Hmm, Violet had thought the girl looked in rather a bad mood, but now she seemed to be trying to be nice. Miss Howard was right, it seems--wait and check things out first, before rushing into the attack. "Um, oh, it's just Mack, he's in a bad mood anyway and was just looking for an excuse to act up. But if you could just hold that door open, that would be a help--I was going to the middle of the train to see if anyone I knew was there." Though if she knew her best friend, Chelsea, she was probably holed up with her latest boyfriend, saying tearful goodbyes, so maybe she didn't want Violet butting in. But she wanted to find a seat, preferably not too close to the prefects cabin.

"My name's Violet," she continued, forgoing her usual handshake since both hands were full of books and bird, "Violet P. Blackthorne. I'm a first-year Slytherin...or, that is, I guess I was a first year." It just hit Violet that she was no longer a newcomer to Hogwarts, and it didn't feel half bad!

'Oh, yep,' she pushed the door open. Mack? Nice name for a bird. 'I think I'll go back to my sister's second-year compartment in a minute.'
Oh yeah. Introducing. 'Lilly Deluise, First-year Gryffindor,' she smiled. 'Muggle-born.' Or mudblood as a true Slytherin would say. Violet didn't seem like that, though. 'I've got a twin and a second-year sister.'

Minerva came walking out of her compartment. She had a strange grin across her face and an emotionless look. This would be the new Min, no one was getting over these walls anymore... She smiled at everyone passing looking for someone to talk to.

Rose was stalking the corridors for her sister, Violet, when she saw someone. With a strange... Look. 'Minnie? You alright, you look a bit... Not all there...' Rose said worriedly, waving her hand in front of Minnie's face, grinning.

Minerva looked at Rose for a second with just the grin.Oh Rose, dear Rose.. The girl I should be taking notes from Minerva thought. "Hello Rose. I am fantastic why do you ask?"

'I don't know, you don't look well.' Rose shrugged, still smiling. She was a great shielder, nobody knew how she was dying inside. 'Looking forward to the holidays?' she asked, smiling still.

"Yeah, it's short for 'Machiavelli'" Violet said, referring to her bird, as she edged her way through the open door into the next car. "I've had him since he was a little chick. He's usually pretty cool, but he's being difficult today; angry to be leaving school, I guess." Wow, she had a twin--and an older sister--a person would always feel like they had someone on their side if they had sisters. Violet wished, for like the umpteenth time, that she had siblings.

"Did you grow up in a Muggle household?" Violet went on, curious now. "What did they say when they found out you were a witch?...Although, if your older sister is a second-year, I guess they must have had a year to get over it by the time you and your twin got your letters. My father was Muggle-born, but I've never had a chance to ask him about when he went to school." Because your snobby, mean grandfather disinherited your mother when she married him and they had to go to Europe and you haven't seen them since you were little--not that you're bitter or anything ...

"Thanks...for holding the door, I mean."

Poker face Min, poker face. Her eyes had to be red from all the crying. "Well I will be once we are off this bloody train and get this dinner party over with. Are you still going to this... party" Minerva tried to smile as she said party it wasn't going to be much of a party for her..

THE PARTY! 'Of course I'm going!' Rose said excitedly, waving her hands. Hehehehe. 'Are you not looking forward to it?' she asked curiously, cocking her head to the side. Rose was hoping there'd be boys there... Mwahaha.

João shrugged. That was the problem of these people--they spent way too much time not to feel attached. He doubted he would be here for his third consecutive year, and thus, he wouldn't feel anything at all when moving away. He couldn't say anything else on the topic--he didn't know how she felt like; he had never felt that attached to some place to cry when leaving it.

Shifting his weight to his left leg, he leaned over the train wall to let people pass more easily as he listened to her. "Travelling is enjoyable." If one had the money or the job for it, it was pretty enjoyable and taught people that everything could change in any minute. Nodding slightly, he seemed distracted for a moment as he bent a little to see the window. "I think... we're nearly there." So, a final goodbye to her? It seemed so. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Lexi Salander." The surname sounded weird even to him. Marriage! "I wish you the best luck in your adult life." Bowing with his head, he smiled politely and turned towards the front of the train to get his luggage.

"Oh.. Yes I'm excited." Excited to watch all the happy couples kissing she added in her head. "Are you excited for summer."

'Yeah, I am, you?' Rose lied, smiling still. She was terrified. Properly, she was freaking out about having a new guardian, and all, and worried about her sisters, and, just, ugh.
