Jesifur picked up her mirror and thought of her hair short and spiky. With all her concentration she tapped her own head and said "fel-in-tas". It shortened a bit but not enough to her satisfaction. Again concentrating hard she said "Fel-in-tas" imagining her hair short and spiky. Looking in the mirror she saw it shorten to a spiky length. Perfect! |
Kaiya, trying to be as concentrated as she could, pronounced the word perfectly! "Felintas!" Kaiya said as she cocentrated on bright teal blue poofy hair. As soon as she looked in the mirror she had collected from the professor, she squealed with joy! It was just as perfect and blue as she wanted it to be! It also matched perfectly iwht her face paint and costume. Haha, she really did look like a clown, Kaiya thought to herself. |
Ahh massive catch up! Anyone still need a partner? :3 Charner had to admit, this woman, had style. Serious style. While clowns weren't really her thing, experimenting and dressing up and just being all around goofy was just down her alley. Really, she couldn't wait to rub it in her brother's face how fun Hogwarts was and how boring his school was. So it was with much excitement that Charner gathered a face-paint kit and a blue clown costume with puffy sleeves and pants and gold stars littered ALL over it. Getting into the garment was a bit of a chore, given it kept twisting and knotting upon itself. And once it was on it was several sizes too big. A frown furrowed her brow as she looked down at herself and picked at the loose fabric. Sure, some of it was supposed to be loose, but this made her look like a balloon. Her eyes flicked about. Perhaps there was something she could stuff it with. The only items she could find were her books and her backpack, and given she didn't think the Professor, as fun as she was, would appreciate her tearing up her textbooks for stuffing, she tried a different approach. The costume came off again, the she drew her backpack on, except in such a way that the bulk was on her front. Then the costume was pulled back on for a much snugger fit. Perfecto! Then, it was onto the face paint. Charner listened to the Professor's instructions about the spells as she considered the colors she had before her. It was almost perfect timing that she received the mirror. It would work just as well for her hair as her face. And as for her face, it was going to be black, like the night sky. Base first, details later. ...And it was only then, when she started realizing how hard it was to paint one's own face. Perhaps it was why she had never used makeup before. People were liable to poke their eyes out with such an awkward, backhanded activity. Frown. Concentrate. Slow and deliberate movements. |
Minerva was really enjoying this lesson. She sat down at her seat alone again and held up the mirror. Her hair was still curly. She held up her wand. Int-ar-is and her hair went back to the normal straight shoulder length she was use to seeing. Minerva shut her eyes lifted her wand again Fel-in-tas. Her hair grew to the floor. Minerva laughed. This was so much fun. Int-ar-is her hair went back to normal. Now lets try Fel-in-tas her hair moved to a very short spiked look. hmm not so much Minerva thought and quickly changed it back Int-ar-is. Minerva decided she really liked the curly hair so she went back to that Fel-in-tas. Now she was wondering if they could start trying the colors... |

Then Arya came to join them. "Only if i can draw a..." what did he know how to draw...? "a duck on your face." he said. Yup. Having two partners would be fun. He scooted over to allow the girl more room to get to Destiny. Then, dipping the brush in black he drew a big puffy swiggly-line ball on Destiny's face. Then he added a smaller puff ball. He put little eyes on the sheep and little legs. "There." he said happily. Destiny now had a sheep on her face. He smirked and then added a big "BAHHHH!" across the rest of her check. "And now the sheep talks!" |
Minerva shot her hand up.. "Um professor how do people know they are a Metamorphmagus?" Minerva was so interested in this class. She liked her other classes, but none had drawn her in like this one. |

When had the weird obsession started with bees? Marilyn couldn't remember. It seemed like no time had passed when Evelyn chimed in that she was finished. Evie had always been known as an artist...So, Marilyn imagined they looked beautiful. She hoped she could do these butterflies justice... Now, for Evelyn...She'd said the RED butterflies would be nice, so Marilyn looked at the paints, selecting a deep red, black, white, and some shiny, metallic gold paint... Looking back to the Head Girl, she grinned, "You are ready to start?" Taking her silence as a confirmation, the blonde began. She was thankful that the girl had chosen something simple. It was difficult to mess up butterflies... Starting at Evie's right cheek bone, she outlined some tiny wings with the black paint, doing 3 or so in a cluster. Moving to the other side, she got an idea and asked Evie to close her left eye. Dipping into more black paint, she made one large size pair of wings, the bottom brushing the lower cheek and the top folding up over the eyebrow. Marilyn thought it looked cool, anyway... Grouping some tiny butterflies around the one larger one, she decided it was time add color. Grabbing the deep red, she filled in a majority of the wings, leaving the smallest ones surrounding the big one blank. The white came next...and she didn't do much with it but to accent some of the red...What the blonde was more excited about was the shiny metallic paint. This would be what set it off. With a regular and fine tipped brush, she went to work, filling in the smallest wings and accent the giant piece over the girl's eye. When she pulled back, she was slightly tempted to sign this piece of art. (*chortle*) "Viola!" Yea, she was excited about her honey bees and she wanted Evie to like her Joshua-themed buttery-FLIES! |

After a few minutes, he opened up his eyes. All of a sudden, she began ranting about a heart and motherly love...WHAT?! "You painted a heart on me?!" Oh, no. Moments later, she requested his name. Perhaps he should give an alias... "I'm Romulan...?" But the girl kept going on and on about yin and yang and other things. And a flower. A FLOWER WAS PAINTED ON HIM. Great. Now his right eye looked like some deformed monochrome circle while the left eye looked like the enter of a deformed flower. Let's not forget the ridiculous moustache she supposedly painted on him and of course, a goatee. Though, a goatee didn't sound too bad, just as long as it matched his hair. He wanted to look in the mirror but two things stopped him. First, he was frightened what he might have looked like and second, the girl was already pushing him to do her make-up. "Alright, alright! I'm on it." Rory had intended to do something absurd in retaliation but somehow, he had a much more creative idea in mind and let his artistic mind take over. How unusual. After several minutes perfecting his work, he was done. Sighing, he took a long look at his beautiful masterpiece and nodded approvingly. Nothing could beat this paint job. "So, what's next?" Rory looked over at the chalkboard to see that directions for the two spells had been written out. He recalled the professor saying something about it but he was too busy focusing on his nightmarish face painting experience. "I suppose spells are next? I mean, for our hair?" He hoped she wouldn't go berserk over that, too. So far, this girl was the most frightening person he had ever met. |
Satisfied with the face paint she had done for Eino, Kurumi returned her attention to her wand and slowly picked it up. Just a tap on the head, that is all that it took. Kurumi swallowed and tapped her head with her wand, not really thinking about the spell or performing it, but more about the entire topic of the class. What she wouldn't give for a distraction... Quote:
Kurumi slowly turned her head towards the first year Puff and smiled nervously. "Sometimes they don't know," she said softly. "When Metamorphs begin showing signs of their abilities, they can be mistaken as a young witch or wizard just showing signs of magic." She was dancing awfully close to personal experience here, but was trying her best to keep things scientific. "After a while though, they may begin to realize that the changes in hair color...orphysicalappearance...are connected to their emotions." She had to add that second option in there. She hadn't had any physical features change, but her hair certainly was a major factor. She leaned back in her seat a bit and looked back at her wand. "Fel-in-tas...Fel-in-tas..." she whispered as she tapped her wand on an invisible head in front of her. |
SPOILER!!: Arya & Carter!! Well.. she supposed that was a good thing. She didn't want Carter to be drawing a deformed looking sheep, with two heads on her face. She had seen one of those up close and personal the day she and Evelyn had tried to conjure them, and she had to admit, it was the freakiest thing she had ever seen in her life. And the worst part, both heads 'baa'd!' It was creepy! Sighing in relief, Destiny waited rather impatiently for him to start painting her face. She was too excited for what she was going to paint on him.. but something she was not excited for, was Arya joining them. Her eye peeked open, and watching as she sat down, she gave a shrug before closing her eye again. Carter better make sure she really did draw a sheep on the other side.. Destiny might have given him a small kick in the shin, just so he knew to watch her. "And if he gets to draw a duck on your face, I get to draw a.." She desperately wanted to say raccoon, but she was going to be nice. "..cat." Because she knew how to draw stick figure cats. Resisting the urge to giggle as Carter painted her face, because it tickled, she kept her eyes closed as she waited for her other cheek to get painted. And yeah, she decided to ignore Carter when he said the sheep talks. She didn't even want to know.. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny and Carter "If you get to draw a duck on my face, I get to draw a..." Arya thought about this for a moment, and the limited number of animals she could draw. "A cow." She could draw that. Sorta. Drawing wasn't something Arya was particularly gifted at. The thought that Destiny would get to draw on her face hasn't occurred to her. Maybe it wouldn't be wise to paint chickens on her face. "You can draw a cat." If she HAD to. The prefect picked up a paint brush and began to paint the other side of Destiny's face. "I'm gonna draw a... dog on this cheek instead." Dogs were easy. It took her longer than Carter, because drawing was not easy, but she soon had what looked like a slightly overweight dog on her face. Meh, she should have went with the sheep. "There. Done, and..." She added a large 'BARK!' under the brown dog. "Now he speaks too." |

Oh NO. Once professor Magnus mentioned that carnival around Diagon Alley, Nora knew exactly what they were about to do, and also what the spells were going to learn. ... and then she did it. She changed her hair into that creepy red and curly clown hair. Noooo no no no no. Nora was so not going to do that with her precious hair. However, she took one of those ugly costumes and some make up, but she couldn't really find a partner, since everything seemed to move around super fast. Quote:
And yes. She knew she looked terrible. Now, the spell. Nora took a deep breath. What if she'll destroy her hair?! Deep breath. "Felintas," she muttered, concentrating on what she wanted. Hesitantly, she held up her mirror and her eyes went wide when she'd seen her auburn hair, which was a bit curly as well, but still the normal length. It looked like a rather grumpy version of the professor's red afro. |
wowzers look at this class goooo xD and anyone need a partner VM me Salander had a totally amused grin on his face as he looked around at all the colorful make-up and hair around him. He was actually more content to watch the transformations but he knew at some point he has to get up and do something for the Professor to check on. He finally neared the face paint and glanced randomly grabbed a clown outfit before heading back to his seat. Now to try that spell.... He didnt have a mirror on hand so he just grabbed the aviators Lexi gave him and used it as a makeshift mirror. He ran his fingers through his hair deciding that that was the first thing that needs to be done "Felintas." he uttered as he tapped his head once. It didnt look like it made any difference. Then again he wasnt quite visualizing what kind of style he wanted. He looked up and glanced at the other guys in class. Hmm, he's not sure if he wanted to go the afro path though. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny and Arya! Carter rubbed his shin as Destiny kicked him. "What was that for?" he asked. "You better be glad I was done writing on your face." Because if he wasn't the sheep might have said "Bah--------------~" Or something like that. "Deal." he said to Arya. He peered over her shoulder and watched as the Prefect pained a fat thing on Destiny's other cheek. "Are you sure that's a dog?" he asked. Because to him it looked like a whale with feet. Maybe he shouldn't have agreed so quickly to the badge drawing on his face. Surely whatever she did Destiny would be able to fix, right? "Alright. Who's next then?" he asked looking between the two girls. |
This... was freaking... ...ridiculous. Clown make-up was ugly. And itchy. And Sierra didn't want to be wearing it. It was too happy-happy-happy-joy-joy, and it made her want to go find a real clown and kick him in the shin. With a frown, she stood and retrieved a mirror, giving the professor a not-too-pleased look as she did so. Mirror in one hand and wand in the other, she began to picture herself with that same type of clown hair the professor had transfigured before. Ew. Ew, ew, ewww. She held her wand over her head, lowered it, then tapped once on the crown area. "Felintas!" she said. She squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the tugging on her scalp. Her hair was pulling inward. She was afraid to even look at it. Ugh. She peered into the mirror, and her eyes immediately flew wide open. Dear Merlin! No, no, no, no, no. Time to go back. Sorry, clown hair. With two taps on her head, she said, "Intaris!" She pictured herself just as she'd been before. She felt another tug, but this time, it was her hair growing back to the way it originally was. She hated this activity. Clowns were for Hufflepuffs! |
We're going to be clowns?! Lana didn't like the idea. Clowns freaked her out. And now she was going to be one?! This assignment made her cringe. Since it is her first year though, Lana didn't want to make a bad impression with her teacher. She got up from her seat and went to pick up face paint and a costume. Great, I'm probably going to be the only one without a partner. She pulled her costume over her clothes and started to look for a partner. Hmm, is there anyone I know in here? Lana looked around and saw one person who seemed like they didn't have a partner. The Head Boy. What do I've got to lose? Lana walked up to him and said, "Umm.. hey!" she smiled. "Do you mind if I partner up with you?" |
Want to be partners? Also catching up! Quote:

Already have a partner, but I think I can help if needed... Jenny was struggling. Really struggling to cast the spell properly. So far, she managed to look like a silly masked chicken with her new mohawk. How embarrassng. She squinted. After finding a visual of her hairstyle in her mind, Jenny tapped her wand twice on her head. "Intaris!" A tiny flash, then her medium-length hair came back. Alright. Next, an afro popped up. Hm, better than that ugly mohawk. With that clear picture in mine, she whispered, "Felintas." Tap. Jenny quickly turned to look at her mirror. All she saw was a yellow-striped clown at a disco bar...but it wasn't bad. Not bad at all. Yes! Jenny wondered what would Nathan feel about her new hair style. |
SPOILER!!: Arya and Carter! Destiny had to hold back the snort of laughter that wanted to escape when Arya mentioned painting a cow on Carter's face. That was actually a better idea than what she was planning on drawing on him. But she wouldn't mention that. Although.. it did give her an even better idea! She peeked an eye open once more and used it to glare at Carter. It wasn't a very intimidating glare, it was only one eye after all, but hopefully it got the point across. He was just lucky she was in the middle of having a dog painted on her face, or else she would have kicked him again. Or was it a dog? Merlin, she needed one of those mirrors.. A mirror that she forgot about completely once Carter asked who was next, and grinning over at Arya, she leaned closer to the girl and whispered into her ear. Yeah, it was kind of weird.. whispering to Arya, but it was important! It wasn't going to leave the Transfiguration classroom either. Once it was settled what they were going to do, Destiny turned back to Carter, and closing his eyes for him, she picked up a paintbrush. "You're next!" she said, and dipping the paintbrush into the paint, she got to work on decorating his face. He was going to look AWESOME! |

"Want to be partners? We can paint each others faces" she said before adding "I have to warn you though I'm terrible at art." she laughed slightly, but sadly it really was true. |

Then she plopped herself down in a seat and pulled Gideon down into the seat next to her. Without even waiting for a response she said, "Be still." With that she started to apply the paint to his face. It was just like one of her sketches. She drew the lines with precision and a sense of comfort. There was always something about art that made Selina concentrate. It was like she was moved to draw or paint from somewhere deep within herself. For several minutes she applied the paint to his face until she was satisfied. She pulled away from him and said, "Done." Then she handed him a mirror and said, "What do you think? And its your turn." |
That would be awesomepants! :D Lol poor Faven Quote:
Blinking, she looked at the first year. "Uhm...." Charner's eyes flicked back to the mirror and she blinked again. Oh dear lice of Merlin's beard, she looked hideous. And she couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous she appeared. It was a good thing she was going to paint her whole face black. "That would be fantastic." Turning to the first year, she held out the make-up kit and then paused. A seat would be good. Shifting about, she held the kit in one hand and grabbed a chair with the other, pulling it beside her and patting the seat. Then the kit would be offered. "...Kinda hard to dress up as a clown, when all the clothes are ten sizes too big, huh?" Yes, she had noticed the baggyness of the girl's costume. And well, she had a backpack strapped to her front under the costume just to give it a bit of solid volume. So there was that. "Did you want your face painted too? I'll admit I'm not the best at art but I'll do my darndest." |
SPOILER!!: Bwahaha! Arya didn't notice the kick until Carter has said something, and even though she did, she wasn't able look over at him cause she was finishing off the dog thing that she has painted. Leaning back to admire her artwork, she frowned slightly at Carter's words. "Of course it's a dog, see?" She pointed at the fat thing. "That's the tail, and there's the head." She could see it, but she wasn't sure if everyone else could. Next time she was painting with magic. Instinct told her to lean away from Destiny when she leaned in to whisper in her ear, but the reminder that she wouldn't pull anything in the class kept her still and listening to the idea. Despite how weird this was, she couldn't help but agree to the idea. It was good! And she could draw that perfectly. Nodding her head in agreement, she cleaned off her paintbrush and dipped it back into the paint starting on Carter's face with Destiny. Her and Destiny working together, who would've thunk it. |
Holding up the mirror, Mina continued on painting her face one solid colour, just a thin layer of white. She really wasn't about to go crazy with it just yet. Simple would do her just fine at the moment. If she felt the urge to say paint a dinosaur or turtle on her face, she would do it; at the moment, she didn't though. The thought of it just brought back memories of a lion she once painted on her cheek. Yes, simple would do for now. Looking at herself, she frowned slightly with the paintbrush in her hand. Lion!Boy would have loved this and then she would have had a partner. She was sure he would have painted something pretty epic on her face and she wouldn't have cared at all. She did miss him so. Sighing, she pushed for[ward and worked on the red around her lips and on her cheekbones. Seriously, she didn't want to look like a complete fool. The costume still sat beside her mocking her. Okay, she knew that she would have to don it, but she didn't want to do it yet. No, she would seriously hold out as long as she possible could. |
oh dear I'm all late D: Hm. So he was wrong? That was not good. He didn't like to be wrong. The entire class was probably laughing at him. Gah. They were going to become CLOWNS? :whaa: Okay, that was... Embarrassing. Well, Hugo did always want to dye his hair red. It was quite cool, red hair. And red looked good on Magnus too. They had to wear COSTUMES O_____o How even more embarrasing. They did have music notes on them. Which looked cool. Hugo liked music. He liked to play music. What if he transfigured a musical instrument, like in that one lesson, and he could play the notes on the clothes? He'd have to do that. That sounded awesome. He looked at the people moving around. Oh, they had to put it on now? He could make art out of his face... His face was already a work of art though. He still didn't know if he really wanted to do this. At least it was fun...ish? He walked over to the make up thingy and painted his face. It had to look cute, not redicilous. He'd transform himself into some kind of cat-clown thing. That'd be awesome. After putting on the make-up, he looked at his face in the mirror. Hm, not bad. Now the costume... He was NOT looking forward to that. He liked his robes, why did he have to put on this ugly costume? Ducking away in a quiet corner, he put on the costume. Wow. That was... Something. Now for the fun part. Spells! He had to change his hair? But... His hair was so perfect. He didn't want to change it. It was too awesome. Although he could use a haircut. So maybe just... Shorter? And maybe lose the He was confident that it'd work now. He closed his eyes and concentrated. "Felintas!" he said, tapping on his head once. He opened his eyes, and lo and behold. The perfect So. Try again. "Intaris!" he said, tapped twice on his head and concentrated how he looked before. Ah, that was it. His pretty hair. Okay, now he could imagine another one. "Felintas!" he said, tapping his head. OMG THAT LOOKED SO UGLY. Nononono. No way he was going to wear that hair. "Intaris!" he quickly said, focusing on the hair he used to have. Again. "Felintas!" and there, in the mirror appeared a very crazy hairdo. Ugh, this hair stuff was making him all self-concious. He looked oh so very ugly with that hair. Maybe he just wanted it shorter. "Intaris." he said and tapped his head twice. Shorter. Shorter. Shorter. "Felintas." Tap. TOO SHORT :whaa: Oh, hair was really important to Hugo, did anyone notice that? He changed his haircut back and focused on a better shorter cut. "Felintas!" Alright, that looked okay. Maybe he'd change it after he changed the colour. "Professor..." he asked. "Can't we change it around without changing it back to our regular hair inbetween?" he asked. |
SPOILER!!: Lana Salander was starting to scratch his head with his wand as he looked around the class trying to decide what to do with his hair. He has definitely decided to skip the afro poof, then turned back towards the aviators and started to tug one side of his hair. He suddenly decided that he can try to lengthen that handful of hair. Having a concrete idea of what to do now he uttered "Felintas!" while tapping that side if his head. He could feel that handful of hair started to lengthen a few inches. He then glanced up at a young voice. Oh hey! He remembered this one from last term "No I dont mind at all." he smiled and motioned to the vacant seat nearby. He glanced at her as he waited for her to get settled, trying to recall what her name was as he surely have heard it in the common room. Hmm, no such luck with his leaky memory "Sorry kid, but what was your name again?" |
And now it's bedtime for me. SPOILER!!: The Super Suspicious Girls Carter did not like that look. He did not like it one bit. And the fact that the girls were now whispering made it worse. Much, much worse. He was beginning to seriously doubt his judgment in transfiguration partners. Before he had the chance to protest Destiny's hands were all over his face. Or... over his eyes anyway. "Watch it!" he said. Seriously, she was going to poke out his eye! He felt Destiny's paintbrush on his face. How did she not laugh during this? It tickled. Like almost as bad as Rictusempra tickling. He better look brilliant after all of this. |
picture says Kurumi's model's name and then the name of a shampoo Kurumi was beginning to feel even more uneasy as her classmates began changing their hair's shape and texture at will. Would she be able to do that? She was seriously worrying about it despite Professor Magnus telling her that everything would be perfectly fine. Picking up her wand again, Kurumi held it in her hands and looked around the room Closing her eyes, Kurumi thought long and hard, but the only image that ever came to her mind was that of her brother, Ryunosuke. Better than nothing, right? Taking a deep breath, Kurumi tapped her head. "Felintas!" Nothing. Setting her wand down, Kurumi attempted to regourp herself. She just wasn't focusing enough, right? Right. That had to be it. The image of her brother's hair still strong in her mind, Kurumi closed her eyes and repeated the wand movement. "Felintas!" Nothing again. No hair tugging, no tickling sensation, not even her hair melting in places. She at least always melted something when she hadn't performed a spell right. What as going on? She laughed nervously and repeated the spell again...and again...and yet again...but still nothing happened. Merlin...what was wrong with her? Kurumi clutched her wand fiercely with her right hand and held the mirror up close to her face to examine it. Her violet eyes peered back at her full of concern. Come on Kurumi, snap out of it! Next to Care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy, Transfiguration was one of her best subjects...so what was wrong with her today? She glanced up once more at Professor Magnus, not for any real reason other than to send her a somewhat pleading look, which mostly likely would go unnoticed with all the chaos of clown making in the classroom. She knew she ought not to do it this way, the point was to practice the spell, but Kurumi didn't want to look like she couldn't perform this spell properly. Hanging her head, she twirled her wand in her fingers for a few moments. She then closed her eyes, and concentrated all of her energy on her hair. Short...short...short...short...short...shortshort shortshort! When she felt a slightly tingling sensation, Kurumi immediately whacked her head, probably a little too strongly for what the wand movement required, and repeated the spell. "Felintas!" Her timing had been perfect. Right as the last syllable had left her lips, her abilities kicked in and her hair looked like it was being sucked right into her scalp like a sponge sucking up water. After a few moments, the tickling sensation stopped, and Kurumi set her wand down before slowly opening her eyes to look at her reflection. To anyone that had been watching, it would have appeared as though she had performed the spell properly after more than a few failed attempts. A small smile crept across her face, but not because she had managed to perhaps trick everyone in the room, but because for the FIRST time, she had been in control of the changes taking place. |

Aurora wanted to cry right now. She looked absolutely ridiculous... Her hair was already bright red though, so she didn't need to change that, but she HATED clowns anyway, and under the circumstances she should really be wearing black. She took her wand and pointed it at her hair "Felintas." ... nothing. She tried again and again and again but it would not work for her! |

SPOILER!!: Another lost partner Oh. Alright. She hadn't even seen Lana ask the head boy.. But apparently they were partners. She didn't mind though, they had obviously decided before she had asked Lana. Giving Lana a wave and smile she walked back towards her desk. Desiree was having the worst of luck with this, she just wanted to paint someone's face! Pouting a bit, she soon realized she had a face too. Laughing at herself she held up the mirror, paint brush in hand. With a swish of her brush she started painting different colorful swirls (okay so she only used pink) and what not until she was happy with it. She went with something simple not so clownish.. She then began tapping on her hair "Felintas" "Felintas" Felintas" she said forcefully a few times until to her amazement she saw her hair growing a bit shorter, and curling itself tightly together, giving an almost crimped look, but very frizzy like a clown. Perfect (as long as she could remember the counter curse) Smiling to herself she absentmindedly twirled her paint brush. Pshh. Who needed partners. |
MJ went deathly, deathly white. Then green. A lovely shade of green. Desperately trying not to dash out of the room, MJ concentrated on turning her hair blonde. "Felintas..." Nope, nothing happened. The room spun. MJ couldn't concentrate enough on the desired effect. Quote:

India walked up to the face paint and sighed. She didn't know exactly what she wanted to do - how far clown she could go? This would be interesting. She smiled to herself and she smiled. She quickly began to apply the face paint - she wasn't sure what she was going to do with the hair if the spell would work...but first, she wanted to look the part. Hello clown time. She ran her hand over her brown braided hair and sighed. What would she look like with vibrant red hair? She thought and chewed her lip, then she tried the spell. A quick tap oh her head as she said Ristaris - only a few strands changed. Grrr. She wanted it all red. Ristaris she said again and tapped. And suddenly, her hair was red. Quickly she also changed her eyes to a brighter blue to see if it would work out...after all her favorite clown had blue eyes. After this it was time to get her hair changed in style - frizzy red curls it would be. Mhm. And of course the costume and the make up. Time for fun. Now all she needed was a partner for the make-up. |
CLOWNS!? Daphne stared at the professor as she removed costumes and paint from the boxes placed on her desk. Ugh. This was terrible. She didn't want to look like clown. But...she didn't really have a choice, did she? Partner up? No, thank you. She didn't want anyone else to paint her face and make her look weird. That would be silly. The girl reluctantly walked up to the desk. She removed a box of paint and a weird looking costume. The girl wore the costumes over her robes and painted her face a little. She really wasn't liking the lesson so far. Did they HAVE to practice using mirrors? Sigh. The girl picked up a mirror from the desk. She was so not looking forward to this. Now, the girl pointed her wand at her head and muttered "Fel-in-tas" and tapped her head once. Oh, no. She looked at the mirror. Her hair was bright pink. "Ewwwwww!" Dapne immediately muttered "Int-ar-is". She looked at the mirror again and saw that her hair was back to normal. Phew. That was a relief. |
Oh, great. To do this activity, they must be in partner. Raven still looked for partner. "Anybody want to be my partner?" But she looked everywhere that some people did this activity without partners. "Okay, I will do it by myself." said Raven. She point her wand to her hair and said "Felintas!" Then her short hair become longer. "Ristaris!" and her hair become green. |
Beverly can't find a partner so she decided to do this activity on her own. I can manage and I can put make-up on myself she thought. Also she find this activity funny now she can change hair in different color but she will try blue for now. She tap her head with her wand concentrate and said "Felintas", her hair was now frizzy and short. Then another tap and in a loud voice she said "Ristaris" excited she immediately consult a mirror. It works she's so amazed and smiling on her reflection "blue looks good on me" she thought. Next is the costume and the paint and she will be done... |

Afterwards he went on about the hair. How to make her look more of a even adorable clown. He thought deeply about a clown he had seen on a t.v. show.Thinking of fluffy spiked black hair that went at all angles he said "Fe-Felintas...That should do the trick."He smiled dusting his hands as if he had accomplished a grand task."You look lovely." |

"Wow..." he said seeing the result in the mirror. "Ummm, yeah I guess it is," he added putting the mirror back down on the table. "Now bear in mind I'm not an artist so I dont know what'll happen," Gideon warned, taking up the paints and going to work. The fourth year eventually showing the results. ---------------------------------------- When the professor demonstrated the spell, the woman's hair going into a new style then the curly red of the original clown look, Gideon watched carefully. Her later words and action made him realized that he was going to have to change his style too not just do one half of the spells she taught. "Here goes..." he mused thinking on the change. "Felintas..." he cast giving one tap to the top of his head, his curly hair becoming straight. |

In returned, Eino took his hand, applied different color paints to it, then stamped his face on Kurumi's face. There, now you look pretty too. His face expression still hadn't change as he did this, but that wasn't that abnormal, really. Now, what did they had to do, change their hair? Eino glanced over at his notes and practice the incantation in his mind before trying it on his hair. Felintas. He then picked up his wand and before casting the spell spent a great deal of time just trying to think of a different hair style. Everyone else was looking very, uh, clowny, but he really didn't want to do the same. He was still holding the mirror with one hand when he pointed his wand to his hair and said the incantation. "Felintas." His hair grew first grew a couple of centimeters then it became darker, much, much, much darker. Pitch black by the time it stopped changing. He didn't look too bad with dark hair. A little scary since his eyes were so dark, but not bad at all. |

Blink. Out of nowhere a red head came up to him. Jonathan looked at her as she uttered his name. Oh, so she knows him. Red head. This girl looked really familiar. How can she forget the red head. Plus, she managed to step on his toes as well. Seriously, what is up with those? Is there something about his toes? But that was a long time ago. He practically even can't recall what they talked about when he first met her. It was a fast conversation after all. Well, he needed a partner. So yeah, he'll take just about anyone. He nodded to the girl "Sure.... Ariana?" did he said that correctly? Wait. Was that even her name? Jonathan find her familiar but he's a dork when it comes to names. So hopefully it's correct. Face painting. Now, he just hopes she won't do anything drastic. |

"Oh yay!" Faven exclaimed. She just knew that having a partner would help her get through the terrors of this project, plus, wasn't everything more fun when you could share the experience with others?? "I could ahhh, try to help with that line across your face," Faven said, some laughter finally creeping into her voice. "Thank you," she mumbled to the girl as she sat in the seat offered. "Oh goodness yes!!!! I'm struggling with the masses of ....just STUFF that is billowing about me! You look like you have something stuffed under there. I'm guessing you had a hard time as well with the massively sized outfits?" Faven inquired. "Oh..I suppose so, as part of the lesson. I have to be honest with you, I'm terrifed of clowns, there isn't much that I am more scared off....." Her voice trailed off, thinking of her other fears......."Anyway," she said, snapping out of her funk, "I'll try my hardest too! And then we can use the spells!" |

Kurumi closed her eyes when she saw that Eino was reaching for the paint feeling a bit nervous about what sort of crazy Eino was about to paint when...it was over? Wait, had he even put anything on her face? Kurumi opened her eyes and blinked several times before looking in the mirror. All she had was some pink gobs on her nose. She looked back at the Ravenclaw, but he was already working on Transfiguring his hair. She looked back in the mirror and looked at her pixie hair that was staying - which was very good. It meant that she was in control. Signing a bit, Kurumi realized that she was going to have to do her own make up. She then picked a few of the paints up and began applying things to her face, drawing a flower here and there before she was finished. Pixie cut, flowery clown make up...Kurumi wasn't entirely sure she was ready to put on the clown costume just yet...but she knew it was only a matter of time before she would have to, right? It was part of the class assignment and at least a semi decent distraction. Hair and make up done for now, Kurumi then made her way up to the box of costumes and grabbed one. |

Pixxi paid attention to Professor Magnus as she talked about the lesson, and had to giggle when she changed her hair to a bright red afro. 'That's so cool,' Pixxi thought, as she was one of those people who loved to change her hair color as often as possible. She had dreamt of becoming a Metamorphmagus for as long as she could remember, but unfortunately her wish never got fulfilled. Instead, she had to change her appearence the normal, boring way. Some people might be embarrassed by dressing out in the weird costume and put on weird face-paint while trying to change your hair, but Pixxi thought this was the best first lesson of Transfigurations she could ever get! She rarely got embarrassed by anything, so the Transfigurations lesson just made her very cheery. She happily went to get her very own costume and face paint and changed quickly and splattered some white, yellow and red face paint on her face. What she was really eager to learn was how to change her hair color. That meant that she never had to dye her hair ever again. 'Ok, so... Think about how my hair should look like,' she thought to herself while slowly pointing the wand towards the top of her head. 'It's been a long time since I had pink hair.' The last time she had had pink hair, she was only 5 years old and her neighbour, Mrs. Kaster had dyed it for her. Her mum had freaked out and used, Pixxi only assumed, this very spell to change her haircolor back to the normal, boring brown. Squinting her eyes and with her tongue sticking out slightly, she thought hard about what shade of pink she wanted, the length of the hair and so on. She mumbled the spell for a few minutes, just to get the feel of it. When her wand fizzed slightly, she knew she had it just right. "Felintas!" she cried out, and she felt a tingling feeling on the top of her head. She looked at her reflection and noticed her new, pink, long hair. Grinning as wide as ever, she put up her hand for the Professor to see. "Professor, I did it! Look how cool my hair is!" |
Quote:
"Thank you so much!" she babbled to Professor Magnus as she grabbed a painting kit and moved back to her desk. Now the fun would really begin ... After her makeover - Jez did NOT want a mirror, it wouldn't be healthy for anyone else if she screamed in horror at her reflection - she closed her eyes, and tapped her head with her wand. "Felintas!" She felt her once waist-length jet black hair shoot downwards. Without opening her eyes, Jez cast the next spell, "Ristaris!" Jez opened her eyes, and saw her hair. It must have been several metres at least, and so heavy her neck was cramping. And it was the most violent shade of bright blue Jez had ever laid her eyes on. She was Bubblegum Rapunzel! Jez whooped in delight, grinning from ear to ear. Now this was learning! |
SPOILER!!: Marilyn Now that it was her turn, Evelyn eyed the colors that Marilyn was going to use. Well, this could be alright. This stuff could wash off. It was just butterflies. Everything will be splendid. No...she was not ready. However, the girl kept quiet as Marilyn started to paint on her face, trying to act like a statue at the same time. Don't smudge it! Don't. Just don't do it. It didn't take long before she was asked to close her eyes, and that both slightly freaked her out and brought out her curiosity. She could tell it was part of the wing that was going there, yet this who getting near her eye like that was a bit uncomfortable. She didn't normally let people do...this...stuff. Opening her eyes once it was confirmed Marilyn was done, the Slytherin seventh year smiled, wanting to see the final picture. How did it loooooooook!? SPOILER!!: Professor What was THIS doing on her desk!? This outfit. Why? With a look of disbelief, she watched the Professor walk by before looking back to this clown outfit on her desk. It. Was. Touching. Her. NOTEBOOK. Picking it up with the tip of her fingers as if it had just been in mud, it accidentally slipped through her fingers and dropped to the floor. She would've picked it up too, but Professor Magnus started demonstrating the spell and she wanted to make sure she did it right. Transfiguration wasn't her best subject and if her hair was permanently changed, Evelyn was going to... Do something. Blinking and shaking the thoughts from her mind, she listened to how to do the spell, and the part about the clown hair completely flew over her head. What? Clown hair? She didn't hear of any such thing. OH! A mirror! Retreiving one, she sat back down in her seat and started to inspect the paint job Marilyn had done. Ohhhh, that was rather beautiful actually. Yea, Evelyn pulled off the red color splendidly. "This is really good." she said, turning her face so she could see the entire side where the large wing was. Hmmm. She rather liked her hair the color it was right now, but...blond would make the colors on the butterfly pop out just a bit more wouldn't it? Maybe she'd make it shorter too. Short hair. Hmm. Imagining really hard in her mind, short hair (since obviously that was as close to 'clownish' as she'd get), the Slytherin tapped her head with her wand and said, "Felintas." The last time she remembered getting a transfiguration spell right on the first try was back in her younger years at Hogwarts. Now, it just took a million tries. Narrowing her eyes, she stared at her...still normal lengthwise hair. "Fail." |

"T-Thank you," she smiled when her makeup was complimented. "I...can help you with yours if you would like..." There was still a bit of time before they moved onto the next spell right? And speaking of spells, Kurumi's eyes widened when people were changing their hair color. They hadn't been properly taught that spell yet. Most of the students changing hair color were in her immediate area, so the need to shout across the room really wasn't necessary. "G-G-Guys," she stammered as she flailed her arms around a bit. "You...you shouldn't be changing hair color just yet. The wand movement hasn't been taught to us yet..." |

Daichi nodded his head cutely when Emily said she could paint a duck's beak. "Yay! Now i can be a ducky too~" What was it with him and his duck obsession. And his father thought his hello kitty clothes were weird. Psh, he should see his duckies stuff. Turning his attention back to Emily, Daichi's smile faded as she said she wanted to be a sad clown. Right...they had to be clowns...HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE A CLOOOOWN! As the professor spoke again, he noticed a small mirror laying on their table and he grabbed one to look at himself. Dark brown smiling eyes looked back at him. His face was pale but not like he was sick and his hair was a black mess. ACK! They were laying behind! Daichi quickly placed the mirror down and turned to face Emily with a glint in his eyes. He was going to make her ppprruuttty! Grabbing the white powder he Leaning back in his seat, Daichi smiled accomplished at his art and held the mirror up for Emily to see. |

Maxwell was excited to be doing magic and something fun too, He couldn't find a partner so He prepared to do the assignment Himself. He grabbed the clown outfit He couldn't keep a straight face wearing all these colors. "Felintas!" He said pointing his wand at his head and his hair went poofy. "Ristaris!" His eyes and hair turned bright green. He did the make up and felt very silly. He though to Himself "I've never had such fun in a classroom." |
Jory was having fun. He wasn't fond of clowns but this class was making it enjoyable. He already had on the clown suit and had just finished putting on his face. He looked like the little clown from Toy Story 3. Except Jory was a happy clown. Jory listened as the Professor explained the wand movements and what she wanted them to do during practice. After collecting his mirror, he thought about his hair style. "Maybe green spiky hair,'' he thought, amused. Feeling that he was ready, Jory tapped his head once saying "Fel-in-tas!" and concentrating extremely hard on his hair choice. He wasn't sure if it had worked. Jory grabbed the mirror off his desk and stared at his reflection. He was disappointed to see half of his hair was normal and the other half was spiky green. He tapped hi head two times saying 'Int-ar-is' and concentrating on his original hair. He tried a clown style again. Tapping his wand on his head Jory repeated "Fel-in-tas!". Staring at his reflection again he was now pleased to see it completely bright blue and sticking out at different angles. Jory was pleased. |

This was actually a huge relief to him. Maybe his own colour-changing incident would be chalked up to having done the spell wrong, then, instead of anything else he didn't want to have to explain right now. Somehow, he felt better then, straightening up and taking up his mirror once more to see if there was any more make-up he wanted to add to his face, and checking to make sure everything else was just the same as he'd left it the last time he'd looked. |

catching up Lysandra went back to her seat and started putting on the costume. It seemed that the one she picked up was way to big for her. After getting situated, she started getting the makeup ready. Looking in a mirror, she started to paint her face. Satisfied with her work, she then listened about the spell that would give them clown hair apparently. She watched Professor Magnus perform a spell that changes your hair, then a counter spell to change it back. And the key was concentration. She got her wand out of her robes and started thinking of what kind of hair would look good on her. Ah ha she said and layed the tip of her wand on her head and said Felintas and tapped her head once and looked in the mirror. Her pitch black hair first turned a dark green mohawk, then a neon pink afro, she winced at that, then the pink turned white, started to straighten and spike up. When the spell finished, she backed up and looked at the results. She nodded with satisfaction and then started to look at the other students creativity. |

Then suddenly powder was being put on her face. She made sure to quickly close her mouth and lipstick was smered on her. She wasn't really registering what was happening until Daichi pushed the mirror towards her. Kid worked fast! And she looked great! "Haha, thanks! It's great!" she smiled, but then realising she was a sad clown pretended to look sad. Her turn! She used the yellow paint to cover his face to match his costume. She'd make him a duck clown! Once finished she took a brush and painted a big orange smile around his mouth. Lastly she got a sponge and put red circles on his cheeks. She smiled at her work then gave him the mirror. "There! Your a duck-clown! Or a clown-duck." Whichever he wanted, she didn't mind. Now they really were clowns! Outfits and all. |

okay she got herself weird now. Her hair is a little bit longer and green colored. But actually she thought that herself was cool without the transfiguration. Yes, her white-colored-short-hair and green eyes. And now her hair and her eyes had the same color. Green "Maybe I need to change the color of my eyes. Ristaris!" she pointed her wand to her eyes and her eyes changed become fire-red color. "Wicked!" Now she wore up the clown stuff. |
Tapping her fingernails on the desk, Thea sighed. Partners.. Great. Smiling weakly at her classmates as they past, Thea ran her fingers through her mane of dark hair. 'Does anybody need a partner still?..' scanning the room she began to chew her bottom lip slightly. Merh. She'd probably just have too do it by herself.. Oh dear. |
Quote:
"Were you talking to me?" she asked him. "I'd love to be partners. I think I have the spell down, but ..." she paused, a little embarassed to look stupid, "I'm having trouble concentrating on what I want my hair to look like, because I've never seen a clown. Do you have any idea of how the professor wants our hair to look?" |
August was a bit behind, he quickly grabbed a clown make-up set as Professor Magnus began to demonstrate the spells on herself; watching as he began to spread the white paint all over his face. He then made exaggerated smile lines extended from his mouth and pink circles on his cheeks. The Gryffindor was now clown faced. O___o Ok so now they got to try?! The third year really liked his hair the way it was but if the Professor was having them do it in class then nothing could go wrong, right? Auggie walked forward and with a grin from his clowny face to the professor, he took a mirror and returned to his spot, pulling out his wand. Ok he imagined the afro curly style Professor Magnus had tried first. "Felintas." He closed his eyes and when he opened them his shortly cropped dark brown hair was now about a foot high, and curled estatically. His eyes popped and he actually laughed out loud a bit. This was the first time he had ever magiced himself! "Professor," he choked out between laughter, "look at me!" He shook his head back and forth, his poof of hair following shortly after each move. Yeah he was leaving this style, he couldn't wait to make it different colors though, brown haired clowns weren't very good were they? |
Watching one of the third years from her seat, Thea laughed. Rolling her eyes she jumped up to get her own costune. Grabbing her wand she decided to work on her hair first. Closing her eyes, she pictured large volumous bright red hair.. 'Felintas..' she whispered. Gasping slightly, she felt her hair go static; it was almost as if she'd suddenly been given an electric shock!! Giggling to herself she touched her new.. Hideous hair. Oh ew. Shuddering she started on her make-up. Smudging the white itchy stuff all over her face, she then made her cheeks all rouge coloured. Rolling her eyes she began on her mouth. Doing it just as she had seen at the circus, she looked like a clown in seconds. Clowney faced, she smiled. Thea laughed as she watched the professor demonstrate the spells on herself. Pulling a face, she reached up to pat her afro. Oh stop.. Was it getting bigger? Na.. Must be her being paranoid. Bleurgh. Grabbing her clown clothes she put them on quickly. Now she looked the part.. But it so did not mean she liked it!! |

"Ermm..." She didn't really want to look like the clown on the box, because well that clown was a boy, and she didn't want to be a boy. "Can you do...hearts instead of the squares..." Because that would be so epic. But ooh. The teacher was talking to them. Indiana frowned as she listened. She didn't quite get that. Hmm. "ellie..." The first year turned to her older friend. "Can you show me how do to the spell again?" |

SPOILER!!: hehehehehe It was a good thing Destiny didn't care what she was going to look like. They were supposed to be clowns, and she had never seen a nice looking one. Their make-up was always wonky.. and with the way Arya and Carter were talking about the dog on her face, she figured it was wonky looking as well. And just because it was Carter, her sheep was probably wonky, too! And yeah, she had no idea what they meant about it talking. "Hush, Carter. Your eyes would grow back." Maybe.. if there was a potion or something. She'd have to talk to Lafay about that. By the time Arya joined in in painting Carter's face, Destiny was openly giggling. It was too funny. Sure, she thought the whole working with Arya thing weird, but it was so worth it. To see Carter the way he was looking.. After a few more moments of painting, and a few more colors of course, she placed her paintbrush down and glanced at Arya. "He looks AWESOME!" And as soon as the Hufflepuff finished her side, they could slide him the mirror. |

A clown has funny clothes, funny hair, funny big shoes and painted funny faces, "So you ready to paint my face?" William asked the girl. |
Justin looked around the room so as to find a partner. Hopefully he would see someone that he knew, that would definately make things alot easier. " Anyone need a partner ? " Justin asked meekly. " I haven't a partner yet , Professor. " |

"Okay, I'll paint your face, William. But like I said, I don't really know what a clown is. I don't really think I've done my own face quite right; it doesn't look like the others." She still liked the stained-glass-like patterns she had painted on her face, though, even if it did look different. But William might have his own ideas. "It looks like most people have made their faces white to start out with--is that what you want?" |
SPOILER!!: Professor WHAT? CLOWNS? A wide smile spread across Nessie's face. This was going to be awsome yet embaressing at the same time. Ness had always loved clowns, when she was little she used to go to the circus all the time. She scanned the classroom looking for anyone that seemed to be free, but most people were already in pairs. Not wanting to waste time she fetched some paint and her costume. She put on her costume as she had decided it be best to work alone rather then wait the whole leson just to be with somone. She then used her mirror to help her do her face. Turning herself into a clown was actually highly fun, even if she did look stupid. Now all that was left to do was her hair. She thought of a hair style that would go with her look. She would go for almost any hairstyle, just as long as her hair wouldn't be short. She took out her wand once she had decided. She then pointed her wand to her head trying to keep her hairstyle in mind. 1..2..3 she counted in her head before the she said the spell."Felintas" she said as she tapped her hair with her wand. Her hair changed into an afro...which was not what she had planed. She was hoping just to make her hair look frizzy and big..not short..and definitely not an afro. She looked in the mirror horrified with her mouth open in shock. This was not happening! I Hate this she thought to herself. Her hair looked like a red bush. Nessie didn't like it at all. Before she got into a panic attack she pointed her wand at her head again.. She didn't count this time wanting to keep her mind more focused. "Incartis" she said tapping her hair twice. She started calming down after she had felt her usual long wavy hair that now lay on her shoulders. Nervously she attempted to try the spell again. She now at least knew she could do the counter spell incase she'd messed up. Okay frizzy long hair...frizzy long hair..frizzy long hair she thought over and over again. "Felintas" She then tapped her hair carefully with her wand. It was perfect this time just how she had imagined it. It still looked a bit stupid, but that was the point..Wasn't it. They were supposed to look clowns and clowns usually looked stupid. She then stayed in her seat waiting for the next spell. |

SPOILER!!: Roselyn Marilyn eyed her handy work lovingly. That thing was a masterpiece! There should be pictures taken and a monument erected in it's honor...The blonde brought a hand up, masking her own laughter. My thoughts are so ridiculous sometimes... When the Professor came around, her eyes went wide. The costumes had been laid in front of them...Evie had played hers off...and it now lay on the floor. Wait! Mirrors! Rushing to get one...(and maybe knocking the outfit to the ground accidently), she looked at her honey bees. As expected they were awesome and perfect. Did she doubt? Never. Looking back at the costume on the ground, she levitated it back onto her desk. Merlin forbid she lose points for damaging the blasted outfit. "I think we have no choice, Evie...I think we'll have to wear them." O.o |

She went up and found a funny patchwork dress--it was a wild patchwork design of orange, red, purple, green, and yellow and had a wide yellow collar trimmed with a green ruffle, a green belt, and yellow bloomers. She also found some red and yellow striped stockings and a pair of red, white, and blue boots. Then she came back to William and started carefully applying a base coat of white to his face. She made his nose red, and also his lips, drawing the bottom lip larger than William's own and adding two big red dimple-dots at the corners. She drew thin black eyebrows way above where his real eyebrows were (covered with white) and outlined his eyes in black, too, then added blocks of blue and yellow stripes on his eyelids going up the the brows. She finished by putting orange stars on each of his cheeks in place of rouge. When she was finished, she handed him the mirror. "See what you think of this," she said. "I can fix anything you don't like after I finish putting these clothes on." |
Sorry for the delay. Issy isn't happy though. :P SPOILER!!: Metamorph question and answer Isabelle was walking slowly around the room, ready to correct any styling that didn't go according to plan. However she was stopped by one question. Just about to answer the young girl when Kurumi got there first. But her answer just sort of confirmed to Issy that that was what the Gryffindor wanted to talk to her about. "Yes," she smiled. "Kurumi is correct. It can take a long time to figure out that is what is causing the changes in their appearances. Younger witches and wizards don't have such control over their magic. Plus the fact it is so rare." Quote:
------------------------------------ WHAT WAS THIS?! Isabelle was hearing spells she shouldn't have been. And seeing hair changing colour when it shouldn't have been. Narrowing her eyes at the kids, mainly for the sheer cheek of them moving on before she had instructed them to, Issy walked to the front of the classroom and pointed her wand at her throat. She didn't get mad often, but now was one of those times. "ENOUGH! There should be no changing of colour to your hair, and especially not your eyes! I instructed you to use the Felintas spell, which adjusts the length and style ONLY. Nothing else." Her voice resonated around the room. Why did these kids not listen? It was clearly written on the board. "If none of you wish to lose points I suggest you stick to the spell I have asked you to do, and not move on until I tell you to. The next person to move forward will receive a massive points loss. Is that clear?" Annnnnd breathe. "Carry on with the Felintas spell, please. And those of you who are still doing your face painting. MOVE ON. I expect to see you practising very soon!" Quote:
OOC: Seriously guys, please stick to what your characters were asked to do. Issy doesn't like getting mad with you all! :P Carry on plractice of the ONE SPELL for now, and I'll move on later when others have had a chance to do it. Thank you. |

Then the Professor averted her attention from Gideon as she relayed the spell they would all be doing. She nodded as the directions were given out and she turned back to Gideon to say, "Okay, so i guess we should just..." She stopped dead in her tracks and put her fingers in his hair, "What did you do to the curls?" When she drew her hand away she pointed the wand to her hair and curled her wavy hair and made it shorter, "Felintas." |

Emily was still admiring her facepaint when she jumped at the sound of the professor shouting. Woah, woah, woah! That was scary! She was just glad she wasn't one of those who had moved onto doing the spell yet. But it was getting late, so she though she better. Looking at her self in the mirror she took out her wand, glanced at the professor again then tapped her head concentrating on what she wanted. "Felintas!" Almost immediatly she felt her hair shoot back up into her skull, though it stopped around her neck. It wasn't exactly what she wanted, it kind of looked like she'd just had a really short hair cut, but she admired it all the same. Mabye she should try again? |
That kind of announcement was exactly what Ashley didn't need to hear. He could explain what had happened, but now he couldn't decide if it would just be better to take the deduction in points instead. If only he could leave... but that would likely also result in points loss as well as other trouble. He was done, anyway. He'd put his hair back to the proper colour, as best as he could remember it, and since he had nothing else to do until it was time to move on, he could simply concentrate and do his best to keep it all the same, checking the mirror every so often to make sure it was. But honestly, he'd never actually been so miserable in a class before. This just seriously sucked. |

Talking about losing house points!! Alyssa shook her head just thinking about the 5 points Hufflepuff just lost because Justin was late. She couldn't believe that she had done that...come late!! If she didn't know better, she would have thought that Justin had done it on purpose. Alyssa sighed feeling frustrated with some of her house mates, but she decided that it wasn't worth getting angry over that. She hoped that the Prefects would speak to them about it though. |
It wasn't supposed to change colors? Lysandra started to freak out. Apparently, getting to turn into clowns made her forget what the professor said. I did the spell wrong! I did the spell wrong! She tried calming down and got her wand out again and did the same thing as she did with the Felintas spell but said Intaris instead, tapping her head twice and concentrating on what her hair looked like before. Black, shoulder length, layered. Black, shoulder length, layered she chanted in her head, closing her eyes. She opened them again to see her hair had seemed to return to normal. She quickly touched the back of her head to make sure that there wasn't a bald spot anywhere. Very glad that there wasn't, she sighed and her frantic stage was starting to leave. Ok, lets try this again, shall we? And this time, no changing the color. She concentrated on the style she had earlier and tapped hear head once, saying Felintas. Her hair shortened a few inches and started to spike up again and the color remained a pitch black. |
Jumping slightly, Thea stared wide eyed at the source of the loud announcement. Getting herself together, she quickly corrected her hair colour; the hideous style was still there though. Squishing her eyes shut, she wished for her normal slightly curly raven coloured hair back. Opening her eyes she ran her fingers through it breathing a sigh of relief. Phew! Taking a seat, she tapped her wand against the desk. A few spark shot out of the end. Rolling her eyes she aimed her wand back at her hair. Closing her eyes she thought of a different style. Less frizzy, but still quite curly. 'Felintas!' Openin her eyes she sighed. This style was slightly better! |
Emily looked around at the people around her, watching them turn their hair colour back or change the style. Right. Mabye she shoudn't try silly hair yet, and just try something simple. Thinking hard she tapped her head and said "Felintas!" Her hair came up to shoulder length, then started to curl. It was in nice ringlets and she started to smile, then suddenly it curled up and frizzed. "AH!" she cried running her hands through her hair. This really was the definition of a bad hair day! |
Nathan chuckled as he heard Jenny say he was not quite done yet. He felt her put cold paint on his nose and knew it must be red. She also brought them both a mirror as specified by the instructor. He could not wait to see what he looked like. He looked in the mirror and cracked up. He looked like some sort of strange diseased clown. When hw finally stopped laughing he jotted down some notes on the spell the professor talked about: Quote:
Nathan looked at himself in the mirror and imagined his short brown hair to have twxture of a scraggly mop. "Felinitas", with that he saw his hair turn slightly scraggly but not quite fully yet. He concentrated, "felinitas", that did it. He smiled into the mirror and then cracked up again. |
... Professor Magnus was kind of... yelling at them. Oh. It was about the... Waaaait. WHAT DID SHE DO?! :whaa: "Intaris," Nora said quickly with a couple of taps on her head, and also concentrating on the way her hair looked before. But... did the colour even change in the first place? Once it was back to normal, it still was that auburnish-light brown or whatever shade of hair she had. Not even she could tell. And now... were they supposed to practice some more? Nervously biting the inside of her lower lip, she finally decided to turn her hair into a more clownish style, and then leave it like that until professor Magnus gives them any other instructions. "Felintas," she mumbled, tapping her head with her wand and imagining her hair a bit shorter, and back to the curly style. There. That should be good, even though she still thought she looked terrible. |

Transfiguration, another subject Scott had already grown to dislike. When the proffessor started shouting he jumped a little, and then returned to what he was doing before. "Felintas!" suddenly his hair grew much longer, and he looked like an 80's rock star. He didn't like it. Wrong style, he thought. He concentrated on making it the right style. "Felintas!" his hair grew into a frizzy Afro which looked quite funky, Hendrix-style. |
Violet had finished putting on her costume and took a look at herself in the mirror while she was waiting to see if William was happy with the makeup job she had done on him. When she caught a glimpse of the full effect of herself in the wild patchwork dress, striped stockings, big colored boots, with her hair frizzed out all over her head, she suddenly started to giggle. Startled, she put her hand over her mouth to muffle the sound--she didn't want to get in trouble for making noise in class. But she just couldn't get the picture of how she looked out of her head, and every time she thought of it, she couldn't stop laughing. She had never felt so out of control before--but it was also kind of fun, in a strange way. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny What in Merlin's name were the two girls doing? They were all over his face and neck. And what's worse... it tickled. He was never going to be a clown ever again. This was awful. And why was Destiny laughing like that? It was scary. Destiny slid him over a mirror and he slowly raised it to his face. "I... I..." he stammered. "I look like a game of twister!" He decided then and there that if he got bored in class later he'd just play twister on his face. Left finger on blue! It was going to be perfect. He should start then. And so he put his left finger on the blue spot. Mission accomplished. He was distracted from his little face!twister game when the Professor began yelling. Changing hair and eye color? People were that far ahead already? They should get a move on. He scooted his chair closer to Arya then looked at Destiny. "Any more bright ideas, or can I draw my duck?" The duck was even going to quack. |

Geez...listen before you get hurt. Gideon bit back a laugh as Selina broke off whatever she was going to say as she reached out to touch his now straight hair. "Temporarily misplaced them," he teased somewhat amused at Selina's reaction to his change. He guessed it didn't help he had done the spell when she wasn't paying attention so it had been a complete surprise but it was what the professor had wanted them to practice. The fourth year surely didn't want to be yelled at like those who had found it prevalent to rush ahead of the lesson. "Nice..." he found himself commenting as she switched up her usual red waves for a tighter curl. |
Moving on! :P Quote:
But it really was time for them to move on. Positioning herself in front of her desk, Isabelle clapped her hands to get their attention. "Now we SHALL move on to the next spell - Ristaris - As was mentioned this spell can also change the colour of your eyes, but we ARE NOT doing that today. Just hair. Before I demonstrate it again, does anyone have any questions about this or the previous spell?" She stopped talking and looked among their faces. Their pretty painted faces. Some of them were very nice indeed. |

Then she touched her our curls, which were usually his trademark and she joked, "I was inspired." Her blue eyes averted his and she looked at the Professor awaiting the next direction. |
Eris gripped her wand, almost looking at it begrudgingly. She loved her wand, and was sure it loved her, but the magic they made usually took some practice, and the young tomboy wasn't exactly sure she wanted that practice to be on her head... Then again, with longggggg curly beautiful locks, people might just be able to tell for once that the first year was indeed a girl. Not that she was going to get her hopes up... "Felintas." the girl muttered, her eyes shut in concentraion. Long, feminine, pretty. Long. Feminine. Pretty. She chanted within her mind as she felt a heavy growth coming from the top of her head, taking a deep breath, her chest rose up in excitement as she felt her hair. Only it didn't stop. The ebony curls inching past her waist, the witch had a wide eyed spazz moment. She knew the spell finite incantantum but the teacher just said they couldn't use other spell. She could try the other spell, but that would take away the curls she just earned. "Intaris." She command calmly, tapping twice. Within and instant her hair reverted to it's short and patternlessly falling self. Again!!!!!! "Felintas!" she tapped her head more calm now as the locks crew steadily down till they reached her waist. Oooo she wished she had a mirro- Glancing at the desk next to her she saw one, very convenient. Only to find she looked like a boy with long hair. Wow. Guess some things can't be changed. "Intaris." she grimaced softly as she tapped her head twice. Thankful that she at least got the incantation right it seemed. |
Ristaris! THAT IS SUCH AN AWESOME SPELL! Changing eye colors! "Why can't we change each other's eye colors?" asked Victoria, disappointed. She doesn't want to change her hair color! She love her hair! Changing other people's hair would be more fun. Victoria sat in her chair, twirling her hair around her fingers nervously. |

Questions? Emily thought about it for a moment then raised her hand. "Professor. Do these two spells wear off on their own eventually? Becuase if they don't woudn't it be easy for everyone to change their own appearences?" And that would be bad because of criminals. They could become anyone at anytime which would be scary. |
Ashley slouched down in his chair, preparing to lose points like crazy on this next one. Maybe if he just paid attention, nothing bad would happen. But to be honest, he wasn't even sure his eyes were the same colour now that they were when he'd walked into the room. He took up his mirror yet again, poking at a dark line of makeup and trying to memorize what colour he was on right now so that he could keep it in mind when they got around to actually practicing the next spell. |
And Magnus. :) Quote:
She listened to Magnus demonstrate the spell and...yeah, they'll get to that. And, yes, she'll show Little Hutchinson how to do it. Hopefully, Ellie would be successful and not make a fool of herself in front of the first year. But first, she opened the paint, "Hold still," she instructed Indy as she painted on her. First the white of the face, then red for the mouth and hearts under the eyes. In just a couple minutes, the fifth year was finished. "You could go get a mirror to see it if you'd like." But Ellie was quite pleased with her artwork there. It was nothing too hard, so it actually turned out okay. Now for the spell? Felintas? Ellie wasn't one who changed her hair often. And she definitely wasn't changing the length. She couldn't bring herself to do so. But she would curl the ends a bit. Just enough to be noticeable. She unholstered her wand, thought curly thoughts, and tapped her head, "Felintas." Nothing was felt, but she could see the ends of her hair curl into spirals. "You just have to concentrate." Nod. That was the key to anything in Charms or Transfiguration. Concentration. "Do you want to give it a go?" ..... And now they were going to change the color? Ugh. Ellie didn't like that much at all. "Magnus, the spell wouldn't necessarily change your whole head of hair, right? It depends on your intentions?" So she could only change the tip color if she wanted? Something subtle and easily covered up in case of mistakes? |
