't know if he really wanted to do this. At least it was fun...ish? He walked over to the make up thingy and painted his face. It had to look cute, not redicilous. He'd transform himself into some kind of cat-clown thing. That'd be awesome. After putting on the make-up, he looked at his face in the mirror. Hm, not bad. Now the costume... He was NOT looking forward to that. He liked his robes, why did he have to put on this ugly costume? Ducking away in a quiet corner, he put on the costume. Wow. That was... Something. Now for the fun part. Spells! He had to change his hair? But... His hair was so perfect. He didn't want to change it. It was too awesome. Although he could use a haircut. So maybe just... Shorter? And maybe lose the He was confident that it'd work now. He closed his eyes and concentrated. "Felintas!" he said, tapping on his head once. He opened his eyes, and lo and behold. The perfect So. Try again. "Intaris!" he said, tapped twice on his head and concentrated how he looked before. Ah, that was it. His pretty hair. Okay, now he could imagine another one. "Felintas!" he said, tapping his head. OMG THAT LOOKED SO UGLY. Nononono. No way he was going to wear that hair. "Intaris!" he quickly said, focusing on the hair he used to have. Again. "Felintas!" and there, in the mirror appeared a very crazy hairdo. Ugh, this hair stuff was making him all self-concious. He looked oh so very ugly with that hair. Maybe he just wanted it shorter. "Intaris." he said and tapped his head twice. Shorter. Shorter. Shorter. "Felintas." Tap. TOO SHORT :whaa: Oh, hair was really important to Hugo, did anyone notice that? He changed his haircut back and focused on a better shorter cut. "Felintas!" Alright, that looked okay. Maybe he'd change it after he changed the colour. "Professor..." he asked. "Can't we change it around without changing it back to our regular hair inbetween?" he asked. |
