"Ariana! How are you? I doing pretty good. This is William Starr." Rosalie said introducing the boy to her friends.

"Hello William!" Ariana said putting out a hand "how are you!?"

" Hi Chloe and Rosalie" William told them both." I just like to kind of sit next to this tree" William told Rosalie and Chloe. "So have you both been to the poool and the waterfall?" Willaim asked Rosalie and Chloe.

Beatrice walked around the Hogwarts Grounds and eventually ended up facing the Whomping Willow, not that close mind you. She was not mad to go any closer as the limbs might attack her.

As her gaze set on the branches if the tree, she couldn't help thinking why a dangerous thing was planted there. Not that she questions the administration. She was just curious that's all. Looking for a place to sit, she found a big rock and went towards it.

Did this tree eat the birds? Maybe that was it? They whomped its prey in order to survive. Not that Gwen condoled that, being a vegetarian she believed everyone could survive peacefully without eating one another. It seemed that Hogwarts was a bit unfair towards certain species. The house elves for instance, being made to do all the chores and then punishing themselves when they don't actually do them. Tragic. "I suppose" she spoke in her distinct Irish lilt. "But its strange when you're not used to it" Even though her brothers had done a lot of explaining to her. There were some things here that she wasn't expecting. "I wouldn't think they would.." Though she could take the time to hug them, her Ma would be proud. Not that, that was what Gwen spent her time doing, she loved her Ma and she loved her morals but hugging trees wasn't the greatest of past times.

Thomas? Sounded familiar. They'd only had two brief meetings, one in Diagon and the other at the Feast after the pair had been sorted. "Yes I think that was him" she smiled and nodded, picturing his face. Slightly.. Intimidating face. "I'm glad I'm not the only one" she grinned, but it must be hard on those completely muggleborn but didn't have any siblings. They probably didn't have a clue other than what they read about. Was this girl a Hufflepuff? Those Hufflepuffs were supposed to be a friendly bunch and was where Gwenyth thought she would end up. "I shall try my best" she laughed softly.

Jonathan shook his head. "Nope. I didn't see the whole commotion." he was busy talking to a first year named Eris. Great, he remembers her name. But clearly this Nora person seemed to know more than he does. Jonathan just heard Lafay deducting points. Probably everyone has seen that anyway. Not fair. Jonathan rolled his eyes about that thought.

Oh well, guess Slytherin will have to work extra hard to take back those negative points.

Why did she looked like that? All nice like an orange. All he did was apologize about forgetting her name. Weird. Still, Jonathan gave out a smile in return. And speaking of orange, look at his hair. It's disgusting. Why oh why did that charm had to go wrong and why oh why did his mother think this hair looked better anyway? Sigh.

"Yeah, everybody steps on my foot" he said. He kind of hated that. It's not like his foot was a cushion or something. It does hurt when everyone accidentally steps on it. Bloody hell.

"I haven't, I just was in my dormitory and the Quidditch pitch. What's the waterfall like?" Rosalie asked William.

she shook her head "nope i havnt made it there yet" she said with a small smile "have you?" she asked him

Nora noticed that he rolled his eyes for some reason, so she thought she might at least try to cheer him up. They didn't have to be grumpy, just because they were Slytherins, right? And Nora was still completely sure that the sorting hat had made a terrible mistake by placing her in Slytherin. Or... maybe she had a dark side, hidden somewhere? Deep, down... somewhere? "Don't worry," she grinned. "We'll take those points back the moment the classes start." At least she wanted to be a good student and get as many as possible. She wanted all the other Slytherins to be proud of her. Hehe.

Soon enough, her grin faded the moment she heard Jonathan speak again. "I'm still sorry." There was an attempt of hiding her face that was turning red behind her hair, as she bent her head down a little, but she had that feeling that he could still see her face. Maybe he wouldn't notice? Boys never notice, do they?

Cassie nodded. She was glad that she had some exposure to the muggle world so she wasn't completely clueless about it's happenings but she imagined it had to be really rough on people on the extreme ends of the spectrum. One would be completely clueless on all things muggle and not know how to properly function if thrust into that environment and on the other end, a muggle-born with no previous knowledge of magic. She supposed that entering the magical world had to seem quite scary, what with all the strange things one was likely to encounter...like whomping willows for example."Yeah, and yes it can be strange if you're not used to it. But that is why you're here. Hogwarts will help you get used to it and grow magically. When you think about that...it's an exciting prosspect." She gave the girl an encouraging wink."Well it certainly doesn't mean they don't have their uses though. Nip loves hanging out in the trees out here. He likes it better than the owlery thats for sure."

Cassie smiled figuring that he had to be one of them, she was amazed he hadn't scared this little one off, but he seemed to be doing good for himself with making friends. Good for him and good for Gwen too. Hogwarts was so much easier with friends." Ah I figured it was him. Did you two get on okay?" He was behaving himself...wasn't he? She nodded and smiled. Yeah being different and new must be very hard, especially in a place like this." yeah, it's so much easier to make friends when you have someone to relate to."

Jonathan looked at her "We better do. Last term Slytherin won everything" yes, they did won everything. House cup, Quidditch and Gobstones. Lafay didn't crack a smile but definitely they saw some happiness in those eyes. Heck, she even made a surprise party for everyone back at the common.

Jonathan looked at his feet. Does it really need to be stepped on a couple of times in one summer. He can still remember the last time a girl did that, his toe suffered from agony. His mother was furious about that. Really, she got so furious she wanted to know what was the name of the girl. Unfortunately, Jonathan wasn't able to ask since he just had to leave and go home. "Don't worry. No harm done" he said as he saw the girl........... blushed?

Jonathan looked away and pretended he didn't saw it.

Tyler looked up at the twisting and turning mess in front of him, it was bizarre seeing a tree move like that but as the years went by he had started to get use to it. Nothing was ever normal at Hogwarts and he liked that, normal was boring after all.

He took each step carefully, worried he would tumbled right over and into a pile of dirt, not that it wouldn't be fun but if people saw him... He kept his head down, his hands casually in his pockets, his head sunk down watching the grass move beneath it feet as he squished it further down with each step. He found a rock that looked unoccupied until he sat down and realized he had company, or he'd just got in the way of somebody's quiet time. Stupid Tyler if only he'd kept his eyes on what was in front of him. "Sorry" he managed, jolting back. "Didn't mean to disturb you or anything" he said, looking right at the girl, she looked younger than him, maybe he'd be saved from being yelled at.

" The waterfall is vey pretty" William told Rosalie. How do you like the Quidditch pitch?" Willaim asked Rosalie. " I like the swimming pool there. too" William said to Rosalie.

" You would like the waterfalls" Willaim told Chloe. " I have been there" William said to Chloe. " Do you like to swim?" William asked Chloe.

Hi Ariana" Willam told her. " Glad to meet you" William said to
Ariana. So have you been to the waterfall?" William asked Ariana.

Nessie didn't know what made her do it, but she walked off heading to the womping willow. She had remembered the tree from last year. It was a highly dangerous tree. Nobody that knew about it would have gone close to it at all. She stopped about 3 meters away from the tree making sure she was still in a safe zone.

She looked around surprised at how many people were standing by the tree. They were obvouisly oblivous to the fact that this tree was really alive. She was starting to get bored and she wanted something to happen and so she continued watching waiting for that something.

"I love to swim" Chloe said happily. She really did love swiming just as much as Quiddich at times. Everyone who knew her knew that she was obessed with Quiddich but Swimming allways came a close second "can you swim at the waterfalls?" she asked him. She hoped she could.

"there's a waterfall no i havent been!"

Was walking down to the Whomping Willow this difficult last term? Nope, must be the new spirit that came with the girl that made her way down the road. The last time she'd been there was with Da- the 'he' person. They're slid on a slope and it was probably the first time she felt uneasy around him.

Louisa stood still close enough to the tree, if that was possible. It was you who made me grow so fond of him, someone was losing their mind over here. Louisa bent down, grabbed the largest stone she could throw and..

*tosses*

.."You deserve that!" She called out, giggling at her own silliness.. and somewhat craziness at this point.

The tree wasn't one to be messed with, though, one of her big branches swung forward shoving the comparatively small stone back at the girl who didn't see that coming at all and crouched just in time to avoid her very own weapon.

"You're on!" She shouted and started duck-walking to find the biggest stone ever. Ha!

Second day of school! EEEP! For the first time in her short live, she actually wanted to wake up early. She wanted to explore, to smell the fresh air of Hogwarts, not like her old school which had the smelled like city pollution. It was so relaxing, hearing the tweets of the birds, the soft breeze against your face, and of course the view to the lake and the forest was simply amazing. 'Joanna. Stop acting like Snow white,' the Ravenclaw thought to herself, reminding herself to come back to earth... again.

She walked down to a tree. She heard a rumor that it could, whomp, hit, attack people unexpectedly, if they got too close. It should be hilarious seeing someone getting whomped by this tree, maybe even too painful to watch. HeHe. But, Joanna never believed rumors, and she needs proof to believe that this tree can whomp students... and maybe even teachers. Ohhh... Even funnier. Getting closer to the tree, humming to herself a cool rap song she heard in her last days in America, she saw her friend, from the yellow house. 'Joanna. Remember to learn the names of the houses,' she thought to herself, pinching her arm, as a forgetful girl she always pinches herself to remember. "Hey," she said sitting down next to her, "Are you too waiting to see if this tree can really hit people," she said, wondering if it is common to hug people when you meet them here, at Hogwarts. Back in America, she hugged all her friends ,at least, five minutes the day she left. Sad, sad memories. But know she needs to forget the past and stay in the present, which meant that she needs to get used to the fact that she's in Hogwarts. GET A GRIP GIRL!

" We should all go there" Willaim told Rosalie." Swimming is good, but Quidditch is better' Willaim said to Rosalie." What poditon do you play?" William asked Rosalie.

"I know, are you guys excited for double charms? First class of the term!" Rosalie was sure that her favorite class would be flying lessons.

"I usually only play with family so I just fill in what my cousins aren't playing so I've played everything. I like Chaser the best. Did all of you try out for your house teams?" Rosalie asked the group.

"doesnt the merpeople live in the lake" Chloe ask William she had heard so many stories so she wasnt sure which one of them was the truth


She smiled happily at Rosalie "im very excitted about charms class" she admitted with a wide smile.

"If we can we should try to sit near each other, I'm so excited!" Rosalie exclaimed.

" " Sounds like you really know how to play Quidditch" William told Rosalie. " Chaser is a great podtion" Willaim said to Rosalie." I signed up to try out this term again for the Gryffindor"William explained to Rosalie. "Are you tryng out for the HufflePuff team?" Willaim asked Rosalie.
