I kid you not, this is one tree you don’t want to mess with. It's best you keep a safe distance from the Whomping Willow’s tree limbs or you may end up with a few broken limbs yourself.
Violet nodded, now feeling bad herself. She had probably ruined it, now, he'd hate her. Ugh, why couldn't she keep her emotions in tack and her mouth shut!?
'Sorry...' she mumbled. She was, of course, referring to her question, the one that she probably shouldn't have asked. She wasn't going to apologise more than once, though, she found that hard. Blimey, she found it hard to be not happy. So, she had to cheer up. She crossed her legs, before a mischievous grin took over her features as she turned to look at him. He hadn't realised what he had just said.
'So, if I were to grab your hand, you wouldn't pull away? Unless it was accidental pulling away?' she said, smirking slightly. That was what he had saaaaaaaaaid, even if he didn't reeeeeealise it!
Was that what he'd said? Ashley really hadn't noticed, and he really wasn't thinking about it that way until Violet mentioned it, which might have caused him to choke, had he ever gotten around to actually eating his cake, which he remembered upon looking at his hands. "Um." And now. Now he was going to have a difficult time, as he could see the tips of the hair hanging in front of his eyes begin to fade into a weird greyish colour. At least he could concentrate on that for a moment, because he refused to let it spread any farther than that. Fortunately, it was only the very edge, so it was very likely completely unnoticeable. He'd only seen it because it was directly in front of his eyes. Unfortunately, he'd been so focused on that, he didn't realize until too late that the actual skin on his cheeks had gained a pinkish tint.
"Why... would you do that, though? I mean..." He blinked, finding, annoyingly, that it was much harder to stop blushing. So he just ate the cake, to force himself to think about something else. Anything else.
That...wasn't totally true. Sure, Ellie might fight him until he agreed that she was done studying, but his answer did matter to her. She actually took a lot of what Treyen said into consideration. Like, she tried to just have fun the other day during the match.
Nevermind where that go her.
Point was, she listened. She did.
Though that didn't stop her from smiling when he agreed. For now, she was done. Good. And now Treyen could get her full attention.
No, he didn't. He was actually annoyingly cavalier about them. Like that eleven OWLs weren't a big deal. Which, to him they might not have been. They all knew he'd pass his exams, didn't they? Ellie did, at least. She never doubted it.
'Then you are' Ellie was ready to just leave it at that. But...he had to go on about her wanting to. It made her roll her eyes. Of course she wanted to. Or she would not have answered him the way she did, would she?
But Treyen wasn't done. That was cute, actually, that he asked. Formally and everything. The Captain answered with a large smile and lots of nodding. "Yes."
It felt weird, but good weird, when she finally accepted. The biggest smile on his face after seeing hers. Quidditch injuries aside, she looked beyond beautiful, but he wasn't allowed to say so, so he wouldn't comment on it.
Treyen did move to seat next to her and give her a quick kiss, but...he was the one breaking the kiss this time. "Thank you." For making him a very happy Lockhart, especially after what had happened over the weekend. He'll certainly try to be less concerned over Quidditch. Or to not point out his concerns to his girlfriend.
That sounded nice, right?
And since she shouldn't ruin anything, he kissed her again right after saying thanks. He was sure she'll try to disagree with him or something.
Was that what he'd said? Ashley really hadn't noticed, and he really wasn't thinking about it that way until Violet mentioned it, which might have caused him to choke, had he ever gotten around to actually eating his cake, which he remembered upon looking at his hands. Violet laughed at the reaction she had caused. Ah, he was so flustered. It was quite cute, really. Aw, he was being so sweeeeeeet. She watched as he blushed slightly and giggled, thinking about what to do. Ha, she'd make him more flustered. It's what she liked to do in times like this...
She grinned evilly, and stuck her hand out, grabbing his hand that wasn't eating the cake. Heeheehee, see what he thought about that. He couldn't pull away either, she wasn't going to let him. Ahahaha, she was so evil. Well, not evil, just rather mean...

Of course, Ashley was stuck. Since Violet had mentioned it, he was kind of wondering if she'd actually try, and so thankfully he was somewhat prepared for it. That was good, because if he'd found himself completely surprised by it, he would never have been able to stop whatever changes might have decided to pop up out of nowhere. As it was, at least he could keep his hair the same colour as it was. His eyes faded into a slightly lighter brown, but hopefully that wouldn't be noticed.
Quickly he looked down at the remainder of his cake, but he'd suddenly become so distracted by the hand-grabbing that he hadn't even finished chewing the bit he'd eaten. He was just staring, trying to think of something to say, which was the only thing that finally reminded him to finish chewing and swallowing.
"Um. Right. See?" he said eventually, blinking possibly way too much.

Violet laughed again, still holding his hand. 'Yup, I see, you don't really like people being too close to you, do you?' she asked sadly. He was blinking a lot, and he still had a faint tinge of pink on his cheeks. She felt as if she were doing something wrong, but he could take his hand away whenever he wanted. It's just that she wasn't going to bother. Meh, he could do so himself, it was fineeeeeeee.
'So, what's your favourite colour? And hobby?' she asked him, staring up at the sky.

"I didn't say that," Ashley said, finally looking up to address Violet. Of course, he couldn't deny it, though he was sort of getting used to having his hand held onto like that. Honestly, he wasn't sure what to do about it, since now that the initial surprise was over, it wasn't exactly as bad as he'd imagined. But he couldn't really see the point in carrying on with it. Still, if he pulled his hand away, would Violet get upset again? He didn't want that. So he just left it alone for now. Honestly, it was kind of nice, anyway.
So he took a deep breath and ate more of his cake, trying to force himself to relax. By the time she started asking him more questions, he'd even managed to get the odd blinking under control. Great!
"Oh, now you'll ask me that," he said in an amused tone, even managing one of his little smiles. "My favorite color's black, and I don't really have any hobbies, though. I guess I should get one, actually." He paused to think about it, trying to come up with anything he did enough to call a hobby. But there was nothing. That was kind of sad.

"What made you do it? Use me to make Amy jealous?" she asked, crossing her arms across her chest. She wanted him to admit that he liked Amy, because it was bloody obvious. Either that or admit that he used her because she wasn't smart, and that he didn't think she would figure it out. She just needed that, and really after using her it wasn't too much to ask.
Woah. This wasn't the expectations Everett had for the conversation to go. He thought she'd be all 'glad you learned your lesson, I forgive you, now go away' but she was actually demanding answers. And Everett REALLY didn't want to give them to her. "Well... I dunno really. I just did it. I don't tend to think things through, or... at all... I did it because, well..." Everett really didn't know what to say. He just knew he wanted to make her have her attention on him, for her to be jealous. He didn't know why. Everett sighed, giving up on trying to answer.

Violet just hook her head. He'd implied it, but she's totally fix that! Heh, he was going to regret having her around... Heeheehee... Knowing that he was probably freaking out a bit, she took her hand from his and put it in her lap.
'Yeah, better late than never!' she grinned, looking at him. 'Black, and no hobby? Ah... Well.' Violet said, trying to think of another question. 'Got any pets?' she asked.

Ad smiled back. "That's what my mum said" Ad nodded at the next comment. "I lived in France for a year or two" she said. She couldn't quite remember. "The professors are good. They know what they're teaching, lemme say that"
Maddie crossed her legs again and looked up as more people walked past her, her eyes fixed on each of them. "I guess that's the whole point of the place..." she replied. She didn't even know what on earth she meant. Beauxbatons was great but the pressure to be as good as everybody else was immense and the pressure to be perfect was even worse. Sure, she was extremely pretty but sometimes there was some catty comments said about her either behind her back or to her face and it always hurt. Maybe that was part of the reason she left the school and came here instead. The people seemed a little nicer, even if they didn't acknowledge her. But at least they weren't the sort of people to stick their noses up as if they were better than her or judge her before they'd even spoken to her. Or at least, that's the way they seemed. "Did you like it?" she asked. The Eiffel tower was one of Maddie's favourite landmark. In fact, it was her only favourite landmark because she didn't know of any others. And Paris was quite obviously the most amazing place on earth. Ah. Back to professors. "As long as they teach me what's in the syllabus I don't care. I'm here to learn" she replied. Yes, she was a very academic person. Yes, she preferred study to being with friends. Yes, she missed home. No, she most certainly did not miss Beauxbatons. The only thing she missed about Beauxbatons was her friends.

Ad nodded. "Yeah" she agreed. "The people here will mostly view you as an equal, except for the select few who are just snobs" she said. "I can't remember much. I was a baby" she said, messing with her brace again. It was getting on her last nerves, and Ad was tempted to take the blasted thing off. "They will teach you what you need for your NEWTs in seventh year" she said, nodding.

Maddie ran her tongue along the edge of her teeth, the bumpiness of her braces catching her tongues every so often. And it hurt twice as much when he tongue actually got trapped. Ugh. Snobs. She hated them. Just a bunch of stuck up people who stuck their nose up at anybody who wasn't remotely like them. "Let's just hope I don't come across any" she replied. She wouldn't want to end up in detention now would she. That's what would happen if she did come across one. "Ah right. Fair enough" France was a great place. "Then I'm in the right place. All I want is to pass all of my exams" she admitted.

SEE NO ONE THOUGHT AROUND HERE BESIDES SAMMY. They better start thinking 'cause OWLs were soon and you needed to think for those. But that wasn't even her question, she had been asking why her? There were that many girls he could have used to make Amy jealous, why Sammy? "No I know why you tried to make her jealous, I'm not blind I thought about making you a t-shirt that said "I fancy Amy Smason" because she didn't seem to be picking up on it" she blabbered. "I meant, why me? Of all the girls in the school, why me?" she asked. That's what she wanted to know, because Amy didn't seem to believe that Everett had thought through who he was going to use to make her jealous. She hardly even believed that he had tried to make her jealous. Probably because he had done such a bad job of it.

Everett shrugged again, gradually becoming more dramatic and loud with his retort. "I don't really know K? I chose you I suppose because you were friends with Amy and the song worked with your name for obvious reasons. And what are you on about? I don't like Amy at all!" Everett rambled, red-faced by her accusation. What made her think he liked Amy? He didn't. At all. Totally. How could he like her? She was all.... Her. Sammy CLEARLY didn't know anything to think that he liked Amy.

THAT WAS NOT COOL. You don't yell at Sammy when she wants answers, nor do you deny her things about people's love lives. She knew all about Amy and Everett's love lives, ALL. She was like their personal love guru. "Well, you know what? You're skinny like all the crops failed on your family's farm" she said angrily. She was all for forgiving Everett if he admitted that he had used Sammy because she wasn't very smart and that he was hopelessly in love with Amy, seriously. It's not like she'd asked him to jump off a cliff for her forgiveness. So with that brilliant insult she picked her bag off the ground and started storming away from the tree, before turning back and saying "Oh and by the way, Amy's now got a boyfriend by the name of Jack Rose. He's a Ravenclaw and in our year, I also bet he'd be a hell of a lot better for her than you" she spat before continuing her storming away. Yeah, you just didn't tell Sammy that her real-life OTP wasn't real. Or they wouldn't be together, you just didn't. It was like sending a friendship termination request.

Everett could only stare at Sammy. What the heck did she just say? Skinny like all the crops failed on his family's farm?!?!?!? Everett was seriously confused. Who said that as an insult, if that was even what it was meant to be? "Huh?" Was all he managed to say to that, until she picked up her bag and started to walk away. Clearly he had done something wrong at some point in this conversation to upset her. He didn't know exactly when it was he messed up though. "Well... I don't really care who Amy is dating. That's her business. So yeah, I don't care! It doesn't bother me at all." Which he would not give in saying it didn't. Because it so did. Even if he wouldn't admit it. He would go to the grave not saying how much it actually did bother him.

kasjfksdfjla. This boy just sent out lies left, right and centre. And that's what was annoying Sammy. You didn't lie to Sammy about these things. Ever. So turning around she said "for Pete's sake poodle head, stop lying. Haven't you ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? He lied, then he got eaten." she said with a bit of a "honestly moron, haven't you learnt that I'm better than you" tone then added "And besides I already know and it's not like there's anyone around that would care" she said indicating the people that were probably too far away to hear anyways. And they were firsties and stuff so if they did care, they wouldn't tell anyone because Sammy would annoy the crap out of them.
